Transferring the font files to your device

Transfer the font to your phone storage folder under this location: Internal Memory/GoLauncherEx/Font. Note that the font extension has to be .ttf only (yes in small letters).

 

Scanning for the newly added Font

Go to Menu - Preferences - Visual Settings - Swipe Left and click on Scan Font. The scanning process may take some time. The most frustrating part is when you want to add more themes you have to keep scanning again and again with every add and each time it scans the entire phone.

During the scanning you can see what app is being scanned for and how many fonts it has discovered.

Once the scanning finishes just tap on Select Font and scroll to the font you want to apply and select it. Its to be noted that the fonts in the Go Launcher Ex Folder always appear last, it first shows the system default and the fonts which are included in the installed apps. There is no way to sort the listing of fonts. Frustrating! Yes I know.

 

What was my default Font on Go Launcher? 

After the scanning process is completed you might see that under the Select Font it shows as Android Clock, which is wrong. That is not the current default font. The default font is Droid Sans [system].

If you have a custom launcher like GO Launcher / Apex Launcher Installed you can set it as default. So whenever you click the home button it always takes you to the home of the Go Launcher EX / Apex Launcher App. To do so Press the Home Key after installing Go Launcher Ex / Apex Launcher. Tick mark "Use by default for this action".

 

How do I remove GO Launcher / Apex Launcher as my default home screen?

For GO Launcher EX: Go to settings - application manager - scroll to Go Launcher Ex - tap on "Clear defaults" under "Launch by default".

 

For Apex launcher: Click menu - Apex Settings - Advance Settings - Scroll down to other settings - Tap on Set default launcher - Tick Mark "Use by default for this action" and select any other launcher.

 

Where can I get support for Go Launcher EX / Apex Launcher?

You are done. You can now setup the Launcher Screens as you normally would with the default Launcher and customize it your way.
