Google gives Priority to your Inbox with a new feature!

I woke up this afternoon and was accessing my Gmail Inbox, i was curious to find a new link (in highlighted RED letters) next to my email ID saying “New! Priority Inbox BETA”, so i decided to checkout this new feature.

Priority Inbox is a new (BETA) feature offered by Google within their email based product Gmail, once this new feature is activated, it will find out the important mails and sort it out accordingly then put it into a new section called “Priority Inbox” which appears above your normal Inbox link in left side navigation menu

If any of your important email is left behind by the automatic detection of this new feature, then you can mark emails as important or not important manually and get it on the Priority Inbox

Google has released the new Priority Inbox feature to limited set of people and is currently in BETA mode

Also a new interactive video has also been launched by Google explaining what exactly Priority Inbox feature is all about

We hope this new feature will be rolled out to all Gmail users during next week in their inboxes

Epic – The Next So called “Killer” Browser

After a lot of juxtaposition on the user friendly interface of many browsers like Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Internet explorer, Flock, Google Chrome there is one more internet web browser that has made the competition much more thicker- Its the new Epic powered by Mozilla.

The new Epic is insubordinate and ingenious. The reason why its called revolutionary is quite simple. Its the first ever web browser to have apps. Yes, you read it right, APPS! Its quite similar to the apps of your smartphone. Apart from the add-ons the new vicissitude is the Epic apps. To start off with it already has 1500 apps. I tried the Facebook App and it works quite brilliantly. It was similar to the facebook app of Nokia smartphones. Other apps to are very good and provide a lot of utility of the user which help them become much more gratifying.Also it supports all the Firefox extension. If you are not satisfied with all this it has a inbuilt antivirus too to protect your pc. You can navigate over your hard drives too within the browser itself. What more can you expect from a web browser?

Do try the new web browser. It takes a few seconds to open after you double click on it but after it starts its a sensation. Comparatively, Epic is better than Safari for utilities but Design wise it’s got to catch up. One thing that we clearly noted is that the required boot up time is much more compared to the other browsers, rest all is in it’s place.

Infact my notions tell me that the Apple Safari extensions and the Epic apps will have a great competition later in future. Only time will tell how far its true.

It’s designed by Indian people for Indian people but the whole world can obviously give it a try. It has been created by a company called Hidden Flex which has its offices in the US and India with its headquarters in Bangalore, India.

Whats next from Apple on September 1

Apple will have a press conference on the 1st September. It would be great to see what would be the next new permutation from Apple. Apple has a lot of things to launch as the rumors suggest but the most interesting of them all is the transmogrify of the Apple iTV. As rumors suggests there shall be the embarkation of rental tv shows on Apple iTV. It will be a metamorphosis in the world of TV shows.

Also there can be a new iPod touch i.e. 4G iPod since Apple usually releases its new models of iPod touch during the September time. It would be great to see what would be new prodigious addition to the iPod touch generation.

As the Apple iPod Touch is a counterfeit of the Apple iPhone so it would mostly have all the new features of the Apple iPhone 4 i.e. Retina Display,design similar to that of the Apple iPhone 4, Better sensor which would aid gaming.

Another expectation is for a iPod nano’s revamped version which is much smaller to current one but will still retain the ports for connection which were present in the previous versions. Press is buzzing up with rumors for the next event!

What ever be the case. Hope to see something melodramatic on september 1 from Apple and we will surely keep you updated!

Prevent your Facebook account from being hacked

Afraid of those hackers who might break into your account? Well here’s this smart trick which might help you get around the fear. Facebook now has a security setting where you can register the devices which you use to access your facebook account.

If any other unregistered device accesses your account you get an alert via SMS and email. The best part about this feature is that it is very effective (not like other sites who send alerts late) and it is also very easy to set up this feature in your facebook account. All you need to do is log into your account and go to the setting tab-Account security.Then just choose yes and then click on submit. Just this much and you are not protected from hacking.

Enjoy Facebooking without the intervention of hackers.

Say Hello to iMac Touch

Apple has of late done many patents in which it stated that it would have multi touch Macbook’s with IPS technology, and its quite obvious that the iMacs do have a fair chance of getting the touch technology which they will be getting soon (as newly published patents suggests).

HP first started the generation of touch enabled PCs but it did not create a explosive sensation in the market. The sales of the touch PCs was very less. It would be great to see if Apple can change the keyboard generation to the touch generation just like how they revolutionized Music, Phones eBooks industry (sort of with iPad). One thing that would be illustrious about the new change would be web browsing which would become much more easier with the multi touch screen.

Also it would be intimidating to see gaming on the huge screen. Apple has messed up with the gaming part since its birth. Maybe this will be the time to get Gaming back in order. If we speak about the OS, it’s probably going to be iOS which would finally make all Apple products a family, at least software wise.

Accelerators would probably be of no use as one won’t tilt his screens while playing games but apart from this and better web browsing I cannot make out what the utility of the touch Mac’s will be. Though we cannot ignore the fact, Apple is known for its innovation and vicissitude nature so it will surely come up with something and like always the new touch Macs will also create a huge stipulation in the market.

Note: The patents might be just for ownership purpose and not for actual creation of the touch Macs. This is just an assumption.

With the introduction of the Safari 5 by Apple there is one very important thing that Apple has added. It is the safari entensions. These extensions provide a lot of help and make browsing activities much easier and faster. They are quite similar to the firefox extensions but Safari extensions are a lot better.

One such extension is the Facebook Photo Zoom extension. Mousing over an image is all you need to enlarge a photo with the new Facebook Photo Zoom Extension. This clearly solves the problem of opening the image in a new window and then zooming it or saving the image to the computer hard drive and then zooming it. Its much easier and faster than the above two methods.

Apart from the utility part there is one more thing about this extension which we can admire i.e. the ability to enable and disable the plugin without going into the preferences of the extension.

A small button next to the chat on the right has to be click to enable or disable the extension. Quite easy,isn’t it?

It was always internet explorer and later Google Chrome which were reputed web browsers for PC users but Safari is catching up too.

Mark Zuckerberg calls movie on Facebook, “fiction”

If you’ve been in loop, you probably know about “The Social Network”. The movie whose story is supposed to be that of the Harvard Students who started the fastest growing network in their dorm, Facebook.

What we have found out is that Mark Zuckerberg is unhappy with the movie. He calls it “Fiction.” According to him, what is portrayed in the movie aberrates from the actual happening.

The movie presents a story which proposes series of betrayals and desperation for friends which they would never be able to appease. Chris Hughes, Facebooks co-founder quoted, “That’s not what was going on. It was a little more boring and quotidian than that.”

Mark is quite angry with the press too and in an interview with NYT, he blatantly said “Honestly, I wish that when people try to do journalism or write stuff about Facebook that they at least try to get it right.”

Sony prepares its base for extravagant mobile designs with new technology

Sony’s getting ready to push another revolution in mobile phone designs. Sony has developed a technology called ‘single wire interface technology’ which streamlines the internal cabling within a mobile phone (which is generally about 22 wires) to one single wire made of copper.

That one single wire carries, audio, video and camera (VGA) signals along with DC power all in one cable. It’s terrific because conventionally we’ve had wires increasing just as feature kept creeping in. Folding of these cables had been a challenge for mobile makers who had to compromise while preparing hinge and slider phones.

Our expectations go sky high for Sony as we wait for their first few products running on this technology!
