For over two decades Miami Florida has hosted the annual blast for the dance music industry, Ultra Music Festival. It has always been a huge event, but this year, an entirely different set of expectations was asked from Ultra. As EDM (Electronic Dance music) grows in popularity, Dance music artists such as Skrillex, Avicii, David Guetta, and Datsik are getting increasing amounts of new fans and attention. Worldwide, the entire electronic dance music scene is growing, originally getting a jumpstart from Europe, the trend is rapidly expanding to the United States music capital, Miami.

The 3 Day long event was held in Bayfront Park in Miami, at a beautiful theatre overlooking Biscayne Bay. Looking to their left, music festival attendees see a side view of a towering downtown Miami skyline. Glow in the dark glasses, and neon Rage Hats seemed as though they were a required piece of the dress code, one of the vendors, RageHats.com, set the feel for the weekend attire.

This year, eight stages filled the event, Carl Cox, an EDM legend, hosted his own stage for one of the days. A few other artists hosted their own respective stages on different days during the weekend. Up and coming artists now became new headliners such as Avicii. Avicii, Skrillex, and Datsik each only launched their first recordings within the past few years. Despite the new artists on the scene, dozens of music legends played both live and DJ sets at the festival.

New Neon Trends

Aside from the music aspect of the festival, new fashion trends were certainly prevalent. Everyone goes to these festivals to stand out and get noticed; one of the vendors sparked the growth of a huge trend of Neon Hats. RageHats.com brought various neon trucker snapbacks with bright catchy phrases. Girls were quick to buy hats that say “YOLO”, You only live once, while many traditional party goers grabbed the classic “RAGE” hats. Over the course of weekend, hundreds and hundreds of hats flew of a small pink rack, onto the heads of attendees.

It can be said the the early rave revival is responsible for the new growth in neon gear as rave gloves and flashing apparel seem to complete the outfits of the average music festival attendee. RageHats.com has sponsored quite a few other festivals, including Electric Forest Festival and Identity Music Festival, however none has ever been as big or popular as Ultra. The festival staff and production team are seeking to reduce the connotation to raves, preventing any sale and vending of flashing rave gloves and LED accessories. Many other festivals across the nation are not as strict, some even promote the led “rave” scene, as it adds to the excitement and light shows of the weekend events.

The future of Raves

Regardless of your thoughts on the new rave scene, one things remains a fact, Ultra Music Festival was filled with neon hats and overtaken by the new neon scene. RageHats.com nearly ran out of hats at the show after an unexpectedly high demand for YOLO trucker hats. Many people enjoy ordering bulk hats, and customizing their own on the website.

With the new growth of people interested in neon hats, it can be said that there is a strong chance that the rave scene is just growing. As mainstream EDM music grows in popularity, so to will the electric music festivals, demand for lasers and flashing accessories, and festivals like Ultra. For example, the new Electric Forest Festival, bases the entire show after the lighted, glowing nightlife scene. Glowsticks fill the air after every bass drop, and nearly everyone wears led gloves, and el wire to stand out from the crowd.

Everyone is talking like crazy about the fact that women love shoes more than anything else, but they forget about the Bag. Shoes go hand in hand with the bag, everyone knows it, even if in the past years the myth in which the shoes must match the bag died. But everyday, no matter where you go, after putting on the shoes, you take your bag and fill it with all the things that you think you would need that day. Sometimes it looks like a whole closet is in one bag, other times is like you are just carry it to be an accessory and nothing else. No matter how many things can fit in one bag, the question is “Why do you buy designer bags?” or “Why do you buy fake bags?”

Personally, I buy bags for quality, all my bags are leather and I do not care so much for the brand, but for the material. But if I could afford designer bags, there is no doubt that I would buy ONLY designer bags, which bring quality and luxury. Because I do not have the money to buy expensive bags, my only options are to buy no name quality or fake bags, which bring no quality at all. So, why do 80% of all the women buy fake bags?

I thought so many times about buying counterfeit goods like shoes and bags, but then it popped into my mind ”Why pay so much money on something that has no quality, it is not the real thing and allegedly people will know it is fake?” (come on, who will believe that you bought a real Birkin when you are just and average Joe?) So, I chose to save my money and when the time comes (hopefully this summer) i will buy the real designer bags and I will have that nice feeling of owning a piece of art.

I guess everyone wants to be seen like someone important, someone rich, someone who has it all. But in life only a few people have it all, and the rest can only dream and hope to have it all someday and until that day comes purchasing fake goods will make them have a fake feeling of being wealthy.

What is so special about designer bags?

The whole idea of designer bags started when wealthy people wanted quality and unique goods. They had the money, so the artists (designers nowadays) started making works of art, combining rare leather with gold pieces and crystals. The bags where incredibly beautiful, functional and lasted for decades.

I am not stating that some brads do not overcharge their prices just because they can, sometimes I find quite crazy to give so much money on just a bag, but if you look closely enough, you can see and feel the softness of the leather, the gold/silver polished chains and the attention to details. So, you are buying the brand for the quality and uniqueness not just because they are expensive.
