Nokia just confirmed what I posted earlier today – Nokia Belle is now live for Symbian^3 users!

The Nokia Belle update can be installed on the following devices: Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, and the Nokia Oro. The Nokia 500 will receive it in the coming few weeks. Nokia Suite version 3.3 or above is needed to apply this update.

Nokia Lumia 900 International White

Nokia accidentally leaked an image of the Nokia Lumia 900 international version. So far we’ve been led to believe that the Lumia 900 will be exclusive to AT&T in the States, but apparently this will change soon enough. The image above was posted on Nokia’s official Facebook page, so you could say the image is official.

There are three major differences when you compare the images of the two. The biggest difference is the clearly visible front-facing camera on the Lumia 900. Additionally, the speaker grill has moved to be placed inside the screen, and the microUSB port has lost its lid.

Nokia Lumia 800 White

Samsung invitation for March 22

I missed this yesterday, but better late than never, right? Samsung has sent out press invites to an event they plan to hold on March 22. The invitation above was received by FrAndroid, which is an French Android blog.

It is highly possible that Samsung is preparing to launch the Samsung Galaxy S III at this time. Samsung launched the Galaxy S II in February, it hit stores in Europe in May, and finally the American launch was in the fourth quarter. If the company is planning a timeline like this, then an announcement could very well happen in France in March.

Nokia Belle Update 111.030.069

Nokia has finally released the Nokia Belle update for the N8, E6, E7, C6-01 and C7. The update is currently available as a wire-update via Nokia Suite.  The exact software version depends on the phone you’re using. Version 111.030.069 is Nokia Belle for the C6-01, and version 111.130.625 is Belle for the E6.

Nokia Lumia 800 White front and back

Nokia announced the White color alternative of the Lumia 800 today. The white color is a very nice glossy finish, while the cyan, magenta, and black versions come in a matte finish.

The HTC Ville has yet again posed in front of a camera. Rumored specs for the HTC Ville include a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and a 4.3-inch AMOLED (qHD) screen packed inside a case that is 8 or 8.9mm thick. Android 4.0 together with the newest version of the HTC Sense UI will make sure everything looks good. So far we don’t have more intel on this device, but we’re expecting to get a full press release at Mobile World Congress in just 20 days.

Nokia 801

SmartPhoneGeeks.in got hold of a render of what is claimed to be the Nokia 801. The Nokia 801 will be the successor to the Nokia N8, which is still the best cameraphone out there. The Nokia 801 will run Nokia Belle, and sport NFC and a 12-megapixel camera.

Here is what is currently rumored to come with the Nokia 801:

• Runs Nokia Belle OS
• 4-inches AMOLED ClearBlack Display
• 640 x 360 pixels resolution
• NFC
• 1.4 GHz processor
• 512MB RAM
• 12MP camera with dual-LED flash
• 1080P video recording

The device is also packed in the same polycarbonate shell as the Lumia 800/N9.

It will be interesting to see how Nokia will manage to fit the 12-megapixel sensor inside this. If this is really a successor to the N8, we need good optics. The render doesn’t show a thick design, so my guess is that the camera module will make a pretty big bump in the back of the device.

A rumor during the weekend suggested that this will be Nokia’s final device to sport Nokia Belle (or any future version of it).

Eldar Murtazin just “confirmed” on Twitter that the leaked render actually is the real deal. Could we see this announced at Mobile World Congress at the end of this month?

Samsung Galaxy S II

A new report from Korea’s Electronic Times News cites the usual unnamed sources when they state that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be only 7mm thick. For comparison, the Apple iPhone 4S is 9.3mm, and the Samsung Galaxy S II is 8.5mm.

Samsung has managed to squeeze the extra thickness away by using even flatter components inside. The 8-megapixel camera module is said to be a little bit thicker than the rumored 7mm. Other important specs for the Galaxy S III include a quad-core CPU, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a Super AMOLED Plus screen, Android 4.0, 2GB of RAM, and 4G LTE. May is currently when we’re expecting to see this new flagship of Samsung announced.

Nokia Denmark Lumia 800 White

Nokia Denmark’s Twitter account was just used to tease us with a white Nokia Lumia 800. As you can see in the image above, the nails are colored to match with the Lumia 800 she is holding in her hand. The last image is just an empty hand with nails colored white. Well, I’d say that this can only mean one thing – a White Lumia 800 is hitting Denmark soon!

Edit 2: Nokia just confirmed this on their Conversations blog. “Keep your eye on Nokia Conversations for details of when and where the white Nokia Lumia 800 will go on sale later this month.”

Windows Phone 8 chassis

Last week we got information of Windows Phone 8. It was none other than Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore who appeared in a leaked video meant for Nokia Partners. Well, jump till today and you get a leaked screen from a Nokia deck showing 6 different chassis designs in the “Tomorrow” category.

As you well know, the Windows Phone hardware specifications allow only a certain type of devices to be built. When WP8 is released, we’ll see some more variation in the phone designs from the different manufacturers. From last week’s intel we know that there will be support for four different screen resolutions in WP8.

I’d say that the most interesting part in the slide are the two extremes – the smallest and the largest. There appears to be a very small device, roughly the size of an iPod nano. Will this run Windows Phone, too? Or is it just a Bluetooth accessory that could be used as a watch? The one with the bigger screen is obviously a tablet. Will this run Windows Phone 8, or ‘just’ Windows 8?

Here’s what I see in the image (from left to right):

• 1st. device: Very small, iPod nano size. Could be a Bluetooth watch/phone?
• 2nd device: 3-4″ screen like on today’s Lumia 800. All-screen layout with capacitive buttons removed from the design.
• 3rd device: Business model, design like in today’s Nokia E72 / Asha 303.
• 4th device: Current generation. Design like the Nokia Lumia 800
• 5th device: 5-7″ phone/tablet, could run Windows Phone 8
• 6th device: Large tablet, could run Windows 8
