Tip #1

You've finally started your very first blog. Now you're ready but where is the traffic?
I've always assumed that once your started a site, everyone would come.
But that's not true. You have to work really hard to promote your blog and your shop(s).

If you have a Blog.....

Write about issues people can benefit from.

Can a person learn something that can improve their lives or income from reading your blog ?

Have you given your audience just enough to make them want to come back again?

Write as often as you can. Some probloggers think they only need to blog once a month. I don't understand that. You want the reader and search engines to visit your blog as often as possible.

Get involved in forums to get your name out there.

Comment on sites with high Page Ranks.

If you have started a blog for yourself, that's totally okay.

But if you started your blog to attract attention, then make sure you remember and understand what your audience needs. People want to know- What can you do for me?

One day I was searching through Etsy and came across this wonderful picture. These acorns are felted by Lisa Jordan. I thought about taking a felting class until I saw her work. Okay - yes this is my -I have to have it- moment. How lovely are these handmade cake stoppers. When I first saw them in Mary Engelbreit's magazine, my heart started to race. OMG! Who is this artist? Ann Wood is an artist from Brooklyn, NY. And if I didn't say it already, let me say it again- She makes lovely bird cake toppers made mostly from lovely vintage fabric. The birds are about 3-1/2 inches tall and are stuff with wool. They would make any couple quite happy on their wedding day!
