My Name is Arzu, I am a mother, in my late thirties and I have been working in the banking sector for over 10 years

I was introduced to Eves24 by a colleague at the bank, after work on a weekend day we dropped by the store for the first time at Bandra, Mumbai, to see the designs. Even after looking around for a long time, I was still fixated on the brightly lit sparkle of the bracelet I had laid my eyes on from earlier. Since I had wanted a nice delicate diamond bracelet for a while, to wear to work every day. And now I had discovered, this one design, with the sparkling goodness of a genuine diamond.

I wanted to buy it on the same day, since I had the money and immediately gave my husband a call to ask for his opinion.I assured him the diamonds are all IGI certified and we needn't worry about the quality. Certainly he didn’t know what that meant and I had to explain to him that IGI is a reputed international agency that gives you an unbiased estimation of the Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat so you know your diamonds are genuine. Because only the genuine diamond has a splendid spark to it. My husband immediately asked “how much do they cost?” I was waiting for this question. Since I first wanted him to look at the design, I sent him a picture from the store and he called back sounding pleased and said it was “very different”, elegant and sleek looking. I smiled to myself agreeing with him as he spoke and told him I’ll ask at the store about the rate and call him back.

Most women have a fair idea about the kind of accessories that goes well with social occasions but when it comes to corporate wear, there are always doubts.
It's quite simple actually. Go minimalistic. Wear fewer colours. Opt for classic pieces that are timeless.
If you are fond of wearing statement pieces, wear just one to attract and not distract.

If you are working for corporate houses which have a conservative dress code policy, then here are some suggestions:
With trousers and shirts or skirts and blouses wear chains with small pendants which sit on your neck inside the collar or longer chains worn on the outside of your collars.
A choker length - 16" or a princess length - 18", works well with shirt collars, V necklines, scoop or round necklines and cowl necklines.

Long chains, matinee length - 18" or opera length - 20", are best worn with crew necks, mandarin collars, boat necks or turtlenecks. A string of small pearls or diamonds add a touch of elegance and authority to your outfit.

EARRINGS

Earrings are an important accessory and can add a sparkle to your face.

Know the Cost Components of Diamond Jewellery
- a. Gold

- c. Precious / Semi-precious stones /Pearls
  These are generally a small portion of the overall cost of Jewellery piece. It is important to note that the stones, other than diamonds, are added to enhance the design. Generally, semi precious big stones are used unless you ask the jeweller for the precious stones, which of course will be much more pricier. Do confirm before purchase if the stones / pearls are Precious / Semi-precious. The price of the Stone is dependant upon the weight (Carat), Quality (precious/ semi precious) and the corresponding rate charged.
- d. Making Charges
  Making charges refers to the charges for crafting a piece of jewellery. Generally, Jewellers calculate making charges as a rate on per gram of gold.
- e. Goods & Service Tax (GST)
  Currently, GST is 3% on the total value of the Jewellery.
  PS: We highly recommend paying the nominal 3% GST & obtaining a GST-Invoice from the jeweller. The advantages far outweigh whatever little would be saved when an invoice is not taken. You have a valid proof of purchase that shall also be helpful in case of any exchange / buy-back requirement in future.
