The Cramps went one step further than punk rock: they didn't merely go back to basics, they stripped rock'n'roll naked and flaunted it in its lethal distilled form: as a relentless sex beast, a psychotic release, a nihilist post-apocalyptic celebration, the ultimate in trash culture.

They were definitely a big part of my musical development.
from:http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2009/feb/05/cramps-lux-interior-dies

psychobilly has always been the tip of the iceberg, a clever crafting of several styles with a total disregard for what is thought about the performers.

peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Black holes and spider webs

Something of interest for today...

One must be a little paranoid when having a new idea for a PhD. How spiders make non-Euclidean webs in the corners of my bathroom. Maybe they're trying to tell me something.

Saw Tony yesterday. He's looking worse sadly and had much trouble concentrating, but many people visited. He's one of the most visited men in the rest home. While we all love you Tony, there comes a time to let go. I have been going through a series of meditations and I found a tiny spike in my visualised 2D waveplanes. I must have been ignoring it as background noise in the past, but I've noticed that when I switch from external to internal visualization, its always there. Is it a natural event? I have to spend more time examining this, maybe this is the difference between the body and visualisation. I have to watch for a while to see if they are lasting events, periodic spikes or random events.

peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

I hear the afterlife is poorly scored

Something of interest for today...

A stolen title starts this entry. I had an episode on the train today. An angel came to me and told me that I was here to understand the mechanics of the universe because I had a role coming up. I had to examine evil and find out that it doesn't exist. The same for good. Sounds like typical schizo/psych stuff so I didn't take it too seriously :-)

Samael in dead, so is Michael, during his time with Samael, he found that he had become the very thing he was fighting. Gabriel died rather than stay on Earth. All of the Archangels are gone. Maybe they're recruiting. Who knows. It was only a momentary glimpse.

My decision to become posthuman is fixed now, as is my modified quantum hole theory, I just need to get it checked by someone who I can trust with the new view, someone who won't submit it as their own.
Thanks for keeping up with things...

the best music

Something of interest for today...

Picked up a copy of 'The High End of Low' today and have found the BEST song in the WORLD...its 'I want to kill you like they do in the movies'. Hooray, cant wait for him to get settled in so I can visit.

Was learning about DNA last night, and came to the realization that there is only one species on this planet, that species is DNA. As a good evolutionary being, it is trying to adapt perfectly to its environment, hence all the phenotypes, they're just DNA experimenting for a good 'key' sequence.

That would mean that we who deal so much with intermediate tools to handle the world will soon not need those tools and we will truly become 'posthuman'.

Other options I've seen as alternatives are homo destructus, homo intelligentia, and my favorite, homo faber (the man who makes).Maybe we'll make the big jump and become homo universalis..!

Maybe lets shed the homo species and replace it with 'hyper sapien'
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Word games

Something of interest for today...

'Dead Cheerleaders Rule America'
'Space is just another place to leave your golf balls'
'This is business, not pleasure, baby'

All of these phrases have resonance in my mind, see if they do yours.

I'm trying to score some L-tryptophan for experiments in sleep regulation. Tony was looking better but was sound asleep, so we wound our way through the corridors until we found Simon. We were really happy that he recognized us and though speech was difficult he was very entertaining, he loves being like a big kid. You could feel the love when his wife Marian came in.

There was a funny incident that happened, when Jelina met a Filipina nurse and they started talking Visayan, their home language. Poor Simon thought he'd lost it until we explained the language situation. We all had a great laugh.

We left Simon imploring Marian to get him some Doc Martens like I'd just bought. We have many things in our lives that are similar, and I look forward to getting them better.

Peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Surf

Something of interest for today...

Lithium flower has been on my mind again. An Aussie author who is surprisingly prolific. He writes science fiction that is loaded with complex maths concepts and even better, he resolves them in the stories. Much better than a textbook.

Must go, Fawlty Towers is on.
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Birds

Something of interest for today...

Hi to everyone, this is a quick note to everyone I know who has the knowledge to understand.

I hope that you and your families are all O.K. We had a bird calling on our front lawn at the wrong time of night. It was quite insistent until I got up and put on the lights.

I've had enough experience with traditional cultures over the years to understand what this means.

Peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Triggers

Something of interest for today...

Just had a life changing realization!!

Throughout the history of my schizo affective disorder, I've always known when an attack is coming on because I would get the same feeling all over my body that rubbing some rough polyester fabrics would give when touched. It was a whole body thing, teeth and tongue as well.

This limited a lot of the clothing I could wear. As I've just become aware of this being absent for a while, I can't say how long, but will try many different surfaces. When about to have an attack now, I just know its coming, and if I can get to my minor medicine quick enough, can stop it before it gets started. I have 2 meds - one for minor attacks, and a heavy duty one that really helps if I am having a bad attack or am somewhere that the results of an attack would be catastrophic (like when driving).

I hope to explore this further
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Restricted and a good meeting

Something of interest for today...

Not allowed me to use any of the following noms on some favorite sites. Bummer

'the antipope'
'cheerleader death squad'
'decayed of burlesque'.

I had an online meeting that was just like a real chance meeting in life. A mutual friend's Facebook lead me to an old neighbour and friend, and from there to his Dad, who we already had some history with but neither of us put the pieces together properly until yesterday.

Been reading over old posts, and while I admit to a degree of psychosis, I don't get the urge to hurt others. I don't even enjoy football games. I've often posted about an effect my illness has had and usually found a positive. They are all true in my mind; they are what I'm doing and saying, but when I discuss how I use symptoms as tools for alternative interpretations some people have decided that the results are wrong because they come from 'wrong thought'. I will say that the results stand and bent and curved as the data is, I get better results than when I'm not having an attack. I still hold that the illness can be focused to become a useful tool and will continue to do so throughout my career. Some question my stand for Anarchy without discussing the role it plays in my life. Its the only belief system that matches my illness and through that improves my analytical results.

malcolm
Thanks for keeping up with things...

football

Something of interest for today...

Some scraps overheard/seen/done

football game

Now thats what I call a football game. Those cheerleasders are HOT.

Does anyone know where I can download just episode 11 of season 5 of the x-files. Kill switch its called. I'm not interested in downloading the whole series as appears to be my only option.

Found some youtube videos discussing the difference between Goths and Emos' a favorite subject between me and my son and his friends. I survived the punk days, hiding it from my parents. From the pictures, it looks like emos hold their cameras/phones at the same angles while Goths have a more formal pose.

Had another chat about anarchy. Anarchy can be gentle, friendly and nice and is not just the haunt of destructive maniacs. Anarchy on the web has a good coverage and lots of merchandise. (As the DK's said in 'anarchy for sale' - "buy buy buy from Circle-A") but I have to say that its about not recognising any authority above yourself (unless you want to). For example I have to drive various places, so I made the conscious decision to get a licence. While driving I accept that for my and others safety there are a standard set of rules to be followed. I accept this. Also there is registration, overpriced petrol, services, tune ups and tyres - all things that I accept for the sake of driving. There are many other laws I don't accept and actively sabotage others. Anarchy is about your choices. Anarchy is my choice.

Nice quote from Lilly Allen "I am a weapon of massive consumption" - great heh?
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Jelina

Something of interest for today...

Get well soon my dear, we are worrying about you. I have been listening to Marilyn Manson. This showman has a wild, raging style of communication, with many layered music and lyrics that I am spending time analyzing. I mentioned it before, but the deeper I go, the more I find. There is much freedom here and I intend to make the most of it.
Thanks for keeping up with things...

New Life

Something of interest for today...

The last few days have shown me how ephemeral life is. Sick friends, the swine flu and all of that crap opened my eyes to a new view on life. I was walking down Rundle Mall today and my sight shifted to the mall and its people and buildings as a continuous plain of data and or probability. People were gravity wells, as they moved, they dragged with them nearby parts of the plain (there's a term for this, but I've forgotten). Forgetting doesn't master. What you forget isn't important, there's been many a time that I've just lost my whole train of thought.

As Ive mentioned, I'm using my illness as a focus and way to free my ego from its bonds and have been on some rollercoaster rides along the borders of reality. But who says it is reality? Not me any longer. Much meditation allows a freedom that the drugs don't give, but at the cost of time and effort. Sometimes one is a s good as another.

So I have given myself a restart, a new life. I can be a middle aged technogoth and I will work well in AI with absolute freedom. There is no need for negativity, anger or disappointment its all an infinite universe of power and love.

peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

I Died Again Today

Something of interest for today...

Yes death, our old friend came a calling, but I was not willing to follow the complete path. Jelina is very sick, and while she was asleep, I began performing Reiki on her. After a while, everything went white and I found myself on a raked gravel circle. I was asked what I was doing there and I explained that I was attempting to absorb the negative force from Jelina. The voice said that would probably kill me, so I said, 'she's my wife, so thats OK'. The voice stopped me about half way and said I was needed later for work on M.I. and that she would be OK with what I had taken, even though I had taken a couple of days supply of negativity.

I sat in the circle for a while and a door opened. I was told that I had to go, so I did, back to the floor of the bedroom (I had started on the bed).

Interesting experience. I wish there was some way to measure it to prove it wasn't just another psychotic episode.

peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...

Anarchy is nice

Something of interest for today...

Today while out shopping I was assailed by a woman who took my circle A hoodie to be an affront to her religious beliefs. After making a scene, she calmed down and I convinced her to sit with me. A scary prospect when you're a 50kg 60 year old woman and I'm a 120kg, touching on 6' clad in black with piercings and holes all over the place.

I cleared the air about Christ first. First, I do not embrace Christ, my God is dead (died 10 may 1964) but we still carry on with the heat from his decomposing body.

Secondly, Anarchy. I am an Anarchist and proud of it, but Anarchy does not have to be violent. The old image of the bomb wielding mustached villain is merely a reflection of TV. I am non violent and like to encourage creativity. The circle A is just a symbol. Anarchy is merely another take on personal freedoms and it is up to the individual as to how they present.

So she sat and we talked but I don't think I got any message across. The only way you can educate people is by living the example of your philosophy.

peace
Thanks for keeping up with things...
