We are gearing up for a busy summer here at Eve, with requests for 2013 even starting to trickle in. Over the weekend I visited friends at Good Commons (where we photographed Erika and Brian’s wedding a couple years back) to shoot a retreat. During a hike through Coolidge State Park our group came across a baby owl nesting at the foot of a tree. Ain’t it cute?

New at Eve: Multimedia Pieces!

As incredible as still photography is, there’s something deeply emotional and touching about hearing the toasts and vows all over again, and that’s why Judd and I have decided to start offering multimedia pieces: A series of images and video that incorporate interviews and ambient sounds gathered throughout the day of the wedding. For our first multimedia piece, we took a wedding from 2010, Nicole and Dana at the Round Barn in Waitsfield, where we gathered audio and video, and this spring we’ve been hard at work assembling it into a six-minute piece that tells the story of the day.

What we really like is that Nicole and Dana each get to tell a little bit of their own story and how they met, which is a really wonderful aspect of the multimedia pieces. We hope you like it and we think this is a great addition to what we already offer at Eve. Enjoy!

Carolina & David | 3.17.2012

Carolina and David were married at Stowe Mountain Lodge on Saint Patrick’s Day last month. The two journeyed from Florida with Carolina’s adorable daughter, Bella, for a simple ceremony with close family and friends. They were wed on top of the mountain on the most gorgeous day one could ask for in March. Congratulations Carolina and David!!

Adri and Todd chose to have their wedding on New Year’s Eve, and boy did they throw a party! The day started off quietly as the two met face to face in fresh fallen snow behind the Round Barn Farm in Waitsfield.We had a fun portrait session outdoors, followed by a ceremony in the Round Barn’s milking parlor. We loved that after Adri and Todd did their introduction/first dance, they got the whole wedding dancing – before dinner was served. They also danced their way through the cake cutting – equally awesome. The band, DCQ project, did a great job and kept people on the dance floor right up until the minute we left. Overall, a super fun way to spend New Year’s Eve! Congrats Adri and Todd!

Happy 2012! During the first couple weeks of the new year, we’ve been holed up in the studio editing the best of last year’s work to include on our web site. This time around, though, Judd and I decided we’d like to take a radical new approach to how we organize our work. We started with moments (our favorite!) and worked our way into emotion, details, spaces and a number of other portfolios. Kevin and Becca were wed on Thanksgiving day at Stowe Mountain Lodge in a simple elopement ceremony. With only a handful of people present, they were wed in front of the fireplace and we took time after to do some beautiful portraits outside against a fresh coat of snow. They followed their photos with an intimate meal in a private dining room at the Lodge. We absolutely adored how simple and sweet their day was. Congratulations, Kevin and Becca!

Heather and Jason were wed at Sugarbush on a brilliant blue-sky October day. Heather, an art teacher, put together some amazing details for the wedding – a vintage suitcase to put cards in, antique book centerpieces for the tables, everything handmade. Most importantly, the two of them kicked back and had a great day with their friends and family. What a great way to end our season! Congratulations, Heather and Jason!
