A couple of days ago I went to the presentation of the new Hoegl shoe collection for Spring 2013. The inspiration for the new collection was St. Tropez, so the atmosphere was very French, including music, and the shoes very feminine and chic. If you haven't heard of Hoegl before, it is a high guality Austrian shoe brand, that puts emphasis on the classic women's shoes. Enjoy the pics!

The Young Designers Collective

The Young Designers Collective is an association of artists and designers based in New York City, who design for non-profit organizations to promote good will as well as gain exposure individually and for the cause we are working towards. Sponsored by SI Design and Consulting Inc, they provide young designers a platform that would have otherwise been difficult to build and gain recognition with on their own. In an ever-shrinking world, working together to achieve success has never been more important.

They allow for a free exchange of ideas and talents, thereby fostering the growth of artists and art in commercial design. They want to bring appreciation back to the artist behind the designer, to quality or handmade products, and to a more sustainable future. From design to production they believe in fair trade and source our materials with this in mind.

By “doing well by doing good” they connect their designers to non-profit organizations in order to create a favorable outcome for both parties. Both benefit from the high quality products designed to produce revenue for the organization and promote the designer’s name into a new or national market. With philanthropy and fashion hand in hand, they hope to further charitable works as well as bring new talent to light sooner than ever before.

With their recent donation to the Heart and Soul Charitable Fund, which was presented at their annual gala auction at Christie's Auction House and auctioned at Charity Buzz, they demonstrate our commitment to philanthropy and the part that art and design can play in facilitating a cause.

Their next project is a line of teen active wear and accessories for the Navigators USA, a national youth service organization started in Harlem in response to the discriminatory practices of the Boy Scouts of America. Now 45 chapters strong, the Navigators USA continues to grow rapidly across the country.They plan to launch the line this fall for release in Spring 2014.

Doesn't this sound amazing?! I really like this idea, and we definitely need something like this in Croatia as well. It's always great to support new, talented artists, especially when they have such kind hearts and want to help others. I look forward to seeing what they have planned next!

Henrietta Ludgate

Henrietta Ludgate showed the best and the most complete collection at the third and final night of Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb. The Scottish designer presented a beautiful, feminine collection that puts emphasis on the woman's silhouette. Thumbs up!

The main colors of my look for the last night were mustard and red. For some reason, I absolutely love the combination of these two colors. Hope you like it too :)

I have to say we didn't see almost anything impressive at the second night of Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb. The only collection that actually impressed me was the one by Negarin, a brand from London. The designer presented a wonderful collection, full of fun prints and colors, but also a lot of great classic coats. I definitely wouldn't mind owning some of the pieces from this collection :)

Toni Rico's retrospective collection was fun as usual, but the other designers were pretty boring in my opinion.

I wore my orange maxi skirt by Zara, combined with a cool PopCouture shirt, and Sway Chic wedges.

Moram reći da nismo vidjeli gotovo ništa impresivno drugu večer Dreft Fashion Weeka Zagreb. Jedina kolekcija koja me impresionirala bila je ona branda iz Londona, Negarin. Dizajnerica je predstavila divnu kolekciju, punu zabavnih printeva i boja, ali također i puno odličnih klasičnih kaputa. Definitivno ne bih imala ništa protiv da imam neke komade iz ove kolekcije :)

Another Dreft Fashion Week Zagreb started yesterday and the designers showed us their vision of Autumn/Winter 2013/2014. My favorite collections were the ones by Tramp in Disguise and Katrien van Hecke. Katrien's collection was very wearable and easygoing, mostly in earthy tones. On the other hand, the collection by Tramp in Disguise was full of bright colors, and prints inspired by Arabian nights. Here's the list of all the other designers that showed their collections last night: Krie Design, Zjena Glamocanin and Milena Rogulj.

I was wearing my new H&M pants, Jessica Simpson wedges and a purple blazer.

Festival style

The festival season has officially begun with Coachella, so I decided to do a post dedicated to festival style. Although we all love music, and obviously go to music festivals to enjoy music, we also want to look stylish and cool. For example, during huge festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza or Glastonbury, everybody is talking about what the celebrities wore. I feel like more people care about who wore what, than who played that day.

Obviously, we don't have huge festivals like these in Croatia. The closest thing we have is INmusic festival, that I attended last year (my posts about it here and here), and I will attend it this year as well. It's actually a great event, the atmosphere is beyond amazing, and this year a lot of different web sites have named it one of the most exciting music festivals in Europe. Sounds good, right?

I know it kinda seems crazy, but I'm already thinking about what I'm going to wear to this three-day event. I absolutely love all the festival style inspiration that's available on different web sites and online shops right now! I will definitely be wearing something rock chic and boho; these are the kind of looks that I personally love to wear, and the festivals are perfect for that.

Here are some of the looks and pieces that I think would be amazing for attending festivals.

Sezona festivala je službeno započela sa Coachellom, pa sam odlučila napraviti post posvećen festivalskom stilu. Makar svi volimo glazbu, i očito idemo na te festivale da uživamo u glazbi, također želimo izgledati stylish i cool. Na primjer, tijekom ogromnih festivala poput Coachelle, Lollapalooze ili Glastonburyja, svi pričaju o tome što su poznati nosili. Imam osjećaj da više ljudi zanima tko je što nosio, nego tko je svirao taj dan.

Očito, mi nemamo takve velike festivale u Hrvatskoj. Najbliže tome što imamo je INmusic festival, na koji sam išla prošle godine (moji postovi o tome ovdje i ovdje), i ove godine ću također ići. To je zapravo odličan event, atmosfera je i više nego fantastična, a ove godine su ga mnoge web stranice proglasile jednim od najuzbudljivijih glazbenih festivala u Europi. Dobro zvuči, zar ne?

Znam da se čini malo ludo, ali ja već razmišljam što ću nositi na ovaj trodnevni event. Jednostavno obožavam inspirativne stvari festivalskog stila koje su trenutno dostupne na različitim web stranicama i online shopovima! Ja ću definitivno nositi nešto rock chic i boho; to su lookovi koje osobno volim nositi, a festivali su savršeni za to.

Spring is finally showing its softer side, so this gave me the perfect opportunity to wear something fun and flowy. I am actually wearing a dress in these pics, but I had to layer it with a shirt, simply because it's still not warm enough to wear it on its own. I kept the accessories to a minimum, and my footwear of choice were these amazing Sway Chic wedges.

What can I say - after all the events and fashion shows, I just want to wear something comfy and cool, especially because the Sun has finally decided to show up. You saw this Insane Jungle sweatshirt very recently on my blog, but worn in a totally different way - with heels and leather shorts. I decided to wear it in a more casual way this time, with jeans and my new beloved minty Converse sneakers.

One of the quickest ways to add a dash of personality to any outfit is to mix in a pair of animal print shoes. Rock your sexy leopard and zebra print shoes!

As popular and fun as they are, animal print shoes don't really work with everything. In fact, there are more colors and outfits that animal print shoes don't work with than items that do. The good news is, when you get the right combination, it's a tough one to beat for drama, glamour and sex appeal. Below are a few tips on what to wear with animal print shoes.

The Obvious Choice: Black

It almost goes without saying, but black dresses, skirts, and pants are a perfect match for animal print shoes. Not only because animal prints have black in them, but also because black really emphasized the lighter tones in traditional animal print shoes, such as leopard patterns. So, that's an easy one, take your Jimmy Choo Anouk Animal-Print Metallic Leather Pumps and pair them with a lovely black dress for a fashionable day at the office.

White and Light Neutrals

After black, the easiest shades to pair with animal print shoes are white and light neutral colors like sand, blush, and cream. If you're a real perfectionist when it comes to details, look for tones that are closely-matched to the lighter shades in your specific shoes, but for most choosing neutrals in the same general range will be close enough. A nice pair of Dolce & Gabbana Leopard-Print Canvas & Patent Bow Ballet Flats can be worn with Ladakh The Breathe Easy Crochet Dress in Cream.

Red and Other Bright Colors

All you need is a quick look at a pair of Boutique 9 Leopard-Print Pumps to see how well red works with animal print shoes. OUTFIT - Denim on denim

One of the biggest trends right now is wearing denim on denim. Of course, as a lot of other trends, this one can get tricky too. I think the best rule is that you shouldn't wear two denim pieces of the same color at the same time. If you do that, you probably won't get the look that you were going for. Instead, you can very easily achieve a very tacky and outdated look.
On the other hand, if you combine two denim pieces of different colors, one dark wash and one light wash, you will get the cool, trendy look you probably wanted. That's how I wore denim on denim too; dark wash jeans + a lighter wash denim shirt. I'm satisfied with the outcome, how about you?

Jedan od trenutno najvećih trendova je nošenje trapera na traper. Naravno, kao i puno drugih trendova, i ovaj može biti malo zeznut. Mislim da je najbolje pravilo da ne bi trebali nositi dva komada od trapera iste boje u isto vrijeme. Ako to napravite, vjerojatno nećete dobiti look koji ste htjeli. Umjesto toga, vrlo je lako da ćete dobiti jako otrcani i zastarjeli look.
S druge strane, ako iskombinirate dva traper komada različitih boja, jedan tamni i jedan svijetli, dobit ćete cool, trendy look koji ste vjerojatno željeli. Tako sam i ja nosila traper na traper; tamne traperice + svjetlija traper košulja. Zadovoljna sam s rezultatom, a vi?

OUTFIT/EVENT - Cro A Porter (S/S 2013) Day 4

The last night of Cro A Porter was also the least exciting one, if you ask me. Among all the designers, I can say I really liked only one collection - the one by Teo Peric for MAK. Hippy Garden was pretty cool, but nothing more than that. Zigman, Lokomotiva, Borna & Fils and Linea Exclusive; that is the list of other designer that presented their collections on the fourth day. I didn't like any of them. The Lokomotiva duo had a few good pieces, but nothing too impressive.
On the other hand, Teo Peric's collection was pure perfection. I would wear everything from this collection, it was that good. Teo was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's movies, and you could see that in every piece. The 50's silhouette will flatter any woman's body by putting emphasis on the best features. The colors were also gorgeous: from black and white, to unexpected purple, mint, yellow and pink.

I wore my new favorite Insane Jungle sweatshirt combined with faux leather shorts that you've already seen before. I wanted to create a cool and chic look, so I also wore a hat, a statement necklace and a yellow satchel. This is probably one of my favorite outfits ever.

Zadnja večer Cro A Porte-a je bila i najmanje uzbudljiva, ako mene pitate. Među svim dizajnerima, mogu reći da mi se samo jedna kolekcija jako svidjela - ona Tea Perića za MAK. Hippy Garden je bio prilično cool, ali ništa više od toga. Zigman, Lokomotiva, Borna & Fils i Linea Exclusive; to je lista ostalih dizajnera koji su predstavili svoje kolekcije četvrti dan. Ništa mi se od navedenih nije svidjelo. Lokomotiva duo je imao par dobrih komada, ali ništa previše impresivno.
S druge strane, kolekcija Tea Perića je bila čisto savršenstvo. Nosila bih sve iz ove kolekcije, toliko je bila dobra. Teo je bio inspiriran filmovima Alfreda Hitchcocka, i to se vidjelo u svakom komadu. Silueta 50-ih će odlično pristajati tijelu svake žene ističući najbolje atribute. Boje su također bile divne: od crne i bijele, do neočekivane ljubičaste, mint, žute i roze.

Ja sam nosila svoju novu najdražu Insane Jungle majicu iskombiniranu sa šorcem od umjetne kože koji ste već vidjeli. Željela sam stvoriti cool i chic look, pa sam također nosila šešir, statement ogrlicu i žutu satchel torbu.

In my opinion, the third night of Cro A Porter was the best. I saw a lot of clothes that I liked a lot, and would love to have. Here are the designers that presented their collections: Matija Vuica, Arileo, Sonja Lamut, Ivan Ledenko, Jet Lag, Marija Cvitanovic and Boris Pavlin. My favorites were Matija Vuica, Arileo and Jet Lag.

Matija Vuica always presents gorgeous gowns, that every woman wants to wear. This time was no exception. The details on her dresses will leave everyone speechless, as well as the high quality lace and silk she works with. Such a dreamy collection.

Marija & Jurica Piric, the designers behind the brand Arileo, presented a sophisticated, wearable collection, and I have to say I would wear almost every piece that I saw. Really chic!

My favorite part of the new Jet Lag collection was probably the chevron print, because I'm kinda obsessed with it right now. Everything in this collection looked so cool, and ready to wear in the city.

I wore a pretty simple outfit, but added my favorite shoes and statement necklaces for an interesting effect.

Po mom mišljenu, treća večer Cro A Porter-a je bila najbolja. Vidjela sam puno odjeće koja mi se jako svidjela, i koju bih voljela imati. Matija Vuica uvijek predstavi divne večernje haljine, koje svaka žena želi nositi. Ni ovaj put nije bio iznimka. Detalji na njenim haljinama će sve ljude ostaviti bez riječi, baš kao i visokokvalitetna čipka i svila s kojima radi. Tako sanjiva kolekcija.
Marija i Jurica Pirić, dizajneri iza branda Arileo, su predstavili sofisticiranu, nosivu kolekciju, i moram reći da bih nosila gotovo sve komade koje sam vidjela. Jako chic!
Moj najdraži dio nove Jet Lag kolekcije je vjerojatno chevron print, jer sam trenutno opsjednuta s njim. Sve je u ovoj kolekciji izgledalo jako cool, i spremno za nositi u gradu.

Nosila sam prilično jednostavan outfit, ali sam dodala svoje najdraže cipele i statement ogrlice da stvorim zanimljiv efekt.

Here are the designers that presented their collections yesterday: XD Xenia Design, Tamara Bombardelli, Ivan Mann, Matevz Faganel, Vain, Damir Begovic & Domagoj Stimac and Dioralop. My favorites were Xenia Design and Tamara Bombardelli. Dioralop was cool too.

Ksenija Vrbanic (Xenia Design) showed us a high quality collection once again. What I love about her design is that you can always be sure that you will get a unique and well-made piece if you decide to buy something from her collection. Ksenija mostly works with the color black, but this time she incorporated a few unexpected bright blue details, which added an interesting twist to the collection.

Tamara Bombardelli decided to combine gypsy and minimal elements in her new collection. In result, we got a very clever mixture of fringes and solid white or black pieces with some transparent moments. Loved the whole collection!

I wore my new fabulous Insane Jungle dress, combined with some cool jewelry, including my favorite VidaKush bracelet that you already saw before.

Ovo su dizajneri koji su jučer predstavili svoje kolekcije: XD Xenia Design, Tamara Bombardelli, Ivan Mann, Matevž Faganel, Vain, Damir Begović & Domagoj Štimac i Dioralop. Moji favoriti su bile dizajnerice Xenia Design i Tamara Bombardelli. Dioralop je isto bio cool.

Ksenija Vrbanić (Xenia Design) nam je još jednom pokazala visokokvalitetnu kolekciju. Ono što volim kod njenog dizajna je što uvijek možete biti sigurni da ćete dobiti jedinstveni i odlično napravljeni komad ako odlučite kupiti nešto iz njene kolekcije. Ksenija većinom radi sa crnom bojom, ali ovaj put je inkorporirala nekoliko neočekivanih žarko plavih detalja, što je dodalo zanimljiv zaokret u kolekciju.

Tamara Bombardelli je odlučila kombinirati ciganske i minimalističke elemente u svojoj novoj kolekciji. Kao rezultat smo dobili jako pametan mix resica i jednobojnih bijelih ili crnih komada sa nekoliko prozirnih momenata. Jako mi se svidjela cijela kolekcija!

Ja sam nosila svoju novu divnu Insane Jungle haljinu, iskombiniranu sa cool nakitom, uključujući moju najdražu VidaKush narukvicu koju ste već prije vidjeli.

Manuel Maligec

Another Cro A Porter started yesterday, and here are the designers that presented their collections the first night: Etna Maar, Jelena Aleksic, Tatjana Pantos, Manuel Maligec, Marija Pinjuh, Madame Demode and Tomislav Bahoric. As you can see, a lot of designers in one night.
My favorites were definitely Tomislav Bahoric (Spirit by T.B.) and Manuel Maligec. Tomislav presented another great collection for men, but this time he mostly used the color white, instead of black. The main focus of this collection were the wide brush-strokes on the fabrics, which gave the clothes an edgy vibe.
The young designer (and blogger) Manuel Maligec showed us the range of his talent again. I think he won every woman's heart with his nude and blush tones, feminine dresses and cool suits.

I decided to wear my ''MMM with H&M'' skirt with the lovely star spangled blazer that you already saw before and a white shirt as a base. I accessorized with the amazing statement necklace by Rocks Paper Metal that I received a couple of days ago. I'm so in love with this necklace!

Još jedan Cro A Porter je jučer počeo, i ovo su dizajneri koji su predstavili svoje kolekcije prvu večer: Etna Maar, Jelena Aleksić, Tatjana Pantoš, Manuel Maligec, Marija Pinjuh, Madame Demode i Tomislav Bahorić. Kao što vidite, puno dizajnera u jednoj večeri.
Moji favoriti su definitivno bili Tomislav Bahorić (Spirit by T.B.) i Manuel Maligec. Tomislav je predstavio još jednu odličnu kolekciju za muškarce, ali ovaj put je većinom koristio bijelu boju, umjesto crne. Glavni fokus ove kolekcije su bili široki potezi kistom na tkaninama, koji su dali odjeći edgy vibru.
Mladi dizajner (i bloger) Manuel Maligec nam je ponovno pokazao opseg svog talenta. Mislim da je osvojio srce svake žene sa svojim nude i puderastim tonovima, ženstvenim haljinama i cool odijelima.

Ja sam odlučila obući svoju ''MMM with H&M'' suknju sa divnim blazerom posutim svijezdama koji ste već prije vidjeli i bijelom košuljom kao bazom. Od nakita sam se odlučila sa ovu nevjerojatnu Rocks Paper Metal statement ogrlicu koju sam dobila prije par dana. Totalno sam zaljubljena u ovu oglicu!

NEW IN - Sunpocket sunglasses

Here's the latest addition to my sunglasses collection: white foldable sunglasses by Sunpocket, again thanks to Sunglasses Shop. I've already talked about this cool website so many times, but if you still don't know much about it, here's a bit of info. They offer a wide variety of both designer sunglasses, like for example Ray Ban, and also the low-cost ones, like for example Sunpocket. I definitely recommend shopping on this site because they have great customer service!

The Sunpocket sunglasses that I received a couple of days ago are so cool, and you can fold them very easily so they fit in a very small bag. Can't wait to wear them!

EVENT - Perwoll Fashion.hr (Autumn/Winter 2013/2014) Days 2 and 3

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the lack of outfit posts lately, but the weather has done it again! I'm sick and tired of talking about it, so I'm going to pass this time. Due to some technical difficulties, I'm not able to show you what I wore to the 2nd and 3rd day of Perwoll Fashion.hr, but I'll show it to you in my future outfit posts.
Right now, let's concentrate on the collections that were presented during the 2nd and the 3rd day of this event. FYI, I didn't go to the first day and I'm not going today, so that's why I'm only talking about these two days.
My favorite collection of the second day was the one by I-Gle. Simple, but also chic and special. I loved the interesting details and cut outs. Marina Design's collection was my favorite one of the third day. Marina's futuristic lines blew me away, absolutely stunning!

Pozdrav svima!
Ispričavam se na manjku outfit postova zadnje vrijeme, ali vrijeme je opet krivo! Već mi je zlo od pričanja o tome, tako da ću zaobići tu temu ovaj put. Zbog nekih tehničkih poteškoća nisam u mogućnosti da vam pokažem što sam nosila na drugi i treći dan Perwoll Fashion-hr-a, ali pokazat ću vam u svojim budućim outfit postovima.
Koncentrirajmo se sada na kolekcije koje su bile predstavljene tijekom drugog i trećeg dana ovog eventa. FYI, nisam išla prvi dan i ne idem danas, te zato pričam o samo ova dva dana.
Moja najdraža kolekcija drugog dana je bila ona od I-Gle. Jednostavna, ali također chic i posebna. Jako su mi se svidjeli zanimljivi detalji i izrezi. Kolekcija Marine Design mi je bila najdraža trećeg dana. Marinine futurističke linije su me oduševile, apsolutno predivno!

If you like iPhone cases like me, this is a post for you!
Case App is a very cool website where you can design you own iPhone 4/4s or 5 cases. It's very easy to do and you can design the cases any way you want! I'll be designing my own case too, and I can't wait to show it to you when I get it :)
On the other hand, Sticker App is the site for you if you prefer skins for your iPhone or laptop. Here you can design your own stickers and labels, to make your gadget look unique.
I definitely recommend these sites to everyone who likes gadgets!
