Plenty Of Fish makes New Rules to Stop POF Intimate Encounters

Online dating site Plenty Of Fish (POF) recently made changes regarding who you can message and what can be in your messages… some are good, most are bad…

According to the site’s owner, Markus Friend, the goal is to bring the focus back on “finding relationships” and suppress horny guys who are “using POF as more of a hookup site”…

You can read the full email sent to users below, but here’s the key points…

1.) You cannot send messages containing “sexual references”

I understand girls get bombarded with annoying messages like “wanna fuck bitch”… in fact, I’ve gotten them from undesirable girls (minus the “bitch” part). But, if you watch 5 minutes of any TV sitcom there’s going to be a “sexual reference”. I don’t think censoring messages with “sexual” words is the solution. I mean, this IS a dating site for adults… it’s not a Disney Kids chatroom for Smurfs.

I think a better solution is to ban guys who get blocked by multiple girls… especially from girls who have only blocked a small number of guys.

2.) You can only contact people +/- 14 years of your age

This is utter BULLSHIT. If a girl is 22 and says she wants to date guys 24-40, why should POF cockblock her and say “NO, NO, ANY MAN OVER 36 JUST WANTS TO FUCK YOU, DUMMY!”

I think the USER should have control over who contacts them… not POF. This is the rule that bothers me the most. I would think in 2013 ridiculous ageism like this would be gone.

3. “Intimate Encounters” option is gone

The one rule that actually makes sense. If you don’t want guys contacting girls for sex, don’t fucking encourage it. This isn’t rocket science Minkus… I mean Markus.

Some other comments I have…

Markus blames smartphones for the rise of guys using the site to hook-up. I call bullshit. Guys were horny and sent dim-witted messages well before there was a Plenty of Fish app.

I personally think he’s trying to “class up” his site due to competition from far more polished OkCupid. Good luck turning your sloppy ugly whore into a beautiful housewife, Markus.

Finally, you MUST read part 3 below… he pretty much shits all over AdultFriendFinder and similar sites…

My name is Markus and I created POF/Plentyoffish. When I created POF, I wanted it to be all about finding relationships with the right person. For the first 7 years this worked really well, I got the site to 10 million users without any employees people and POF was generating a ton of relationships. Around 3 years ago, everyone started using the website via mobile phones. 3. Intimate Encounters will go away in the next few months. There are 3.3 Million people who use the site every day, of those there are only 6,041 single women looking for Intimate Encounters. Of those 6,041 women, the ones with hot pictures are mostly men pretending to be women. Intimate Encounters on POF can be summed up as a bunch of horny men talking to a bunch of horny men pretending to be women.

In short the vast majority of people will not be impacted. This is because the vast majority of people are not going around spamming women saying “let’s have sex tonight”. I can’t change POF alone, I need your help to get the word out there that POF is all about relationships!

3 Places To Meet Women During The Summer

I get a bit depressed when finals are over and the college year comes to an end. I have this picture in my mind that all the hot college girls are leaving my city for the summer. That’s not really the case.

The girls are still there, they just go to different places. Instead of finding them around campus, at college sporting events and the local bars… you’ll find them elsewhere.

Here’s 3 great places to meet and pickup women during the summer:

1.) Beach

Hot girls congregate where there’s water during the summer. Go to a beach, hotel swimming pool or go tubing. It’s a highly sexual environment, everyone’s half naked already. Ask around and you’ll find the popular place for young people to party at in your area.

2.) Festivals

Warm weather + live music + alcohol = a great place to pickup girls. There’s typically at least one big festival or fair every weekend in most areas. I recommend camping nearby if possible. It makes logistics much more easier for hooking up.

How To Look Confident When You Walk

If you want to look attractive to women, you need to have good posture when walking…

I’m tall and used to walk slouched and facing down. It made me look evasive and shy.

I taught myself how to walk with a strong, confident gait. With these 5 tips, you can look confident when you walk too.

1.) Practice in front of a mirror, reflective window or video camera

It’s important to see yourself in action. I often walk in front of business windows where I can clearly see my reflection. You can also use the large mirrors at a gym, dressing room or dance studio. Otherwise, film yourself with your cellphone and watch the footage later.

2.) Keep your head up, back straight and your shoulders back

Slouching or leaning over when walking looks bad. Keep your back straight and look directly forward. Keeping your shoulders back will make your chest stick out and your gut seem smaller. It will also help you appear to be taller.

3.) Use a shorter gait

Most guys walk by bringing one foot forward and keeping the back foot stationary. Once the front foot is planted, they drag the back foot forward perpendicular to the ground with the toe initially pointing down. This gait is efficient when running, but looks bad when walking. More importantly, there’s a good possibility of tripping if the walking surface isn’t even (your toe can hit something when bringing it forward).

Walking with a half gait allows you to keep a straight back and not have the need to look down. The knee on your lead foot does not bend when going up, only when coming down. The knee on the trailing foot doesn’t bend at all. Think of it as walking on the balls of your feet instead of walking on your toes.

Picture a running back high stepping into the end zone or a toy soldier marching. You’re going to have to take more shorter steps, but it will look much more attractive.

4.) Swing your shoulders not your arms

Swing the opposing shoulder towards your lead foot. For example, swing your right shoulder in when you bring your left foot forward. This looks much more powerful and confident compared to a man leaving his shoulders stationary and flailing his arms back and forth like a little girl.

5.) Put some swagger in it

Keep your gait wide. Appear like you own the place. Move in a smooth fashion, not twitchy or jerky. Swing your hips a bit. Let the girls know you’re the boss.

Sometimes putting your hands in your pocket when walking will help you achieve this better.

How to Handle Being Judged By Others When Overweight, Ugly, Old, Bald, Skinny, Etc.

I hear so many guys blame their lack of success with women on their height, weight, looks, baldness and age. Rather than try to improve their social skills and dress better, they instead complain and be negative.

I particularly see this with guys with social anxiety or other personality disorders. They become hypersensitive about how others perceive them. They often times think they are being judged when in reality they are not. Even when others look at them negatively, the best thing they can do is ignore it and not let it bother them.

Based on this, I’m really annoyed by a bit of news I heard today. Apparently there is a college instructor named Haley Morris-Cafiero who is also a photographer.

She goes into crowded public locations, sets up a camera on a tripod facing her and has it continuously take pictures of her. The goal is to capture the critical expressions of innocent bystanders who walk by her.

Photographer Haley Morris-Cafiero is turning the camera on her critics, in an attempt to capture how society views overweight people, like herself. Morris-Cafiero suffers from hypothyroidism — a condition that can lead to weight gain — and says diet and exercise have always been a struggle.

“Reversing the gaze, that’s what I’m doing,” Morris-Cafiero told CBS News’ John Blackstone of her “Wait Watchers” project, a photo series that captures the expressions of passersby as Morris-Cafiero stands or performs mundane tasks in public spaces.

I know tons of overweight people, including immediate family members. I do not ridicule them or look down on them. I understand their weight issues.

But here’s my problem with this “project”…

1.) She’s made a spectacle of herself and then complained about the attention

Haley claims that people are staring at her while she “stands or performs mundane tasks in public spaces”. That’s bullshit. The pictures were not taken with a spycam. There’s nothing “mundane” about a camera on a tripod filming her while she does these tasks. Doesn’t it make sense that people would wonder what the fuck is going on when there’s a giant tripod and camera in the middle of the sidewalk aimed their way? Wouldn’t it be logical for them to be curious about what is being filmed?

In the pickup artist community, this would be like Mystery peacocking with an obnoxious fuzzy hat and complaining that girls are staring at him.

I also don’t consider a middle-aged woman on a child’s swing by herself “mundane”. I consider it “creepy”. If I had kids, I would be concerned for their safety… especially with the present camera.

2.) She dressed bad

Get some flattering clothes. Wear some make-up. Do your hair. Looking good has nothing to do with weight. It’s okay that you have hypothyroidism, but take some pride in the outward appearance that you can control. I’m “skinny” and I would expect to be judged by others if I went in public with baggy clothes that don’t fit me and an outdated hairdo.

3.) You can’t really tell what is meant by the person’s look or facial expression

Is it fair to say that a person is a “fat shamer” if they look at you when they walk by and don’t smile? How do you know what they are thinking? Most of the people in the photos have a look of indifference. Even if they are laughing or frowning, how do you know it is addressed to her being “fat”? Maybe they are laughing at a joke that was just said. Maybe they are frowning because they are having a bad day. I mean, who CARES what their vague facial expression really means? Stop trying to psychoanalyze something so trivial!

You can’t read people’s minds, so don’t let it bother you. You have to stop taking outwardly neutral actions and perceiving them as negative. And if they are plain-as-day negative, stop letting the opinions and views of others influence you.

This pertains to YOU too…

If you are reading this, change what you can to the better. Disregard what you can’t. Stop worrying about what others are thinking of you. View life from a positive rather than a negative perspective.

You will instantly become more attractive and people will be drawn to you in a good way.

How To Avoid Getting Beat Up When Picking Up Girls

Guys who have approach anxiety seem to have an irrational fear of getting beat up. They think just by talking to a girl in a night club, it will trigger some huge muscular guy to come kick their ass.

I estimate that I’ve went out to bars or parties at least 3000 nights of my life. I’ve hit on thousands of girls. I’ve had physical altercations only a handful of times and got my ass kicked once.

These fights were not the result of angry boyfriends. Usually the boyfriends just puff their chest or pull their girl away from you. The fights I was in were solely caused by my own stupidity.

These are the two things that really caused problems for me…

1.) Alcohol

A lot of guys with social anxiety use alcohol to self medicate themselves. Sure, it’s a social lubricant in moderation… but I often binge drank.

Being drunk clouds your judgement. It makes you run your mouth. It can also make you an easy target for someone trying to start shit. In all of my cases, I was the one starting shit while in a drunken stupor.

I’ve learned the hard way that alcohol should be used sparingly or avoided. I realized I needed to get over my anxiety without the help of the bottle. Beer & liquor caused more problems than good.

2.) Ego/Pride

There’s a time and place to take a stand in life to defend your pride… and it’s not when there’s a 6′2″ 250lb pissed-off guy snorting at you.

It’s best just to keep your mouth shut, swallow your ego and walk away. It should be a total no-brainer when there’s no money or pussy in the mix.

You really need to pick your battles in life. I feel that a lot of times in my past I got worked up over nothing, yet also was too passive when it really mattered.

So, in conclusion…

Alcohol + Ego = Fights

If you keep your alcohol consumption reasonable and your ego in check, you’ll avoid 90% of potential fights. Be smart and calibrated and you’ll avoid most heated confrontations.

Wear SEXY Clothes, Not COMFORTABLE Clothes

I’ve loved Saturday Night Live parody ads ever since I was a kid… and this past weekend they took a stab at the horrible fashion choices of middle-aged men…

In a fake New Balance ad, Zach Galifianakis and two other out-of-shape guys in their late 30’s and 40’s professed their love for their cross training shoes…

To be fair, Ryan Gosling’s character in “Crazy Stupid Love” was the first to mock men wearing New Balance shoes…

The point is, cross training shoes have their place… if you’re exercising. If you wear them 24/7 because they are “comfortable”, don’t complain if women don’t find you attractive.

Girls spend hours doing their hair, make-up and wearing skintight clothes all just to look good. They sacrifice comfort in order to look sexy.

I think men tend to let themselves go once they get into their 30s. You should take a hard look at yourself in the mirror before you leave your house… “Does this make me look attractive… or am I wearing this because I’m lazy and it’s comfortable?”

Leave the New Balance’s for the gym… you do work out don’t you?

I want to give you some examples.

I once met a girl who was 24 years old. She was smoking hot. I met her in a dance club.

When she was 16, she was obsessed with a rock band called Nine Inch Nails.

At the time I met this girl, I had the same haircut as their singer Trent Reznor.

As it turns out, this girl was sexually turned on by this band’s music, and by the way the lead singer looked.

She probably had sexual fantasies about him.

But…she never met him and she never fucked him.

This is the way it goes with celebrity crushes. The girl gets a crush, but nothing ever comes of it.

Instead, she decided to fuck me, since I was the next best thing in her mind.

Yes, women will fuck you because you have the same haircut as the guy they had a crush on when they were 16.

And that is the basic psychology of sexy stereotypes.

In this case, the girl came up to me and made the first move. We talked for a little while and we ended up fucking right there in the club only 20 minutes later.

That is the power of sexy stereotyping.

“Rockstar” is one of the more obvious sexy stereotypes, but there are others as well.

Remember, it depends on a few things- pop culture, what her friends think, and what type of guy gave her her first positive sexual experience.

To keep things simple, let’s start with pop culture.

Here’s some types to keep in mind, and an example of each-

- Rockstar (think Dave Navarro)
- Power Suit (Simon Baker or Pitbull)
- Rapper (TI or Eminem)
- Hipster (see “Young the Giant”)
- Rugged Guy (Colin Farrell or Brad Pitt)
- Tattoo Guy (Travis Barker)

I’ve created a method where you can take the horniness that these guys create, and transfer it on to you.

I’m going to tell you more about it in my next article.

But first, let me tell you that sexy stereotyping can work for almost anyone.

You don’t have to be good looking.

The reason why, is that women are not really looking for guys who are “good looking.”

Most hot young women have had experiences with all kinds of guys, and they know that when a guy has good looks, it doesn’t always mean she’s going to have a good experience with him.

Some women have even had negative experiences with good looking guys, and they don’t want to go there again.

I’ve heard women say things like “I don’t want a guy that’s prettier than me” or “him having that perfect little nose just reminds me of a gay guy.”

Women don’t always associate a man’s good looks with a positive sexual experience.

That positive sexual experience is harder to find, and it’s what women are really after.

You may have noticed that some of the stereotypes I listed were ultra-masculine stereotypes.

That’s because women see ultra-masculine guys as more dominant. They think that an
ultra-masculine guy will be more likely to rule her pussy with an iron fist, and that’s what she wants.

Chew on that for a little while, and I’ll talk to you soon about how easy it can be to improve your style, and why most guys miss the boat on this.

She forms this opinion based on a few things-

- what she sees in movies, TV, and music. -
what her friends consider sexy. - the first
batch of guys who give her a positive sexual
experience.

Once she has solidified her idea of what
“type” is the right type to fuck fast, she
will take that idea with her into her 20s,
30s, and 40s.

If you fit that “type,” she will
automatically think it’s a good idea to have
sex with you, before you even talk to her at
all.

Make sense?
