Disneyland Album by Designer Jennifer Priest

Isn’t it difficult to scrap for teens, tweens, and whatchamacallits? Yeah. Sigh. Spoken by the mother of a 13 year old.

My daughter went to Disneyland for Girl Scouts and I thought TWINE is a great way to make a cute book for her about her trip. Twine and neon. Yay. Yay? I am not sure I like the whole 80′s thing coming back BUT it was pretty easy to make custom embellishments with my Epiphany Crafts shape tools to match the Heidi Swapp Neon stickers I got for the book. And black and white are always a winner!!!!!!

I made a little video showing how I did all that I did — enjoy! I also added gorgeous blinged out Connie Crystals to the spine of the book and a couple small Want2Scrapcrystals to make mickey heads on my Square 25 Epiphany Crafts charms. Easy peasy!

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching for many and attention turns to treats. (for you!)

Actually treats and special ways to say thank you!

Today we have some sweet ideas using our Epiphany Crafts Flower Punch to add a special touch to those sweet treats and more!

Dressed Up Treat Bags by Designer Tessa Buys

When I need a quick and simple gift, I turn to plain jane paper bags. Dressed up with pretty papers and Epiphany Crafts accents, these gift bags are quick to make and darling to boot. Create a tag by layering patterned papers, faux polaroids, and doilies. Add embellishments and finish with Epiphany Crafts flower buttons. To attach the tag to the paper bags, dress up a mini clothespin with another flower button. Because the tag isn’t permanently attached, the bag is reusable and the clothespin can be used again and again, too.

Other Supplies:
paper bags
doilies
clothespins
patterned paper: Crate Paper, My Mind’s Eye, American Crafts
felt flowers, embellishments: Precocious Paper on Etsy
alphas: Jillibean Soup (gray), Cosmo Cricket (blue), October Afternoon (kraft)
thread: DMC

Candy Treats Boxes by Designer Amanda Coleman

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
Button Studio Tool Flower 20
Button Studio Accessories Flower 20

Additional Supplies:
Paper (Crate Paper Pretty Party)
Dark brown paper (GCD Studios Bonjour collection)
Jute twine, pink crochet ribbon (May Arts)
Scallop punch (Fiskars)

For a quicker version, just create a simple wrap around each chocolate and embellish as desired.

Making the little boxes was easy. Here is how I did it:

1. Start with a 2 7/8″ x 6″ piece of paper. Score each long side at 3/8″. Create four short scores at 1.5″, 1 7/8″, 4″ and 4 3/8″.

2. Trim the sides from the top of the box and cut slits at the bottom. Fold the box and adhere the sides together.

That’s it! When you are done, decorate the box as desired.

That’s right!

It’s that time of the year when school is winding down and summer is winding up!

Time to think about outdoor plans, summer parties and celebrating this great country in which we live.

Designer Audrey Pettit created today’s projects and we would be wrong if we did not point out one of our favorites about her project. Not only is it patriotic and a perfect way to decorate using Epiphany Crafts…it follows one of our favorites….recycle, reuse, repurpose!

We love this and the fact that it’s kid friendly too! Have them make flowers in bright colors and more…endless possibilities!

Patriotic Ornaments by Designer Audrey Pettit

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:
EC Star 25 Shape Studio Tool and Star 25 Clear Bubble Caps

Cardstock: The Kraft Outlet
Patterned Paper: LilyBee, October Afternoon
Stamps: Hero Arts
Punches: Stampin’Up and McGill
Score Tool: Score Pal
Paint: Delta
Glitter: Stampendous
Trim: vintage
Memo Pins: Tim Holtz
Ink: Clearsnap and Stampin’Up
Adhesive: Glue Arts Glue Gun and U Cut It Foam Adhesive
Recycled TP Tubes

1. Using a ruler, mark 1/2″ increments along the length of some tp tubes. You will need 4 tubes to create 3 ornaments. Cut tubes into 1/2″ rings.

2. Paint tube rings white and allow to dry thoroughly. While tubes are drying, punch circles from chipboard. You will need one circle for each ornament. Then cut 1/2″ x 6″ strips of patterned paper. Fold each strip in half and adhere to create 1/2″ x 3″ strips.

3. Working in a small section at a time, apply hot glue to a chipboard circle. Press flattened tp tube rings into the hot glue, alternating with folded strips of the patterned paper. Continue working until you have covered the entire circle.

4. Create star bubble cap embellishments using the Epiphany Crafts Star 25 Shape Studio Tool and blue star patterned paper.

5. Cut 1.25″ x 12″ strips of patterned paper. Using a scoring board, score at .25″ intervals. Accordion-fold strips, attach the ends together into a ring, push flat, and adhere onto a punched circle to create a rosette. Punch a scalloped circle from a contrasting paper and adhere on top of the rosette. Punch a 1″ circle from patterned paper and adhere to the rosette with foam adhesive. Add Epiphany Crafts stars to the center. Attach trim around the edge of the rosette using hot glue. Add glitter to the rosette using hot glue.

6. Cut banner strips from kraft cardstock and stamp sentiments in navy ink using small alphabet stamps. Tuck memo pins into the foam adhesive behind the 1″ circles and clip banners into the pins.

7. Hang from string, or attach to a wooden chopstick or skewer using hot glue.

Square 25 Studio Shape Tool & Matching Bubble Caps

Directions:

I painted the frame in a coordinating teal and, like any good crafter, I immediately wrecked distressed it. This is something my husband does not understand: “But you just painted it!” “I know, but now I have to make it look artsy.”

Since this project had to remain flat, I added dimension by inking the edges of all of the die cut components and layering 2013 with dark paper.

Adhere the sheet metal to the frame with E 6000 (or other wood/metal adhesive) and let cure. Adhere the paper to the metal with a tape runner and, using covert placement, adhere the acetate calendar to the paper with a couple of well placed glue dots (Ex. under where you will put the magnets for the month/dates).

I used the Shape Studio Round 14 tool to make the magnets for the dates. In addition to creating a magnet for every day of the month, I also used the Shape Studio Square 25 tool to make a magnet for each month. The only trick is keeping them in a place where your kids won’t find them!

The playful, sweet colors of the Lily Bee papers and Epiphany Crafts Team Room Vintage Settings were perfect for this page about a little innocent fun on Easter morning.
