Star Trek - Horizon is a feature-length fan film made by a single filmmaker as a personal passion project and love letter to Enterprise, the fifth Star Trek series. Pre-production began in December of 2012 and this 3-year-long odyssey concluded on February 25th, 2016. It's been a long road, getting from there to here.

The Coalition of Planets, a young alliance of worlds led by Earth, is at war with the Romulan Empire. Desperate for a chance to gain the upper hand in the war, the Coalition forms an alliance with T'mar, a Romulan deserter, in the hopes that she can provide valuable intelligence on her former masters.

This episode was directed by J.T. Ealum, edited by Thomas Scott & Randall Landers. It features music and sound by Steve Gallant, and special effects by Jon Carling, with Rick Foxx, Bob Reed, Sean Scullion. The episode was produced by Ricky Thompson and Van Buchanan. The script was written by Randall Landers, who also served as executive producer.

The story begins with Captain Calvin Mercer being called into the office of Admiral Hernadez office and asked to take on a secret mission before he finds out what it is. Bored with his ground assignments Mercer accepts. The mission that he chose to accept involves taking the refurbished Enterprise to the edge of known space and brokering a treaty with an alien race that has developed a new fuel that promises to revolutionize space travel. What seems like a straight forward mission involving first contact with a strange new world and new civilization quickly turns into something much more complicated with sinister overtones and hints of betrayal from within Star Fleet, or...someone else.

Originally a two-part story draft for the Star Trek: Phase II TV series in 1977, it was rewritten into a one-part episode for this production. A good deal of the episode takes place on Qo’nos, the Klingon homeworld: which was shot on location at Fort Ticonderoga, New York, and at a local restaurant. Members of the International Klingon Federation helped out with the location shoots.

SG-2's Dr. Grant has discovered a previously unknown form of writing and text, in a temple abandoned long ago on Earth. This text was found to be written by beings who lived during the time of the Ancients, the original gate builders. They were a sophisticated race, whose technology was parallel to that of the Ancients.

These two races seemed to have shared technology. However, this unknown race mysteriously vanished before the Ancients left our galaxy and headed for Pegasus.
