As with a lot of my old shots, I wish I did a better job framing this one. It's not bad but I wish I would have been a little closer to the 'tunnel.'

Low Tide

Savannah has one of the most drastic tide changes that I've seen. At anywhere between 6-10 feet, the tide causes the beach at Tybee, specifically the south end, to have these ripples in the sand which make for some interesting pictures.

I've been a little slack lately with updating pictures. I'm still at one a day but I've been sometime posting two close together in order to continue the daily updates. After reading and watching some of <a href="http://www.chromasia.com/" title="Chromasia">David Nightingale's</a> latest <a href="http://www.chromasia.com/tutorials/online/" title="Chromasia.com Tutorials">tutorials</a>, I'm reinvigorated so I'm going to try to stay more on top of this site and really push my editing.

I tried a few different crops of this shot but ultimately went back to the original non-cropped version. Sure it is completely black in the lower third but that's what I also like about.

If you can't tell by the title, this shot immediately looked prehistoric. The rocky shore with the distant hills and palms tree makes me think there is a dinosaur hidden somewhere in there.

In the Shallows

I've decided that I'm done with cruises for a while (well unless someone wants to take me one). They are certainly fun but I've never been very impressed with most the Caribbean islands I've visited. I also like spending some actual time in the place I visit and with cruises, they just don't give you that time.

The thing that caught my eye with this shot is just how dramatic it looks. Technically it's really not that great of a picture at all but it seems to set a mood that made me want to post it.
