Most of you know I relocated about 3 months ago.  The majority of you also know I’m a mover & a shaker.  I have three confessions for you today.  Little things that have been bugging me to get off my chest…

Gasp.

Shock.

Look away.

I’M UGLY!

There are several reasons, really.

•   I’ve made a decision to avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup and eat as much Natural Food as possible.  While there are coupons for these items, they never truly make for a great “steal” like you find on FREE fruit snacks, or $.25 peanut butter.  My time is better spent on other things than clipping coupons that only save me $.60 on two.

•   When I started couponing, I was in a REALLY bad place in my life.  We were in total lifestyle shock and did what we had to do.  Am I embarrassed- hell no.  It is what it is.  But each time I reach for a coupon insert, I don’t see it as money anymore.  It takes me back to how much we struggled.

As a blogger- Grocery coupons are miserable.

A coupon I see may not be in your area or available on Coupons.com under your zipcode.  Your store may not double like mine, and your shelf prices ( 6 times out of 10) are different than my area.  Imagine spending an hour creating a report for your boss and him ripping you apart because the info in it doesn’t apply to him.  I’m telling you.  It’s frustrating.  For you and me.

Now, online deals… I’m your girl.  I’m still bargain hunting clothes, shoes, household items, and anything else you can find on the great www.  Cash back, Kohls cash, coupon code, free shipping- I’m game.

I am in the process of planning and opening a gymnastics facility in the county I just moved to.  Remember that mover & shaker part?

We have to drive 20 miles one way to participate in Cheer/Gymnastics out here and it’s ridiculous.  In fact, the lack of female sports in our area is ridiculous.  If I hear, “My son participates in XYZ, so we don’t have the time or money for my daughter to …”  AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!  I’m telling you, it irks me to the bone.

So having a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management, 7 years coaching experience, and about 15 years participation experience leaves me the perfect candidate to start this facility.  It’s my calling.  I’ll move mountains to make it happen.

As you can imagine, the website is already up, the Facebook page is already rolling, and the community is getting excited!  This leaves me extremely strapped for time as I campaign, plan, and beg for the money to launch this facility.  No really, beg.

I told you I was serious and would move mountains to get this gym off the ground.  I gave up *the best thing that has ever happened to me* for the girls in this community.

Wow. I’m relieved to have those confessions off my chest.

I love each and every one of my readers, so I will continue this blog and my savings mission.  In fact, every ounce of my savings strategies are being poured into this gym.  I’ll probably start a little section on the blog about the gym’s progress, triumphs and set backs, too.  From foreclosed land, to wheeling and dealing with HVAC installers, sign companies, and a lot of DIY work, I hope to build this thing on a dime.

Not really.  More like 9,000,000 dimes.  Anyone have a dime I can borrow?
