For Dexter, something is for certain that he will certainly not change. I don't understand if it is long lasting but gradually this is not something people would love to watch.

During the ending dialogues on "The Big One," season finale of Dexter, he reiterated which has been apparent for seasons now that he is not going to change hself. Because of this, Dexter quit being a personality reviewed a long time ago and resolved in as a exciting suspense drama.

However people still appreciated exceptionally. Although It was being anticipated that Lumen would stick around since at the very least that would give us something unique in upcoming season: Dexter in a relationship with a genuine killing partner.

Nonetheless, she woke up, ideally exited with a easy speech and we were left where we always are:

This type of summary made the finale looks vacant and perhaps the whole season looks like a waste. What Dexter is leading to? Should we have any reason to believe that he is going to be a changed person in the next season? Regardless of what will happen on the show, TV audience continually knows how it will eventually conclude, the key villain will wind up on the table of Dexter, Dexter will look as if he has some form of revelatory time however, In the long run, will remain who he always has been.

Two exceptional performances needs to be mentioned here in Dexter season 5. One from Jonny Lee Miller who was ideal in the part of Jordan Chase and Jennifer Carpenter sparkled as Deb. She made us sense her agony, striving to accomplish her position as a cop with the way to react as an individual.

On the other hand it was a laughable to think that fruit seller would point Deb toward a camp just because Jordan had driven in a certain routes on the road. Did they not show that the camp was out of business for many years? And Had not been it clearly way off a main road?

It appeared to be that ultimate issue that gives some expectation for Dexter Season 6. Deb figuring out with regards to her brother and coping with the implication. Between Quinn apparently understanding the reality and Deb allowing her vigilantes run free, that likelihood looks much better than ever. In any event, it will be turned on. But it will be with no expectations that anything at all ever seriously changes on Dexter.

Dexter Season 5 premiere, "My Bad," Review – ( S05e01)

In the very first episode of Dexter Season 5, we saw Dexter in so much pain after Rita’s murder. We can guess from the premier that how strong this season is going to be. It was quite exciting to see how the show progressed after a major character loss in previous season. The scene was to be carried on from Rita’s murder spot; it started precisely where it left off. Rita was found dead in the bathtub whereas Harrison crying on the floor and then picked up by Dexter.

When police appeared at the crime scene, Dexter looked well shocked and had no clue what to say to the questions being asked by police. The worst answer you could possibly imagine in this situation would have been “It was me “, Bingo! And that’s what Dexter replied.

There is no doubt that Dexter thinks he is responsible for whatever happened and blaming himself because he couldn’t save his family. At one point in time, Dexter could actually kill Trinity when he had the chance to do so but he was analysing the situation by just observing Trinity who was a serial killer and also had a family. So all these thoughts put Dexter in some kind of confusion which resulted in Rita’s loss which was the last thing Dexter would have thought. :~(

The way police reacted inside the house at the murder spot was quite bizarre; making jokes at a place where someone has been murdered was dreadful. Mazuka always shows his obsession with sex—the kinkier the better—and is not cautious about propositioning every woman he meets “I imagined her naked a million times, but never like this.” Says Masuka. Quinn indicated that Trinity has never done a murder like this before; he got even more dubious when he discovered that Rita and the neighbour Elliot had kissed.

The kind of part Debra had to play in this episode was to be in an unusual situation…. She remained mentally powerful, composed and mature. She had to do everything from pick out Rita's casket to pick out her funeral dress. She cleaned the washroom with Quinn and tolerated. Quinn also helped Deb to pick out the right dress for Rita’s funeral.

The biggest sign that Dexter was starting to lose his social skills in this stunned state was when he broke the news to Astor, Cody and Rita's parents about Rita's murder after letting them spend the entire day at Disney World so they could have one last good day. As everyone reacted, he borrowed a line the funeral director said to him earlier in the episode: "I'm sorry for your loss." It's such a ridiculous thing to say at that moment -- it's something you say to people you don't know that well, or if you don't know the person who died very well -- not what you say to the parents and children of your murdered wife. (And how sad was it that Cody and Astor got Rita a Mickey Mouse hat?)

It wouldn't really be "Dexter" without at least one dead body, and strangely, it's when Dexter kills a guy, that he comes back to himself. Even weirder, it's when Harry ghost makes his reappearance. Dexter had pulled into himself so much that he couldn't even manufacture his Harry conscience. You would think Harry would disapprove of Dexter killing the rude guy in the grimy bathroom, but instead, he said: "That's the first human thing I've seen you do." It's weird when bashing a guy to death with an anchor counts as human, but I see where he's coming from. With Dexter's animal-like wail, he finally let out the rage and pain. This murder definitely was not up to Harry's code -- there was no proof that the guy he killed was anything but a jackass, and it's going to be a bear to clean up the crime scene.

Back at the cemetery, everyone was nervous and questioning since Dexter hasn't shown up yet and Deb was furious about the vulture FBI Agents waiting around since Dexter missed his interview. But Dexter shows (albeit looking a little casual) and gives a very appropriate eulogy. It was heartfelt, but stayed in character. He mentioned that Rita was brutally murdered (in front of the kids) and that she was innocent and odd characterization. Even stranger, he mentioned that he wasn't even human before he met her. Then he has the realization of all realizations -- that he loved her, and that he's capable of love. He said this in his inner monologue, which is where he comes up with all his truest truths.

(One strange aspect of this episode is Dexter burning down his Killer Memento Shed. I get the symbolism -- a fresh start and all, and anger that his Dark Passenger is what caused Rita's death -- but it was risky. Rita's murder happened in the house and there was probably no reason the cops/FBI would look in the locked shed, but it was still strange. And although Dexter was not in a good frame of mind, and was at that time planning to disappear, burning the shed just called attention to him.)

Creative arts Emmy Awards gave away awards in which included a category of best guest actors in each Genre.

Dexter Season 5 preview.

It seems like Season 5 starts up not long after Season 4 left off, with police reacting to Dexter's residence to inquire Rita's death. In the trailer, Dexter tells the police that It was him.

Alongside, Dexter has to tell the bad news to Rita's children that she has been killed

Even worse? It seems that police have a suspect name, Kyle Butler, a.k.a. the alias Dexter was using last season.

During the Question and Answer time, new Dexter showrunner Chip Johannessen told the audience about what they can expect for Season 5.

"We wanted to process this huge event that's almost another origin story," said Johannessen.

He further added, "This is an adult origin story in a way. This is not something that happened to him when he was three-years-old. We don't continue the facts of season four for very long, but this set of events he brought on himself very much permeates season 5."

And one of the biggest changes for Season 5? There won't be one big villain taunting Dexter; instead, several serial killers will appear over the whole season.

Johannessen concluded that, "We're not doing a serial killer of the week thing we just have more balls in the air".

RoboCop actor Peter Weller to join Dexter Season 5

As stated by a closing date and Facebook, RoboCop actor Peter Weller is to join the party of Showtime’s unpredictable crime drama Dexter. He joins Julia Stiles, Johhny Lee Miller, and Shawn Hatosy (click the name to read more) in the production process, which is at the moment underway for a September 26th premiere. Peter Weller was also the main cast of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. This time around Peter Weller will depict “a distressed Miami Metro police officer who gets occupied in an internal affairs investigation.”

He is tagged to turn up in eight of the season’s twelve episodes. Twelve episodes per season is each time too few for this Dexter fan! Note this bit of trivia. Peter Weller’s Buckaroo Banzai co-star John Lithgow figured conspicuously in season four. His acting efforts there received him Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Astonishingly, actress Julie Benz will also return to the upcoming season.

Dexter season 5 casts Jonny Lee Miller

Showtime continues to cast new faces for Dexter season 5.

Showtime is officially publicizing that Miller will appear in 6 episodes as a mysterious man who is indirectly involved in the storyline with Julia Stiles’ character that will bring him into Dexter’s universe. So in other words, the two newbies will be up to something and we probably won’t find out until half way through the season.

Julia Stiles’ character hasn’t been portrayed as a full-on villain because according to Showrunner, Chip Johannessen they “don’t want to try and top John Lithgow,” from last season. The actor succeeded an award winning performance as a sick and twisted killer who got the best of the title character.

As Dexter Season 5 gets more people to sign in, here is yet another cast after Julia Stiles and Shawn Hatosy.

Maria Doyle Kennedy joined Dexter Season 5 as a Nanny of a serial killer.

Maria Doyle Kennedy, recognized for her role in Tudors as Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine Aragon, has signed a role on Dexter season five.

From the wife of a king to the nanny of a serial killer, the Irish actress will help raise Dexter and Rita's kids in season 5.

She is an honours graduate of Trinity College Dublin, In 1988, she married musician Kieran Kennedy, with whom she has four children.

Shawn Hatosy has now been confirmed by Showtime after Julia stiles, that both will appear in the fifth season of Dexter.

Shawn Hatosy is making a pit stop in Miami before returning to Southland: Sources confirm to me exclusively that Shawn Hatosy has booked a multi-episode arc on Dexter.

A Showtime rep declined to divulge details on his character, but a recent Dexter casting call may offer a clue: The drama was seeking a thirtysomething actor to play the recurring role of a no-nonsense FBI agent. UPDATE: So much for my FBI theory. A source close to the show tells me that Hatosy is playing “a bad guy.”

This marks the second major piece of casting for Dexter‘s upcoming fifth season. As I reported last month, Julia Stiles is also joining the cast as a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter.

After completing his Dexter arc later this summer, Hatosy will head immediately into production on Southland‘s 10-episode third season.

Dexter season 5 will start where it left off; with Rita dead. Factors such as Dexter's dark passenger, being a possible suspect in his wife's death, the Trinity killers family knowing him as Kyle Butler and his status as a single father should take this season in an interesting direction. The decision to kill Rita was a shocking one but it opens up many avenues for where this character and series can go, much more so than if she were still alive. This isn't the last we will see of Julie Benz though who will also reprise her role of Rita in some capacity that has yet to be divulged.

Michael C. Hall is cancer-free

Dexter season 5 went into production on 11 June, and gladly, Michael C. Hall is no more a cancer patient because he has almost recovered from it and now ready to work. The actor had begun treatments for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma earlier this year, but as wife and costar Jennifer Carpenter revealed, he’s now healthy.

Jennifer Carpenter told E! News "We've said it over and over that he's in complete remission just so people will stop worrying," . "But still people come up to him asking, 'Are you okay?'"

After being recovered as Michael C. Hall, but as Dexter Morgan has to recover from many many problems in the show. The plot points of Dexter’s 5th season are being kept strictly under wraps, but considering Season 4 ended with the shocking, bloody death of wife Rita, we’re guessing the new episodes aren’t all rainbows and unicorns.

Still, rumours persist that despite her character’s death, Julie Benz will return in some form next year. Of course, Carpenter insisted that she’s being kept in the dark about that particular plot point.

"Julie is one of my very best friends, and I don't know anything about [her coming back]," she said. "I want to know why I'm the last to know everything."

E! News caught up with Benz at the Monte Carlo Film Festival, and she, too, was coy about whether not she would return to Dexter. But she did assure fans that if Rita did come back, it would not be from beyond the grave.

"Rita is not going to be a ghost!” Benz said. “The writers would never do something so cheesy. I am not going to confirm or deny anything, but if she does come back, it would be to move things along.

Julia Stiles confirms to star in 10th episode of Dexter

A press release issued by Showtime today has confirmed that actress Julia Stiles has signed on to star in 10 episodes of Dexter's 12-episode fifth season.

A non-killer identity was the only detail offered for Stiles' role at this time. Showtime's official description doesn't add much more to the mystery character other than she's "a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter." Let your mind run wild with that one.

Julia O'Hara Stiles (born March 28, 1981) is an American stage and film actress. After beginning her career in small parts in a New York City theatre troupe, she has moved on to leading roles in plays by writers as diverse as William Shakespeare and David Mamet. Her film career has included both commercial and critical successes, ranging from teen romantic comedies such as 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) to dark art house pictures such as The Business of Strangers (2001).

The Dexter Season 5 premiere will air on September 26, 2010 exclusively on Showtime. Season 4's Blu-ray and DVD set will hit store shelves a month earlier.

Dexter Season 5 News: Julia Stiles to Join the Cast

From an EW report by Michael Ausiello, It comes into view that actress Julia Stiles is at the moment in talks to become part of America's most favorite TV show Dexter.

According to Meghan Carlson from buddytv.com, Julia Stiles is said to be in advanced talks to play a major, top secret role in the upcoming Dexter Season 5. Right now, its hard to predict that what role she’ll be playing, but we know it’s not going to follow in John Lithgow’s footsteps.

“We don’t want to try and top John Lithgow, so we’re going to change up the forces that Dexter’s going to be dealing with,” As said by Chip Johannessen who is the new show-runner.
It seems like Julie Benz who played Dexter’s wife Rita until she was killed in the season 4 finale will be coming back in the season 5 premiere in September. Not much has been said about how she will return, but it won’t be in a waking vision like Dexter’s father Harry.

Dexter Season 5 Possibilities - Interview with Producer

After season 4 finale which to be precise was Mind Blowing, right away Dexter has left fans wondering and questioning:

Will Dexter be a suspect in Rita's death?
Will his connection to Trinity be found out?
What will happen to Cody and Astor?

Producer Sara Colleton with talk to TV Guide tried to answer a few important questions, including whether or not season five will lift straightaway following Rita's horrible murder.

On why Arthur killed Rita: We left it that way so everyone, based on their own life and their own experiences, would interpret it so it made sense for them. One way to interpret it is that in some bizarre way, Dexter gave Trinity a finality in his situation, that he does this in a bizarre way to trigger Dexter to deal with who he really is. You can only fake it for so long.

On Dexter's relationship with Trinity: Dexter can't say that he knows Trinity killed Rita and that he just killed Trinity. There are a lot of possibilities and they will all be thrown out in the room to be discussed.

On Dexter's season five reaction: [He may go on a killing spree], he may not. Hopefully it will be in what we call the "Dexterous response," which is based in human behavior, but uniquely put through the prism of Dexter's special needs. The fact is that he has children now that he is the sole parent of, and how that affects what he does and the choices he makes.

On Dexter as a suspect: If you know anything about crimes, usually a spouse is involved. We may jump ahead six months and it could be all handled. What we wanted to do is give ourselves something that gave us the widest range of possibilities.
