Google has formally announced the expansion of AdSense for domains, a program which allows publishers to earn advertising revenue from undeveloped (read parked) domains. As you might imagine, the many domain parking companies are not so pleased.

Google by all accounts is going to be turning the world of domain parking on its head. Presenting not just advertising, but links, search results and according to the post “other useful information” which will provide a much better experience for both users and, most importantly, advertisers. Google apparently believes in the opportunity for advertisers so much, they are touting a case study with SEM solution provider Efficient Frontier.

Publishers and domainers will need to abide by the policies outlined by Google in relation to site and ad behavior, trademark issues, etc. Adsense for Domains will be rolled out in phases to English-language publishers located in North America. Current publishers can check to see if their account has been enabled via the AdSense Setup tab.

First of all the attacks of Mumbai are not justifiable in any law or code of conduct. The accident had far reaching implications at regional level as well as global international relations. Sour of Pak-India relations, hostile nuclear South Asia, continuous expected blame game, damage to Indian national interest, and impending Hindu-Muslim conflicts in India are some of the aspects of this crisis. Its a fact that United nations has no agreed definition of terrorism which can prevent a state to intrude militarily in another state to achieve absolute gain. Most of the part of war on terr, Iraq issue, is carried out without the permission of united nations to do so. But here we see Mumbai attacks as an act of “terrorism” as it is justifiable by any definition of Indian law or moral code of conduct. Who carried out these attacks? it’s a big question and everyone is blindly giving statements. Let’s evaluate some blame game possibilities.

One possibility is those were militants from Hayderabad Dakan because the terrorists have themselves admitted that on the media interview. It is true that Hayderabad Dakan had seen worst Hindu-Muslim riots and communal killings and nowadays there are many militant organizations are operating there. The culture of grievance, culture of violence and ideological clash (two nation theory) which are called as the three pillars of terrorism have deep roots in Indian hayderabad. So, a terrorism from from Hayderabadi militants is very expected.

Second possibility is the terrorists were from Pakistan and ISI is involved in this operation. This is a least vigilant statement at this time. Pakistan is suffering from internal as well as external problems. Situation in FATA, economic crisis, energy crisis, judicial crisis, and global war on terror are some of the problems which Pakistan is facing nowadays. Military of Pakistan was even not in a position to protect her former chief Pervaiz Musharraf in this crisis environment. On the other hand peace process with India was moving in a right direction. Development of trade links by road, CBMs in Kashmir, joint anti terrorism system and cultural exchange were normalizing tensions between India and Pakistan. Under these situation Pakistan would be least interested in caring out such an attack which will give India a license to wage another war with Pakistan.

Third possibility is that India herself carried out these attacks. These attacks has put India in a position to strengthen her stance on Kashmir. Muslim struggle for self recognition can easily be called as a terrorism now. Muslim minority can now easy be persecuted in the name of so called clash of civilizations.
We should try to minimize the use of paper in our life. We should do most of our work online. In this regards We can do some good things:

1. Try to buy ebooks rather than hard copy books

2. Use a pocket PC.

3. Use an eMail signature like I got in eMail

4. Do not write letters on paper use an SMS service or an eMail client.

Acceptance of Democracy under military rule

Promotion of President Musharraf’s Vision

Wrong Approach towards War on terror

Pakistan’s Judicial Activism

Lal Masjid Issue - mainly how wrongly they approached towards the solution of that internal issue

Food and Wheat Crisis

Rise of religious exremism and sucide attacks

Recently I cam across following photographs by a Pakistani cartoonist taimoor.

Today While we were discussing the topic of Insulinoma in our surgical floor, Dr. M. Arshad Cheema (FRCS) showed us a real life scenario when a patient of Insulioma fell prey to medical malpractice.

Who was Resposible?

A psychiatry Department, The pateint was in usual state of health some days back when he became mentally abnormal. The relatives of the pateinet consulted a community psyciatrist as they thought he has become mentally retarted. The doctor sent the patient to Mayo hospital Lahore. Where he was admitted to the psyciatry department and remained there for one month. No drug was effective as the diagnosis was wrong from the day one.

A Neurology Department, came to be the part of whole Medical Malpractice when he was referred to Neurology ward by psyciatry department. They started the treatment of epilespy as there were fits as his presenting complaint. Oneday while he was in the Neurology ward he become fully unconscious for a long peroid of time.

When He was Lucky?

Luckily, he was referred to medical emergency for uncounsciousness. As a routine investigation ( Which was missing from the day one) , his blood glucose levels were advised as a standard approach for unconscious patients. The blood sugar was found to be 35 mg/dl and labelled as in severe hypoglycemia. On investigations like Xray abdomin and CT scan he was rightly diagnosed as Insulinoma. ultimately his surgery was planned and he was operated for Insulinoma.

Why he was still not Lucky enough after right surgical operation?

The Pathology department was responsible for another added medical Malpractice. As 90% of insulinoma cases are benign he was falsely reported as benign insuinoma on histopathology. Actually he was suffering from a malignant disease and was a candidate for rediotherapy and chemotherapy.

What was the end result?

As a result he presented with spread of malignant disease to liver and about 30 secondaries there. He lost his life miserably in the hands of best doctors in Pakistan who were practicing nothing more than a medical malpractice.
