The name "Fremont" is derived from the movement that took place on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. It was the 1st paved street in Las Vegas and the 1st to welcome resorts and casinos where people would escape daily life and getaway - one of old Hollywood's biggest playgrounds.

a handful of apartment beauty shots- not mine, unfortunately!

I've arrived and settled into my new and amazing home! I'm lucky enough to have a beautiful apartment with my hilarious friends in the best location- 10 steps off campus; in the heart of the town.

My clippings of Justin Timberlake, Andy Warhol, Isabel Lucas, Lara Stone, The Beatles, and a few sprinklings of shoe and jewelry porn, have been placed around my desk; my Mr. Brainwash posters are slapped on the walls, my sophisticated gray comforter is incredibly comfy (makes sense) and I'm so happy to be back at school.

I'll get some good posts up soon- pinky swear!

I go back to school on Sunday, finally. Cannot even describe how thrilled I am to be heading back! I hope I'll be able to get some great outfit shots in this year... :)

I saw Eat, Pray, Love tonight and was unimpressed. The only commentary I have is: Liz loves her chambray (she wore it in the majority of the movie!), and JamesFrancoLet'sGetMarried.

What have I been doing in the past week or so? A whole lot of nothing. Practicing my creative cooking, wearing lace, zippers, and ruffles (what else is new?), admiring my new business cards, and compiling odd collages of myself thinking about myself. HA!

I've gotten to the point where I have so little to do (besides playing GodFinger and screwing around with my faulty external hard drive) that I put off the things I forgot to do last week. I remembered, and I'm getting it done! Go me!

I went to see Arcade Fire last week in NYC, on my last night there. The show was incredible, the crowd couldn't have been more fun, and the energy of the band is truly like nothing I've experienced before.

Oh, and Régine Chassagne's dress was the bomb. (What? This is a fashion website, not a music blog!) All silver sequins, all movement, all fantasticness. I couldn't take my eyes off of her- could've been the dress, could've been the tambourine/accordion/keyboard playing and impressive dancing. Whichev.

As I posted yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the eager campers at Fashion Camp NYC. It was so fun to get a chance to connect with the campers and the counselors and share our passions! You can see the video of me, as well as Katya Moorman and Daniel Saynt, speaking on the Virtual Fashion Camp website. I won't ruin the vid, but I'll just say I'm obviously better at writing than public speaking. Good thing I'm not planning on devoting my life to that... :)

I have fantastic news- I was invited to speak at Fashion Camp NYC this week! The camp seems like a great place for aspiring fashionistas, like many of you reading this and myself, to network and learn more about various facets of the industry. I'll be part of the Web Fashion Fest, and you'll be able to watch me speak to the campers live online via the Fashion Camp NYC website. You'll also be able to view all of the other speakers and have access to the rest of the website, including a chat room where you can ask questions and connect with others with similar interests. You can get access by visiting this page and clicking on "sign up."

my camp wasn't exactly focused on fashion...

Poke around the website for a little- you can see the weeks curriculum and the camp's blog! It's truly so cool that this is available for high schoolers...I sure would have adored this type of opportunity.
