What is online child abuse?

Online child abuse includes:

making and downloading images of children being sexually abused; and

approaching a child online for sex. This could be sex online (e.g. sexual activity via text or webcam) or sex offline (e.g. grooming a child online for the purpose of meeting up for sex in the "real" world).

FamilyCPU will always provide independent and critical analysis of safe computing software and online services. FamilyCPU is not a service established to put other safe computing entities out of business or take attention away from them. On the contrary, FamilyCPU was established with the hopes of shedding light on existing services and solutions and to help connect parents everywhere with those services and solutions. I hope you come to think of FamilyCPU as a beacon for safe family computing.

FamilyCPU will also offer low cost paid services as a last resort for parents who truly don't have time to monitor their family computer. Why do I write "last resort?" The most effective way to safeguard your family and family assets is through personal involvement not through a third party solution like my paid services. My "last resort" solution however is better than no solution at all.
