It’s time for another round of top celebrity looks of the week, and once again this week I had lots of looks to choose from thanks to all the Cannes Film Festival festivities and the amfAR Gala (amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

So I decided to put together a best dressed list “Cannes Edition”, take a look at some of the many looks that I loved this week below!

The Coffee Trend

We love coffee here at Eternal Sparkles. Skinny vanilla lattes and hazelnut macciatos are my personal fave. But is coffee really good for you? We’ve been asking ourselves this question time and time again. The caffeine in your favorite coffee is absorbed in your body within 30-45 minutes. There it works as a stimulant on your central nervous system. During this time, you feel full of energy. Three hours later, the effects of caffeine dwindle and you find yourself on your way towards a second round.

The ‘experts’ call this caffeine dependence – not addiction. Either way though, withdrawal from caffeine dependence can be difficult, including headaches, anxiety, change in mood, decreased energy, or difficulty concentrating. On the bright side though, withdrawal symptoms typically last for just a few days. The question really is though, do we really have to completely kick the caffeine to the curb, or can we still enjoy the occasional cup?

There have been thousands of studies on caffeine and coffee over the past few decades, in an attempt to determine its exact effects on the human body.Studies show that a moderate amount of caffeine is not bad. It may even have some positive effects. Aside from increased alertness and concentration, recent studies show the potential benefits of caffeine include:

Lower Dementia Risk.
More endurance during workouts.
Reduced risk of Parkinson’s disease, liver disease, colorectal cancer & type 2 diabetes.
Decreased allergic reactions because of caffeine’s ability to reduce histamines.
Improved immune function from caffeine’s anti-inflammatory effects.

What I like Wednesday: Charli XCX covers The Backstreet Boys

Not too long ago, whilst I was reading through my Twitter timeline, I read a tweet posted by NME that said, “Charli XCX covers The Backstreet Boys.” Immediately, I clicked on the link! Since I am a big Charli XCX fan, I was really excited and was thinking of all the possible songs that she could have covered. To my surprise it was one of my favorites. Watch the video below to find out which song it was!

I quickly became obsessed with this cover and I can’t stop replaying it! I think this is definitely worth the listen!

Kristin Cavallari x Glam Boutique

So most of know Kristin Cavallari either from Laguna Beach or The Hills, where MTV cameras documented her fun and drama filled life for everyone’s, including me, entertainment. However, those days are long gone and now Kristin has been busy being a mother, working on her acting career, and even designing jewelry!

Kristin designed a small collection for Glam Boutique; the collection includes bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings. The collection is pretty affordable, compared to most celebrity collections, it ranges from about $18-$34. Check out some of the pieces below!
