WE BEGIN-

Installing the CRT Effect on your Device can be very Easy. I am only going to explain how to add the CRT OFF effect. To add the CRT ON effect can be a little more complicated so lets skip it. I am adding a video below so that you can see How does a CRT Effect actually look like ;)

Just Follow the Steps mentioned Below. I will try to be as elaborative as I can and make this guide easy for You!

Pull or Copy framework-res.apk from the /system/framework/ folder via ADB or via Root Explorer
Decompile the framework-res.apk with APKTool
Navigate to address /res/values/ and open the "bools.xml" file with Notepad++
Search for "config_animateScreenLights" in the "bools.xml" file using Notepad++ Search.
Change the Value of "config_animateScreenLights" from 'true' to 'false'
Save and Compile the apk. Then move the newly made framework-res.apk into your device and overwrite over the previous one.
Reboot and Enjoy!

Some Frequently Asked Questions-

1} Can I use the Normal Notepad to change the File?

Ans- Yes, you can use the default notepad but I think it had a tendency to corrupt the files. So to be on the safer side, switch to Notepad++.

2} How to get the framework-res.apk from my device?

Ans- I will share the easy method. Use a root explorer. Navigate to /system/framework/ in your device. Copy the framework-res.apk to your SD card. Transfer the framework-res.apk to your computer via USB. Simple, isn't it :P

3} How to Compile or Decompile the framework-res.apk?

Ans- Answering this question might take a whole new article for me. So i would rather link you to a great article written by A_U on XDA. Read about Compiling and Decompiling framework-res.apk on his original thread.

4} How to move the modified framework-res.apk back into the device?

Ans- It's exactly the reverse way in which you copied it. Transfer the modified apk to your SD card. Using Root Explorer, first note the permission for the default apk. Then copy the file back to /system/framework/ and paste it there. Overwrite the previous file and set the permissions to default ones. Make sure you reboot. That's it!

1} Use any User's Profile pic as Emoticon in FB chat

This might not be the latest trick but many of us still don't know about it! Since 2011 Facebook allows us to use different profile pictures as smiley for chats. However, this trick does not work for status updates.

How To Do It:

Go to any Profile or Official page whose dp you want to use in chat
Have a look at their URL. For Eg. https://www.facebook.com/theepiblog . Copy the UserName ie. "theepiblog" in the previous example.
Place that UserName in Double Square Brackets like [[theepiblog]]
Now Paste the entire stuff with the brackets in the chat. You will automatically see the Display picture of the profile or page in the chat window!

2} Making The Profile Picture Un-Clickable

Not everyone of us likes being extremely social. Some of us just like to be present on the web but not much involved. Using this trick you can make your Profile Picture unclickable so that no one can view it in full size!

How to Do It:

Go to Your Albums -> Profile Pictures
Look for your current Profile Picture
Change the privacy setting to "Just Me"

3} Tag Friends With NickNames!

We can tag anyone amongst our friends in a status by simply using the @ symbol before their name. But what if you don't want to use their actual name in your status? How about tagging your friends with their nickname? This little trick will help you do it easily.

How To Do It:

First You need to Find out the numeric code corresponding to the profile of your Friends. Find out How to identify the Numeric code below.
After you get the code, copy the below code to add the link in your status.
@@[0:[YOURPAGEID:1:YOUR PREFERRED ANCHOR TEXT]]
Replace "YourPageID" with the Numeric Code and "Your Preferred Anchor Text" with the Nickname of your Friend.

4} Find Out the Numeric Code of any Facebook Profile

Linking to pages and profiles using the number codes like @@[0:[318761028221776:1:Epiblog.in]] has become very popular these days. But many Facebook users don't know how to get these Codes. All you need to do is go to FindMyFacebookID and enter the Profile URL. You will immediately get the corresponding Numeric ID.

5} Selecting/ Removing All Friends at Once

How To Do It:

Using Firefox, go to your Facebook page to invite all your Friends.

7} View Locked Profile Pictures (Full Size)

This can be a problem if you are searching for a friend but can't identify him/her with the small picture displayed in their profile. Now you can Magnify the profile pic with this little trick

How To Do It:

Visit the Profile whose Profile Picture you want to see.
Right Click on the displayed picture and select "Copy Image URL" or "Copy Image Location"
Open a new tab in the Browser and paste the URL. You will find "s160x160" in the URL, replace it with "s720x720" and hit Enter. Check Out the Examples Below-

What to Do Before Rooting my Android Smartphone?

You might be thinking of Rooting your precious Android Smartphone just to make sure it works better than ever before. You would love to make all the customizations on your device that you just saw on someone's phone! Don't be confused with Rooting. Learn to Love your phone and root it the best way possible.

We have Tried to jot down a few stuffs or Precautions to take care of before rooting your Smartphone. Some of them might sound foolish, some might sound creepy, but trust me. When you have your precious smartphone at stake, you won't wanna take any risks , right? :)
We have already discussed on What is Rooting and what are the benefits of rooting. We have also discussed on various uses of Rotting such as increasing internal memory, overclocking or increasing processor speed, increasing RAM or Improving device performance and much more.
The mentioned Points are mostly Based on my own Experience. Not many of them require detailed information. I would try to be as descriptive as possible.

Things to Do Before Rooting Android Phones-

Before Rooting, Make sure your Firmware or Build Version is Rootable. You might get frustrated while trying to root a device which cannot be rooted with the installed Firmware.
In some cases, you might need to Downgrade or Upgrade your Firmware using Odin, Flashtool or other such tools. Make sure you follow a responsible tutorial while working with firmware.
Read our guide to Some Technical Terms for Rooting for understanding your phone better!
Never fear of Bricking your phone. I believe that the chances of Bricking are only 0.01% (If you follow all the instructions carefully from a responsible Blog)
Do not refer to Rooting Tutorials set up on small, spammy blogs. You might end up destroying your Smartphone. Refer to sites such as the XDA Developers, TheUnlockr, Epiblog.in, etc to ensure you receive the best and Tested tutorials.
Do not attempt to root or flash anything using Recovery if you have Battery charge below 75%. It is always recommend to fully charge you Device to 100% before performing any magical tricks to your phone.
Do not use old, corrupted SD Cards while using recovery. Try the SD card on some other device to make sure it works perfectly.
Do not Force attempt to root your device or install a custom Rom that is designed for other Phones. This might increase the chances of bricking!
Install all necessary Drivers on your computer before trying any root method.
Close or Shutdown any Antivirus or Firewall service on your computer or Mobile phone while attempting to root as they might interfere with the process.
Always keep a Nandroid Backup handy just incase you encounter a bootloop or Force- Closes.
The Best solution to Force Closes is using the "Fix Permission" in the Recovery. (Sorry I am Drifting away from the topic :P)
Many Devices can be rooted using Superoneclick root, Flashool or other such toolkits. Try a manual method specifically designed for your device before trying them as they might make up some mess.
Do not try to solve all your problems or Doubts by yourselves. Even the smartest person on earth can have the silliest doubt. Fell free to ask us or the people at XDA. We would try our best to help you ASAP.
Make a full research for Rooting your specific device before attempting to root. You might face an unwanted situation if you are not prepared!
Make a Backup of Everything you can before Rooting. Copy your media, contacts, messages and pictures on your computer to make sure you do not loose them later. I would recommend using Wondershare Mobilego for Android to make these Backup Before rooting.
