Mike Krantz of Faith Community Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado was interviewed by WAY-FM on 3/9/2008 about the upcoming Foothills of the Rockies “Home Repair” Workcamps in July 2008.

On July 20 – August 2, 2008, roughly 400 volunteers will dedicate over 12,000 hours and thousands of dollars worth of labor and materials by repairing homes for elderly, low-income, and disabled residents of Longmont. The types of work they may do include: porch and step repair; wheelchair-ramp construction; interior and exterior painting; weatherization; light carpentry; and siding repair, among others. One of FCLC’s member’s, a college freshman, gave a presentation at her home church, Faith Community Lutheran in Longmont, Colorado on 12/30/2007. She told a story where she was inspired by the PostSecret books by Frank Warren. She decided to do something similar at her college dorm. Her video highlights what happened after she posted her one anonymous Post It note secret on the bathroom wall…. more followed by other girls, more secrets, and words of encouragement and support… Truly amazing, and inspiring… Showing that the spirit is still alive. The Lord worked through her in such a wonderful way!
