hey folks … jan here!

one of my new year resolutions … or rather … a 2012 creative inspiration … is to continue my photographic journey. i will be the first to admit that i have a TON of images that just sit in folders and never see a tweak, edit or debut. at times … its just becoming inspired to create something spectacular or to learn a new post-edit trick. i have to say, i truly adore black and white images. in fact … black and white images receive the most comments when showing families their images. there is that initial impact … there’s something special. here are just a few images from last summer’s vacations that were just waiting to have fun with …

… for a little extra … here’s a little hint as to what i used … i’m loving lightroom 3 and presets for my post-edit process. i recently found a spectacular set of black and white presets from an australian gal known as bohemian secrets. she’d love to share her secrets with you as well. please visit her at bohemian secrets … you won’t be disappointed! happy processing ~j.
