The proposed Senior Centre will house Affordable Housing, Assisted Living, Supportive Housing and an Activity Centre. The Community is being asked to contribute 1.8Million Dollars over a 3 year period. The guest speaker will be Greg Hall, the man who helped rescue 33 miners in Chile. He has an amazing story to tell. Tickets are $22.00, plus fees and taxes, are available at the City of Winkler Ticket Office. Call 325-5600.

CHUM, a growing project of Canadian Foodgrains Bank invites you to help End Hunger. Harold Penner, Manitoba Regional Coordinator for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank will share an evening presentation entitled “Conservation Farming in Lesotho” on Tuesday, April 3 at 8:00pm at the Covenant Mennonite Church, 363 – 8th Street, Winkler, Manitoba. Recently returned from a study trip to Lesotho and Ethiopia, Harold will share stories and pictures from his time abroad. Horsemanship Director

Winkler Bible Camp is looking for someone to head up their new horsemanship program. We built a new horse barn and riding ring in 2011, giving them the ability to expand the horse program to function year round. This is a full time position, in which the right person would be creating a new program, which involves working with school groups, teaching riding lessons, and more. Cross Current Discipleship Director

Next Sunday Evening: 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Church Skating social at the Winkler Recreational Centre, come with finger foods, snacks and drinks and your favourite Hockey sweater.

We will be hosting a Local Quiz Meet at our Church on Saturday, March 31st. There will be teams coming from seven other churches. We will need to provide billeting for the groups from Brandon and Dryden for Friday and Saturday nights. We will also need to provide lunch, supper, and snacks for the entire group on Saturday. If you would like to help out with hosting people or providing food, please contact Eric Dueck or Mary Enns.

“God drilled the hole. I just had a good seat!” Greg Hall, the man who helped rescue 33 miners will be the guest speaker at the launch of the Fund Raising Project for the H.F. Wiebe Active Living Centre to be built in 2012-2013. The event will be held in at the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church on April 12^th; starting at 7:00 PM.
