This Print to absolutely love is the Chevron Print. Chevron print is the hottest new look. It is the best print to make you look slender and sexy! Black and white is the classic. I am a big fan of it and can't wait to rock it this season! It is fun as well as easy to accessorize with any bag, shoe and jewelry.

The print for a dress is usually short to the knee and very 1960-ish. it sets off a stylish look even on a printed bag shown below.

The chevron print is great in a blouse becuse you can wear it with any color bottom and still look Fabulous.

The chevron print is also great to pair with a sold color infinity scarf as a neck accessory or a belt.

So however or whatever you are wearing in this chevron or Zigzag or wavy print, Rock out in style. This print will make you not only look sexy but feel sexy as well!!

Spring Handbags!

Drinking my morning coffee at the computer this morning I could not think of what to wright about. Than it came to me. Handbags!! I have told you all about the clothing and accessories for Spring/Summer 2013 but i have not gotten to the handbags section of life, so here for your entertainment pleasures I will report t you and let you know what's trendy in the bags department.

Every girl needs a bag to throw all her important items in and take with her. I personally go out with a big bag considering I no longer use a diaper bag right now for my son. Still i need his diapers and wipes, but there is where he comes in. Book bag central for Jayden's needs and I can look stylish again with the luggage I carry.

I cannot tell you how important it is to have a fashion bag just like it is to have pants on before you leave your house. Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has definitely sprung!! I think it is safe to say, we are done with the ice cold weather; and thank God, because my spring wardrobe is waiting patiently to be worn!! A few things that we already started to notice are the trends that have been hot in the past but are now being used in deferent ways!! here are a few trends that are hot right now!

Trend Setter #1: Color Blocking w/ Bold Colors

Color blocking is when you take different solid colors –within and outside the same color families – and mix them together into one outfit. This trend can be trendy and chic or could totally backfire and look not so trendy and chic. Be carful how you but colors together. Some colors will work and some will not. Blues and greens will go but you need to look at the colors and see if they are bold enough to mix and match. We are always used to matching colors together and making sure they mesh well with each other but now you have the Bolds & brights that need to look great together too!

Here is an example of what this woman put together as Bold and Bright, but also Classy. Navy Suit Jacket with Bright Pink shirt under, and Tan colored pants, she also added the same color necklace to match the Jacket and a mustard clutch with Black shoes. She didn’t go crazy she went simple but sophisticated.

We also show the very trendy Sarah Jessica Parker in her Brights and Bold Colors. Bright Reds an Bold Pinks also go together, and as always she looks FABULOUS!

Trend Setter #2:Flirty Florals

Floral prints I love because when I am wearing something floral I feel so beautiful. They are a classy look as well. Lilly Pulitzer introduced us to the floral pattern back in the 1960‘s and 1970‘s with clients such as CZ Guest and Jacqueline Kennedy. Jacqueline Kennedy wore one of her Floral print dress for her photo shoot for Time Life and of corse she looked Gorgeous as she always did.

Trendsetter #4: Stripes

Everyone seems to like the Anchor stripes look. You all have at least on garment with stripes on it, pants, shirts, tees whatever it is you all own at least one of these. There are nothing wrong with stripes, you just have to know how, when and what to wear with them! I personally have a striped long skirt that is my favorite piece to wear for spring/summer with my flip flops and tank I can dress for a beach night out or change it up to wear my platform sandals and throw a thin jacket over to make it a little dresser. To Trench or Not to Trench?

To Trench or Not to Trench, that is the question. Why do we wear trench Coats anyway? A lot of woman (and men), thinkTrench coats are for just rain, not anymore! You can put together an outfit with a trench even if it’s not raining outside!! The colors are endless. Black and Tan are the simple colors that will always be a part of every woman’s wardrobe, but did you see the Lilac and Peach colors New York and Company have. I was just n there the other day and wanted every color on the rack. Perfect for the April Showers weather and Perfect for the walking in London Look, considering I heard London is forever Raining.....whatever the weather, take that look and make it your own!!! I do own a tan trench from H&M And Love it, has a beautiful lining that is also a little heave so I am not cold in the rain, but I do love the material and look of it as well. Whether or not you are wearing your trench for the rain, spring, or just in bed to make your mate wonder what is under, you must still look stylish! try to get away from the normal blacks, and tans. put some color in your wonder....and give that rain a taste of what you can bring to the office!!

Hello Spring!!! This year for Spring/Summer 2013, all we are seeing on the runway is the beautiful pastel colors of Mint, Coral, Whites, and Ivories, and of corse as we always see Black!! The Color scheme seems to be more of the minty color though!! We may also see some Lavender, yellows, and bright bold oranges, and greens!! Here is an example of just what I am talking about if you are living under a rock, than this blog is perfect for you...I put together on this first image just some of the accessories we will be seeing this spring in the mint family!! We of corse will have more colors and varieties of many other different things to look at and purchase, but to me the mint is the best looking!!

Also, The big and Bold accessories are back as well. City Girl Designs Boutique has so much to offer with so many vibrant colors. Classic Vs. Now

Ok, So now that you know a little bit about who I am and how I got started let me take you on a journey to what Fashion is!!!

Fashion is a way of life, for most people. in the real world of Fashion, not the runway, we see woman (and men), of all different shapes and sizes. Why don’t we see REAL woman walking the runways on Fashion week?? Good question. I love fashion week and seeing what’s going to come out for the latest season, but a real woman who is a size 10 or 12 does not want to see a model walking on the runway who needs to eat a 7 corse meal in one sitting. A real woman is in deed a size 10, or 12. Marilyn Monroe’s measurements were as follows:

Height: 5 feet, 5½ inches

Weight: 118-140 pounds

Bust: 35-37 inches

Waist: 22-23 inches

Hips: 35-36 inches

Bra size: 36D

These measurements were from her dress maker so they could not have been wrong. No woman wants to go around a flaunting their sizes and measurements around the internet but seriously folks. Not every woman is a size 0.

I am a big fan of Audrey Hepburn and her measurements were: Height: 5 feet, 7 inches Weight: 110 pounds Measurements: 32-20-35

Ok so we have variations of what a classic woman should look like, but I am 5’0 feet tall and I don’t think i would look good has a size 0. I like to eat and that’s who I am. I will not be walking on the next Fashion week runway, and I am ok with that. Society says we should eat this, or be this size, and wear this , but what about how WE feel? Why can’t I go and have ice cream and not feel like i should throw up after? So what I am a size 10, 12 or bigger, as long s i am happy with who I am who has the right to tell real woman what size they should be? No ONE!!
