This week’s tutorial is from Chris Spooner and it teaches some helpful concepts you can use in Photoshop. What you will learn can be used in all kinds of designs, not just the cool ad you will create in the tutorial. Chris has a great design blog that has some great tutorials and resources on it.

Love this concept for a bike helmet. I have never worn a bike helmet because they are bulky, sweat-inducing and just plain ugly, but this design might just convince me to strap one on.

Almost Makes Me Want To Wear One

For World Water Day, BDDP  Unlimited partner NGO Solidarity International, which specializes in  coverage of basic needs (including water supply), created an  unprecedented display, using water directly as a medium. The display was set in the  heart of Paris and delivered messages about the damage caused by the non-potable water  in the world.

Photographer Esther Havens and the charity: water team head back to Murinja Village, Rwanda, to find a boy whose story has crossed the world to raise money for water projects.

His name is Jean Bosco. He’s 17 years old and used to collect water every day from a muddy swamp. Now, he and the hundreds in his village drink from a charity: water well.

Just two years of clean water had transformed this village. Jean Bosco and his friends told us they don’t get sick like they used to. What an amazing story!

I have been very busy lately with some exciting new projects and to be honest I was a little burnt out from blogging and needed a break… but I’m back and I will be updating more regularly and also share some of my recent work.

I’ll Miss You Grandpa

Great project from the Burrard-Lucas brothers from the UK. They managed to create a remote control vehicle with a Canon EOS 1D MK III attached. They got some really great shots in the process and I can’t wait to see what else this creative pair will come up with.
