After several months of development and a couple of delayed launch dates, we are happy to announce Euro KickOff was officially launched on Wednesday 14th May and is now available for public use.

Now you can browse around all the fixtures of Euro 2008 or even filter them by:

team name

group

stage

venue

date

If you want a permanent record of the fixtures in your calendar, you can either download them directly as a calendar file or subscribe to the fixtures for automatic updates in the future (dependent on your calendar software).

We are extremely proud of this product and hope everyone interested in Euro 2008 will find it useful. We still have a few new features to release in the next week or so and we’ll be announcing updates as and when they happen.

Some of you may have noticed quite a sexy Easter Egg in there too. If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer, try resizing it…

We are also open to offers for sponsors of the website. You may have noticed the banners in the advertising board. If you are interested in getting your company logo in that board, please get in contact. We have very reasonable prices and will be potentially seen by millions of visitors.

Last of all, if you notice any bugs or problems, please let us know by emailing support@eurokickoff.com.

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the Euro KickOff website was meant to be launched yesterday (7th May) but is still showing the holding page. Don’t fret! The website is coming, just a little later than originally planned.

We’ve still got a few glitches to iron out before we’re completely happy with the service, some technical, some aesthetic.

We have pushed the launch date back a week to Wednesday 14th May 2008 which should give us plenty of time to make sure Euro KickOff is polished off just right for all you lovely people to enjoy.

We’re pretty sure you’ll be quite impressed with the website. Our designers have gone to town on the design, with a few Easter Eggs thrown in for good measure and the developers are working hard to make sure the process is as simple and intuitive as possible.

So update your diaries - May 11th is the date!

However, things are looking up. We have set ourselves a realistic deadline that should fit in with everyone - Wednesday 7th May 2008. That is the day to put in your calendars when Euro KickOff will officially launch to the public. It is less than a month away for us but it gives all you lovely users exactly one month to prepare for the biggest football tournament in Europe.

We have some great features in the pipeline and are quite excited about the general design of the website too. We’re pulling out all the stops on this baby and some of the finest developers from around Europe (we’re making sure this is a completely European product).

Keep checking back for new developments and updates.

The draw for fixtures takes place on December 2nd 2007 and we intend to have the website launched for February 2008.

We thought it would be a nice touch to have a blog for Euro KickOff, giving us a chance to publicise the progress of the project, building up to the launch, any bug fixes or updates as well some analysis during and after the actual tournament.

Subscribe to the RSS feed to keep up-to-date with the Euro KickOff project.
