If you’re a frequent listener of For Faith & Family, you may remember our friend Ergun Caner from our past programs about Islam. Ergun was raised as a Sunni Muslim here in the US and converted to Christianity as a youth. Dr. Caner is a former student of Dr. Land’s and is currently the Dean of the Liberty Theological Seminary.

Ergun is here today to talk about his book, Why Churches Die. He says, “This is the purpose of this work. To identify the diseases that besiege local churches, excise the poisons, and bring church back to the biblical model… joyous and encouraging.” (p. 2)

Dr. Caner has a passion for sharing the gospel with people of other faiths. In fact, he spends much of his time debating Muslim, Buddhist and Hindi scholars. He’ll help us take a closer look at how we can learn to better communicate our faith to these people groups.

The role of father is a high calling ordained by God. It is the picture He has given us in His word of the way that He relates to us and the way that we relate to him. Today the role of father is under attack not only from our culture but from the very enemy of our souls. Today’s guest tells us why this role is so crucial to the building up of strong leaders for the Kingdom of God.

Today our special guest is Tim Doyle, director of The Joseph Resource Group which specializes in ministering to men and their families. He joins us today to help us understand why fathers are so very important to the building up of strong men and women to lead the Church of Christ.

I so appreciated what Tim Doyle had to say about the importance of building up men for the kingdom of God. Men do have such a pivotal role in our society. Touch the man and you touch the family. Win the man and you benefit the entire family. Lose the man and the entire family is affected. Let’s all agree that we will work together to win the men, and thereby win the family for Christ and His kingdom.

</itunes:summary>
