The primary way you'll increase your city's prosperity is through building factories and then assigning various contracts to them. There is a limit on how many factories you are able to have in your city depending on your population (more people = more factories). Each factory in turn is allowed to work on one contract at a time -- for example, you might have one factory producing prom dresses for twenty minutes and another churning out 'hit parade' CDs for a full twenty-four hours. Once the contract is completed, you'll have to come back to collect the profits (they expire after a period of time relative to how long it took to manufacture the product -- yup, just like you learned in Farmville and Cafe World), clean up the factory, then select a new contract to work on.

2. Build Residential Areas To Increase Your Population

To increase your city's population, you need to build cottages, apartment complexes, hotels and more to 'generate' people. Like factory contracts, each building will produce a certain number of citizens in a certain length of time. Small cottages will produce only a handful of people but in a very short amount of time, while apartment complexes (which you'll have to wait to unlock at Level 17) generate one thousand people in twenty-four hours. When the building has finished producing people, you'll have to click on the house to add them to your population.

3. Build Leisure Buildings To Increase Your Population Cap

People need more than just factories and homes in a city -- the third type of building you'll acquire in Social City are 'leisure' buildings. These range from burger joints and schools to tennis courts and pizzerias. There is no 'timed' element to leisure buildings - once you've built them, they'll raise your population cap permanently (although you will need to click on them to 'clean' them up every once in a while). They don't generate money, but they're still an important part of your city that you'll need to invest money into in order to increase the number of people who can live there.

4. Balance The Types Of Buildings You Own

Factories, homes and leisure buildings rely on each other in order for your city to grow as a whole. Make sure you strike a good balance between them in order to quickly increase your city's population and economy. The cycle works like this: leisure buildings increase the population cap, residential buildings increase the factory cap, and factories generate the money needed to build leisure buildings.

5. Watch The Clock

Like other games where you have to wait for certain items to mature before you're able to collect the money and experience points they offer, being able to manage your time is key. Instead of just picking contracts that will earn you the most money or homes that will net you the most population, take a look at how long each will take. Buildings that generate a small number of people or small amount of money but do it quickly and cheaply may be worth investing in even if they don't seem like they're worth much. Just make sure you check back in time to 'harvest' the profit.

6. And Lastly, Play With Friends

As is the norm in Facebook games, having friends who also play Social City gives you a leg up on earning money. 1. Once the game loads completely, you will be taken to the Ramsey Manor where you will solve your first scene. Like other Zynga games, Energy plays an important role here. It is essential because it will allow you to enter hidden object scenes. Zero energy means no entry, even though you have unlocked the scene. It gets replenished every 5 minutes. You can also send or receive energy from your friends. To get more energy, you can visit your Facebook friends manor or after leveling up.

2. To get more points, check the clue list at the bottom of the screen and glance over the scene to spot objects. This way you can click on the items much quicker and earn a combo. You can also take advantage of the hint system (magnifying glass plus other hints yet to be unlocked by developers) to increase your chances to unlock a combo.

3. Once you’ve solved the first scene (tutorial), you will be taken to a secret room located behind the library. It is actually a rare artifact room. This room houses strange artifacts that can only be accessed by a Guardian (your uncle was a guardian and you’re a guardian too. Guardians have the power to peek into the history of an artifact he/she touches.

4. Many a times you will find certain clues appear in blue color in any scene. These are “super clues” and require more than one task to complete. This means you will have to do additional tasks instead of just finding the item. For example if a super clue says “Light the Candle”. You will have to find and click on the match box first and then click on the candle to complete the task and earn points.

5. You can click on the magnifying glass to get a hint. A small halo highlights the area where the object is kept hidden.

6. To play bonus mini-games, you will have to find all objects quickly. They are available in select scenes and can be unlocked as a bonus once you’ve found all objects quickly. Mini-games range from challenging jigsaw puzzles or finding a certain number of coins to get more points. They are very short fun games and should not be confused with other mini games like spot the differences and Fast Find.

7. Along with the hidden object puzzles, there plenty of additional mini games to play. As of now, there are three mini games: Bonus Challenge, Fast Find and Find the Difference. Of these Fast Find has some social elements infused to it. In this mini game, you can invite your FB friends to a hidden object challenge.

Pretty much every bell and whistle that has been invented for Tetris is absent in this lightweight variant, including Combos, the Hold Queue and Ghost Piece. The only way to really rack up points is with Tetrises, which are worth big points in this pared-down Tetris game. There's no end to N-Blox, so take your time; just be aware that the game will go up in level (and thus go faster) after every 10 lines cleared.

• Throw most of your advanced techniques out the window. It’s just you and the Tetrimino, so you better know how to maneuver it correctly.

• Lock Downs are not immediate, but the time you have to manipulate a Tetrimino once it lands is not as long as in other variants. You can move the Tetrimino around for only a quick moment after it lands.

• Tetrises are worth big points, but the lack of a Hold Queue and even Combo bonuses make waiting for back-to-back Tetrises a waste of time.

• Soft Drop and Hard Drops aren't worth extra points, but you still earn points for every line a Tetrimino drops. Over a long period of time, you'll scrape up a few extra points by keeping your Matrix low and letting each Tetrimino fall as far as possible.

Don't worry about the latter two at first: new characters don't offer any benefits and the game's range of wallpapers don't provide any advantages.

Instead, first focus on upgrading your 'coin magnet' and 'coin value' skills - both of which will result in your earning more moolah every time you play. The invisibility power-up is also worth spending some cash on.

Furthermore, the boost power-up is worthy of your attention. This sends Temple Run into auto-pilot mode, meaning you only have to worry about tilting your device to collect coins.

The bonus round doesn’t end (until you Block Out), but you’ll be treated to the tough challenge of Matrix occasionally going blank as you play.

• Know your controls like the back of your hand. When you get to the Bonus Round, you’ll want concentrate solely on what the Matrix looks like and what pieces are falling.

• Use T-Spins to maximize the number of points you get per level, especially T-Spin Doubles, which are worth more than Tetrises.

• Know when I-Tetriminos and T-Tetriminos are coming by keeping an eye on the Next Queue, allowing you to prepare for big moves and high-value combos.

• Tetriminos don’t lock down until they stop moving. Keep a piece "alive" by quickly spinning it or sliding it left and right.

The two variants of Sprint play pretty much the same–be the first to clear 40 lines either against the clock or against four opponents. But while the rules may be nearly identical, the game takes on additional challenge in the heat of competition. Tetrises are the name of the game in Sprint; knock down 10 of them in a hurry and walk away a winner. The means you have to stay in control–the process of setting up a Tetris is particularly vulnerable to a misplaced piece.

• Line up Tetrises as quickly as possible, particularly via Hard Drops. There’s no use in waiting for double Tetrises or other special combos, as points are not a factor.

• Time is of the essence, so the fewer times you spin a Tetrimino, the faster you’ll go. That means being able to spin them both clockwise and counter-clockwise proficiently.

• If you have only one or two lines remaining, don’t continue blindly to try to get a Tetris. Clear the last few lines by whatever means possible, including Hard Dropping until the right Tetrimino falls.

The Tetris
The scoring system in Tetris rewards clearing more than one line at a time. Clearing two lines is worth more than double the points for clearing one line. So clearing four lines at a time, known as getting a Tetris, is worth a tremendous amount of points, and is one of the most important strategic concepts to know.

Leave a one-square-wide gap on the side of the Matrix to prepare for a Tetris. Build up Tetriminos on the opposite side of the gap to avoid blocking the gap. Don’t drop the I-Tetrimino into the gap until you have at least four complete lines built up in your stack.

Tip: The I-Tetrimino is the only one that will clear four lines at once, making them extremely valuable; you want to be ready for when one appears. The best thing to do is build up a stack of Tetriminos, leaving one column on either the far left or far right side open. Concentrate on not leaving any gaps in the stack. You can let this stack grow and grow while you wait, because once you nail a Tetris the stack will shrink considerably. Be careful, though—leave one misplaced block over that long open gap and you’re in big trouble!

Moving the Tetriminos
Using the arrow keys, you can adjust where and how the Tetriminos fall. By pressing the LEFT and RIGHT Arrow keys, you can slide the falling Tetrimino from side to side. You can’t slide a Tetrimino past the edge of the Matrix. By pressing the UP Arrow key, you can rotate the Tetrimino 90 degrees clockwise. You can move the Tetriminos even after they Lock Down at the bottom of the Matrix briefly. The Tetrimino will Lock Down as soon as you stop trying to move it. At that point, the next Tetrimino will begin to fall.

Tip: At slower speeds it won’t matter much which way you turn the Tetrimino. But when the action heats up, the precious time it takes to make three rotations clockwise or once counterclockwise will make a huge difference.

Hard Drop and Soft Drop
As your game improves and you begin to pay attention to the Tetriminos in your Next Queue, you might find yourself getting a little impatient waiting for the piece to fall. You have two options to speed up the game—the Soft Drop and the Hard Drop—and they’re both really easy to do.

The Soft Drop is performed by pressing the DOWN Arrow key—the Tetrimino will fall much faster than usual while you hold down the key, but as soon as you let go the piece will resume its normal pace. You retain complete control over the piece while doing a Soft Drop.

The Hard Drop is much less forgiving—hit the Space Bar to cause the Tetrimino to fall straight down, forgoing any further opportunity to move it. The Hard Drop is great for timed games where your goal is to get pieces into position as quickly as possible. Pay attention to the Ghost Piece to help you see where the Tetrimino will fall, and don’t press the space bar until you’re ready!

As the T-Tetrimino falls, turn it so that it is upright and so the cross of the T faces away from the overhanging block above the T-Slot. As the Tetrimino comes to rest inside the T-Slot, turn it toward the open space under the block.

Tip: You receive plenty of points for executing T-Spins, but the real bonuses come when you can pull them off and clear one or two lines at the same time (moves called T-Spin singles and T-Spin doubles).

B2B (Back-to-back)
Pulling off Back-to-Back moves of the same kind are worth more than doing two of those moves individually. For example, A T-Spin Single will send two penalty lines; if you pull off another T-Spin single immediately after the first one, it’s worth three penalty lines. Stack up big moves for additional damage.
Perfect Clear
After beginning a game, if you manage to clear your entire Matrix of blocks you’ll score 10 penalty lines. Fair warning: this is a lot tougher than it sounds!
T-Spin Mini
Perform a T-Spin mini by creating a three-Mino-wide flat area with one block overhanging it. Drop the T-Tetrimino next to the overhanging Mino, then spin it at the last moment so it comes to rest with the T-side facing down.

Tetris Tips: Battle 2P Overview

The two Battle variants give you the opportunity to taste Tetris combat against formidable foes. In Battle 2P, you’ll face off against one other opponent; in Battle 6P, you’ll take on five opponents at a time. Clear multiple lines and perform big moves and combos to force your opponents to the brink. When you take on tough opponents in the Battle games, you better have an understanding of all of your weapons: T-Spins, Tetrises, and Combos are all valuable tools.

When you perform these moves in Battle 2P, you’ll send penalty lines to your only foe; in Battle 6P, a target will move randomly from opponent to the next, making it difficult (but not impossible!) to attack a specific opponent. The number of lines you send depends on the quality of the move you just performed; check out the chart below to discover the best ways to attack your opponents.

When you send penalty lines to your opponent (or when an opponent throws some your way) there is a slight delay before the lines get added to your Matrix. This brief window is an opportunity for the player to cancel out some of the penalty lines via special moves. For example, if you’re about to get hit with three penalty lines, performing a Tetris will prevent that from happening. In addition, since Tetrises are worth a total of four penalty lines, you’ll send the remaining penalty line back to your opponent!

• Let the game come to you: if you see opportunities for Tetrises, do them; if you see chances to pull of T-Spins, do them. Don’t get trapped into one style.

• Perform Combos with caution: they can be devastating to your opponent, but setting them up can fill up your Matrix and leave you vulnerable to a swift attack.

• Clearing lines quickly is always a good defense. If you find yourself against the ropes, clear lines as quickly as possible—you may even luck into a few Combos while you’re at it.

• Get a head start with Maps in Battle 6P. You can choose to start the game with pre-arranged blocks to mix up the action.

You might also try opening up the Windows Explorer.

Go to Tools / Folder Options / File Types
Scroll down to the file Extension want to change
Click on the Advanced button
Check Confirm after download

When you try and download a .EXE file with Internet Explorer, you are prompted to "Always ask before opening this type of file".

If you uncheck this box, the next time a EXE file is about to be downloaded, you will not be prompted and the file will automatically be opened.

You also do not see the "Always ask..." box again so you can uncheck it.
To reset Internet Explorer back again:

Start Regedit
Go to Hkey_Classes_Root \ exefile
Change the EditFlags value from d8 07 01 00 to d8 07 00 00

Advanced Power Ups:

Once you master the basics, you need to make sure you start using the gold coins to upgrade your power-ups.
Start with upgrading the magnet. A fully upgraded magnet not only lasts longer, but it also triples the value of gold coins. This means you’ll be collecting all the gold coins in your way and also racking up points from the triple valued gold coins.
Upgrade the coin values next. This means that you’ll have a better chance of getting double value coins after 1000m and triple value coins after 2000m.
After that I suggest upgrading invisibility and boost. These will basically increase the amount of time the power-ups will last.
Finally, upgrade the Mega Coin. It will only increase the number of gold coins by 50 but it’s something to use your gold coins on once you have everything.
Get some angel wings as this will help you resurrect once you’re dead. The power lasts only 30 seconds after you’ve activated it. You can use another angel wing after another 1000 m.

Temple Run Tips: The Spartan Objective

To get the Spartan objective, which is described as getting to 1 million points without using any power-ups, ensure you don't collect any power-ups (obviously) or use any resurrections.

Once you hit 1 million points, you can simply kill yourself to get the achievement.

If you use power-ups after 1 million points, it will not give you the achievement, so be sure to die, or kill yourself, as soon as possible after you hit the target score.
