you know that one of the main tools of democracy is rotation (or changing) of managing people.

Thus, as it is stated in the Statute of the European Youth Parliament-Belarus, we have the NC election every 6 months. This time I would like to renew your thoughts about the role of the National Committee.

The NC consists of 7 members elected by all the Belarusian EYPers’ votes. The main responsibility of the NC is to provide sustainable development of our organisation. In practise this means the following business:

in-country sessions organisation in cooperation with local organisers

for cross-border sessions – delegations selection, preparing and visit mamagement

international cooperation and official “paper” stuff

regional development in close cooperation with city representatives and most active EYPers

establishing criteria of selection and other rules

and a lot of other business

So if you feel interested in all this – do not wait and apply! The on-line application form is situated at our web-site http://eypby.org/?election_id=5&app_type=nc

We are waiting for your applications to make the process really competitive.

Sincerely yours,

It is my pleasure to invite you to take part in the Kyiv Regional Session of EYPUkraine,

which will be held on April 26-29, 2010 in the beautiful and

blossoming capital of Ukraine – Kyiv.

The reason this session is taking place in Kyiv is the fact that one of our schools – the International Relations Lyceum – is organising an International Forum which will include workshops on environment and will sum up the results of the experimental implementation of the subject on environmental protection into the school’s curriculum.

Since the Lyceum has been our partner for over a

year now, they are very much interested in conducting an EYP session in the framework of their Forum. That is why the format of the session and the programme will be a bit different from the usual ones, but I can reassure you that they will provide you with an even more enriching and exciting experience.

Just read the description below!

The session will gather up to 60 participants, including several international delegates and a team of officials, both Ukrainian and international. There is NO participation fee. Taking part in this session will give you an opportunity to get the insight on Ukrainian culture and lifestyles and explore the beautiful city of Kyiv, something you probably wouldn’t be able to experience at any other session.

Those, willing to participate, please fill in application form here.

Mind that the deadline for application forms is April, 10 2010.

Together with excited group of youngsters at the Lyceum and the whole team

of EYP-Ukraine leadership I look forward to welcoming you in my home city and

my home school this April.

Sincerely ,

Anastasiia Ianovytska

This event follows a unique concept that aims encouraging greater creativity and co-operation among the session participants. We decided to put less emphasis on usual committee allocation and therefore attempt to conduct a Teambulding for all session participants at the same time. We invite each delegate to be a member of two discussion groups during the Committee Work. Finally, during the General Aseembly we provide delegates with a framework that allows them to improve all presented drafts of resolutions.

Take part in a truly unique and creative EYP event. 13th Regional Session of EYP Poland builds on a new, innovative concept.

What is different about the new concept? Who is invited? How to apply? Please find all information below.
The event is head-organised by Wojtek Keblowski and presided over by Sasha Mazur.

The new, innovative session concept
- First of all, there is no usual emphasis on individual committee allocation. Instead, we perceive all session participants as one big beautiful group.

- This means that during the Teambuilding delegates and officials are hardly divided into any groups: we play, sing, think and have fun together as much as possible. Only at some point we split into smaller groups, so that we can get to now better those with whom we will be working in the Committee Work.

- During the Committee Work each delegate is a member of two “discussion groups” (similar to familiar “committees”); they switch from one group to the other one in shifts. There is one fixed chairperson in each discussion group, whereas others freely switch from one group to another.

- The General Assembly is divided into three parts. Part one is not about presenting finished resolutions, rather drafts that are first discussed by the assembly, whose task is to propose amendments to the draft. In part two, all groups have certain time to improve their draft in a discussion a la Committee Work facilitated by chairs. In part three, the draft, now potentially changed and improved, is presented to the assembly, discussed and finally voted over.

As a delegate…

… you meet more people and get to know them much better; you work with more delegates that would usually be members of those “other”, unavailable committees
… you are involved in two entirely different, exciting discussions … you meet all officials, and experience various chairing styles
… you can improve the content of each resolution discussed at the GA
As a chair…
… you meet and teambuild all delegates and officials
… you have a chance to co-chair with anyone you like to, you can observe other chairs in action and share with them
… you participate in one part of the General Assembly, and therefore you are more motivated to keep track of the GA
As a journo…
… you easily meet all session participants
… you can actively participate in both officials? and delegates? teambuilding
… you have an amazing opportunity to capture the creative atmosphere of the event in your articles and pictures

Who is invited?
You are! No matter how experienced you are. We invite both EYP veterans/addicts/freaks and less experienced EYPers, also complete newcomers. The session will gather around 50 delegates and 15 officials from all corners of Europe. So, it will be a truly international forum.

The event is held under the patronage of Lions Clubs International, the world?s largest NGO.

When?
4th – 7th March 2010. However, journalists and chairperson are asked to arrive on the 2nd March in the afternoon/evening, since we begin early in the morning of the of 3rd March with a day-long CJO?s Teambuilding.

Where?
The lovely city of Wroc?aw, Poland?s most favourite city.

How to apply?
Please find the application forms along with session infosheet attached to this message. If they are not there, go here and download a set necessary documents from our website.

Yours,
