xDAIS Developer's Kit 6.00 Release

The xDAIS Developer's Kit 6.00 introduces the IRES interface, which can be used to define how an algorithm uses any shared system resource, such as hardware accelerators and memory. A new xDM interface for video transcoding algorithms is also defined.

xDAIS Framework Components 2.00 Release

This release of xDAIS Framework Components include an ARM-based DMAN3 implementation for use on the DM355 and more configurable tracing options. A new DSKT2 API is provided that enables a developer to force an algorithm to use external memory, regardless of what it requests.

Codec Engine 2.00 Release

Codec Engine 2.00 is a major new release that includes several new features. Codec Engine can now be called concurrently from multiple Linux processes and provides improved tracing for problem detection. For ARM-DSP configurations, Codec Engine performance has been significantly optimized by enabling users to disable cache writeback operations if they are using DMA to move the video buffers.

RTDX 2.00.01 Release

RTDX 2.00 contains several major new features that simplify use of RTDX during program development and test. RTDX now supports a C STDIO interface, enabling developers to use standard C functions like printf () or fread () for communication back to the host without stopping the processor. RTDX is now scriptable via Debug Server Scripting services, simplifying its use in automated testing. Finally, implementations of RTDX_read now include blocking and callback-based versions, as well as polling ones, making it more efficient when used in multithreaded applications.
