Nike Launches the “Air Max Hunt” in San Francisco and New York

Nike gears up for Summer with a campaign involving some reinterpreted Engineered Mesh Air Max styles as part of its limited-edition Sunset pack. To add to the excitement and set fans on a literal run for their dollars, Nike will be introducing them as part of an event, no doubt inspired by the success of their previous Easter Hunt Campaign. Taking place in both San Francisco and New York, the “Air Max Hunt” will begin on Thursday morning, May 23, opening up opportunities for determined participants to go home with limited-edition packs later in the evening. Guiding the contestants will be none other than San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire, who will release five clues revealing key locations in their cities on both Twitter and Instagram. In Patrick Ewing’s post adidas career, the low post Knicks legend created his own sneaker label, which churned out several silhouettes over the years. The beloved label returned late last year with the release of the 33 Hi. Next up for the Ewing Athletics is the return of the Focus. The kicks are destined to release in several colorways that include this black, white, red and grey edition. The leather built kicks are expected to release over the Summer.

The 996 looks to follow in the 574′s footsteps as New Balance has hooked it up with RevLite technology. What this means for the 996 is a lighter overall sneaker and more comfortable fit. The collab pairs of the UNDFTD x Nike Dunk High handed out eleven years ago are back again, this time ending up much more accessible thanks to the actual retail release that’s in the works. In case you need a little refresher on their history: the Nike Dunk High “Ballistic” was originally a celebration shoe for the UNDFTD crew commemorating the opening of their second storefront. That look is getting brought back as well as transferred over, with the Nike Hyperdunk 2012 grabbing at the olive and black combination. Remember that these will be in stores this Saturday, May 25th.
