Those who are knowledgeable about cameras will know that there is a lot more to a camera then merely pixel count. In fact this should just be one of the many factors that one needs to look into prior to selecting a camera. Panasonic has just expanded their HD camera line up which includes three new models - HDC-HS300, HDC-TM300 and HDC-HS250.

Its a trend amongst bloggers to label anything out of the ordinary in gadgets as futuristic . Gizmodo though doesnt hesitate in calling a spade as a spade and has labelled the HMX R10 as a Alien eyed lens . Couldnt say we could agree more. I do like the dull steel finish though, I never was too keen on all those colors they keep draping cameras with.

The Pentax Optio P70 is another of those powerful 12 megapixel monsters that have made their apperance in the 2009 CES. Prior to jumping to the features Id like to mention that superb price which at 200$ USD is an excellent buy. Its even packed with face recognition software which makes it easy for amateurs to take really good portraits or even group snaps. It can grab video , but not too well - but then again at this price I am not really complaining.

Thats the question you need to ask yourself if you have broken your upteenth camera. The Kodak Zx1 should definitely figure on your list in that case.
ATC : The All-Terrain Action Camera

Its not often that camera makers advertise their wares as something that you may want to use while jumping out of an air-plane at cruising altitude ; but then thats precisely the kind of audience that this action camera is catering to. Its also not the only thing that this all terrain camera (as I call it) is good for. Its good for literally anywhere , and whether that means 20,000 feet up in the air or a few hundred feet under water is completely up to you. As the manufacturer said, if you can go there ; the camera can too.

As cameras continue to get miniaturised, its almost as if the day when everything that you say and do will be recorded is already here. Take this one for instance, its smaller than a ping pong ball in size but it contains a complete video recording system - camera, memory et. al. It operates on a battery which is sufficient to let it run for upto 6 hours (2 GB SD card ) and its smart enough to get activated only when there is motion.
