It is the time when I realised that I am not writing! I have a website and blog but I don’t use them. I know that I am not alone in this situation, however that should be changed. If I think that this blog will no longer be active, I should remove it.

The problem that I don’t also have the time to decide if I want to keep it or kick it. I have a free time, but I don’t think a lot about this special idea about the blog.

I want to keep the blog updated but I don’t think that writing everything in the blog is the correct thing to do. I need to prioritise my ideas to decide what to write about and what not to write about.

I will take my time to think about the feature of this blog as soon as I can ..

finally I submit my dissertation last thursday. It was a really tough process for 2-3 months working on that dissertation. Now I am waiting the results which will be ready at November.

Now, I will return to Bahrain to start my new life. seeking for a job and building my career.

before leaving Manchester after two days from now, I am just relaxing and trying to enjoy my time. It is hard to move directly from a stressful time to a relaxation moment. however, trying to do some coding make me enjoying this time.

If anyone know any company have available vacancies, please let me know to help me to minimize the unemployment time.

sorry because I did not write anything from a long time. I really do not know why I don’t have anything to talk about!

Okay, just to start writing again, now this blog is working with WP 2.5 and finally i take a time to update the blog and chose a new them for it.

The time is the most precious thing on our live. In my opinion it is more important that money. If you have a lot of money but you do not have time to spend this money then you are like the one who do not have any cent. If you have a lot of money but you do not have a time to sit down with your family for five minutes then you are working for this money and it take your time.

We do not care about the time until we find ourself in a situation that needs time to be solved. I usualy forget about the time until I find myself with some days until reaching the deadlines.

I try more than 100 times to use a plan and stick on it. Usually after week or two I forget about the plan and start to do my favorite action: PROCRASTINATION! I hate that. But I still do it!

Did you ever heard about the term web games? I start playing on one of the most famous games and its name is Travian. The Arabic servers is not so good as other languages severs but at least you can play.

The web games do not need for anything other than a web browser like Fire Fox or Internet explorer and you can start playing.  Because of that you can play it from anywhere and anytime even when you want to check your email on the university laps you can take a look on your web game account and do some actions.

I am addicted now to this game and I do not know what I will do if I lose the connection with the internet for two or more days.

what about you? did you like games? Zero hour? Fifa? any game? online or ofline game?

This fight come again and again when anybody start to talk about the best languages for the web applications. for example PHP lover will say PHP Rule! and ASP.Net fans will say chose it and forget about the others. Same for JAVA fans and so on,..

I am a PHP fan and I like it. It is free and you can code it using any text editor. you can upload it to the server and that’s it. You can also find a lot of PHP free hosting services. If you prefer to pay for a hosting company it will not cost you a lot to get a good PHP hosting company. But I should say that I find Asp.Net and Java interesting too.

But why when we like a programing language we ignore the rest? do we really think that the other programing languages are not good comparing with the one we use? or we are not really ready to change to new programing languages?

I am from the ones who don’t really want to change. I know how to program using PHP and MySql. But I don’t really try to use Ajax in my programs because I find it hard to redesign everything just for the sake of having Ajax enabled program. I ignore it for more than one year and then I relies that I should start thinking about it. You can’t hide your face one the ground and think that nobody can attack you. Because of that I plan to redesign my programing style to add some Ajax features here and there.

I used Asp.Net once when I had to do my project for one of the lectures. I try to encourage the lecturer to use the FREE PHP but he said: everyone want ASP.NET programs now and you should learn a bit about it. It wasn’t really ba. I just have to learn how to use Visual Studio which mad something take more than 5 minutes when you can make it in 2 and also make something take 30minutes done in 5 minutes. I have to forget also about coding everything and I start to learn how to use the Tools which Microsoft Upgrade one time per two or three years and you should learn it from the beginning! but it is okay to learn how to use it and program ASP.Net using C#.

I just finish my Project for one of the lectures that we should use Java as a programing language. I should use Java and Eclipse and Google Web ToolKit to produce a web Ajax enabled application. It is a great opportunity to use all of these for the first time! But I survived! yes I do it with a headache on my head at the end. Yet, I don’t do a perfect job because I don’t really like using something for the first time and it make you make some simple jobs in more than 30 minutes! when you can do it in 10-15 minutes by start coding! Also I hate the JAVA compiling thing. and the Java engine.It took a lot of my laptop resources to just run these!

But do you know! I think the problem is not in these programing languages, The problem within ourself. we don’t like to change and we like the way we are doing the job now. what about you? do you have a story to tell about changing in life?

I start building websites from 1998. I used front page for designing my website pages. To host the site I used Freeservers free website host.

I just start to build the first website to make me happy about the ability to put something to the world. I start to put some content from copyright books and journals. I really wasn’t have any idea about the copyright materials and what that mean! I just start to rewrite some articles and some pages from the books to add more content to my small website.

The main problem for me before is that I don’t know a lot about something called traffic or how can I measure this these called visitors and visits. Or how can the visitors visit my site without knowing the site URL. I didn’t really care at the beginning but after three months I just stop working on my website because I think there is nothing I can give to my visitors if there is any visitor!

It was a good thing to know how to do that when you was just 13 years old. specially the internet wasn’t used in the past as it used nowadays. I was really proud that I can do that and I know how to build a website. but I don’t really know how to know if there is someone really interesting in my website or it’s just a page there and nothing else.

After these days. I moved to something called dynamic webpages. I learned how to install a php forum and how to manage that and add new sections and add moderators to the forums and so on. I used a free hosting also to do my magic. it’s name f2s or something like that. They provide a webspace that you can run php on it and a free MySql databases and that’s what you want to start your php forums.

Using a php forum like VBulletin was illegal if you don’t have a license from them. I don’t really care about that because I was using a free host and don’t really start a serious forum. it was just for fun. that’s just before I move to my next level with building websites.

The Boom was because of Namezero website which give you a domain name for a 0$ for a one year. I pick a name and start to build my website on a free webhosting also but have it’s Domain name. It was a big movement toward a real website. when the time came to renew the domain name I don’t really have or know about the Credit Cards. I try to seek for a one on my family had one but I did not find anyone. I know someone from the internet and he renew the Domain name for me and I was really thankful for him because of that. This move me to new stage of building a website.

I try to find a web host for my website and I found one called Site5.com. I found someone on my family have a credit card which help me to sign up with this web hosting company. I start to build my first proper website on my live. That’s cost me in the first year or so. But then I move to host more websites on the same web hosting account. I found after that I need to have my own reseller account to allow some of my friends to start here own websites. That’s move me to a really huge movement by start paying for my first server.

Nowadays I don’t really have the same feelings toward building websites because I don’t have time to do that now. But I have some great Ideas which I will start to do when I have time to do it. I know how to program in PHP and how to use MySql and that’s a great help to make my ideas true.

do you have some information about your first time ever you build a website?

These days I am planning for my next semester course modules. Because we should plan for the next semester courses from now. We can chose courses under Business school but we should take a permission from the course lecturer. Because of that I am planning to take courses from our available courses.

It’s too hard to think about that when you get overloaded with a lot of  assignments to do now. You have it from the beginning of the course but you keep delaying it until it is the time to submit it! I used to do that before and these days I feel like I have no time to do anything! sometimes I keep persuade myself that I can do it in time.

Added to that, I have to do a lot of reading to chose my dissertation topic. We have a meeting with some people from around the university and they will talk about their interest and we can chose one of the topics as our dissertation topic or we can give them an idea and they may accept it.

Sooner or later I will start my dissertation planning. I hope some of the books I bought about how to write a dissertation will help me to complete the phases without any problem. I consider Web 2.0 and e-Government as the main topics for now. But I may change these topics when I listen to the people from the university.

I talk about a lot of things today. starting with problem with postponed some responsibilities and ending with my dissertation. what about you? what do you feel at the end of the semester? do you think sometimes you feel that there is a hard pressure over you? or you are doing your assignments day by day?

I know. don’t be angry because I didn’t write anything for a long time ..

I don’t have to say why I didn’t write. but I can say what I am going to write about in this post.

I like programming. I like coding. But sometimes I don’t have the time and in other times I don’t have the mood to write any code. But I still like programming.

When you have time to read about this subject you may find that sometimes they differentiate between programming and coding. The Programming process as they say is the process where you think about the problem/project requirements and then develop a solution to meet the requirements.  where the coding is the process of write the code for a specific solution when you don’t have to think about the process of gathering any requirements because somebody else do that step.

Sorry, I don’t want to talk about technical stuff like that. I just want to let you know about some of my programming projects I have to do in the next months.

First of all, I have a very important project to do in next month and I hope I can do it. because I should do it from 6 months!

The second project is my coursework project using Java and Google WTK. I didn’t start yet. but I have around 15 days to do it. I hope I can finish it soon.

The third one is CMS script and I think I have the idea for it but need more time to plan for it. Maybe It will take me 3 months to do it because I done some important parts of it.
