Apple has unveiled this years new plus-sized iPhone Plus - the iPhone 6s Plus. Like its sibling the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6s Plus will come in silver, space grey, gold, and the new Rose Gold.

iPhone 6S Plus: design and build

Like its predecessor the iPhone 6s Plus has a 5.5in screen.
The most obvious difference is the new Rose Gold colour option, joining the gold, silver and Space Grey options already available.

Apple says that its phone may look the same as last year's model, but its iPhone 6S duo has achieved more inner strength. This time it uses a different grade of aluminum for its chassis, one that's also used in the aerospace industry.

iPhone 6S Plus: 3D Touch

As expected the iPhone has gained a feature from the Apple Watch. You can do more than touch and swipe the screen. The touch screen is now pressure sensitive. For example you can 'Peek' by pressing lightly, or 'Pop' by pressing harder.

For example, you can 'Peek' at an email to see what it says and if you don't need to respond right away it will remain ‘unread’ in your emails - so no need to go into your email app and mark it as unread just because you aren't actioning it at that moment in time. If you do want to reply, you can click harder to 'Pop' to the email and action it there and then.
App icons will also become shortcuts so you can choose exactly where in that app you want to go. For example, you can take a selfie just by pressing on the Camera icon, or you can press on the Facebook icon to update your status without opening the app.

Multitasking will also benefit from 3D Touch. Just press on the screen and swipe to scroll through the apps you've got open, rather than double clicking the Home button.

3D Touch works with a taptic engine for haptic feedback you can feel, just like the Apple Watch and the trackpad on the new MacBooks.

Faster LTE, Wi-Fi connections

Apple says it'll have the fastest forms of LTE Advanced, if that's supported where you live, and will also include support for the latest, greatest Wi-Fi networks.

Touch ID

The second-generation sensor promises to snap open the phone faster than before. Hopefully fingerprint authentication will also speed up.

Canon is developing a 250-megapixel CMOS sensor, which can be used with a regular DSLR. Therefore, it is possible to capture images with about 250 million pixels (19,580 x 12,600), the highest amount of pixels in a CMOS smaller than a full-frame 35mm sensor according to the manufacturer.

Just to give you an idea, the professional cameras with the highest resolution currently on sale, the Canon 5DS and 5DS R, “only” have 50.6 megapixels. Also, according to the company, the sensor is capable of capturing images so detailed that you can clearly read the lettering on the side of a plane flying 18km away.

The CMOS APS-H achieves an ultra-high signal readout speed of 1.25 billion pixels per second and the manufacturer ensures that in spite of the pixel count, the new sensor has an excellent noise reduction performance. But it is not only in capturing images that the new sensor Canon draws attention. According to company, the CMOS APS-H has the ability to capture videos with a resolution that was approximately 125 times that of Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) video and 30 times that of 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) video.

Nintendo just announced a real-world, GPS-powered mobile game called Pokémon Go. It lets you find and battle virtual Pokémon with your smartphone, or by using this weird Pokémon Go Plus smartwatch.

The Pokémon Company has announced a new mobile game called Pokémon Go, produced in collaboration with Nintendo and Niantic, the former Google subsidiary behind the Ingress augmented reality game. Pokémon Go looks to follow in the footsteps of Ingress, letting players find virtual Pokémon and do battle in the real world, powered by GPS. Niantic broke away from Google after the Alphabet reorganization.

Nintendo is developing a companion smartwatch device called Pokémon Go Plus, designed to help you take part in the game's world without having to stare at your phone all day. The Pokéball-shaped device will vibrate and light up when you get near to a Pokémon in the real world. Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of The Pokémon Company, said in a press conference today that he'd been working on Pokémon Go with late Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata for around two years.

Now a new micro-PC threatens to make the Raspberry Pi look like a luxury model. Next Thing Co. recently announced a Kickstarter campaign for Chip, a $9 micro-PC shipping in 2016.

The company already has a working prototype with an earlier generation processor, according to Make. But Next Thing lacks the funds to place large enough orders with component makers. It appears a lot of people are excited about the prospect of a $9 micro-PC, however, since at this writing the project had more than 13,000 backers contributing nearly $700,000.

Google unveiled a new feature on Wednesday that lets you search for your Android smartphone or tablet using the search engine on your desktop computer.

How does it work?

Log-in to the same Google account on your desktop computer’s browser that you use on your Android smartphone, but before that make sure you must have the latest version of the Google app installed on your smartphone. Touch Update if not updated.

Now type "Find my phone" into Google's search engine, and that’s it.

In a post on its page for developers, the social networking giant suggested that they start using the new Page Plugin instead.

"With the release of Graph API v2.3, the Like Box plugin is deprecated and will stop working on June 23rd 2015. Use the new Page Plugin instead. The Page Plugin allows you to embed a simple feed of content from a Page into your websites," it said.

Like Box is a special version of the Like Button designed only for Facebook Pages.

More than 700,000 ADSL routers distributed around the world, including in the Philippines, have a directory traversal flaw in their webproc.cgi firmware modules, which can be used by remote attackers to extract data, including admin credentials and configuration settings, from the router’s config.xml file.

Using a free IP scanner you can scan unlimited IP address which you can open via port 80 or Web Browser Port 22 for Telnet Access Port 23 for SSH Port 443 for https access.

Google want to save its users' bandwidth at home. The company has released a "Data Saver extension for Chrome," bringing its data compression feature for its desktop users for the first time.
While tethering to a mobile Hotspot for Internet connection for your laptop, this new Data Saver extension for Chrome helps you reduce bandwidth usage by compressing the pages you visit over the Internet.

If you are unaware of it, the data compression proxy service by Google is designed to save users' bandwidth, load pages faster, and increase security (by checking for malicious web pages) on your smartphones and tablets.

REDUCE AS MUCH AS 50% OF DATA USAGE

Until now, the data compression service has been meant to benefit only mobile users, but the latest Data Saver Chrome Extension aims at helping desktop users by reducing their data usage by as much as 50 percent.
"Reduces data usage [bandwidth] by using Google servers to optimize pages you visit," the extension's official description reads. "Browse more for less! When this [Data Saver] extension is enabled, Chrome will use Google servers to compress [web] pages you visit before downloading them."
When you visit a website, web server delivers the requested files to your browser. If enabled by the server, Gzip compresses web pages and style sheets before sending them over to the browser.
Gzip compression drastically reduces transfer time since the files are much smaller.
Data Saver Extension for Chrome checks if the website you visited has gzip enabled or not. If not, it compresses the requested web page via Google Data Compression proxy and makes it significantly smaller.

"The proxy performs intelligent compression and minification of HTML, JavaScript and CSS resources, which removes unnecessary whitespace, comments, and other metadata which is not essential to the rendering of the page. These optimizations, combined with mandatory gzip compression for all resources, can yield substantial bandwidth savings for the client." Google explains.

AVAILABLE FOR CHROME 41 AND HIGHER

The Data Saver Chrome extension currently doesn't support secure SSL pages or incognito pages, and Google notes that users may experience issues when they have enabled the extension. Data Saver is available on Chrome both for Android as well as iOS.

User will need Chrome 41 or higher version to use the extension. As soon as you install it, the extension starts to work by default. In case you want to disable it, click on the Data Saver icon in the menu bar and select "Turn Off Data Saver."

You can now download Google's new Data Saver extension for Chrome, which is currently in beta version, from the Chrome Web Store. The extension was released on March 23, without any announcement from the search engine giant.

Scientists at Columbia University have invented a new dongle that attaches to a mobile phone and can diagnose HIV and syphilis in 15 minutes. This means millions of lives could be saved through early diagnosis.

The kit, which attaches to any smartphone or computer, replicates a lab test and can give a diagnosis in the field in just 15 minutes.

The device is nearly 540 times cheaper than current lab testing machines, and has already been tested on patients in Rwanda during a pilot study.

Health workers tested the blood of 96 patients who were enrolling into clinics aimed at preventing transmission of HIV from mother to child, or those visiting voluntary counselling and testing centres.

The dongle was developed to be small and light enough to fit in one hand.

It draws its power from the smartphone allowing it to be used in remote areas, providing the phone is charged.

Samuel Sia, associate professor of biomedical engineering at Columbia University, said the team's work showed that full laboratory-quality tests can be run on a smartphone app.

This makes a diagnosis accessible to almost any population with access to smartphones.

Joseph Edwards, a 17-year-old schoolboy from Windsor, Berkshire, hanged himself after receiving a bogus email appeared to be from police claiming that he'd been spotted browsing illegal websites and that a fine of 100 pound needed to be paid in order to stop the police from pursuing him.

The scam email pushed the well-known Police Ransomware onto the boy’s laptop and also downloaded malware that locked up his system once it was opened.

As far as we all know, a Police ransomware of this type does not encrypt files and usually asks a victim to pay a small fine that last around $200 or €200. It’s normally much easier to remove the threat from infected systems by using dedicated tools specially designed to remove such infections.

Edwards was an A-level student with Autism, a developmental disability, that likely made him more susceptible to believing the Internet scam mail, supposedly sent from from Cheshire police, was genuine, a coroner heard on Thursday.

Edwards was so upset and depressed by the accusation and the extortionate demand that he hanged himself hours after falling victim to the crucial threat. He was found hanged at his family home in Windsor by his mother Jacqueline Edwards, who told the coroner that he probably didn't understand the implications of his actions.

"He didn't seem to have any worries known to me. I don't think he really understood," Jacqueline Edwards told the coroner. "Joseph was subjected to a scam on the internet, a threatening, fake police link that was asking for money," his mother said in a statement. "He would have taken it literally because of his autism and he didn't want to upset Georgia [his sister] or me."

According to Detective Sergeant Peter Wall, it will be almost impossible to trace the fraudsters behind the 'crude' email, but believe it may have originated outside the UK.

This is not first time when Ransomware has become deadly reason to take someone’s life. Over a year ago, a Romanian family faced same Police Ransomware threat and the Romanian victim hanged himself and his four-year-old son, scarring that his young son would pay for his mistake and his life would be spend in the moment of delusion.

MSI's new huge GT80 Titan SLI integrates a Cherry MX keyboard by SteelSeries. Yes, a laptop with a mechanical keyboard. Why? Partially because they can, and partially because mechanical keyboards are awesome to type on.

MicroStar International officially introduced CES2015 its unique GT80 Titan laptop. Galaxy Note 4 was released last September 26

Apple just experienced Bendgate with reports of its iPhone 6 Plus facing bending issues. Samsung is now facing Gapgate as customers report Galaxy Note 4 has a gap defect around its display.

The gap in their device is thick enough to fit 2 sheets of A4 bond papers or a slightly thicker business card. It may seem like a harmless design issue, but it might affect the internals of the Note 4 in the long run since dust, lint, and even water could easily penetrate the device

It’s not clear how widespread the issue is, considering that Samsung’s South Korean Galaxy Note 4 launch day sales amounted to around 30,000 units, or all available stock Samsung had on hand, but apparently the company is aware of the issue.

Considering that Samsung has rushed Galaxy Note 4 launch, at least in its home country, to better counter the iPhone 6 record sales, it’s likely this screen separation issue is a limited manufacturing problem that will be corrected before it becomes Samsung’s “Gapgate,” or something similar, once the handset launches in more markets next month.

Microsoft Introduce Windows 10 , Skips Windows 9

San Francisco – 1pm Eastern, 10am Pacific, 6pm UK — Microsoft will unveil Windows 10 NOT Windows 9. The event is expected to focus on the changes to Windows 10 that will affect Desktop and enterprise users, though Microsoft might also show off some of the changes to the Metro/mobile side of things.

But sadly, it seems Microsoft won’t be providing a live video stream.

The bigger screens but thinner bodies of Apple’s new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus models have come at the cost of rigidity, according to owners who say they bent while being carried in trouser pockets.

A number of users across various forums, sites and Twitter have reported – and pictured – that their phones have become warped after they sat or bent down with them in front and rear trouser pockets.
The reports come just after an insurance company claimed that the new iPhones are the most robust ever – though its tests didn’t include bending.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus chassis is milled from a solid piece of aluminium alloy whose composition is secret. The weak area of the phone appears to be around the volume buttons, where the frame is at its thinnest and creates a fulcrum point around which the phone bends. Surprisingly, the screen does not break when the phone bends – though it does if the phone is then bent back to a flat profile.
