I just saw them at Churchill's in Miami on July 20, 2012 they were simply.........

AMAZING!!!

I am looking forward to seeing them again in Pensacola in October with Octopus Garden. I can't wait for the dueling theremins!

Coffee District and Terrapin Shwag

I had a nice visit to the Coffee District, in Delray Beach, Thursday night to attend their Terrapin Beer Co. promotion. I arrived late but Chung (Owner and gracious host) let me stay long enough to taste Terrapin's Gamma Ray through the Randall (The enamel animal) with fresh Georgia peaches, it was sweet and DELICIOUS!!

WheatWine Ale Brewed with Honey
This massive wheat beer is brewed with an obscene amount of locally grown Tupelo and Sourwood Honeys from Savannah Bee Company. This Gamma Ray will stop any super hero’s arch enemies in their tracks!

Bell's Porter

Dogfish Head Brewery got me into craft beers a few years back reintroducing me to what I had previously known as micro-brews. Since then I have been trying them ALL. Hailing from Michigan originally makes me slightly biased for the many Michigan breweries and their delicious brews. So I decided that it was time to start reviewing some of the tasty beers Michigan has to offer! Bell's Porter is a really nice place to start. Poured out of the bottle into a pint glass it is rich and dark, it created a two inch cream colored head and left some lacing. It is rich tasting beer with hints of coffee and vanilla, a little bit of hop and a lot of malt. This beer gets better as it warms up to room temperature as most good beers do. Can't wait for the next bottle.

Dogfish Head 'Punkin Ale'

Delicious, a nice brown ale with pumpkin and spices. It has a wonderful flavor with just a hint of pumpkin it's nice because I'm not a big fan of pumpkin. Nice and hoppy. The spices are subtle but flavorful. Perfect for the fall season. Another top notch beer from DfH!!!!

Big House Renovations!

I was one of the many people who got a preview of the Big House renovations on July, 14 2010. The facility is amazing and has regained the titled of the largest capacity of any stadium in the United States official capacity for the next season is 109,901. The football game attendance often exceeds 111,000 when band members, stadium staff, and others are added. (Wikipedia 2010) Here are some of the amazing pictures I took.

So I sampled my first bottle Saturday night. It was delicious, smokey, nutty and typical of DfH quite potent. After one beer I was totally toasted. Yum!

These are perhaps the most interesting and precise drawings I have ever seen. I was instantly hooked when I saw the different mediums he was drawing on! What a unique concept. His matchbooks are out of this world! I don't know how he can draw so small with such amazing detail some of his works are only 1"x 1" in dimension! This is a really sweet brown ale. It is strong as hell, like drinking brandy. Of course it is one of my favorites, a little dab will do ya! They have this one on hiatus for now good thing I have a stash!

Dogfish Head '120 Minute IPA'

The best of all Dogfish Head Beers. With 20 % alcohol it packs quite a punch and after one you won't want another . It's sweet and super hoppy. I have a stash that I'm aging can't wait to see how it turns out after a few years!
