Eight Lido Restauant & Cafe (Dine, Wine, Unwind) at Johor Bahru.

Eight Lido Restaurant and Cafe (N1.463042 E103.732175) is located along the coastal road - Jalan Skudai of Johor Bahru. Unique name isn't it? It's the lot number of the building, Number 8 along Lido Beach. :)

I was invited by Mr Euginn (Nov 2011) for the foods tasting at the restaurant that night together with others food reviewer and bloggers, it also a good opportunity for me to explore around this nice architecture bungalow house...

Too bad it was dark when I reached the restaurant, I miss the nice panorama view of the Johor Straits...let me show you some photos of the restaurant...

Every corners were decorated nicely and beautiful! The rustic ambience display by the warm light makes the area feel comfort and relax...like the cozy feeling very much!

Once we introduced each others and invited by the Restaurant Manager to the upper lever for some Spanish Tapas.

Everyone were busy talking and chatting before the Tapas serve...

I like the Yummy lamb ball! The shape of beancurd look alike which had a strong cheese taste was really special and nice! Too bad, I didn't get the name of each Tapas...

The Salmon was good with the Citrus Mustard Sauce, but the Rack of Lamb was dry and it was not tender enough...maybe I was the unlucky one...

Lamb shank was tender and Delicious! Everyone like it and we finished it within 5 minutes! The medium rare NZ Tenderloin was nice and flavourful...but I prefer medium...

I was totally Full after the third course! That made me activated my 'spare tank' for the dessert!

Among all, I like the Bread & Butter very much. The Crème Brulee was nice especially the crunchy Caramelized layer, but it was too sweet for me...I like the aroma of the Sangria fruit pudding, too bad cannot finish it due to my 'spare tank' also Full!

Overall, I like the foods tasting organized by Euginn and thank you very much to Mr Allen from Eight Lido. It was a good opportunity and my pleasure to know others bloggers at Johor Bahru.

Made Cafe & Bagus Cafe at Jimbaran Bay, Bali.

After the disappointed sunset at Tanah Lot Temple, we proceed to Jimbaran Bay for dinner. This time we decided to try another cafe/restaurant other than LIA Cafe. The duration took us about 30-45 minutes from Tanah Lot Temple to Jimbaran Bay.

We chose the Made Cafe & Bagus Cafe (S8.78052 E115.16482) which was recommended by our drivers.

The staffs here were friendly, we took the packages for total of 7 adults and 1 child. It included 2 glass of Balinese Red Wine and the seafood....
The foods served on our table about 20 minutes, well...it was fast enough!

At first, the chili and the dark sauce were served on table...then following by the vegetables...

Every dishes served double...
All dishes were Delicious!! I like the baked fish very much! The lobsters were a bit dry but still Nice! We like the Balinese taste and my daughter had a lot of the prawns...all of the dishes went well with the Bintang Beer!
This is one of the recommended Seafood Restaurant at Jimbaran Bay!

The Damage : around IDR800,000 (about MYR285) for 7 adults and 1 child included drinks. That was reasonable!

We took more than 2 hours to enjoy our meals together with the sea breeze...sometimes it's fun to watching the planes take off and landing at the Ngurah Rai International Airport at the other end...

If you visit Jimbaran Bay for seafood dinner, I will recommend you to try this cafe! You won't regret. :)

After the dinner, we said bye-bye to Bali on the next day...Bali, I'll see you again!

Sunset of the Tanah Lot Temple, Bali

Visited the Tanah Lot Temple (S8.62073 E115.08705) again in our 2011 Bali's Trip. This is one of my Favorite places in Bali Island. The purpose of this visit was purely for photography, yeah...I'm trying to catch the spectacular sunset of Tanah Lot Temple...

But that seems like not a good weather for sunset, it was Cloudy...

Bali Sorgawi Hotel at Kuta, Bali

After about 1 hour and 30 minutes travel from Ubud, we reached the Bali Sorgawi Hotel (S8.71066 E115.17131) at Kuta. We chose this hotel was because of it situated in the heart of Kuta town, shopping area is just a stone throw away...and there are many restaurants, cafes and night life happening here. But the main reason was it's nearby the Bali's Airport.

After the narrow alley (above) along Jalan Legian at Kuta, the Bali Sorgawi Hotel appear in front of us! Our check-in was smooth and we had a short rest in the hotel...

I like the Balinese design very much!
After glance through the hotel surrounding, we proceed to our room which was at the first floor. Really impressed by the 'Clean and shining' corridor...!

Our room was the last at 1st floor...yes! It was number '205'.
Every room has 2 wooden chair and a small table outside the room, it was the nice place where I had my 'Bintang' beer during night time! :)

We took the Family room with bed configuration of 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, package included simple breakfast to 3 persons, Nice fried noodle! (mee goreng). It cost USD60 (about MYR188.00) per day. Well, it was a reasonable price and the room was Spacious!

The booking was simple enough by just sent an enquiry via email to the hotel, no deposit is required. They even have airport transfer if you does not engage a driver. If you pay by credit card, 3% extra will impose in the hotel bill.

The room was really spacious enough for 3 persons, and the room also provided the 'international travel adapter' for every visitor from the World, that was Great!

We were satisfied with it except...the 'Unbearable stain' in the bathtub and the 'rusty' wash basin sink! And I can't find any glass in the room! Weird?!

The staffs here were not quite freindly (hardly to see their smile)...to my experience. Because they don't provide Hot water to the room, when I call to the room service...they asked me to get it myself at the cafe area. Maybe...it's the hotel policy!

Anyway, we were OK for A night stay here, I had to say it again...it was really convenient because of the location.

Naughty Nuri's Warong at Ubud, Bali

The Naughty Nuri's Warong (S8.49243 E115.25328) is located along the Jalan Raya Saggingan of Ubud town, Bali. This is the restaurant I missed on my Bali's Trip 2010, so by hook or by crook I definitely want to visit it in this 2011 trip! Just because of their Famous BBQ Spare Ribs!

We decided to have our early lunch on our forth day of Bali's trip. Once we checked out from Sri Bungalows Ubud...we moving towards the restaurant immeditely!

Too early for lunch (about 11.30am) when we were there and not crowded at all! Thanks for the suggestion from Mr Agung! According to him, the restaurant will be very crowded during dinner session, that was the reason we avoided.

The area is not spacious as other restaurant, but it was comfort enough. And I like the decoration!
While waiting for our 'BBQ Spare Ribs', we did ordered the local fried rice and another dish which I forgot the name...it was served with beef, cheese and torttilla bread...

The Spare Ribs of Naughty Nuri's Warong, Bali

All the foods were Delicious! The simple Fried Rice was cooked just nice with the local taste, we ordered double! The beef was tender and goes well with the cheese, Yummy! And the 'BBQ Spare Ribs' were tender and well marinated with the sauce, Superbly Delicious!!

Apologies from me because I only remember the price of the BBQ Spare Ribs which was IDR80,000.00 (about MYR28.00/USD8.80) for one plate, I forgot the others...but the price was reasonable!

This is the Marvellous BBQ Spare Ribs available at Ubud, Bali, and also the Best I ever have! I will Definitely try it as long as I visit Ubud again!

* The taste might not suitable for everyone, different people different taste.

Barong and Keris Cultural Dance at Ubud, Bali

The next session after the Holy Water Purifying, we continued our Culture Dance Show at Ubud - The Barong and Keris Dance (S8.51051 E115.26473). The performing area is located not too far away from the restaurant (Bebek Bengil) we going to have our dinner...

The ticket for the show is IDR 80,000 that will be about MYR28.00/USD8.80 per person.

We were there about 15 miutes earlier and we were fortunate enough to had our seats at the first row.

Group of men came out from the gate before the show start, and ther were the peoples who play the musical instruments.

Once the music started, the show began...

The 'Barong' came out from the gate, well...it was expected.

There was a story within the show, but too bad I wasn't understand it...and I can't even search it on the net...

According to Wiki, 'The Barong is often portrayed with two monkeys'. Maybe the monkey below was one of them...

Even I don't understand about the story behind, but we enjoyed the show very much! Especially their costumes...

The show was ended after about an hour, we enjoyed it very much! And all of us also carving for food after the show...haha!

The show was worth watching and it's one of the main attraction of Bali.

Pura Tirta Empul (The Temple of Holy Water) at Tampaksiring, Bali

The Pura Tirta Empul (S8.41586 E115.31516) at Tampaksiring is situated about 18KM from the BAS Coffee Farm. It was our next destination after the Luwak Coffee session. The place was calm and peaceful during our visit, and not crowded at all...

The Legend of the Temple :-
"The sacred spring was created by the god Indra. His forces had been poisoned by Mayadanawa, so he pierced the earth to create a fountain of immortality to revive them.

An inscription dates the founding of a temple at the site to 926 AD. Ever since - for more than a thousand years - the Balinese have come to bathe in the sacred waters for healing and spiritual merit." Source from here.

There are many statues around the garden and temple area from the entrance.

Beside the statues, there are also many signages...and we have to read carefully and follow the procedures...

Caution : You are entering the Holy Temple, please do not littering...

It is the rectangular pool carved of stone. The water in the pool was Crystal clear! Where we can easily see the rocks at the bottom of the pool...

Just for that clean and crystal clear water, we (me, my friend & his elder son) decided to do the purifying like others...:) So we asked Mr Agus to help us on the ceremony and tell us the procedures...

All of us must wear with the 'Sarong' from the temple before get into the pool. There are many lockers around the area for you to keep your valueble items...each locker cost IDR 3,000.00 (about MYR1 / USD 0.33).

Once everything ready, we slowly soaked into the first pool (There are 2 pools at the temple). BEWARE! It was slippery! I slipped from the step and falled directly into the Ice Cold pool! Haha! We had to finished from the first fountain until the last fountain in the purifying pool, total of 22 fountains (if I'm not mistaken). I was shivering after the fifth fountains...it was extremely cold! WOW!
It tooks about 30 minutes to finished the purifying and we quickly changed and warm up our body! Yes, too cold for me! :)

Then we started our tour at the other side of the temple...

There were some Balinese Hinduism praying ceremony during our visit...

We passed through the pool of the sacred spring water, the spring water is continue from the pool non-stop more than thousand years ago...

Before we reach the exit of the temple, we came to another pool which full of koi...and there were some souvenirs shops beside the pool...

It was a life experience for us in the purifying process of the temple, the skin was smooth and clean after bathing from the spring water! I will do it again if I re-visit the temple.

If you don't mind, you might want to try the purifying in the Ice Cold spring water pool! :)

The Process of Luwak Coffee at BAS Coffee Farm, Bali

The BAS Coffee Farm is the place I will Not miss every time I visit Bali! It's just because fo the Luwak Coffee. You can read my previous visit here : BAS Bali Coffee Farm.

We were lucky this time, because we can see some activities at the area where they process the Luwak Coffee. (The area was empty during our last visit)

He was seperating the 'male' and 'female' coffee beans...

According to the local, the 'male' coffee beans is taste much more stronger caffeine than the 'female' coffee beans...

For me...I could not differentiate the male and the female at all! Haha! Will you?

All the beans will sent to another area for final process after this...

After visited the process area, we were proceed to the 'nice' coffee area for our Luwak (Civet) Coffee. It's one of Favorite Coffee drinking area. They served the same package where the Luwak Coffee together with small five cups of other taste of coffee...

The coffee served on table less than 10 minutes, and I enjoyed it very much especially the Luwak Coffee.

Enjoying the coffee in this cooling coffee farm is a Total Different Experience compare with Starbucks and Coffee Bean outlet in our country, it's surrounded with Green and especially located on the hill which I like the most!
We took almost an hour just to taste the coffee slowly and I did purchased a few packs of Luwak Coffee before we leave. :)

Another visit to Babi Guling - Warung Ibu Oka, Ubud - Bali

My second visit to the Warung Ibu Oka for Bali's Babi Guling (Suckling pig). You can view my first visit here. The shop located at the end of Monkey Forest Street of Ubud, please refer to my previous post for GPS Coordinates.

The shop still crowded as usual, we were quite lucky to had a table inside...

There was also a media shooting during our visit. Ya...the Famous Babi Guling at Bali Island!

I ordered the Babi Guling Istimewa (Special) with rice just like before, and I enjoy the meal very much! Especially the gravy...
Some peoples might not like it and some said it's just normal...that will depends on individual preferences.

Anyway, I satisfied with it. But...I might not visit on my next Bali's trip, the reason is I want to try the Babi Guling at some other places at Bali Island...

Strolling around Monkey Forest Street of Ubud, Bali

Strolling along the Monkey Forest Street (Ubud, Bali) is one of our enjoyment. We decided to walk from the place we stayed to the end of the street, please take note of the colourful flower along the street and don't step on it. :)

There are many shop around the street including...convenience store, tour agency, restaurants and many more...

Restaurants and pubs...

Some of it has a small temple on their rooftop, you can recognize it easily by the Balinese design...just like shop below...

I also noticed some of the shop under renovation and they make use of the Lava stones for decoration. They also make use of it for all the small statue, you can noticed the colour along the way...

Beside all these unique buildings, the area also has many plants that make it looks Green!

The Ubud area is fill with tourists during day time, there are many shopping area including the famous Ubud market the end of the street. If you haven't walk along the street, do try it! I like it very much! :)

Simple breakfast at Sri Bungalows Ubud, Bali.

A simple breakfast was provided by Sri Bungalows Ubud in the 2nd day in the morning where you can choose from the breakfast menu. We had a banana pancake, toasted bread, egg, some fruits and the Bali coffee.

It was a relax morning for us, we took our time to enjoy the simple breakfast at the cafe area...we planed not to visit anywhere in the morning and have some street walk and shopping along Ubud. So all of us strolling lazily after our breakfast around the Monkey Forest street of Ubud, Bali.

Sri Bungalows Ubud at Ubud, Bali.

The Sri Bungalows Ubud (S8.51334 E115.26092) is located along the Monkey Forest street of Ubud town, Bali. (booking online through hotel.com)
After about 1 hour 20 mins journey from Kuta, we reached the Sri Bungalows Ubud almost 10pm (local time), and the reception counter said we had been upgraded to the Super Deluxe room due to the deluxe room was fully booked! It was a surprised for us! :)

But the distance from the lobby to our bungalows was about 400 meters! My goodness! But we were satisfy once we saw the room setting...

The room had a another upper level where the two queen size beds located. The view was very nice from the windows!

There was no air-condition on the upper level, only equipped with one ceiling fan. But it was cooling enough...

Beside the main balcony at the entrance, there was another small balcony (with one fridge) at the other side of the room...where I had my Bintang beer every night! :)

Along the way from the room to the lobby, we were really surprised with the Nice landscaping! Green environment!

We were satisfied with the bungalows and the services provided (free Wifi to the room). I did noticed the security guard patroling the bungalows area every hour in night time till morning, that made us feel safety! Great!
There are many bungalows around the Ubud area, we will try to stay at some others bungalows in our next visit!

Don't fool by the outlook of the main entrance, the beautiful scenery is behind it!

Malioboro Restaurant (Pressurized Cooked Chicken) at Bali Island, Indonesia

Malioboro Restaurant (S8.73838 E115.17065) is located along Jalan Raya Kediri of Kuta - Bali Island. Which was our first stop and only about 1KM away from the Airport. It was also the place we met Mr Agung and he recommended this restaurant to us.

The area was nice with simple setup with the good service.

We placed our order immediately with the recommendation from Mr Agung...

* Pressurized Chicken (Non-spicy and spicy) (Signature Dish)

* Peanuts Omelette (Non-spicy and spicy) (Signature Dish)

* Special fish (Signature Dish)

* Steam fish

* The local Sambal Anchovies with petai

All the dishes served was Delicious! We were very satisfied and enjoy the meal especially the Unique Chicken and Fish. Appreciated by the recommendation from Mr Agung.
The Damage was about 450,000.00 Rupiah (MYR160.00) for 7 adults and 1 child. Reasonable!

It was because we will take about 1 hour 30 minutes from Kuta to Ubud, therefore it's advise to take our dinner here before we start the journey...

I will visit it again on my next trip to Bali if time allow...

We visited Bali Island for 4 days 3 nights vacation again on the June 2011. Our first visit was almost year ago, and you can read it here : Bali 2010.
My friend's family followed us on this recent trip to Bali, our itinerary was more relax this time and our vacation only took 4 days 3 nights. Anyway, our objective was to taste the local food as much as we can and walk around as far as we can go! It was a Blissful holiday for us!

Day 1 :-
* Touched down at Ngurah Rai International Airport - Denpasar at 6.30pm local time, picked up by the drivers from Mr Agung Wijaya.
* Dinner at Malioboro Restaurant, Kuta.
* Heading to Ubud and check in to Sri Bungalows Ubud.
* Free and easy.

Day 2 :-
* Simple breakfast at Sri Bungalows, Ubud.
* Walk along the Monkey Forest Street, Ubud.
* Early lunch at Babi Guling Ibu Oka, Ubud.
* Tegalalang Rice Terrace. (Please refer to my 2010 trip)
* Kintamani & Lake View Restaurant (Please refer to my 2010 trip)
* BAS Coffee Farm
* Pura Thirta Empul - Tampaksiring
* Back to Ubud and continue on the Barong and Keris Dance.
* Dinner at Bebek Bengil - Dirty Duck Diner. (Please refer to my 2010 trip)
* Free and easy.

Day 3 :-
* Breakfast and check out Sri Bungalows, Ubud.
* Have a walk along the street and shopping.
* Early lunch at Naughty Nuri's Warung, Ubud.
* Heading to Kuta, check in Bali Sorgawi Hotel.
* Tanah Lot Temple.
* Seafood dinner at Made Cafe & Bagus Cafe, Jimbaran Bay.
* Free and easy at Kuta.

Day 4 :-
* Breakfast at Bali Sorgawi Hotel.
* Shopping along Jalan Legian, Kuta.
* Ngurah Rai International Airport - Denpasar (12.00pm) and Bye Bye Bali!

All of us were enjoyed and satisfied with this trip! And of course, it won't be Perfect without the humble and responsible drivers who brought us around!
We confident with Mr Agung Wijaya services and decided to engaged him again. My daughter keep on remind me that possible to ask Mr Agus as our driver again? YES, Mr Agung fulfilled my daughter wish! :)

Mr Agus (+6281353222565 agoesbagus@yahoo.com) was the driver cum tour guide who brought us around at Bali for the second time, he's still our favorite driver! Especially my daughter like him Very Much!
I did ask my friend about the service of his driver (Mr Ketut who arranged by Mr Agung), and my friend replied : "Two Thumb Up!!"
I rate them as the 'Humble', 'Helpful' and 'Friendly' drivers at Bali.

Well, if we visit Bali again in next year 2012, I will still call Mr Agung Wijaya! :)

The Bar is well decorated with a English Theme and provide A cozy and relaxing environment. I like the outdoor area very much! But it's a bit warm especially at the dry evening...
It will be Perfect if it's seaview...:)

Every time I visit the bar, I will definitely take a look of the 'mini bar counter' which decorated at the other corner of the bar. It has a special compartment for wine...and I just can't stop looking at it! Like it very much!

Care Haven Children's Home at Taman Bukit Rinting, Masai - Johor.

Care Haven Children's Home (N1 29.701 E103 51.597) is located at 2, Jalan Tembusu 20, Tmn Bukit Rinting, Masai - Johor. We were invited for the Mooncake Festival on September 2011. This was my first time celebrate Mid-Autumn party with all the orphan and single parent's children.

It was corwded when we were there...especially the 'Lok-lok' food truck. Beside that, there were also buffet dinner for everyone.

The Wall Street Bar also sponsored the curry chicken for the night which was Very Tasty! I had it double! :) I saw some helpful guys carried the donated rice and foods into the centre during that night, peoples are continue support the Orphanage by doing some charites and donations.

I had a chat with one of the Principle - Mr Tham about the centre...there are total of 76 children at the centre for the moment. Age from 3 to 17 years old. And most of them are orphan and portion of the children are abandoned by their single parent.
The centre also has A Secondary school at Taman Setia Indah (Johor Bahru) for the children, but it's all depend on the kids decision. The Principles will let the children to decide their own school.

The Principles (Mr Tham and Miss Sim) sacrified thier own time and willing to take care for the unfortunate children, arrange their eduction and responsible for them.

I salute their 'Spirit'!

There was a Magic Show on that night which performed by the Magician - Mr Jason Hoon. Everyone like him very much because he really mixed with all the children!

After the show, all the children were out from the room and I was surprised to see some of them continued to learned from the notes hanging on the grill...

During that time, the 'Lok-lok' truck was totally empty! Not even a single stick left!

I met the young boy who only 4 years old and infected by some rare disease which cannot be cure (report from Hospital)...all the children are praying for him frequently...and he is well take care by the centre at the moment...
We are very fortunate to have our parents and family beside us, but not every children are! Just like the children at Care Haven...they are depend on the donations from the public which help them to continue their life journey...

The purpose of this blog post is to let everyone know the Care Haven Children's Home and it might just another few steps away from your house. Do our part as much as we can to help the unfortunate children, they need our help!

Famous Soon Lai Kuey Chap at Batu Pahat, Johor.

Soon Lai 'Kuey Chap' (顺来) (N1.84924 E102.92769) is located at at the junction of Jalan Mohd Salleh and Jalan Fatimah of Batu Pahat, Johor. It's just next to Silver Inn Hotel and diagonally opposite the Famous Tian Hao Gong Temple (the locals called 'Mah-Coh Keng') at Batu Pahat.

We were recommended by my buddy from B.Pahat and he said this is the must try food when visit the Batu Pahat small town. The shop start business from morning till early evening. We were lucky enough they still open when we were there at 3pm...

It was a simple and traditional type of coffee shop and not crowded during that time, we placed our order immediately!

The boss was busy preparing the meal...

It's basically a pork intestine mixed with some tau-fu and stewed egg. The Kuey Tiaw (Rice noodle) served was not the ordinary type but in bigger pieces...(photo below)

Well, the Kuey Chap was Delicious! The pork intestines were well stewed and tender, tasty and Nice! Furthermore, you won't feel thirsty after it...less MSG. All of us enjoy the meal very much especially with the Very Reasonable price!

The business is operating for more than a decade till today, before they move into the shop, they were selling the Kuey Chap business by the hawker stall along the street...it's run by all family members, and the boss is their father, he was friendly and allow me to snap one of his handsome photo. :)

Mooncake Festival Party @ Macroview Care Centre

Time flies....I was attended the Mooncake Festival Party at Macroview Care Centre again! The respond is getting better and better compare with the previous year. The centre was packed with peoples even around 6pm.

The parents were having their foods and waiting for the Party to begin!

The party started with the simple workout of a group of children...

The shows continued with groups and groups children on the stage...they had the singing, dancing, telling the story, ballet, magic performance, diabolo performance, Pop dance and also parents performance.

After 3-4 hours show, the party came into the candles session where I like the most every time I visit Macroview Care Centre Mooncake Festival.
All the children found their comfort place and started to light up the candles one-by-one...the whole area was quiet down and I felt the same atmosphere every year...Peace!

Visited the restaurant for Japanese BBQ dinner on one of the Saturday night, and it was crowded with customers!
The decoration is nice and every table provided with a chimney which suck out all the BBQ smoke.

They have many type of different foods and package and we decided for the Japanese Seafood BBQ package. The foods served on our table fast and the staffs provide good service!

After all the foods served, the waitress put one unique and small BBQ pit on the table. That was really cute! :)

The BBQ seafood and others were Nice & Delicious! Especially the sauce! We were satisfied with the foods and the service here! I like the pork, it was tender and juicy! Yummy! All of us enjoy the BBQ session that night!
The Damage : MYR150.00 for 4 adults and 2 children included drinks. Well, it was reasonable and cheaper than the Korean BBQ Restaurant we visited before but there are totally different on the foods and the taste.

They have total of 3 restaurants at Johor Bahru located at 3 different places. Another 2 restaurant are located at Taman Sentosa and Taman Sutera Utama.

Chinese Lion dance Competition on July 2011 at Jalan Hiok Nee, Johor Bahru.

Jalan Tan Hiok Nee (N1 27.385 E103 45.814) was having the Chinese Lion Dance Competition (High Poles) on the street for the first time in the month of July 2011.

There were total of 8 teams from other states of Malaysia participated in the competition. We were there slight late because we missed the first Lion from Malacca...

The whole area was packed with peoples! Luckily I found a nice spot just beside the poles.

Every participants were seriously performed in the competition, and that was really a nice show for the night at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee!
It also an eye opener for me because I'm never be so close to the competition area!

It was Tough for me to take the photo that evening because of shooting fast moving object in low light situation. Most of my photos turn out blurred!

The organizers had warning those photographers that 'Please Don't Use Your Flash Light!'...but seems like none of them got the message! Everyone still Flash like nobody business!

The Lions came out one-by-one and they did the Best they can on the Poles, but unfortunately...some of them fall down! (cause by their skill or the flash?! I'm not sure...)

Too bad I had to watched the exciting show through the lens that night...

I really admired their fantastic skill (all the 8 teams), and they did well through all the difficulties on it! One of the amazing moment was when the lion bend down... (below)

Total of 5 Lion's teams had fall from the poles that night, and most of them fall down at the highest pole at the back...

The Result : 2nd runner up belong to the Lion's team from Kelapa Sawit, Johor. 1st runner up was grabbed by the Kuala Lumpur team and the Champion belong to the Team from 'Kuan Sen Kong' Temple - Muar, they are also the World Champion for the past few years.

We were really impressed by the skill when they 'Fly', 'Jump' and 'Dance' on the poles!

We were totally enjoyed the 2 hours Lion dance show that night especially my daughter! She was very excited! Haha!
Hopefully they will organize this type of event every year!

Kim Chi & BBQ Korean Restaurant at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru.

Kim Chi & BBQ Korean Restaurant (N1.48170 E103.77479) is located along Jalan Perang of Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru. The restaurant is crowded during weekend, but they have different levels dining area for customers.

The Smokeless Environment was great! We waited for about 10 minutes for our table....

It is a BBQ style Korean restaurant just like some of the Japan Restaurant around Johor Bahru area.

We oedered the package which was served with : Pork Spare Ribs with bone, Thick Sliced Pork Belly Special, Roasted Saury, Ginseng Chicken Soup and Kimchee Pancake. (stated for 2-3 person) And also with all the Korean small side dishes...

The waiter/waitress here were friendly and one of them lighted up the charcoal to prepared the BBQ pork for our table. Their service was good!

Before the pork ready, we already finish the Roasted Saury and some of side dishes. Well, the Nice aroma from the BBQ pork! Less than about 10 minutes, the both type of pork were ready on the table!

After they completed the pork, the Ginseng Chicken Soup and the Kim Chi Pancake were served...perfect timing!

We were satisfied all the foods served by the restaurant. The Ginseng Chicken Soup was Special! The Saury was tasty, BBQ Pork was Delicious! My wife and daughter like the Kim chi pancake very much! I like the BBQ Pork Belly very much!
But...the portion served was too much for small family like us! We really sorry about some wasted foods on the table. The package was just nice to serve 3-4 adults, but we were only 2 adults and 1 child.
The Damage : RM120.00 included drinks and white rice.

The boss - Mr Park Sang Jun was a very friendly guy and he provide the Yakult healthy drink for every children for Free!

Beside the package, they also serve Ala Carte foods. This was a nice experience for us to dine in the restaurant, especially with the nice & friendly staffs around!

We will definitely visit the restaurant again! Of course with more peoples...
