Apparently I am a CoCo…” someone who likes extreme comfort,with relaxation at the front of my mind, no sofa or bed is free from a throw or cushion and no bath free from a scented candle” According to research commissioned by home furnishing brand Colour Match from Argos 75 % of the UK population worry more about impressing others than anything else when it comes to furnishing their home. Thus creating a home that they believe other people will love rather than a home that reflects their own tastes and personality.

The key findings from the survey found that;

·75 per cent of people are primarily concerned with what others think of their home

·56 per cent only opt for homewares that are ‘unadventurous’

·47 per cent furnish their home with the re-sell value in mind

·26 per cent people are distinctly unhappy with at least two rooms in their home

·43 per cent worry that adding too much of their favorite colour could be too ‘dominating’ in the home

So, I took their colour personality test to see which colours actually reflect the true me and I am happy to say it’s pretty much what I do choose anyway. Argos sent me some goodies (pictured above) from their Colour Match range…and even our dog blends in with them! As a Nester the colours suggested for me from the Colour Match range are Cream, Cafe Mocha and Chocolate.

DIY Glitter Polish

DIY-Glitter Polish

I am a huge sucker for glitter nail polishes. Sometimes, though, it can be frustrating when I have a specific color in mind and either can’t find it or it’s too expensive for me to even consider.

I was in a craft store the other day and stumbled across a gorgeous display of glitter. Seeing that they were pretty cheap, I bought a few tubes and spent the next hour experimenting. I’m so happy to report that the experiment was successful! I love how I can now customize my own glitter nail polish color for a low price and in just a few minutes.

So, I decided to share my method with you! Read on to learn how you can make your own glitter nail polish:

What you’ll need:

1 old or new bottle of clear nail polish (you can also use a suspension base, which prevents the glitter from sinking to the bottom)
1-2 tubes/jars of glitter
1 scrap piece of paper or Post-it note
1 toothpick

How to:

Step One

Create a funnel with the scrap piece of paper/Post-it note. Staple or tape it to help the paper maintain its form

Step Two

Using the paper funnel, pour a tiny amount of glitter into the bottle of nail polish.

Step Three

Using the toothpick, mix in the glitter.

Note: if you pour too much at once it might clog up and make it hard to stir.

Step Four

Add the cap back on to the polish, then shake the bottle vigorously until well-mixed. Then apply and admire your new customized glitter nail polish!

Tarnished Copper Nails

I happen to be an avid blogger. During my hunt for something new this time here’s a new nail art I tried.It called the

"Tarnished Copper Nails".

Have you seen the old copper statues and monuments, which went green, because of the weather conditions? Have you ever thought of a nail design in such style? If it seems impossible to you, I can assure you there is a way. All you need is proper nail polish colors a piece of sponge and a small dessert spoon. So, let`s start.

Find a copper-colored nail polish and a variety of minty green and blue shades.

Paint the back of the spoon with the “copper”. Use the sponge to apply the other shades over the spoon (as shown on the picture). Use a slightly wet sponge to do so.

Take a different wet sponge to apply the mixture on the nails with gentle taps. Add as many layers as necessary. When you are done, use a top coat with a matte effect for best results.

Don`t forget to take a picture with a statue, while wearing this nail design and show us – it will be quite fun! :)

In today’s world with the increasing social fashion quotient stepping into a mall or a new fashion store is the new IT thing!!!! The never exhausting variety types of clothes, accessories and cosmetics coming into the market at times get me so baffled that I start losing touch with my basics. Me and my bestie had been to a recently opened store in my street. All that’s needed is for one girl to step there and the whole avenue knows about the store in few days. So hearing about it through all this grapevine we decided to pay a visit.

Turned out to be a really cute boutique of bags, accessories and not some giant store .Significant amount of turnout for something this new. The bags seemed really cute.I really liked one too but really slipped my mind as to what kind of bag it was.Asked a store girl there. So the second I got home there I was looking for the types of bags and here is a refresh for u too..njoy

I’ve been obsessive about nail enamel since a very early age. My liking towards nail art and a variety of different types of polish is not hidden from my people.So as I was over my blogosphere last weekend I heard a lot of buzz about the new REVLON NAIL ART series.Caught my attention the very second.I’m not really a fan of any particular nail product of theirs nor do I recommend any of them.Quiet frankly a lot of their products being not so great hit the pocket of a budget shopper like me.I’d go with something effective yet not over the top.On contrary to the usual products the REVLON NAIL ART MOON CANDY is rather cheap.It comes in several shades and in 2 formats.First being the MOON CANDY..aka the glitter vernis and the second being NEON .Both come in several shades.Here’s a look at the entire range of MOON CANDY shades available.

Being affordable I couldn’t stop myself from buying it.I bought 2 one called Eclipse and one called Galactic.I used to be have an inclination to glitter nail polishes in my school days but soon lost interest. These just remind me of the good old days. Anyways coming back to the review the packaging is good.The paint is a good quantity of 7.68 ml.

The first one is the Eclipse.A good shade of magenta and glitter in pinkish blue.The second here the Galactic a shade of dark Prussian blue and sky blue glitter.I happen to have used the second one a little so the glitter looks less in quantity.However here’s a close look at the Eclipse.

The shade of application looks pretty appealing to the others but at times makes me wonder if it really is looking that great.I did receive several compliments for them though. The applicator is pretty small so requires a time and patience on application.The nail paint is a little runny and can take time drying before you apply the glitter. Patience is the key in this one.Applying the glitter without the base coat drying can make it smudgy and look ugly.But on application worth the efforts.But one single base coat is sufficient.I personally felt after application of Galactic that probably keeping it on alternate fingers or one finger just with base coat only enhances it more. Nyways do give it a try and let me know..XOXO..

ELIE SAAB HAUTE COUTURE AUTUMN WINTER 2013-2014 FASHION SHOW

The Hollywood darling Elie Saab showed a more demure collection this season. Entitled ”Ode to delicateness”, it was feather light, playing with degrees of transparency. Sparkling embroideries encrusted see-through laces and silks, to create ethereal gowns with illusion necklines that beautifully showed of this season’s focal point – the shoulders. Known for making weightless gowns the collection floated on the model bodies and seemed effortless to carry. The collection included the designer’s signature style of tulle dresses, delicate embroidery scattered across the dresses. Fishtail and hourglass silhouettes were common throughout the line, as were illusion necklines and sheer sleeves. It takes an average of 800 hours for the designer to complete a single piece. These efforts make every piece a favorite in the elite and royalty. Each piece iconic and timeless in itself.

This season he introduced a new shorter Fifties shape, often with a fresh ¾ sheer sleeve. Waists were marked with an ultra slim belt that added an edge to the dresses and gowns. These dresses showed off the ability of the wearer to show off that perfectly sculpted body. Like all designers Elie Saab stuck to the ornate delicate designs showing of narrow waists and extenuated shoulders. These included everything from floor-length evening gowns to provocative, vibrant cocktail dresses. The piece de resistance of the Lebanese designer's incredible collection was the final wedding gown, which had Ottoman-like detailing and an opulent structured cut portrayed timeless beauty.

Weekend Wake Up Call !!!!!!!!!

It 's usually been the case for the past several years that my schedule has been really hectic. It so happens that I end up working almost 11-12 hrs a leaving me barely sometime to breadth or relax myself. These times lead our lives to crazy schedules leaving no time for any of us to possibly ogle at the beauty of life.

The weekend however is my breather..a time I enjoy the most or at least make a genuine effort to come up with a plan to do so. It's been for ever that all I do at weekend is go shop..something I absolutely adore...probably go party somewhere..and do some blogging as usual. This weekend I came across an article Sunday morning while blogging...

six-weekend-health-mistakes and I must say that I was shocked seeing it. Everything I probably did was in its bullet point....OMG ..

Nyways it caught my attention to go through the whole piece.

Sleeping in too late
Staying up until late at night and then sleeping in the next day could leave you feeling more tired and make it harder to get back onto a normal sleep schedule for the entire week. It's called 'social jet lag'. Get more out of your weekend days and avoid sleeping troubles on Sunday night. Organize your schedule so you wake up within an hour of the time you would during the week.

I usually end up doing this Friday and Saturday night.It so happens that usually I never end up getting free early nytime on Friday..Frankly the chance of a party at the start of the weekend is out of the picture. So Saturday happens to be the day when I love being out over the night. I must admit this does spoil my night schedule over Sunday giving me sleepy Monday mornings at the office.. : (

Staying Plugged In
Take the time to unplug and recharge to help keep stress levels in check and maximize your weekend relaxation. Go tech-free for one day, afternoon, or even just an hour on the weekend while enjoying an outdoor activity or time with loved ones.

That's one thing I do each weekend..Literally sleep with my laptop and phone..either doing some office research or probable blogging or even going on skype with my friends and folks back home...Unplugged weekends seems like a distant thought for me at least as of now..I guess... :/

Overeating
Don't overdo it when you eat out, enjoy a few drinks or indulge in dessert on the weekend. Your diet will suffer as a result. It's best to try and maintain a balance not going too far away from your weekday eating habits.

Weekend usually ends up giving me a feeling like I'm a kid left in a ice-cream shop with a million things to try...This is especially the case when I'm off to my boyfriends place...He's never stopped me from eating rather overeating post which I get super sick....:( and spend the entire coming week cribbing about it and trying..and I mean only TRYING to DIET.

Catching Up On Work
Stay away from work on the weekend unless there is a crisis situation. Prioritizing time to for two days relax can actually make you more productive during the week.

Sadly this is one thing I cannot avoid..:(

Running Errands & Doing Chores
Don't power through your to-do list on Saturday and Sunday. Try spending 30 minutes each evening doing laundry, grocery shopping or cleaning during the week. This will free up your weekend for more enjoyable, calming activities.

Practically my Saturday mornings are meant to do just that. Travelling around 4 hrs a day to reach workplace..11/12 hrs of working leaves me no time to do any of these through the week..:(

Stressing On Sunday
Don't waste Sunday anticipating the stresses of the coming week. When you start feeling the Sunday blues coming on, get active and spend time with people you love.

This is one habit I just can’t get rid off..:(

All through writing this article I realise the sad smileys I made through every point..There is not one amongst these should I say I do right...Feels like I need to get my habits straight and start fresh........

Seems like a huge WAKE UP CALL for us all....Turning to healthy habits is turning to a better quality of LIFE....what say ppl....

Neon Weekend

It’s been a awfully long time since I’ve tried something new on my nails. Never really had the time to either. But this weekend I had made my mind up that I’m definitely gonna try something new. Opened all my nail art and paint stuff and started my search as to what do I start with. Thought over it a lot and finally while I was blogging last night I came across this video. Looked really nice so made up my mind for it....

These days neon’s are a huge hit. They are quite appealing and look very up beat and catchy on the nails. So I started with a shade of bright yellow, pink and white to tone it down a bit gotto hit the office after all on Monday .

Hi all!!! Seems like a really long time since I last wrote a blog post.These crazy hectic schedules just don’t leave time for anything to be done..I look forward to getting back to writing asap..

Anyways all things aside..Here’s my review to our new

June 2013 GlossyBox: Summer edition

They don’t have any means to deliver it here in Denmark but I get mine each month via my BFF from London delivered to her address. All you lovely girls in Denmark can get a similar edition called GOODIEBOX

Here’s what I got in my box..Everything is completely worth the wait and perfect for that lovely summer day fun..

MONU SPA HAND AND NAIL CREAM.
I'll start with my least favourite product in my box, which is the Monu Spa Hand and Nail Cream. Hand creams aren't something I generally get excited about, I really like Soap & Glory Hand Food and L'Occitane hand creams which I don't really tend to deviate from, but this is in no way a bad product or a disappointing sample. I've given this a little try and I think it's quite nice. It didn't feel too thick, it seemed to sink in fairly quickly and my hands were left feeling super soft. I've passed this on to my mama because she loves hand creams and so far she's been absolutely loving it - thumbs up! This is a full sized 50ml product and retails for £10.95.

ORGANIC SURGE SHINE BOOST CONDITIONER.

Organic Surge is a brand I'm really familiar with so I was really happy to see a product from them nestled inside this box. This is the Shine Boost Conditioner which promises to detangle and add gloss to the hair with organic grapefruit and citrus essential oils. I'm super excited to try this, shine is something I always struggle to achieve without weighing my hair down and making it look greasy so I'm looking forward to seeing if this works for me. I have tried some of their other products which were lovely so looking forward to this one.A full sized 200ml product that retails for £5.99.

MEMEME COSMETICS LONG LASTING NAIL GLOSS.

Minty nail polish colours are my absolute favourites and although I probably already own one to many, I'm always happy to add to my collection. This is the MeMeMe Cosmetics Long Lasting Gloss Nail Polish in the shade Pensive. I've tried a few MeMeMe polishes before, I've always been impressed by the lasting power and they usually apply really well with one or two coats. I'll definitely be wearing this shade a lot this summer time! This is a full sized product and retails for £5.

FIGS & ROUGE CHERRY BLOSSOM TINTED LIP BALM.

Figs & Rouge is a brand that GlossyBox introduced me to a little while ago. I've been through two of their lip balms that come in the little tins and I absolutely love them so I was excited to see the Cherry blossom Tinted Lip Balm. A relaxed make up look in the warmer months is something I'm all about and tinted balms epitomise easy-going for me. So far I’m absolutely loving this, it's really moisturising and it gives a really pretty sheer rosy tint to the lips, which I think is lovely! The packaging is also super adorable. This is a full sized product and retails for £4.95

GOSH GROWTH MASCARA.
Finally, the last product in my box this month is the GOSH Growth Mascara. I'm very intrigued by this, I would very much like longer lashes because mine are a little on the short side and this promises results after just 2 weeks of use. I think I'll take some pictures of my lashes now and then again after using this for 2 weeks to see if there's any difference. The mascara itself is quite nice, I really like the small plastic brush because you can really get in and coat even the smallest lashes and it seems to add a nice amount of volume. The formula doesn't really lengthen all that much and it seems to clump if you add a little too much product, but I've only used it once so far. This is another full sized product and retails for £8.49

From zombie apocalypse to brain apocalypse .....

After years of fighting aliens, Hollywood’s latest obsession is taking on zombies. Movie-goers have taken well to films based on these ‘creatures’ and so we have World War Z giving us another massive dose of the undead.
Alfred Hitchcock gave us mind-blowing finales at Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty. Brad Pitt gives us his own climax in a chemical laboratory just outside Cardiff. On a slightly overcast day. He's the producer-star of this bloated and boring zombie action thriller that's been in production for so long.
The first problem you encounter with World War Z, is how to pronounce the damn thing. Should the last letter be said "zee", to sound like"three", or "zed", to sound like "dead", or"zzz", to sound like the audience?
Whichever phoneme you plump for, the Z stands for zombie, and the film contains, on a rough estimate, hundreds of thousands of them. It is based on a novel by Max Brooks, son of the filmmaker and humorist Mel, and it follows Gerry Lane (Pitt), a flaxen-haired former United Nations action man who is recalled to the line of duty when a mysterious pandemic turns citizens of various countries into walking, chomping corpses.
The initial panic on the streets of Philadelphia is thrilling, as is the fall of Jerusalem to the undead horde and an air borne sequence that might easily have been called Zombies on a Plane.But the film is horrifyingly feeble when it comes to characterization. All we know about Pitt’s Gerry is that he loves his family, but no one has given this hero any exceptional qualities. The same goes for the other characters: as uninteresting a lot as I’ve seen in a disaster movie.

Disappointingly, the final product is much more conventional than the book. Brook’s purpose was to satirise the bungling of government, the excesses of survivals at all costs and the dangers of corporate power. He took a particularly cynical stance on George W Bush’s ‘shock and awe’ tactics in Iraq; like Muslim extremists. But these zombies are too obsessed with slaughter to be shocked or awed.

In the book, the zombie virus spreads from China via refugees and an illicit trade in human organs. Pakistan and Iran destroy each other in a nuclear dispute over border controls, while Cuba becomes the world’s most thriving economy. The people at Paramount evidently think all this political stuff is too difficult for a cinema audience. Maybe they’re also nervous about how it might go down in China,Pakistan and Iran.
So they’ve played safe, cut it all out and turned the story into a one-man triumph for an American UN operative blessed with movie-star looks. World War Z isn’t terrible. Parts are impressive and exciting. But the incredibly long distance it falls short of its source material means it is a wasted opportunity.

Will it bump Man Of Steel from the top of the box office? Not a chance. But it’s a good enough,somewhat clever in parts zombie flick (that actually uses the word zombie) that for some reason has Matthew Fox in it in a role that will make you go, was that Matthew Fox and is so why is Matthew Fox in this? He does almost nothing by the way. He’s barely in it! Less than Party Of Five minutes. You could even say that he’s LOST among the rest of the supporting cast. Not to mention the way he…Speed Racer…no…that doesn’t work. Honestly I’m just trying to pad this out cause I’ve run out of stuff to say and this feels a little short.

So World War Z. Its okay and you should probably see it or not see it. And I firmly stand by that conviction! Missing this would never make you regretful by an ounce in your weekend plan.
