I just have to post this one! I'm so proud of Niccolo Cosme (who wouldn't, right?)! Honestly, I'm very privileged to meet him the first time and sooo honored to one of his friends *big grin*.

Niccolo Cosme is a very talented artist! I've always looked up to him even before I met him. I've always been a fan of his photography. I first encountered his name when my brother participated in his Head Shot Clinic last 2008 (I think). Then, I was so stunned by his presence when I saw him the first time during our HIV Prevention Revolution. *Major OMG to the highest level*

I'm just so sad that I skipped the last Head Shot Clinic because I had to go to my regular pre-natal checkup. I'm still hoping that I'll be part of the many HSC projects in the future hehe :P

So, let's get to the point of this post. I would like to share with you Nic's interview on Camera Geek TV :) Did you know that Head Shot Clinic started because of a request for a Facebook profile picture? I got that from this video :) Watch the rest below.

Hurray to Nic! I hope his advocacies (both on AIDS and HIV as well as responsible photography) will continue to inspire other photographers like him!

Hahaha! Another faker! I actually saw this photo yesterday through Facebook and I just can't help but laugh and remember my post about Jinkee Pacquiao's fake beauty on MEGA Magazine's cover :)) What's wrong with these ladies? I mean, I know this is a magazine cover but the message they portray is just so wrong, so polluted and so fake!

First things first, I don't like KC Concepcion and if she's reading this she won't like me either >:) I know she's the "MEGA" daughter but I've been really hearing a lot about her bad attitude hiding behind that pretty face. I know I shouldn't just believe what people say but these people that I'm talking to are people that she has worked with.

Next agenda, the awkward pose. Let's face it! KC does not have the perfect body. Although I admire her confidence in posing like this, I just feel that she's one of those girls on Friendster (from way back) who take a shot of themselves showing off their "packages" or legs just to look sexy and eventually ATTRACT BOYS. I just don't like the idea. Though she has a nice "behind" (and it's pretty obvious that this is the only thing that she can boast), the cover just does not amaze me at all.

Now, I saw this photo (again via Facebook) and IT SAYS IT ALL! I don't really need to explain much. Just take a look at the photo below and it's basically what I think about this photo.

Zoom in your screen because you'll have a good laugh with the notes in this photo haha!

In the news, they're saying that this cover looks so classy and hot. I beg to disagree :P Classy in a way that "hey, it's so medieval that she's holding a human head!" Eeeeeew!

On another note, this can be her message to her ex-boyfriend, Piolo Pascual. :)) OH, HOW I LOVE SHOWBIZ!

It's been a while since I posted a makeup tutorial here. Let me show you what I looked like yesterday.

My mom celebrated her birthday yesterday and we had dinner at Mann Hann/Mannang at SM Megamall. It was a fun and yummy experience for us. I was with my hubby and mommy was with my brother :) I was actually hesitating to wear makeup but my husband encouraged me to treat myself and put makeup on since I'm on my 9th month of pregnancy already. He told me "I think it won't hurt our baby anymore." And with a little encouragement from my ever-supportive and ever-loving husband I did a natural daytime look.

Here's another contest that I want to share to everybody. What's up with me these days? I noticed that I've been posting a lot of beauty contests online lately. Hahaha! Have you read the Bobbi Brown contest I blogged last day? Now, here's another one from Avon Philippines!

I am actually blogging this because I am also joining this contest haha! Just trying my preggy luck :P LOL

Well, honestly, I really want to try these products and make a review about them too. You all know that I am a freelance makeup artist but hair styling is definitely my weakness. Honestly, I don't have that much patience with hair styling. My hair is unmanageable! My real hair (what I mean by real hair is my natural-born hair. I kinda have my hair treated before and curled and dyed it) is straight and whenever I style it I just get so disappointed. Whenever I'm trying to pull it upwards it keeps on falling. I don't know how to blow dry my own hair and I know that's something that I need to work out on.

I'm doing my best in learning hair styling through people I know and through tutorials available online ;) This year, once I'm ready for makeup gigs again, I'm planning to do both hair and makeup services.

Last day I was lurking around the web and, this is no joke, I visited Avon's website and looked for their online brochure. I want to see what's new and then I'm planning to order something (either makeup or hair styling products) then I saw this Avon Style Specialist. What really caught my attention is their chic design. You know I'm a sucker for anything pink! And because I'm trying to learn hair styling, I want to use these products (simply because I find them cute ^_^).

The photo above basically shows the basic things that I need for my hair kit arsenal. There's the blow dryer, the iron curler, a flat iron and some combs. I actually want to try all of them! Whether I win this contest or not, I will definitely buy all of these items for my hair styling kit :)

OH GEE! Posting stuff about beauty and makeup makes me miss my makeup gigs more! I wish I can apply makeup soon and go to makeup gigs again!

I haven't really tried any beauty tools from Avon before. This will probably my first. I usually buy makeup products from Avon. I love their lipsticks and the Ideal Shade Loose Powder (Perfect!).

FASHION: Bench Summer 2012

I've been working on a BENCH-related project since yesterday and it made me check out their Summer 2012 posters :)

As you can see, Angelica Panganiban is looking so hot with that old Hollywood look ;) Love the photography and her makeup up there :)

This is the ever-so-gorgeous Sarah Lahbati and Janine Gutierrez. Both are young and pretty though Sarah's makeup looked so intense here. Is it just me? LOL. Moving on...

Papa Aljur Abrenica of course looks so handsome in this poster. I love the top but unfortunately this is not my husband's style so I guess I have to look for another Bench top for him :P

Coco Martin with a simple Bench shirt. I think my hubby will love this though he's really into white shirts.

Of course, Richard Gutierrez for Bench. What I love about this shirt is that it's stating something that I really advocate for! Live Green!

I guess we all have to head to the nearest Bench store in our respective places so we can check out the entire Bench Summer 2012 collection. I just wish that the branch near my place will have that Coco Martin shirt. I want to see in person. I will buy it for my hubby because he's been so good to me and to our baby :) Dear, I love you! (naks!)

LIFESTYLE: Turn your closet into an office

I know this post can be a bit weird but if you're open with the idea of making an office out of your closet then you'll be in good hands.

I am an organized chick. I organize everything from my pens, makeup brushes, clothes, etc. I like this idea that I got from the net and I want to share it with you. This idea is perfect for those of you who have little space at home but needs an office space.

Basically, all you have to do is to clean out your spare closet. This won't work if you only have one closet at home or if you really want to try this idea you may do so just make sure that you'll have an organized way of arranging your clothes and accessories without a closet. You may need some help from your boyfriend or a carpenter in putting shelves and a desk in your closet as shown in the photo above.

As for the doors of the closet, you may hang a cork board for your notes or some hooks where you can hang some ID laces or anything that you want to hang. You may also put some baskets using those hooks, where you can store your pens, rulers or markers.

The organizing part doesn't stop there. You have to make sure that you'll have some file organizers where you'll put your papers. It's ideal that to use a laptop in this kind of working area to save space. It's up to you if you like to paint your corner white or you can play around with hues that you think will work well for you. As for the lights, you can use dim lights or the bright ones, whichever you like. The key here is to save space. Don't add huge lamps. You may be required to buy some "cute" stuff. Cute means small things that can be a replacement to your lamp shade, fan, or whatever electronic stuff that you usually use in your working area.

MY ADVICE: Don't put too much stuff, especially those that is not necessary, in this area. You have to make sure that your working area is neat and always organized so you always feel happy and comfortable working :)

I had a hard time guessing who made it to the cover. That only shows how I should applaud the one who edited her photo. I don't have anything against her too. I'm also her fan but I'm just not an advocate of fake beauty. With fake beauty I mean too much editing. I feel like what's the point of capturing someone's face using the lens if you're going to make them look like a different person (unless they're your inspiration for a cartoon show maybe). I hope you get my point.

I'm so disappointed but they both look great in these covers though. So there you go! What do you think about these covers?

Y'all know that I can't apply makeup that much (just following OB orders) but I want to share a New Year's makeup look with you :) Last night was my sister-in-law's birthday (Yes! Her birthday was in the middle of firework displays) so I gave her my special gift - my makeup application talent hehe :P

This is how she looked before I put on some makeup on her:

Despite the demand for shimmery eye makeup on New Year's eve, I decided to apply a natural look on Ate. This look is perfect for her birthday date with her boyfriend or just hanging out with her friends.

This is the "BEFORE and AFTER" shot. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Portfolio: Mom's Gym Christmas Party

Well, hello there Fashionistas! I'm back with another update on my makeup portfolio. This is actually a late post. I was asking for some copies of my mom's Christmas Party at the gym she's enrolled to and I just got a hold of them so here I am blogging about it :)

I can say that my mom is a health buff! Honestly, she has a more active lifestyle than I am (boo!) but that's alright. After my pregnancy, I will go with her to the gym to get my body back (yeah, you heard me talkin! I gained some weight and I need to lose some pounds).

So, the challenge was there's no challenge (hahaha). My mom told me that I should take care of her look that night. I decided to give her smokey eyes with a light lip color to give her that youthful glow. They're actually one of the dance contest participants in their party's program. So yeah, you go Mom!
