Ok ok, Joe and I have decided it is up to us to filter the content and find the true gems out there.  So, Joe and I promise that this will be the last weekly roundup that includes any posts about blogging or twitter.  Yes, it’s going to be a wild goose chase from now on, but we’re going to do it!

Top Ten Personal Finance Blogs you’ve never heard of

The personal finance blogging world is dominated by players like I Will Teach You to be Rich, Get Rich Slowly, and the Simple Dollar.  Though these bloggers have extremely valuable content, we feel that there are other lesser known bloggers that write posts that are of equal quality.  I scoured the internet to find the best personal finance bloggers that you’ve never heard of.  I gathered 30 blogs, aggregated their satistics, and chose the top ten to be displayed here before you today.

We objectively ranked these blogs by measuring the following statistics: Linkbacks, Traffic, Comments, Authority, Followers, and Retweets.

Let me know what you think about these blogs!  We ultimately want to tweak and revise our algorithm based on your feedback, so do let us know what you think of each blog that is mentioned here.  If you have a personal finance blog that you would like to recommend, list it in the comment section and we’ll create a receommended list.

Top 10 NBA Players On Twitter

With Twitter becoming one of the fastest growing social networks, it is no surprise that NBA players have begun using Twitter to increase their personal brand as well as increasing their fan base. From NBA players like Shaquille O’neal to teammates Steve Nash and Jason Richardson, Twitter has not only become a great networking tool for companies, but also for athletes.

The big question that is on peoples minds is which NBA player has the most influence among the rest. While most everyone is aware that Shaq is on Twitter, many people don’t know of lesser known players like Mark Madsen and Brian Cardinal. Still, they are finding their way onto peoples Follower’s list in a hurry.

To help you figure out which NBA players you should follow and to give you an idea of where they rank amongst others, we have put together the Top 10 NBA Players On Twitter. The players listed only include NBA players currently playing in the NBA or at least 3 years out of the league. Our ranking system took into account the number of Followers, Updates and Retweets that each player had and are based on numbers as of May 12, 2009.
