Kuala Lumpur Day 4 - Menara Tower

Hi beautiful people,

Sorry for not updating for so long... Work is getting way out of control. I finally found time to blog about the last part of my KL trip.

I started day 4 off with some shopping in Sungei Wang which looks like our Far East Plaza or Bugis Street. I expected it to be cheaper but the prices there are actually not that cheap, I actually think most of their clothes are selling cheaper in Singapore. Thus, I really didn't buy much.

After shopping, John brought me to the shopping mall opposite Sungei Wang(forgot the name of the shopping mall) to eat at the food court. The food court actually corporated KL's most delicious and famous roadside stall and hawkers. Because I'm super reluctant to eat at ALL of the roadside stalls or dirty looking coffee shops so John brought me to this food court thinking that I could eat the Malaysian prided food at ease but I end up ordering Japanese food LMFAO! I just can't help it, all the so called "famous" stalls serve meat, meat and meat and still meat... I just am not a meat fan.

The ramen I ate, it was actually very tasty!

This was what John ate, forgot what it is... but as you can see it's meat all over.

After eating, we went to the Menara Tower but unfortunately it drizzling a little.

Riding the pony was my favourite part of the day because the pony that I rode was majorly cute and remind me so much of my Yumi(since I'm already very Yumi-sick at that time). But the pony looks very sad and tired, I'm thinking that the staffs there must have treat the ponies badly(and maybe I'm too heavy for it *guilty face*). It broke my heart, I so much wish I could buy it and fly it back to Singapore.

We spent $400 on all of the CNY foodie and steamboat ingredients. Actually it don't look so overwhelming if we have visitors or relatives joining us but we basically don't bai nian so the food are only for 5 people!!

We basically eat steamboat 3 meals a day everyday cause there's way TOO MUCH food! HAHA!

I bet no one else eat more than my family do..... Now it'll be one hard time to shed those weight gained.

Sorry took so long to blog about this, you have to excuse my laziness...... HAHA!

Day 3 in KL is where the trip with Nuffnang ends, all bloggers ate their last breakfast in Putrajaya Marriot and bid goodbye.

Not for me thou I have planned to stay behind for another 2 more days to meet my best buddy, John, since we have lots of catching up to do.

With that I left the awesome bloggers and continue my travel...

Actually I was planning to go shopping after that but because I felt bad for causing John to miss his friend's wedding dinner, I suggested to go together. So I ended up going to a stranger's wedding dinner, felt so odd and bored.... LOL!

Anyway we still had plenty of time before the wedding dinner so John suggested that we go to KLCC Aquaria.

The funny thing is that the entry fee for John who is a local is actually cheaper than mine as a tourist.

Ok back to the Aquaria, it's very similar to Singapore's underwater world. They have the same underwater tunnel where you can see the ocean lives on the travelator.

Then as I entered the tunnel, I spot this shark and if you see carefully you will see the shark has an abalone looking flap(don't know how to call it lah) at its supposingly asshole area.

Then the following conversation took place out loud (I bet all eyes was on us at that time)..

Me: "I didn't knew sharks have vagina."
John: "No, sharks don't have vagina lah."
Me: "Are you sure? Then how do they reproduce and mate?"
John: "Marine life no need to mate also can reproduce de leh."
Me: "Then what's that? Asshole?"
John: "Don't know, just part of it body isn't it?"
Me: "I'm going to google if sharks have vagina."

Then we continue our journey all the way to the end before I exclaimed "Shit!! I should had took a photo of the shark's vagina! I wanna blog about it!!"

With that we enter the tunnel once again to find the one and only shark with the vagina looking flap...... pokerface.jpg

(P.S. I googled and it seems sharks do have vagina and they have intercourse just like human do, female sharks are able to reproduce even without intercourse thou.)

John and I didn't stick around for the dessert (I hope it's not yam paste) and went to Sky Bar at Traders Hotel, Ben and Aries joined us later. I highly recommend anyone who is visiting KL to go to Sky Bar! It's a very beautiful place with nice view and an indoor pool! You do need super advance booking thou especially on fridays or saturdays, trust me I had failed to get a booking even calling 2 weeks in advance WTF.

Beyonce has finally popped!

Various news reported that Beyonce have checked in at the Lenox Hill hospital on Friday night under the alias Ingrid Jackson and had gave birth to her daughter which the couple named Ivy Blue Carter by caesarean section last night.

The couple has reportedly to have booked out the entire fourth floor spending $1.3million!! Talk about luxury!!

Whut!! Wait.............. Give me a minute to regain my senses......... I need to breathe...... Breathe in, breathe out, in & out, in & out...

Oh my, I felt like I was going to give birth. I can't believe baby Ivy Blue Carter come into this world with a 1.3M net worth!!! Oh wait, I bet it wayyyyy more than that if you consider the 10s & 20s times more they spend while Beyonce was pregnant.

Lao tian ye why you no let me marry such a rich guy!!

Anyway, congratz Beyonce and Jay-Z!! I hope baby Ivy Blue Carter will be as smokin hot as her mother when she grows up!!

Kuala Lumpur Day 2: Pavilion and G Tower

It's day two of my KL trip!! If you haven't read day one, you should read it here first.

After a night of Zouk Out, I only had 3 hours of sleep before waking up for breakfast at the hotel! Since there's oishii breakfast, I have nothing to complain about.

Took some photo of the view from my room before heading for breakfast..

So beautiful and good for the eyes too since there's so much GREEN.

I have to confess I'm a lousy blogger... Why? Because even thou I brought my camera down all ready to snap some photo of the hotel's breakfast buffet to feast your eyes, but once I saw those food everything went out the window... Conclusion, no photo of the breakfast buffet. That must be the reason why I'm piling on weight recently.... mah anyway diet always starts tomorrow!

After the breakfast, all bloggers are supposed to go for a tour around National Monument, KLCC, National Mosque and National Palace but the sleepy me bail out to continue sleeping in the hotel. Later I found out that most of them bail out halfway to go shopping!! Why no say earlier!!

G Tower is a really cool rooftop bar with nice views. It's really beautiful and relaxing there, although they have a mini dance floor and music blasting but it's not overwhelming which make it a prefect chill out place. G Tower is really my type of place although I prefer Sky Bar at the Traders Hotel KL which I went on my day 3 in KL.

We head back to the hotel earlier that night and had our very own private 'after after PJ party' in Issac and Marco room. We sipped wine and listened to Marco sang the whole night (I bet the neighbours find us really noisy thou). I would love to show you photos but but but Celine say no photography allowed so bo bian la...

I'm so honoured to attend this year's Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards!!! This year's Nuffnang Award gathered bloggers all over asia including Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, China, Malaysia and Singapore. Omg, blogging is such a big bang now thanks to Nuffnang!!

I had been looking forward to the event since I got the attendance confirmation!! Couldn't sleep the whole night due to excitement so I started making up and packing luggage at 4am.

As usual the sotong me took over and end up taking the circle line instead of the north-east line (what's wrong with me?!), luckily I went out super early so I still have ample time to make my way down to the Nuffnang office on the right route. Btw I'll NEVER, let me repeat again NEVER ever take MRT with luggage again!! I'm just too atas to take train with luggage man! I mean picture me all beautiful and glam carrying my $2,500 LV bag walking into the MRT station with my $300 heels, dragging a f**king heavy $200 luggage behind! Instantly the glam factor drops to zero, the image just look so wrong with me in it *flips hair*

Anyway shameless-ness aside, I managed to reach Nuffnang office in time with all the other bloggers and finalists. I'm surprised to see the finalists taking coach with us thou, ain't they taking flight? Btw only us Singaporean took coach, other countries' bloggers gets to take plane!!! Ew!~ I hope NAPBAS 2013 will be in Australia, or even better JAPAN and and and I hope I'll be a finalist then... Ok that's too shameless of me, that's why I type in super tiny font ok don't judge me...

We set off at 9am and took almost 1 hour before we reachedhe custom! I was actually very excited despite the fact that I'm very tired and thirsty because it's the first time I took coach to Malaysia. I prefer going on car thou no need to alight so troublesome..

But there's still long way before we reach KL, we did stop halfway to grab some food but I didn't took any photo there.

Finally after another about 4 hours, we reached Marriot Putrajaya

When we reached the hotel, everyone was exclaiming at how beautiful the hotel is... except me because I tot we are going to stay in the Marriot in KL beside Ritz Carlton so I was a little disappointed. But Putrajaya Marriot is really huge although a little signs of age but if you want a quiet resort sort of getaway, Putrajaya Marriot will be a pretty nice place.

After long waiting, we finally got our room keys and I'm sleeping with Jaslyn. We had less than 2 hours to get dressed and make up before the Blog Award starts, everyone was rushing! Even me who had already done my make up was also late!

I nearly got pick pocketed when I was in the dance floor, luckily I felt someone unzipping my bag and immediately got out of the dance floor and nothing was stolen! Holy, Malaysia is such a dangerous place! Didn't managed to catch the thief thou, I hope he/she get run over by a oil tank truck on the face 7 times!!!!!!!

Everyone agrees that throughout life there's many choice we need to make thus making the right choice becomes one of the VERY IMPORTANT things to do in life. Because Life Does Not Rewind!!

I'm proud to say although I don't always make the right choice but when it come to drugs I had made an awesome choice of staying afar from them.

You must be wondering why is this obaasan here preaching on this topic?

Because The National Council Against Drug Abuse and Central Narcotics Bureau have launched a fun and interactive Anti Drug Online Gaming Challenge where not only promotes zero drug usage and educates youngster on the downside of taking drugs, players also get a chance to walk away with attractive prizes (more on that later on).

Three flash games designed by local ITE and Polytechnic students will be launched one by one per month with different prizes up for grab.

And upcoming game to be release is "The Right Choice" which happens to be my favourite game out of the three games. The Right Choice was designed by a girl-only team from Singapore Polytechnic and the game also happens to be the champion winner of the Flash Game Competition. YOU GO GIRLS!!

The Right Choice let the player take on the role of someone close to the drug abuser giving the player a different perspective. A story mode game that keep me so engaged!! Make sure to make the right choices to save your "love one" (in the game) and get him away from drugs.

The player will take on the role of Jeremy, who suspects that his brother Xavier is abusing drugs.

The player will encounter scenarios where he/she has to make choices to progress in the game. Each choice will cause the story to progress differently, ultimately leading to different outcomes. A better choice will gain the player more points, while a worse choice will gain the player less points. The points accumulated will play a part in determining the outcome of the story.

The player will have to complete tasks throughout the story. For example, the player needs to find scraps of paper in the Xavier’s room in the screenshot above. All tasks are timed and the result will be converted into points and play a part in determining the outcome of the story as well.

A spot-the-difference game for players to spot drug items in Xavier’s room for clues that he is abusing drugs. The two images show how different Xavier’s room look before and after he started drug abuse.

The game ends after Xavier admits his mistake and resolves to change. All points will be converted into a time score which the player will see at the end of the game.

Each weeks the highest scorer for the individual age groups will win A pair of iFLY tickets. The overall highest scorer will win an iPad 2 32GHz.

To be honest, I don't find The Inbetweeners exceptionally funny as some of their jokes took me some concentration to understand mainly because of the heavy european accent.

Nonetheless I still enjoyed the movie, although I will strongly prefer more boobs than dicks flashing (now I know why the man love boobs, it's way better on the eyes).

Few days ago, me and a group of bloggers was invited to experience Domino's latest Cheese Overload pizza which essentially is pizza made with cheese sauce!

Just by typing now, I can feel my saliva drooling..

Since I got the invitation, I had been looking forward to the event.. Well, sinful foods like pizza are always my favourite!

BUT!!! On that fateful day, I lost my way and couldn't find the restaurant which was somewhere in god-know-where Tampines!! End up being late for an hour and I only got to taste the last pizza flavour which was btw Hawaiian!! Arghz!! Imagine my disappointment!! *beating myself up*

Sentosa was once known as Pulau Blakang Mati (绝后岛),which in Malay means the "Island(pulau) of Death(mati) from Behind(blakang).

Different versions of how the island came to acquire such an unpropitious name abound. One account attributed the ominous name to murder and piracy in the island's past.

On the Segway PT ride!! Seriously at first I was unsure about riding it as I'm wearing heels and it totally look dangerous to me!! Like what if I fall and disfigure myself?!?! Come on, 我靠脸吃饭的好不好！

The ride moves according to your body movement, you lean forward to go forward, lean backward to brake. Before going for the trail, we went for a mini trial on the ride. After one round I felt pretty comfortable on the ride, it's surprisingly easy to control and not dangerous at all!

After 5 round of trial run on the PT ride, we are all ready for the real thing!! And as we wait for our tour guide to lead the tour, I'm surprised when he turn out looking...

As we set off down the trail, every passer-by stare at our tour guide with question marks popping off their heads.. "Aren't halloween over already?"

Nonetheless imagine entering those dark eerie looking forest with a tour guide looking like this....

The tour took 1.5 hours and we visited much history artifacts including the dragon gate, the old time mail post and many more eerie places which I didn't expect to exist in the now beautiful Sentosa.

After finishing the tour, the person in charge treated us to some snacks and drinks at this beautiful beach bar with cool live band! Yeah, where there's alcohol there's Evangeline *blush*

With so much yummy food and alcohol(actually i didn't had enough to drink..), we lost track of time and by the time we decided to head home the trains had stop operating. Luckily, Jasmine's dad is kind enough to send me home on the way. Thanks!
