mes and rupert have at long last been accepted into the exclusive club that is "the QB team"

we're just over the moon...not sure bout not being fully  paid up members but we get all the gingernuts we could ever wish for...what more could we ask for ?

answering note to self...on closer inspection theres no sleeves in the staff  jackets so they must have run out of material !!!

hello folks 

well we're nearly half way through january already and the resolutions have all been made and abandoned !

the weather has been strangely mild this year so thankfully the gas bill wont be as hefty for the barn this year !

bossy woman nearly had a fit when she read the meters last year, well it was rather parky !

of course its also the time  that the little cute cuddly things that upstage me every year  arrive!

lambs, sneaky little blighters they are, dont even stand still long enough for me to get a photo of them ! 

course i always look cute............they grow up !!

a huge big welcome to 2012......the official year of the gingernut........just like every other year really !

mes and the gang are a bit excited this year what with the diamond jigglee, the lympics and all !

course theres lots happening over the fence to....."the bay" is now started....wow, how posh is that !!

what a smashing day weve all had. 

way too much to eat

a tad to much to drink as always but all in all a great day.

last night was a bit odd though 

sneaked outside for a breath of fresh air after trigger let go of one of his eye watering farts.

it was amazing...........not the fart, the view ...two lovely clear stars

said to jill you know i think thats dear lillybun and ozzie looking down on us from above. 

jill got all teary after that...hate when she does that.

just as we were bout to go back indoors we witnessed another amazing sight

we thought it was the bearded man with the kind face on his tractor but he never wears red so it had to be santa in his sleigh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

note to self............must find out if the bearded man with the kind face is really santa !

how excited are we ?

its nearly christmas, all our pressies are wrapped up and its time to chill out at last. 

jill decided to let jenny decorate the tree this year and shes done really well just dont tell jill i said that.

 

jill has her really bad christmas  cd playing in the background.

gawd i really do not like wham, mud or wizzard!

secretly we all love it but we dont tell her that!

thanks to the mild weather tivity on ice is no longer an option so we took a vote and decided to flog our skates on ebay and just chill in the stable tonight.

bit of a relief really  since george mikey and arthur had secretly approached rupert to ask if they could be the three wise men this year !!

caspar, tim and anya decided there was no way they were transporting hay bales shaped as humps and the alpacas!

i means really, they cant remember their names most of the year never mind their lines and they thought they had to bring gifts of cold, a frankie says tshirt and dirt !

who would have thought it, hard of hearing as well as thick !

harriet wanted to play mary and there was no way i was carrying her, have you seen the weight shes gained recently ?  me sciatica would never cope with it !

when madge decided she wanted to play the part of joseph i decided that was the straw that broke this donkeys back !

said the tivity is off lets just have a nice relaxing night in.

thankfully everyone agreed.

i guess all thats left to say is (in noddy's immortal words )...........

sent lucy and jill out to check on the ice today 

 

as you can see it aint looking good 

not only that i had to listen to jill moan bout her cold feet ALL day  (oh yes i really do mean ALL day! i love her dearly but oh boy can she moan !)

rupert says he cant cope with another karaoke so mes looking into the possibility of a synchronized swimming tivity !

rupert says its the daftest idea mes had in a long time

madge says shes still coming to terms with the fact i can spell synchronized !

 

 

right heres the plan  

the weathers just plain freaky for this time of year so if we dont get a big freeze in the next 48 hours the worst case senario will be a fancy dress karaoke ......

just as we had all practiced with  our specially fitted ice skates  (you have no idea how difficult it was to get us all fitted with skates ) for this years special tivity on ice the big thaw has arrived !

gutted we are !

we were all geared up for the big freeze the same as last year but a sneaky look at the thermometer reads 12 degrees !

thanks to the mild weather its  a disaster !!

who would have thought that !!!

might need to talk the bossy woman into freezing up the hot tub and power pool in the spa !!
