And to my great surprise, my dad took me to the show room to purchase one. The designs of the watches were so stunning and exquisite. The watches had a complete sophisticate look. Each watch carried a classy and luxurious impression with cautious detailing and designing.

I wanted to buy every single watch but alas! Hence I selected one and came out of the showroom. Having a Bulova watch on your wrist is a great sign of success and superiority. I am now a proud owner of this watch. It clearly signifies my style and sophistication. Thus, bulova watches definitely serves its fan with something quite extraordinary and unique.

Surprise Birthday Party

I am feeling down at my 25th birthday. I am alone in the big city. I cried because I don’t have anyone to celebrate my birthday with me. I am so down, because the day before I work so hard and got tired and bored. So, I really need my birthday moment to recharge my energy. I phoned my mother and ask her what she will do on my birthday, but she said she had something to do. I am really feeling blue, because apparently my family didn’t care about my birthday.

I almost want to switch off my phone and take a ride on the bus by myself and get myself the tour of the big city. I don’t want to call any member of my family and let them worry for once. But, the thought died when I remember how worried they will be if I am not around. So, I erase that idea from my mind. Thank God for that. Because the next day, my mother phoned me on my birthday and surprise, they want to come to the big city to celebrate it with me. She only pretends the day before just to give me a big surprise.

Internet has played great roles in most modern lives in the past few years it was first established and used, today and until uncertain time in the future. With the onset of internet social media becomes the norm. Social media became an instant hit developing so many social media sites with different social media functions but with only one aim and that is to connect. Facebook is one such example of a social media that definitely has served its function and that is to connect. Connecting to people we love, like and knows is very easy by Facebook and almost everybody has a Facebook account or more. The number of accounts you can have is not limited to only one. If you are that adept in creating more accounts.

The Facebook fad is so contagious and it comes to the point that even new born babies have their own Facebook account. A friend who is a Facebook addict signed up for her unborn baby a Facebook account. Two weeks before her baby was due the account was already active waiting for the new born baby’s picture. The profile pic was that of her baby’s ultrasound picture. She requested friends for her baby her own circle of friends, their kids and all members of her family number of friends had reached almost five hundred in the first week alone of the account activation. While waiting for her baby to arrive she got busy with the two Facebook accounts hers and baby’s. That got her going and made her forgot all the anticipated pain of the actual labor. Well, all those likes and shares she did for those two weeks paid off when the baby was born the baby had received so many birth gifts it will be months before she will have to buy diapers and formulas. Hmm, having lots of Facebook friends has an advantage after all.

In the Hands of My Sister

The story of Cinderella is not only known for the famous glass slippers, but also for the cameo role of the two wicked stepsisters. Since their minds are working directed on the premise that Cinderella is not their biological sister, they became cruel towards her. Nevertheless, despite of the extreme wickedness of the two stepsisters, Cinderella remained to cherish her sisterly love towards them. Just like Cinderella, I also have a wicked sister—though she is not as wicked as Cinderella has.

Honestly I do find my sister’s attitude incomprehensible. She smiles more when she is with her friends; while she grunts more if she is at home. She is more accommodating towards others but not to me. That is why she is known for her cold and unfriendly disposition at home. But despite of her coldness, I could not bring myself to hate her. Our story may be a real world Wicked Sister-Cinderella story, but it is not as extreme as the fairy tale story. For we know that at the end of the day, no matter how grave are our disputes, blood would still be thicker than water. We will never end up as cruel as the stepsisters or as a martyr as Cinderella.

I found a Wreck this journal on a bookstore last week and it got me intrigued, I was thinking of buying it for myself but I think it would be much worth it if someone will give to me as a gift. I read through the pages, at first my thought about it was that it’s a mixture of being childish and stupidity, but it’s a fun gift to have. To have something that gets you to do pointless and stupid things.

Come to think about it, this journal may seem to be a new way of expressing how you feel, and wrecking a journal may bring out the creative side in you. You will not be burdened by the thought of making it beautiful because you are actually destroying it but by destroying it you are able do it in creativity. Plus it can be a good way to project your anger and frustration through the wreck this journal. I would be a great gift for anyone. Go buy it!

My husband is an officer of the law while I myself am a nurse. Though we have different jobs, it is still service related. We both have that attitude where we want to serve in any way possible. In my first year as a nurse, my husband gave me a Registered Nurse charm which I now happily wear.

I am thinking of giving him one of the joyjewelers.com polic jewelry to commemorate his years in the service. It can either be a ring or a charm as well, which he can wear when he is off duty or out of uniform.

If I had three wishes from a genie, what would I wish? Actually, I never seriously think about it, because I know it is an impossible thing to have a genie. But, recently I re-watched the movie Aladdin and I find myself wondering about the wishes. Most people will wish for wealth. But at the top of my head, I wish for health. It doesn't matter how much money you got, but if you have poor health, the money will be wasted. I think I will only wish it for something that money can't buy.

Since, the genie cannot bring the dead, make someone fall in love, or murdering people, and then my second wish would be “time”; maybe a cool power like stopping time. Ha, a girl can wish, right? For the last wish, I will use it for my knowledge in language. It will be cool to be able to speak several languages and understand it. I don't need to bring a dictionary to every country I want to visit.

Good Friends Are Not Easy To Find

Friendship is the most beautiful thing in somebody’s life. Friends make us richer therefore it’s nice to possess a few of them. However, a true friendship is not simple to find. Younger people put more trust in others so it’s easier for them to make friends. Growing up often means losing a significant part of trust in people and it prevents people from connecting with others. Therefore friendship should be nurtured in order to last longer and prevent loneliness.

I was blessed with finding my true friends in the childhood so today I can say I have great, trustworthy friends. Sometimes those friendships have been put on temptations due to our different characters but we always find the way for managing such problems. My friends were beside me in my difficult times, comforting and loving me. That made me a person that I’m today. We also shared the times of great happiness, experiencing strong feelings and adoring each other. Although they all have flaws I wouldn’t give them up for anything.

Star the Dog Who Ate Cat food

Hound dogs love to eat. Star, our full bred beagle could eat like nothing imaginable. That dog loved any kind of food and one of her favorites was cat food. Now anyone who owns a cat knows that cats eat a little at a time and then take a drink of water. This process allows the cat food to swell up in their bellies. Star did not care about this swelling business. Just eat as much as you can as quickly as you can.

One day at the cottage, we were out and Star got into the large bag of cat food in the cupboard. She ate until even she was full. Frankly, I did not think she knew what full was. When we returned home, she ran out of the house as usual and went down to the lake for a very long drink. That night Star’s belly swelled up so big we were afraid she would burst! My brother lifted her on to the couch and she groaned her way through the night. It must have been a very uncomfortable night for her. Did she learn from this….not our Star. The next day she was back trying to get into that again!

Everything I Wanted In A Keyboard

I used to play the piano in our school music room. I would snuck in there every day, just so I could practice. I was ecstatic when my mom told me that we could finally buy my first keyboard. Though it was no grand piano, the thought of having my own was out of this world. The roland synth plus two equally well known brands were my choices.

I ended up with the first one because of several features. The editing function, long battery life, and portability are some of my favorites, and that does not even include the great sound itself. When I got it, I realized that I could play anywhere I want, even in the halls of the school.

Mom’s Easy Rules for Shoes

My mother’s rules about when to wear which color of shoe made buying shoes easy. Blue pumps for everyday use; white for summer and black for evening and funerals. I wonder what she would have done in today’s world with the huge varieties available. In her day, shoes were of a certain style. Everyone wore the same type of heal and the same style of shoe at the same time. Now we have a huge selection.

No longer can we go with just three colors of shoes, nor can we choose from only one or two basic styles. The purchase of shoes has now become much more complicated. Do you want low, medium or high heels? Are pointed toes back in? The colors available are unbelievably varied. Your choice is vast and shoe stores have become vast. Even that one stalwart rule may be changing now….can you wear white shoes in winter.

The Day I Gave up a God’s Gift

What is that one God-given gift you are so proud of? Is it your pretty face that girls envy but admired by the boys? Could it be your angelic voice that creates goose bumps? Or your superior IQ which will guarantee you a spot in your dream university?

I discovered I can draw when I was in second grade. I was able to make a perfect copy of a photo in one of my textbooks. I loved the drawings and started copying the ones I like in my notebooks. When I was in fifth grade, I went to the library everyday to borrow books and look at the pictures. The librarian asked me to have a journal and draw pictures I liked and to write what I think about the photos. I did it for 2 years and on my graduation day, I was honored and called “The Assistant Librarian”.

I continued my passion until I graduated in college and had my own degree. From pencil, I learned to use oil pastel and charcoal. Then one day, I had a terrible fight with my father. Between him and my mother, I think it is he who I share the same passion. He’s an engineer and he used to draw animals for me when I was in first grade… when my fine motor skills weren’t developed yet. I was so angry I drew a grave with my name written on the tombstone. I gave him my sketchpad with all of my drawings and told him I will never draw again. It was a heartbreaking decision to have to surrender your passion. It was like therapy for me. I got to put my heart, thoughts and dreams in that hobby. I haven’t made a drawing in years it worries me I might have forgotten how to do it.

Yesterday, I went to church and the pastor talked about God’s gifts. I suddenly realized I shouldn’t have done that. Like my life, it is God’s gift to me that I’m supposed to be thankful for. And a way of showing appreciation of his gifts is to use them. It’s one of those gifts that make me unique. I have patched things up with my father and I know one day, I’d be able to find that passion again and let my hands do the sketches again.

I bought the sounding rods brush sticks without a second thought. I neither read any reviews about it, nor have tried it beforehand. Because my eyes made contact with it, I got the rods the same day. You can say that it was an impulse buy on my part. The sticks were satisfactory. It did not give me any problems like my previous ones.

Imagine my surprise when I finally read people’s reviews about it online. They had mixed reactions about it. Personally, I didn’t see anything wrong with the sticks. With its price, I even consider it a huge steal. Maybe that is all part of the buying game. Some people hate it, and others are destined to like it. I belong to the latter.

When my wife and I were starting to plan our wedding, we thought that making personalized wedding favors was the best idea. Re-united

There’s no other thing that made me happy this week than being re-united with my good old college friends. The original members of the gang were originally eight—Jessie, Rachelle, Roy, Regine, Rhannel, Christa, Rica and I. However, only five of us were able to make it in the CPA licensure exam last year. And that left Rica, Roy and Rhannel as the unlicensed member of the group. But this year,Roy and Rica had already made it as they passed the recent CPA licensure exam. And that is the very reason why we got re-united—to celebrate their success. We went to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish at Damilag, Bukidnon and at the Mother of Perpetual Help Parish Cawayanon, Bukidnon to offer prayers of gratitude for their answered prayers.

The day was really ecstatice & fun, and amazingly, it’s still the same old us, the same old us who’s talkative, jolly and noisy. We had a great laugh at each other’s jokes and I guess the happiness that I felt being with them is one of the best feeling in the whole wide world.

My Hefty Breakfast!

Last night when I got home, I was surprised when my dad handed me a square-shaped Styrofoam and said: “eat it, it’s your dinner”. I was shocked because the foam is quite heavy. I told my dad I already had dinner with my friend, but still I accepted what he gave me. And so I opened the styro out of curiosity, and was shocked because the styro contained a one-third pound hefty burger. It was one of my favourite burgers because its patty is made of 100% pure beef. I immediately placed it on the fridge and I ate it for breakfast at the office this morning. It was a heavy breakfast for me but I didn’t really care. As long as it’s my favourite, then I'm willing to eat it!

Being a bass player for more than ten years, I’ve had a couple of broken strings here and there. It is nothing new to musicians, but it can be certainly irritating. When there is a gig, you do not want to have a broken or unreliable string with you. That is why I always keep a spare handy in case of these emergencies.

Recently though, I thought to try out a new brand. I’ve been sticking to mine for the longest time and decided to give other makers a chance. Reading powerbass reviews from different users across the globe lead me to the slinky bass strings. I am now rocking these babies and I will never look back to my old ones.

I really didn’t like her in Transformers, I guess it’s her agent’s way of getting her into the limelight, but for me, she can really be a good actress. Typecast from her breakout role, I think she’s done great acting for her other small bit roles in comedy flicks, and comedy is pretty hard to pull off, even if you are as beautiful as Megan Fox.

I do find her really pretty, despite the exaggerated way she had to portray for the beauty hungry Hollywood. Her toned down roles brought out her most beautiful asset, her face and surprisingly her acting.

This time doing a cameo for Call of Duty Ghosts, this extremely popular actress has created quite a buzz, a brilliant move for the marketing team of Call of Duty. It’s funny because Megan Fox seems to appear in the most unusual of projects and just like her fellow Brunette predecessor, Shannen Doherty, she has the umph factor that really closes those sales.

From my experience working with people from other country, they like to write something brief. If I give them three questions straight, they only answer the last one briefly. So, I must learn how to write efficiently. People read a lot of messages nowadays so it is common to move unimportant message to trash.

I have about a dozen emails waiting every day in my inbox, most of them spam. So, my boss asked me to learn how to write efficiently and able to capture my reader well. It’s not an easy task because I am used to give long explanation than short one. But, after a while I am getting use to it. I have to write as short as possible without missing key information. It would save a lot of time and lots of energy. I guess the key to communication is able to write something briefly without losing its meaning.
