DUMPSTER IN DENVER 4 TO THINGS EXPECT

We often get calls about needing a dumpster and many new customers are unsure of what to expect. To make our services more clear we will explain the process step by step here.

1. The customer will call to order a dumpster.

When the customer calls to order we will need: Where they got our name, Customer Name, address, major cross streets , 2 phone numbers, preferred deliver date, what material is being disposed of, container placement info and billing information

2. We will deliver the dumpster

When we deliver the dumpster we can call prior or place in previously specified area.
If the customer is onsite, our drivers can collect payment and present the invoice.

3. The customer has ten days to fill the container and call us to schedule a pick up.

4. The customer can contact us at any time with any additional questions or concerns about the dumpster or the process.

Plant based shredding

Plant Based Shredding is when we pick up confidential documents from your location and shred them at our facility. We can provide containers or we can pick up banker boxes. Once we will schedule a pick up our driver will load his truck with your materials and bring them to our facility securely.

Once picked up, containers with your documents will remain in our locked box truck until it arrives at our facility. The facility is completely enclosed with locking access doors, and is perimeter monitored by ADT Securities and video monitored with Global Network.

Upon the arrival of materials for destruction, the containers are weighed and/or counted for record keeping. Once recorded, they are then staged to begin the shredding process. The material is fed directly into the shredder processing about 3,000 pounds per hour and baled. Once materials are baled they are shipped directly to a paper company where the material is turned into pulp to make recycled products. A Certificate of Destruction is issued with the certified weight that verifies that the materials were destroyed in compliance with the 1974 Federal Privacy Act.

Recycling Fundraiser, Newspspers and Magazines

If your organization is looking for fundraising ideas, consider a recycling program with Curbside.

Our new recycling fundraiser is a great way to help your cause. It allows your supporters to help your organization while helping the environment at the same time, giving them an extra reason to feel good about their contribution. Even better, it doesn't cost your contributors anything to donate, since they would otherwise be throwing away the old newspapers and magazines that you're asking them to donate. Recycling is an easy and free way for your contributors to help your cause, while keeping their old newspapers and magazines out of landfills.

When you sign up for the recycling program, Curbside places a six-yard collection container at the location of your choice. Then you spread the word. Tell your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, and other targets of your fundraising efforts to deposit their old newspapers and magazines in the collection container. Remind them that only newspaper and magazine materials will be accepted! If other trash is put into your collection bin, it can lower the amount of your recycling rebate.

You can arrange to have Curbside empty your collection container on a regular schedule or you can call to have your recycling picked up when the container is filled. Multiple containers are available as necessary, if your fundraising drive receives a lot of traffic, and container locations can be changed as needed for your convenience. You can run your fundraiser for as long as you like, based on the needs of your organization. Weather one week or 2 years we can adjust to your organizations needs.

Each month, you will receive a rebate for your recycling materials based on the weight of the paper products your organization has collected that month. The value of your recycling materials is calculated based on the Official Board Market rate; the OBM is an industry-wide publication used as a reference to determine the fair market price of paper products, sorted by grade. The newspapers and magazines collected for this recycling program are considered "News 8" grade. Curbside uses the high end of the Southwest region's market value range to determine pricing. To give you an idea of the rebate you can expect, a full collection container holds approximately one ton of newspaper material.

Roll Off Placement

When placing roll off containers Curbside makes sure the container is not blocking driveways, bike lanes, or sidewalks. If we are placing the roll off in an ally or back yard it is necessary for there to be room for a car to pass by, or our drivers will not place it.

When placed in the street roll off dumpsters can be hazardous for neighboring drivers, place dumpsters so that they will not disrupt traffic. To avoid accidents we have reflective tape on the sides of the containers. Many cities in the metro area will enforce regulations against such placement and do not allow placement of containers on certain streets that are very busy, or may require permits.

Our drivers can place the containers close to garage for shingles to be thrown in easily or room to open the door for household debris to be walked in. While placing the roll off in an area with phone lines overhead there has to be enough clearance.

If placing in a yard we warn that the grass may be disturbed due to the weight of the truck. We are not liable so we advise against it

Our drivers will always do their best to place containers to make your project go smoothly. If you have specific directions for placement we can have the driver call you prior to placement so you can be onsite to direct them.

Roll Off Dumpster Restrictions

Roll off dumpsters have restrictions for the following reasons; safety hazards, to avoid damage to property, and to protect the environment. The following are some restrictions and reasons we have them.

Do not over fill the bin - (fill only to the fill line). Overflow will be removed at customer's expense and a trip fee will be assessed.
If some of the material puts a hole in the tarp, or is unable to be covered by the tarp it may fall out while driving and put other cars in danger of falling debris. Also, littering is illegal.

General trash is limited to a maximum of 6 tons and a overtonnage fee per ton thereafter, unless specified on paperwork. All heavy material - cannotn exceed the maximum weight of 10 tons, this includes, but is not limited to; concrete, dirt, rock, gravel, sand, etc.

Due to D.O.T. regulations and state law, heavy material is allowed in the 10 yd container only. Any D.O.T. penalties or fines due to over loading will be the responsibility of the customer. If you go over 10 tons the driver is put in danger.

Do not put any type of hazardous, toxic, flammable liquids, solids or gasses in bin. This includes, but is not limited to; paint, gas cans, aerosol, Freon, propane bottles, etc. Failure to comply will result in a hazardous removal fee. No appliances with Freon, no tires, no oil

It may rain and the container is not waterproof, so any hazardous materials would leak out on the ground causing environmental hazards. The bin may leak residue at the next location and the landfill has regulations on what can be dumped to keep the landfill, and neighboring environment safe for future generations.

The picture shows what happens when oil is put into the container and then dumped. This will also leak out while the bin is at its future locations.

Do not wash out concrete in our containers.

If you wash out concrete in our container when it dries it is difficult to get off. Removal fees will be assessed and are the responsibility of the customer that filled the container.

Roll Off Trash Dumpsters and How to Rent Them

Do you have a ton of material that needs to go to the trash? It keeps building up and you don’t know how to get rid of all of it?

Renting a roll off dumpster may be a good choice for you. Roll off dumpsters are large open top containers that you can put all of that material in and then have it picked up and hauled to the landfill.

To find out what size of container you might need you would need to find out approx how much space the material will take up. Our smallest container can hold 336 sq feet of material, or 10 square yards. This might work out for someone who needs to clean out their house if they are moving or have accumulated an abundance of yard debris. Our largest container is 1155 square feet or 40 square yards. It would be useful if you are doing a large construction project.

A question that we are often asked about the roll off containers is; do they have doors? They do, there is a door that opens the whole back of the container. This way you can walk or roll a wheel barrel into the container and fill it from the back.

When you are moving your home or business there are many things to consider. Often one of the last things people think of is how to remove their excess trash. But trash disposal for relocation is something that should be taken into consideration.

Unless you have a cleanup crew following you out of the space, you are going to need to do something with the trash which is left behind. If you have new people moving into your home or office they will not be pleased with a huge pile of trash welcoming them to their new destination.

Most of us don’t think we have that much trash. Whether you are moving into a new home or a new office, the volume of the trash often surprises. People moving out from their space are generally not likely to leave large amounts of trash around, however there is that possibility so there may be the issue of trash disposal once relocated.

What is the roll off containers weight limit and why?

Roll off containers are made to be strong enough to hold many different types of material. However problems may arise when too much heavy material is put in to the containers.

Heavy materials such as rocks, dirt, bricks, concrete, and asphalt can get as heavy as a ton per yard. Most of our trucks are not made to pick up containers more than 10 tons.

If too much heavy material is put into our larger containers we may not be able to pick them up, because they are too heavy or the uneven weight distribution in the container can weigh the truck down unevenly. If our drivers try to pick up containers with uneven weight distribution it can cause the truck to tip over causing thousands of dollars in damage to the truck.

It is also illegal to move more than 10 tons on streets and highways. If we get pulled over or sent through a weigh station with more than 10 tons it means a very large ticket that will get passed on to the customer that filled the container.

It is very dangerous to haul so much weight because it makes it difficult to stop, and turn safely. This is why the maximum weight we allow in our roll off containers is 10 tons and why we only allow heavy materials such as rock, dirt, brick, and concrete in the 10 yard.

While using the internet it makes it easier for identity thieves if you unknowingly give them the information that they need. To make sure that you don’t get your identity stolen, you should follow a few guidelines and always be cautious while you are using the internet.

If it is optional, specific information such as social security number should not be given out.
Make sure the site you are using is reputable, and has a privacy policy.
Unless you have verified the site as safe, and it is necessary, do not give out your personal information.
Pop ups can be harmful to your computer and may leek your personal information. It is not a good idea to click on them.
Keep an up to date reliable antivirus on your computer, and update your software regularly. There are some viruses that can scan your computer for personal information.
It is not a good idea to post your personal information in chat rooms, instant messages or online conversations. Always avoid doing so even if they say they are secure.

If you follow these guidelines the chances of your identity being stolen from the internet will be decreased. With more activity in credit card and bank accounts during the holidays, criminals have an excellent opportunity to sneak charges that may be over looked on to your accounts. If you fail to notice a fraudulent credit card charge within sixty (60) days of its first appearance on your account, you will be responsible for paying the charge. And the longer a fraudulent bank transaction is not reported, the more you may have to pay.

2. CARRY YOUR CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARD, DRIVER’S LICENSE, CASH, CHECKS, AND ANYTHING WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IN THE SAFEST POSSIBLE MANNER.

3. STAY ALERT! KNOW WHO IS AROUND YOU?

Victims of crime often state that the perpetrator came out of nowhere. Pay attention to whom and what is around you as you walk to your car, leave your home or a business. If you aren’t comfortable with your surroundings, leave or get someone to walk with you.

Clever criminals will remove cards from racks and collect the information from the card, return the card to the display, and then use the phone number from the card to determine when the card has been activated. They then use the information they collected from the card to make purchases. The safest cards are those which have not been on an open display; but regardless of where you get them, all cards should be carefully inspected before purchase.

5. CUT UP GIFT BOXES BEFORE YOU PUT THEM OUT WITH THE TRASH/RECYCLING, OR TAKE THEM DIRECTLY TO A RECYCLING FACILITY.

A box that contained a new TV, stereo, IPod, firearm, jewelry, or other item easily sold on the street may attract a burglar that is searching for his/her next victim. Don’t entice a burglar by advertising that your home has just added items of value.

How Much Material Do Roll Off Containers Hold

The amount of material that roll-off containers can hold varies by the size. Our ten yard containers can hold and haul up to 10 tons of material. This means that if you put general household trash into the container it would not reach the weight limit, however if you put dirt, rock, brick, or concrete into the container it would weigh about 10 tons.

We can only put the heavy material into this container because our trucks don't have enough axels to carry over 10 tons of material over the road legally. If this material does get put into the larger containers our drivers may not be able to pick up the containers.

If they are able to pick containers that are over 10 tons they run the risk of being pulled over and sent to a weigh station. If this happens they can incur large fines. This would be passed onto the customer that ordered the container. Our restrictions are posted on the back of our invoices as well as on our website. We do our best to get the correct size of container to fit your needs by asking a series of questions before we give a quote, and letting you know about overweight charges.

Residential Drop Off Shredding and Recycling

Anyone in the Denver metro and surrounding areas can drop off shredding and recycling at Curbside . Curbside shreds and recycles paper; we recycle cardboard, magazines, books, newspapers, aluminum, plastics and chipboard. We do not pay out for recycling aluminum because we do not do enough quantity that would allow us to.

To recycle with us you would just need to stop by our office to let us know that you are here. We will then have someone come to your car and help you unload your materials. If you are shredding your documents you would need to sign in while at the office so that we can email you a certificate of destruction. Curbside asks that you DO NOT leave your material outside our fence while we are not here to receive it from you. This may allow others to view your personal information.

Our office is located at 15686 E Batavia Dr Aurora CO 80011, and our major cross streets are Colfax and Chambers. We are open Monday through Friday 8-4 and Saturday 8-12 for delivery. We are only open for pick up Monday through Friday. Recycling is becoming more and more important for society. Help the environment and earn money for your school, business or organization by recycling newspapers and magazines! Curbside Recycling makes it easy to get started by providing the container, emptying it when it is filled, and paying you based on the amount of paper collected and its grade. All you have to do is choose the location then Curbside recycling will handle the rest.

The container is large enough to hold six cubic yards of material yet is small enough to take up very little space. You should place your 6-yard container where those who wish to contribute can do so easily, preferably with space to unload at least one car at a time, as paper in bulk can be very heavy. Once you contact Curbside Recycling, we will deliver the container and place it where you need it.

The 6-yard recycling container can hold approximately two tons of paper. If your drive is successful and the container fills up before the appointed collection day, Curbside Recycling will come and empty the container so you can fill it up again. You can arrange a pickup time with Curbside Recycling ahead of time, or simply call when you are ready to have the container emptied. For ongoing recycling drives, Curbside Recycling will add up the total weight of paper collected each month and pay you on a set schedule.

Customers often call with common questions about the do's and dont's for our containers. We would like to help out and answer these questions. The following is a list of the most common questions that we get about renting our roll off dumpsters.

How much material can I put into CRI's Roll off dumpsters?

The container can be filled to the level fill lines. All materials must be inside the dumpster by law and all loads must have a tarp over them. Customer will be responsible for removing excess material from containers and possible trip fees.

What is the weight limit for CRI's containers?

General trash in all of our containers limited to a maximum of 6 tons and $25 per ton thereafter. Heavy material CANNOT exceed the maximum weight of 10 tons, and we can only put this material into the 10 yard container. Heavy material includes but is not limited to; concrete, dirt, rock, gravel, sand, etc. Customers are responsible for any D.O.T. penalties or fines due to over loading.

How do I know when I have filled the container too much?

If you fill the ten yard container to the fill line with heavy material such as dirt, rock, brick, concrete, or block, it will come out to approximately 10 tons. If you fill our other containers with general trash only they will not exceeded the 6 ton max, however if you try to small amount of heavy materials into them they may become overweight and incur fees.

When do pay CRI for the rolloff?

Payment must be made at the time of delivery with Cash, Check, or Debit/Credit Card. We accept all major credit card types. Customers can also apply for credit terms.

Can I move the dumpster?

No! Do not move or alter the equipment in any way. We will place container as conveniently as possible. Customer will be responsible for any damages to our property due to attempts to relocate. If you need the container moved please call us and we can schedule to move it.

What is NOT allowed in the container?

Hazardous, toxic, flammable liquids, solids, or gases. This includes but is not limited to paint, gas cans, Aerosol, Freon, Propane bottles, exc.

How long do I keep the container?

Curbside places containers for up to 10 days. We also offer a Weekend Warriors special that includes delivery on a Thursday or Friday, usage of the container through two weekends, then a pick up on a Monday or Tuesday. Contractors please call for details with special needs or rentals.

Does the container have a gate or door?

Yes, all Curbside containers have a door on the back of the container that can be opened and used for a wheel barrel or disposing large furniture items.

How much room does a CRI driver need in order to place the container?

Our drivers need 21 feet high, 80 feet long, and 12 feet wide minimum to place the containers.

As Americans try harder to become more "green" we are continuously looking for new ways of recycling different materials. The following are 10 things that are not generally thought of as recyclable that actually are.

1. Hair-hair is used as compost and can be used to help clean up oil spills.

2. Blue Jeans- old blue jeans can be taken to a second hand store or they can be made into fiber insulation for houses.

3. Wine- all parts of wine can be recycled, the bottle can be recycled in a glass program, the cork can be taken to Whole Foods where reCORK America has drop off locations, and the wine itself can aid in the compost process if you add it to your compost pile.

4. Cotton swabs-cotton is great for the compost bin; cotton balls, cotton swabs, (as long as the handle is made of cardboard) dryer lint, and old shredded cotton and wool clothing can go into your compost bin.

5. Crayons-The National crayon recycle program accept unwanted and broken crayons for recycling into new crayons and have diverted more than 47,000 lbs of crayons from landfills.

6. Surfboards- they can be made into numerous products including asphalt and concrete for paving city roads. The same company has also made wetsuits into yoga mats.

7. keys- can be recycled at a metal recycling program.

8. Rechargeable batteries- 9 states have banned batteries from landfills while New York and California have passes laws requiring manufactures to have take back programs. If you live in an area not covered by such program call2recycle can help you find somewhere to take them.

9. Golf balls- golf balls can be brought to a Dixon golf retail location for recycling or check out lostgolfballs.com to purchase recycled and used golf balls.

10. trophies-there are many trophy recycling programs offered nationwide, some of which manufacture all of their awards from recycled glass and newsprint.

Knowledge is integral part of becoming "green" today the most common recycling programs are paper products, cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum. How much space is needed to place a roll off container?

Roll off containers are placed with large trucks, because of this they need extra space when they deliver and pick up the containers. To ensure proper placement allow ample space for the driver to place your container.

When placing a container the truck driver will need 21 feet high, 80 feet long, and 12 feet wide minimum to place the containers. When the drivers place roll offs their trucks lift them up from the front of the container and slide them off of the back of the truck on to the desired location, the truck then rolls out from underneath the container sets the front end down and unhooks from it. On delivery, our drivers are happy to work with you to place the container as close to the desired location as possible.

OCTOBER FREE SHRED MONTH!!!

Curbside DataControl, a confidential document destruction company in Aurora, CO, will be hosting a FREE SHRED MONTH for the residence of Aurora through October.

Curbside will accept any amount of material that is dropped off completely free. No appointments are needed and drop off time is between the hours of 8 to 4 Monday through Friday and Saturday from 8 to 12. We are a HIPPA, FACTA, and NAID certified company, our services are completely secure and confidential, and all customers receive a signed Certificate of Destruction showing you that your material is destroyed.

Those of you who would like to see your documents shred can make an appointment with us for a Wednesday. We will start our shred truck and you can watch it shred in front of you. During the month of October it is discounted to $25.

MEDICARE AND MEDICAID WARNING

The following warning was received by our office on Friday, August 5^th:

“Fraud Alert from the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing

The State has alerted counties that individuals claiming to be calling from the Medicaid and Medicare office are contacting people in the community asking them to take a fraudulent survey. The individual asks a person to take a survey over the phone and then proceeds to ask questions about his/her personal banking account information. Do not take this survey!

Remember that no one from Medicaid or Medicare will ever contact someone over the phone and ask for their personal banking account information. Please be vigilant about disclosing any personal information over the phone and to report suspected fraudulent calls to your local law enforcement agency or your local District Attorney.” (End of Department of Health Care and Financing alert).

The District Attorney reminds everyone that Medicare and Medicaid scams are very common and result in numerous victims who have given out personal identifying information or money to perpetrators who should have neither. These types of scams are especially heavy during the Medicare Part D enrollment period each year. Any call from someone claiming to be with Medicare or Medicaid should be viewed with suspicion. Before taking any action, contact local law enforcement or the nearest Medicare or Medicaid Office. And remember that the Medicare Part D enrollment period has been changed to October 15 – December 7^th this year.

DUMPSTER IN DENVER 4 TO THINGS EXPECT

We often get calls about needing a dumpster and many new customers are unsure of what to expect. To make our services more clear we will explain the process step by step here.

1. The customer will call to order a dumpster.

When the customer calls to order we will need: Where they got our name, Customer Name, address, major cross streets , 2 phone numbers, preferred deliver date, what material is being disposed of, container placement info and billing information

2. We will deliver the dumpster

When we deliver the dumpster we can call prior or place in previously specified area.

If the customer is onsite, our drivers can collect payment and present the invoice.

3. The customer has ten days to fill the container and call us to schedule a pick up.

4. The customer can contact us at any time with any additional questions or concerns about the dumpster or the process.
