Super heroes, demons, a teen who can maybe save the world if she can just figure her powers out and get them working to maximum capacity and keep the Harrowers from killing her, destroying her family and her city in the process. take a look and read it today!

Official Description:

Audrey Whitticomb has nothing to fear. Her mother is the superhero Morning Star, the most deadly crime-fighter in the Twin Cities, so it’s hard for Audrey not to feel safe. That is, until she’s lured into the sweet night air by something human and not human–something with talons and teeth, and a wide, scarlet smile.

Now Audrey knows the truth: her mom doesn’t fight crime at night. She fights Harrowers–livid, merciless beings who were trapped Beneath eons ago. Yet some have managed to escape. And they want Audrey dead, just because of who she is: one of the Kin.

To survive, Audrey will need to sharpen the powers she has always had. When she gets close to someone, dark corners of the person’s memories become her own, and she sometimes even glimpses the future. If Audrey could only get close to Patrick Tigue, a powerful Harrower masquerading as human, she could use her Knowing to discover the Harrowers’ next move. But Leon, her mother’s bossy, infuriatingly attractive sidekick, has other ideas. Lately, he won’t let Audrey out of his sight.

When an unthinkable betrayal puts Minneapolis in terrible danger, Audrey discovers a wild, untamed power within herself. It may be the key to saving her herself, her family, and her city. Or it may be the force that destroys everything–and everyone–she loves

Reader: Rebekah

Title: Tiger Lily

Author: Jody Lynn Anderson

Reader Rating: LOVED it!

Tell us something about the book:

It’s the love story of Peter Pan and Tiger Lily before Wendy showed up, told from Tinkerbell’s point of view.

I liked the book because:

I liked it because it’s a beautiful and sad love story all at the same time.

Official Description:

Before Peter Pan belonged to Wendy, he belonged to the girl with the crow feather in her hair. . . .

Fifteen-year-old Tiger Lily doesn’t believe in love stories or happy endings. Then she meets the alluring teenage Peter Pan in the forbidden woods of Neverland and immediately falls under his spell.

Peter is unlike anyone she’s ever known. Impetuous and brave, he both scares and enthralls her. As the leader of the Lost Boys, the most fearsome of Neverland’s inhabitants, Peter is an unthinkable match for Tiger Lily. Soon, she is risking everything—her family, her future—to be with him. When she is faced with marriage to a terrible man in her own tribe, she must choose between the life she’s always known and running away to an uncertain future with Peter.

With enemies threatening to tear them apart, the lovers seem doomed. But it’s the arrival of Wendy Darling, an English girl who’s everything Tiger Lily is not, that leads Tiger Lily to discover that the most dangerous enemies can live inside even the most loyal and loving heart.

43. What distracts you easily when you’re reading?People talking to me. I hate that! Don’t they see your reading!?!

44. Favorite film adaptation of a novel? Anne of Green Gables! I watch it whenever I’m home and they show it on PBS! I love it!

45. Most disappointing film adaptation? Eragon. It’s like they didn’t even READ the book! I mean a 6’2” dwarf? really?

46. The most money I’ve ever spent in the bookstore at one time? maybe around $50. I’m a huge fan of libraries so practice what I preach!

47. How often do you skim a book before reading it? Almost never.

48. What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through? If it’s badly written or just plain boring.

49. Do you like to keep your books organized? I keep them loosely organized at home. Paperbacks separated from hardbacks and I try to keep all the authors separated out by the first letter of their last name. Otherwise it’d be impossible to find anything when I look for them.

50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once you’ve read them? A little of both.

51. Are there any books you’ve been avoiding? Not really.

52. Name a book that made you angry. Books have never made me angry. Situations in them have though. I do, on occasion, find myself yelling at a book the way a person does while watching a movie.

53. A book you didn’t expect to like but did?

54. A book that you expected to like but didn’t? Twilight. It was OK, but I wasn’t ecstatic over it.

55. Favorite guilt-free, pleasure reading? Those cozy mysteries. The ones with the crazy titles that make me laugh, such as The Crepes of Wrath by Tamar Myers, On What Grounds from The Coffee House Mystery series by Cleo Coyle or Knit One, Kill Two by Maggie Sefton. The titles crack me up and they’re usually shorter paperbacks so they don’t take long to read at all!

Reader: Anonymous

Title: Guitar Notes

Author: Mary Amato

Reader Rating: Loved It!!!

Tell us something about the book: This is such a gr8 story about a boi and a girl and there love of music. You think its going to be like a love story but its not. its all about music n livin with hard things in life like when family dies. And they use there music to heal.

I liked the book because: I didn’t expect the ending

Official Description:

On odd days, Tripp Broody uses a school practice room to let loose on a borrowed guitar. Eyes closed, strumming that beat-up instrument, Tripp escapes to a world where only the music matters.

On even days, Lyla Marks uses the same practice room. To Tripp, she’s trying to become even more perfect—she’s already a straight-A student and an award-winning cellist. But when Lyla begins leaving notes for him in between the strings of the guitar, his life intersects with hers in a way he never expected.

What starts as a series of snippy notes quickly blossoms into the sharing of interests and secrets and dreams, and the forging of a very unlikely friendship. Challenging each other to write songs, they begin to connect, even though circumstances threaten to tear them apart.
