Jimmy Eat World’s 2026 Bleed American 25th anniversary tour continues to take shape as one of the year’s most expansive alternative rock runs, with fans in NJ getting a chance to see them among the sand and surf of Asbury Park on June 25, 2026.

Earlier this year, Jimmy Eat World announced the massive international tour celebrating their landmark 2001 album Bleed American, launching June 9 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, and wrapping in November at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, FL. The extensive run also marks the band’s return to the Warped Tour stage across multiple cities after a 25-year absence, alongside a handful of previously announced U.K. dates highlighted by performances in Halifax, Cardiff, and London.

At the center of the tour is a renewed focus on Bleed American, an album that helped define early-2000s alternative rock and push Jimmy Eat World into mainstream success. The record has gone platinum in the U.S. and gold in the U.K., with “The Middle” recently joining the Spotify Billion Streams Club, and its influence continues to stretch across generations of alternative, emo, and pop-rock artists.

For New Jersey fans, the June 25 stop at the Stone Pony Summer Stage stands out as one of the key Northeast shows of the summer. The Asbury Park date lands in the middle of a dense East Coast run that includes Brooklyn, New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Bridgeport, and Nantucket, making it one of the most tightly packed regional stretches of the entire tour. The Stone Pony Summer Stage, a longtime summer hub for major alternative acts, adds another marquee name to its 2026 lineup with support from The Wonder Years and Girls Against Boys.

The East Coast routing begins June 16 at Brooklyn Paramount, followed by Pier 17 in New York City, Philadelphia’s Skyline Stage at the Mann, Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, Nantucket, and Bridgeport, before arriving in Asbury Park on June 25.

Across the tour, the band has emphasized a refreshed perspective on the album and its legacy. Drummer Zach Lind has described the run as a chance to reconnect with longtime fans, while frontman Jim Adkins said, “I feel like at this time in our lives, especially for me, it’s important to get back to a place that you can savor. This tour is designed to be an elevated version of our show, a heightened experience with production that reflects 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment.”

Adkins added that fans can expect a full-album performance of Bleed American, along with deeper cuts and selections spanning the band’s catalog.

The tour continues across Canada, with festival appearances in Halifax and Toronto, and additional U.S. dates through the summer and fall, including Warped Tour stops in Washington D.C., Long Beach, Montréal, Mexico City, and Orlando, as well as festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Shaky Knees.

By the time Jimmy Eat World reaches Asbury Park, they will have already moved through some of the most in-demand Northeast markets of the run, positioning the Stone Pony Summer Stage show as both a regional highlight and one of the defining Jersey Shore concerts of summer 2026.

About Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World — one of the most successful and enduring alternative-rock bands of their generation — celebrate a landmark moment in 2026: the 25th anniversary of their seminal album Bleed American. The record not only launched the Mesa, Arizona, quartet into global recognition but helped define the sound of 2000s alternative rock and the wave of emotionally driven, melodic guitar music that followed.

Originally released July 24, 2001 via DreamWorks Records, Bleed American showcased the band at a creative peak. The record produced a run of enduring hits: the explosive title track “Bleed American,” the “sing it back” stadium-bright “Sweetness,” the celebratory fan favorite “A Praise Chorus,” and the crossover smash “The Middle.” That last one hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, reached No. 5 on the Hot 100 during a 33-week run, earned RIAA platinum status, and in 2024 joined Spotify’s Billions Club — which may have received a slight bump after Taylor Swift lip-synced the song in a commercial for Apple Music. In 2025, “The Middle” was named one of Rolling Stone’s 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far.

As Bleed American turns 25, its legacy can be felt in a new generation of artists—from pop-rock and mainstream alternative acts to the 2010s emo-revival scene. Bands such as Paramore, The Wonder Years, The Maine, Hot Mulligan, and countless others have cited Jimmy Eat World’s melodic clarity, emotional honesty, and guitar-driven precision as foundational to their own work. Its reach also extends to major pop and indie artists who have referenced the album’s songwriting approach and sonic balance as a blueprint for mixing intimacy with widescreen hooks.

Beyond the studio, Jimmy Eat World have become mainstays at major festivals around the world, including When We Were Young, Lollapalooza, Coachella, Reading, Leeds, Southside, and Hurricane, and have appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Saturday Night Live. Their contributions to Arizona’s music legacy were recognized in 2024 as October 17 was declared Jimmy Eat World Day in Phoenix, AZ.

The band’s most recent release, the six-song Something(s) Loud EP (2025), continued their run of heartfelt, meticulously crafted songwriting — further proof that even as they celebrate Bleed American’s 25-year legacy, Jimmy Eat World are still evolving, still resonating, and still very much in the present.

Her latest single, “ORIGAMI!”, serves as both a celebration and a statement, embracing themes of liberation, self-love, and personal freedom while delivering the infectious energy that has made her one of pop music’s most enduring stars.

Drenched in playful double entendres and unapologetic confidence, the track showcases Kesha at her most fearless. The song arrives as part of a larger artistic rebirth, one fueled by creative independence and a renewed sense of purpose.

“ORIGAMI! is a celebration of sex, wherever and with whoever you choose to have it with,” Kesha shared. “It’s about embracing freedom and self-love that we all deserve.”

I never had the chance to see Sublime back in the ’90s. I was about 13 when “Santeria” hit the airwaves, and almost immediately, we lost Bradley Nowell. Just as the band was stepping into the mainstream, its story was tragically cut short, leaving a void in the music world and in the hearts of fans everywhere. Somehow, I missed them when they came to the East Coast back in the day, so my experience was limited to tribute acts like Badfish or the Sublime with Rome era. Both were enjoyable, but they were not Sublime.

So when I learned that Jakob Nowell, Bradley’s son, would be leading the band alongside original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Their tour announcement was electrifying news for fans, even though New Jersey and Philadelphia weren’t on the schedule. Brooklyn was a manageable drive that could be done for a night of music.

Originally scheduled at the Brooklyn Mirage, the show was relocated to The Great Hall after the Mirage declared bankruptcy. Industrial Brooklyn isn’t known for easy parking, and navigating the streets that evening was a challenge. Inside, lines snaked like theme park queues, and wristband-only payment systems added a small layer of stress. But once we were inside, none of that mattered. The crowd, undeterred by delays or disorganization, was buzzing with energy. Everyone was dancing, singing, and clearly thrilled to be part of the night.

The Bouncing Souls, New Jersey punk legends, kicked things off with relentless energy. Opening to the iconic strains of Simple Minds’ “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”, they launched into “Hopeless Romantic”, instantly igniting the pit. This wasn’t a brief opener—they delivered 15 full songs, moshing included. Highlights included “Kate Is Great,” “True Believers,” and their cover of “Lean on Sheena.” They closed with the sing-along favorite “Gone,” leaving fans hyped and ready for what was next.

Following them, The Interrupters brought high-energy ska-punk from Los Angeles. Their set opened with “Gave You Everything” and included “On a Turntable,” “Raised by Wolves,” “She Got Arrested,” “In the Mirror,” and “She’s Kerosene.” They engaged the crowd with playful stories, helped fans in the pit, and moved around the stage with contagious enthusiasm. The Interrupters reminded everyone that live music isn’t just about the songs—it’s about connection, energy, and fun.

Finally, around 10:40 pm, the moment everyone had been waiting for took place: Sublime. The stage was set with graffiti-style backdrops and a wrong-way street sign, evoking the band’s iconic California vibe. Before the band took the stage, a fan even brought a blow-up dalmatian, which became an entertaining focal point near the front of the crowd while the band prepared.

When the opening chords of “Garden Grove” rang out, the crowd erupted. It was the perfect opener—atmospheric, laid-back, and quintessentially Sublime. From there, the setlist became a carefully crafted journey, balancing nostalgia, high-energy punk, and reggae grooves.

High-energy punk moments included “Ebin,” “Right Back,” “New Thrash,” and “Greatest Hits.” We were entertained with reggae grooves and sing-alongs of “5446 That’s My Number / Ball and Chain,” “Smoke Two Joints,” “40oz. to Freedom,” and “April 29, 1992 (Miami).” They added in the deep cuts and covers of “STP,” “Prince of Sin (Falling Idols cover),” and “Hope (Descendents cover).” They also dazzled the crowd with their new track “Ensenada.”

The closing stretch was pure Sublime magic: “Wrong Way,” “Badfish,” “Jailhouse” (Bob Marley cover), “What I Got,” “Pool Shark”, “Waiting for My Ruca,” “Feel Like That” (Stick Figure cover), “Same in the End,” and finally “Santeria.” Jakob even jumped into the VIP crowd during the final chorus, sending waves of excitement through the audience.

The audience contained a mix of generations. Parents with children, longtime fans reliving their youth, and younger fans discovering Sublime for the first time. While there wasn’t much moshing or crowd surfing, the energy was palpable—dancing, singing, and swaying to every beat. The industrial venue might have been chaotic, but inside, it felt like a beach party transplanted into Brooklyn.

Aside from the music, the band thoroughly entertained the crowd. Jakob’s voice is strikingly reminiscent of his father’s, yet he brings his own presence and energy. He commands the stage effortlessly, moving from intimate solo moments to high-octane crowd engagement. The new material, including “Ensenada,” shows promise and remains faithful to Sublime’s sound.

Another interesting track was “Feel Like That (Stick Figure cover),” which featured old vocal tracks from Sublime recordings layered with a fresh instrumental arrangement, bridging nostalgia with innovation. It felt like a conversation between past and present, giving longtime fans a sense of familiarity while introducing a new sound.

Despite delays, logistical hiccups, and the challenges of a relocated venue, the night was unforgettable. For fans who missed the original era, this felt like a gift: a chance to see Sublime live, honoring Bradley’s legacy while embracing Jakob’s presence and energy.

The setlist was carefully curated to take the audience on a journey—laid-back grooves, punk blasts, deep cuts, and timeless hits. For two hours, an industrial corner of Brooklyn turned into a beach party—complete with smoke, sun-soaked vibes, and songs that feel like summer bottled up in sound.

When the lights came up after “Santeria,” the crowd was buzzing. Jakob Nowell isn’t just carrying a torch—he’s breathing new life into a legendary band, proving that Sublime’s story isn’t over. It’s evolving, and for the fans in that Brooklyn warehouse, it was nothing short of magical.

At first glance, the lineup for The Offspring’s summer stop at PNC Bank Arts Center seemed like an unusual mix — New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, and The Offspring — bands from different corners of the alternative spectrum. But once the music started at exactly 7 p.m., it became clear that the glue holding them together was simple and loud: punk rock energy. All three acts brought their own shade of it, and together they made for a night that felt both nostalgic and alive in the present.

We got to the venue early — as early as the NJ summer traffic would allow — and still weren’t alone. The parking lot shared with NJ Transit’s park-and-ride was buzzing with fans tailgating from the backs of SUVs, folding chairs lined up as if it were a backyard party. After a mile-long trek to the gates, the air already felt like a gift. A week of oppressive heat had finally broken, leaving a perfect night — cool but not cold — for an outdoor amphitheater show.

After checking in at the side entrance for photo duties, I had a few minutes to wander, find my seat, and take in the pre-show hum. The crowd was filtering in, but the real surge came later.

New Found Glory opened to a half-filled venue, but the fans who were there made it clear why they’d come early. Their short set was a high-energy burst, like jumping back into a high school summer, blasting pop-punk from the car stereo. They even gave a nod to New Jersey music history with a shout-out to the long-gone Hunka Bunka Ballroom.

Jimmy Eat World followed, the crowd now twice as big. They delivered a tight, 40-minute set spanning 30 years of music, starting with “Pain” and ending with their eternally uplifting anthem “The Middle.” By the time they left, the seats and 10,500-capacity lawn were full — a sold-out sea of people ready for The Offspring.

Even before The Offspring hit the stage, the show had begun. A white blimp with their logo floated through the venue, puppeteered from below. The massive screen counted down 25 minutes with an animated skeleton, while cameras roamed the audience for “F*** You Cam” and “Booty Cam.” Perhaps The Offspring’s humorous answer to the Coldplay “Kiss Cam?” incident. In the aisles of the first section someone in a gorilla suit ran around, later reappearing on stage during the Ramones cover.

At 9:00 sharp, the lights dropped. The crowd roared. The screen flashed an 8-bit version of “The Kids Aren’t Alright” before the speakers exploded with AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.” Without hesitation, the band tore into “Come Out and Play” — the perfect opener: a chant-along classic that pulls everyone in without blowing them out too soon.

From there, the set was a tour of their history — a 90-minute rollercoaster of nostalgia, high-speed punk, playful chaos, and heartfelt moments. Early hits like “All I Want” and “Gotta Get Away” sat alongside 2000s anthems like “Want You Bad” and newer tracks like “Looking Out for #1” and “Make It All Right.” The pacing was masterful: they’d spike the energy with “(Can’t Get My) Head Around You” or “Hammerhead”, then give just enough breathing room before the next sprint.

Mid-show brought some additional fun, humor, and heartfelt moments. They played an energy-fueled Ramones cover of “I Wanna Be Sedated,” with the gorilla from earlier running around the stage during the track. They also performed a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne with Noodles talking about the influence Osbourne had on his own musical journey in between riffs of Black Sabbath‘s “Sweet Leaf” and “Paranoid.” They also played a partial clip of “Crazy Train” with Dexter on vocals. Noodles also entertained the crowd with his guitar talents, playing a cover of Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King”, while Dexter took a break.

Another emotional moment came when. Dexter Holland sat at a piano for a cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You”, followed by a devastating “Gone Away”, blending the power of the 1997 original with the stripped-down 2021 version. Before playing it, Dexter asked the crowd to light up the stadium in memory of lost loved ones — and thousands of phone lights turned the amphitheater into a galaxy.

The quiet didn’t last long. One particularly electric moment came during “Bad Habit,” where the band extended the song’s signature pause, creating a charged atmosphere thick with anticipation. The crowd eagerly filled in the censored lyrics, screaming every word with unrestrained enthusiasm, turning the moment into a communal chant. That spontaneous interaction, where thousands of voices united in perfect timing, was a powerful reminder of the connection between band and fans — raw, unfiltered, and unforgettable.

The show charged into its final stretch with “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” (complete with dozens of huge beach balls bouncing through the crowd), “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)”, and “The Kids Aren’t Alright.” The crowd sang so loudly at times that the band dropped out entirely, allowing thousands of voices to take over. It was the kind of collective skin tingling and hair-raising moment.

They left briefly, then returned for a two-song encore: “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” and their big hit, “Self Esteem.” Both landed like victory laps, sending the audience out into the cool night buzzing with adrenaline.

The setlist pulled from almost every era — Smash (1994) to Supercharged (2024) — and while there were personal highlights for me (“Want You Bad”, “Gotta Get Away”, “Staring at the Sun”), overall nearly every song hit hard. The Offspring’s mix of sharp playing, playful banter, and self-aware absurdity made for a show that was as fun as it was musically tight.

It wasn’t just a night of punk rock — it was a night of connection, nostalgia, and joy. Whether you were a first-time listener or someone who’s been singing along since the ’90s, the band made you feel like you belonged there, under the New Jersey stars.

The band released new track earlier this year, entitled “Someone Who Can.” The song was also accompanied by a nostalgic video directed by Mason Mercer, offers a rare glimpse into Coheed’s humble beginnings in Nyack, New York. Pairing heartfelt visuals with deeply introspective lyrics, the song captures a universal truth: that growing up doesn’t always mean figuring it all out.

As frontman Claudio Sanchez puts it, “Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.”

The single is the latest release from Coheed’s new album, The Father of Make Believe, out now via Virgin Music Group. The album continues the band’s long-running Amory Wars saga and follows 2022’s Vaxis Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind. With earlier singles like “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow”, it’s clear the band is once again pushing their sonic and narrative boundaries.

And New Jersey fans are in for a treat — not only will they get to experience these new songs live, but they’ll do so at one of the state’s most iconic outdoor venues. Sharing the stage with emo-rock legends Taking Back Sunday and support from Foxing, this show promises an unforgettable night of anthemic sing-alongs and high-energy performances.

Tickets for the August 29th Holmdel show are on sale now. Don’t wait — with a lineup this stacked, this one’s bound to sell out.

From the comic book pages of The Amory Wars to the amphitheaters of North America, Coheed and Cambria continue to redefine what it means to be a rock band. Catch them this summer in New Jersey for a night that promises music, memory, and maybe even a little make-believe.

For over two decades, Coheed and Cambria have defied musical convention, crafting a distinctive blend of progressive rock, post-hardcore, metal, and pop influences—all woven together by an epic sci-fi narrative known as The Amory Wars. Formed in Nyack, New York, and fronted by the visionary Claudio Sanchez, the band has built an expansive universe through both music and comic books, captivating a global cult following. With critically acclaimed albums like Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV and Vaxis Act II, Coheed continue to expand the boundaries of concept-driven rock while maintaining an emotional core that resonates across generations. Their upcoming album The Father of Make Believe (due March 14, 2025) marks the next evolution in their storytelling legacy.

Now consisting of founding members Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Mark O’Connell, and Shaun Cooper, the band continues to evolve while staying true to the sound that made them a household name. Over 20 years in, Taking Back Sunday remains a vital force in alternative music, with a catalog that spans multiple gold records and an undying connection with fans around the world.

On June 29th, a hot summer Sunday night in New Jersey, Murder by Death delivered a bittersweet, unforgettable show that proved just how beloved they are after all these years. The crowd eagerly packed into the venue, buzzing with anticipation.

At around 8:15, the show kicked off with a creative Star Wars–style opening: words scrolled up the backdrop, screen by screen, asking the crowd if they were ready and noting this was their 1899th show to the crowd’s applause. The energy in the room surged as the band finally took the stage. Before setting off on their first song, singer Adam Turla told the crowd to get ready for some “spooky, sad music.”

The crowd was ready for both. From the opening song, “Riders”, fans were dancing and singing along, and it didn’t let up from there. The band promised to play two songs from each of their ten albums — and they delivered. The setlist was a carefully curated journey through their catalog, from the gothic Americana of their early work to newer, more experimental tracks.

A pair of new songs off their latest record brought a sentimental vibe, especially the track “I Came Around,” which had the whole room swaying. Fans also got treated to the twangy country feel of “Natural Pearl,” and later a surreal, Spanish-flavored folk song called “No Matter Now”, which Turla explained came to him in a lucid dream — “a fucked-up weird story,” as he put it.

Some of the biggest crowd reactions came from tried-and-true fan favorites. “Until Morale Improves, the Beatings Will Continue” was a rowdy, stomping highlight early on, and “Comin’ Home” had people pulling out their phones to capture the moment. “Brother” was one of the most emotional moments of the night, its haunting melody and lyrics quieting the room. “Spring Break 1899” showcased the band’s cinematic style, building to a dramatic crescendo, while “Shiola”, which opened the encore, felt like an intimate, bittersweet farewell.

The band also threw in some deep cuts and live staples. “Lost River” and “Everything Must Rest” brought a lush, moody atmosphere, while “King of the Gutters, Prince of the Dogs”, which Turla said is his favorite to play live, hit with gritty, visceral energy. The Depeche Mode–inspired “I’m Afraid of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” and the cinematic “Pillars of Salt” kept the crowd hooked with their dramatic flair. Turla even shared a story about busking in Venice and writing one of their first songs on the canal, reminding everyone how far they’ve come.

By the end of the main set, the crowd erupted in applause and stomped their feet for an encore, the heat of the packed room no match for their excitement. Turla came back alone to thank New Jersey and give a heartfelt shout-out to Thursday, the band that took them on tour early in their career and helped put them on the map. He called it a pleasure and an honor, and the rest of the band soon joined him for two final songs.

They granted a fan request for “Pizza Party! (at Gloria Estefan’s House)”, which had the room laughing and cheering, before closing out the night with “Alas”, a raw and powerful track from their debut that left everyone buzzing with energy — a perfect capstone to a bittersweet, emotional evening.

Throughout 20 songs and a three-song encore, Murder by Death proved they can still rock hard while pulling on the heartstrings. The set pulled from every era of their career, touching on every album and reminding fans why this band has endured: they craft unforgettable stories in song, each one its little world to get lost in. On this night, the crowd didn’t seem to mind the summer heat one bit — they were too busy enjoying every minute.

About Murder by Death:

Murder by Death is an American indie rock band from Bloomington, Indiana, formed in 2000 by Adam Turla (vocals/guitar), Sarah Balliet (cello/keys), Alexander Schrodt (drums), Vincent Edwards (keys), and Matt Armstrong (bass). Initially named Little Joe Gould, they rebranded in 2001, drawing inspiration from a 1970s murder‑mystery film—an early sign of their affinity for cinematic themes. Their sound, often described as “Americana noir,” weaves gothic country, folk, post‑rock, and punk elements, anchored by Turla’s baritone voice and Balliet’s haunting cello.

Over the years, the band has released a string of ambitious concept albums, including Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them? (2003), In Bocca al Lupo (2006), Red of Tooth and Claw (2008), Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon (2012), Big Dark Love (2015), and The Other Shore (2018). Their ninth album, Spell/Bound, arrived on July 29, 2022, backed by a highly successful Kickstarter campaign—they raised over $440,000 through preorders. The record delves into darker, spacious, and cinematic territories, blending their signature noir aesthetic with warm, country‑styled and synth‑laden tracks.

Their latest release, Egg & Dart, came out on June 13, 2025, and is being hailed as perhaps their “most sad and beautiful” album yet. The Kickstarter campaign for it shattered their own records—raising over $750,000—making it one of the top music crowdfunding projects in history. Leading up to the album, they released the singles “Wandering” (April) and “Lose You” (May).

To support it, Murder by Death has embarked on what’s being billed as their farewell tour, hitting iconic venues like The Caverns (TN), Mr. Smalls (PA), and Thalia Hall (Chicago). The run of 34 US shows, continuing into the fall, features support from notable artists like Laura Jane Grace. Fans have praised the performances as “amazing,” citing a perfect mix of deep cuts and crowd favorites at their venues.

Sublime is back and bigger than ever — with new music, a fresh frontman, and a three-day Vegas takeover that celebrates the band’s past, present, and future.

<img decoding="async" width="1200" height="900" src="https://www.eatsleepbreathemusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Sublime-Vegas-2025-Show.jpg" alt="The three members of Sublime pose for a promotional photo against a dark backdrop.
Get ready, Sublime fans — the legendary band is set to bring their signature SoCal punk-ska vibe to the Vegas Strip for a weekend takeover that’s destined to be unforgettable. From August 14–16, Fear, Loathing, and Sublime in Las Vegas will light up Park MGM with a three-day celebration of music, culture, and the enduring legacy of one of the most influential bands of the ‘90s.

The weekend kicks off Thursday, August 14, with a high-energy welcome party DJ’d by KROQ’s Miles the DJ, featuring special appearances from members of Sublime. That’s just the beginning. On Friday and Saturday, August 15–16, the band takes the stage at Dolby Live for two massive headlining shows — and they’re not coming alone.

Joining Sublime for this immersive experience are punk and alternative icons Pennywise, The Vandals, The Ataris, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and rising SVNBVRNT Records artists Jesse James Pariah & Zayno. It’s a stacked lineup that promises nonstop energy and all the punk rock nostalgia (and new heat) you can handle.

But this isn’t just about the concerts — it’s a full-blown Sublime experience. Fans can grab VIP packages for exclusive access to soundcheck parties, intimate acoustic sessions, and even meet-and-greets with the band. There will also be a curated Sublime memorabilia exhibit, plus guided tours of the Punk Rock Museum led by musicians from the weekend’s lineup.

Capping off the weekend on Sunday morning is a live taping of the BvrntCast Podcast, where band members will share behind-the-scenes stories, fan memories, and insight into Sublime’s evolution — all in a chill, laid-back vibe true to the band’s roots.

Presented by KROQ and powered by Monster Energy, SRH, Primitive Skateboards, Black Flys Eyewear, Long Beach Beer Lab, and Good Vibe Tribe, this Vegas takeover is tailor-made for die-hard Sublime fans and newcomers alike.

“This Vegas takeover is going to be nuts!!! I mean Sublime and Pennywise, punk shows at the Punk Rock Museum, parties every night — it’s going to be everything Sublime for this weekend, you won’t wanna miss out on this one!” said drummer Bud Gaugh.

The event also marks a major milestone in Sublime’s new chapter. Following Jakob Nowell’s game-changing debut as frontman at Coachella 2024, he and bandmates Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson have been riding a wave of momentum — from high-profile TV appearances to their first top 10 alternative radio hit since 1997 with “Feel Like That,” which uniquely features both Bradley and Jakob Nowell on vocals.

With a new album on the horizon and a packed tour calendar for 2025, Fear, Loathing, and Sublime in Las Vegas isn’t just a weekend in Sin City — it’s a celebration of the past, present, and future of Sublime.

Sublime is also on tour throughout 2025 — check out the full list of tour dates below and catch them live in a city near you.

About Sublime

Sublime, the Long Beach, CA reggae-punk/alternative rock trio, was founded in 1988 by Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh, and Bradley Nowell. They released their first self-produced album, 40oz. to Freedom, in 1992 via Skunk Records. Heavy radio exposure on Southern California’s KROQ (two years after its initial release) landed the band a deal with Gasoline Alley Records, an imprint of MCA.

1994’s Robbin’ the Hood revealed an experimental ethic more in keeping with the cut-and-paste dub than the well-tuned rage of the Cali punk revival. The album performed well at college radio and set the stage for the breakout success of their self-titled third album. On May 25, 1996, however, Bradley Nowell tragically passed away and the band collapsed, but Universal went ahead with the release of their eponymous album in July of 1996.

On the strength of the chart-topping alternative radio hit “What I Got,” the RIAA certified the album gold by the end of 1996. The undeniable radio hits “Santeria” and “Wrong Way” followed, resulting in the album selling more than 9 million copies without any live shows. This success spread to the band’s earlier albums, leading 40oz. to Freedom to double-platinum status and Robbin’ the Hood to gold. Sublime has gone on to sell over 18 million RIAA certified albums in the US. Their genre-defining contributions to music and cultural influence is stronger today than ever before.

In late December of 2023, Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob Nowell joined original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson on stage for the first time to perform at a benefit concert for Bad Brains’ H.R. With an undeniable musical synergy between the three, and overwhelming reaction and support from fans across the world, they decided to move forward and continue the Sublime legacy, starting the new chapter fans had hoped would one day come. Just five months later, Sublime officially debuted their new lineup on the main stage at Coachella, garnering rave reviews from press and fans across the world, solidifying the next chapter age of Sublime with Jakob Nowell at the helm.

In May of 2024 the band released their first new song in nearly 28 years, “Feel Like That,” which peaking at #5 and earning Sublime their first top 10 hit on the alternative airplay chart since 1997. Sublime also made their late-night television debut on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and appeared on the Howard Stern Show. Sublime are currently managed by Regime Music Group co-founder Kevin Zinger and music industry vet/Vandals bassist Joe Escalante.

A warm breeze swept over the PNC Bank Arts Center as the summer concert season continued in Holmdel, NJ on Wednesday, June 11th. After a day of rain, the skies cleared, leaving behind a golden evening that was a little hot—but manageable. Under stage lights, though, the heat became a presence of its own, something the performers acknowledged with good humor throughout the night. The arena was packed, a multi-generational crowd buzzing with excitement to see a dream lineup: Modern English, Soft Cell, and the legendary Simple Minds.

Modern English opened the show right on time at 7 PM, delivering a tight, 30-minute set filled with post-punk energy. They leaned into their roots with tracks like “Gathering Dust” and “Swans on Glass,” but it was their new material—like “Long in the Tooth” from their 2023 release 1 2 3 4—that showed the band still has creative fuel. Of course, it all led up to their iconic ’80s hit “I Melt With You,” which turned into a crowd-wide singalong. They gave the classic a faster medley treatment at the end, bringing to mind montages from films like Valley Girl. The audience rose in a standing ovation, already on their feet by the third song, dancing and filming the moment.

Next came Soft Cell, who took the stage with minimal set design but maximum charisma. Frontman Marc Almond was in fine form, dancing and engaging the crowd with his signature flair. Though their Pet Shop Boys collaboration “Purple Zone” made an appearance, Almond joked, “They’re not here tonight!” A standout moment came with their electric cover of The Four Seasons’ “The Night,” introduced with a story about how they’d considered covering soulful classics when they first started. Their finale was a high-octane medley of their biggest hit, “Tainted Love / Where Did Our Love Go,” featuring powerhouse backup vocals and a euphoric response from the crowd.

Then came the main event. At 9:15 PM, Simple Minds took the stage as the sky darkened and the lights blazed. They opened with the massive “Waterfront,” immediately setting the tone for a high-energy, emotionally charged performance. Jim Kerr was magnetic—dancing, joking with the crowd, even dropping into a backbend mid-song. He regularly checked in with the audience (“Are you okay?”), feeding off their energy as they sang along, waved arms, and lost themselves in the music.

Their setlist was a carefully curated journey through their career. From the shimmering optimism of “New Gold Dream (81–82–83–84)” to the funky exuberance of “Promised You a Miracle,” the band celebrated their synth-pop and stadium rock years with gusto. Fan favorites like “Someone Somewhere in Summertime” and “All the Things She Said” stood tall next to deeper cuts such as “This Fear of Gods,” a moody gem from their early experimental days, and “Oh Jungleland,” which showcased their knack for drama and atmosphere.

Instrumental interlude “Theme For Great Cities” gave the band a breather while showing off their rhythmic precision, and drummer Cherisse Osei’s powerful solo brought the audience roaring. Vocalist Sarah Brown stepped into the spotlight with a beautiful lead on “Book of Brilliant Things” and shared duets with Kerr on several tracks, adding rich harmony and soul to the performance.

As the show built toward its climax, Simple Minds delivered their most iconic anthem: “Don’t You (Forget About Me).” The 1985 Breakfast Club classic stretched into a 10-minute singalong, with Kerr leading the crowd in a cathartic, emotional release. It was a moment that felt both personal and universal—echoing decades of memories for fans who grew up with the band.

But the night wasn’t over yet. A four-song encore brought even more fire, starting with “Book of Brilliant Things,” followed by the soaring “Alive and Kicking” and the funky, infectious “Sanctify Yourself.” Finally, in a surprise twist, the band came together a cappella for a cover of Sly & the Family Stone’s “Dance to the Music.” It was a communal, joyous finale—voices raised in harmony, smiles all around—a fitting end to a night defined by connection, nostalgia, and enduring musical magic.

A Night of Emo Nostalgia (and More)

For fans who grew up on songs like Everything Is Alright, Hold Me Down, and This Is for Real, this is a rare chance to see Motion City Soundtrack in an intimate venue with historic energy. The band’s fusion of emotionally honest lyrics, power-pop hooks, and vintage synths has made them a defining voice in early-2000s alternative rock—and they’re sounding better than ever.

Since reuniting in 2019, Motion City Soundtrack has embraced both nostalgia and evolution. Expect a high-energy setlist that blends the band’s biggest hits with deeper cuts and fresh material. Whether you first saw them at Warped Tour or discovered them through your favorite streaming playlist, this night promises a mix of catharsis and sing-alongs.

The Venue: Stone Pony’s Legacy

Few venues carry the kind of rock ‘n’ roll cred that The Stone Pony does. Located right on the Asbury Park boardwalk, this legendary space has hosted everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Patti Smith. It’s a place where music history lives and breathes—and where the intimate stage brings you closer to the music.

Capacity is limited (around 600 people), making this show a chance to experience Motion City Soundtrack in a raw, up-close setting rarely possible on big tours.

Why Asbury Park?

Asbury Park is more than a beach town—it’s a cultural hub with deep musical roots. Coming here for a show means more than catching a set; it means soaking up the boardwalk energy, grabbing pizza or craft beer nearby, and maybe even taking a stroll along the ocean before or after the show.

And as part of the North to Shore Festival, Asbury will be alive with events, pop-ups, and performances across multiple venues and genres. Come early, explore the town, and make a day (or weekend) of it.

About the North to Shore Festival

Launched by the State of New Jersey, North to Shore is a month-long festival spanning Atlantic City, Asbury Park, and Newark, celebrating the best in local and national talent. It combines music, film, tech talks, and comedy into a uniquely Jersey blend of creativity. Motion City Soundtrack’s show is just one of dozens of performances bringing life to the Garden State this June.

Learn more about the festival lineup at northtoshore.com.

If you’ve ever screamed the lyrics to The Future Freaks Me Out in your bedroom or felt seen by LG FUAD, don’t miss this show. It’s more than a concert—it’s a chance to reconnect with your younger self, sing with strangers who just get it, and celebrate a band that helped define a generation.

See you in Asbury Park.

About Motion City Soundtrack

Formed in Minneapolis in 1997, Motion City Soundtrack quickly carved out a distinct space in the pop-punk and emo scenes of the early 2000s. Known for their emotionally raw lyrics, catchy melodies, and the unmistakable hum of the Moog synthesizer, the band released six studio albums, including the fan-favorite Commit This to Memory and Even If It Kills Me.

Led by frontman Justin Pierre, MCS gained a devoted following through their relentless touring and heartfelt live shows. Though they went on hiatus in 2016, the band reunited in 2019, much to the delight of fans old and new. Their music blends vulnerability with energy—equal parts diary entry and danceable anthem.

If you’re a longtime fan or just discovering them now, their live shows are a reminder of why they became emo icons in the first place.

After years of speculation and a growing wave of pop-punk nostalgia, the Vans Warped Tour is officially back for its 30th Anniversary, and Washington, D.C., is one of just three cities chosen to host the mega-celebration.

The iconic alternative music festival will take over the nation’s capital on June 14–15, 2025, bringing a stacked lineup of punk, emo, metalcore, ska, pop, and everything in between.

This is more than a concert—it’s a cultural moment.

Event Details:

What: Vans Warped Tour 30th Anniversary

When: Saturday & Sunday, June 14–15, 2025

Why This Show Matters

Warped Tour hasn’t hit DC since its “farewell” run in 2018, and this two-day blowout is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious and inclusive editions yet.
For longtime locals who grew up hitting Merriweather or Nissan Pavilion in the 2000s, this is a homecoming. For younger fans? It’s a rare chance to experience Warped in its full, messy, beautiful glory.

Looking Back, Looking Ahead

Like so many others, I grew up with the Warped Tour as a summer tradition—a day to sweat in the sun, discover new bands, and scream every lyric like it was therapy. I still remember my first show, clutching a crumpled paper schedule and racing between stages. In 2019, I had the chance to attend the 25th Anniversary show back in 2019, and it felt like a reunion of sorts—loud, chaotic, and filled with the kind of energy you can’t replicate anywhere else. Now, with the 30th Anniversary rolling through D.C., it’s more than nostalgia. It’s a chance to pass the torch, see some old favorites, and maybe even find the next band that changes everything.

About the Warped Tour

The Vans Warped Tour is one of the most iconic alternative music festivals in history. Founded in 1995 by Kevin Lyman, it became a launchpad for countless punk, emo, metal, and indie acts—serving as a rite of passage for fans and bands alike. Known for its traveling summer caravan of music, skate culture, and DIY ethos, Warped has hosted legends like Blink-182, Paramore, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance. After its final full tour in 2018, Warped took a step back—until now. In 2025, it returns for a special 30th Anniversary celebration, bringing the spirit of community, chaos, and catharsis to a new generation of fans.
