Financial Success is Counting on Yourself

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 05 Mar 2021 09:16:00 +0000

Why do so many people let their dreams crumble into dust? One of the biggest, hidden reasons is other people. Queer though it may sound-it's not our enemies, it's our friends and loved ones. If the ones we spend most time with are negative, cynical naysayers, constantly harping why we will fail, THEY are literally doing us in. A friend can tear us apart in more ways than several enemies. The one who never got a merit raise will give you all the reasons why hard, productive work won't get you anywhere. The guy who has never reached the top sales position or achieved a sales target will tell you not to bother because the management always sets the goals too high. The wage earner who never ran a business can give you 221 obstacles why you can never start your own enterprise. The truth is listening to just about anyone without being aware of their own tracks could be suicide. Listening could be habit forming and you could end being held hostage by fear or burying your head in the sand.

Without goals you get nowhere. No one got anywhere without defining their life goals. Your goals should never drop out of sight. Can a ship navigate without rudder? Has your calendar been invaded by financially dead excursions and diversions? Similarly you can have a great product or the best quality benchmarks yet unless you know how to take it to the world's markets you'd be doing what a certain tribe in the Arctic does when their parents reach old age-they'd put them in a canoe on a water expanse with nothing else and abandon them to die! Stop huddling with the same cast of characters you have habitually come to lean on. Look at all your advertising pieces and ask, "What's the first thing that strikes peoples eyes when they look at my product?" Acquire one special skill and you could reverse your cash flows for life. You don't need a PhD to do that or even a college education. Remember opportunity is self made. Winning stimulates winning, iron sharpens iron. Don't douse your dreams. Light your fires and take off on a newly ignited trajectory.

Feeling Lazy ? Wondering What To Do ? Here are 3 Trails.....

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 01 Mar 2021 04:06:00 +0000

“Laziness” is an overused descriptive, a judgment, - that really does nothing to goad us understand why some of us or we ourselves don't press on with effort to do what they ought to do, or wish they could . If we take a moment to examine what’s behind the stalling , hesitating , and and the putting off of doing things we find a range of reasons : fear of failure , fear of not being up to supposed skill level , even depression [ years of working for someone where you don't have to go beyond your chore / task and a fear again of rocking your own boat and capsizing it ].

So , get off the rocking chair and check out these 3 trails by the weekend and you won't be bored to death :

No Enterprise Fails With This ......

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sat, 27 Feb 2021 13:41:00 +0000

We got ingrained as we were growing up that only those with special skills, plenty of of luck and money can start a successful business .Isn't it so ? The truth is there are lots of enterprises dying ,pining to be hatched that wouldn't talk of sacks of capital and an "education" to the skies. We’re not talking about the next premier, branded-from-launch stuff , here, but ventures that cost a cuppa and give you a foot in the door to your own endeavour , to your own venture .

Entrepreneurship is hard work but it isn't for the cash rich or those who've gone on to universities around the world. Have GUMPTION , PLUCK , determination , a nose for practicalities ? There are plenty of businesses you can start on a shoestring budget and without exclusive skills or a fancy doctorate.

If you're you're passionate about something ,you'll be unstoppable. So kick up the dust by asking yourself what pedals up your innards , what cranks your engines . What gets you energized ? What activity , work or world do you get lost in thinking you were only doing it for a mere moment and subsequently finding out you had been at it for hours on end ? Don't worry if someone has a jump start on you. When you're on the trail , you'll be unbeatable.

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent”

Is Eating Out Eating You ?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Thu, 25 Feb 2021 03:41:00 +0000

EATING OUT can devour your paycheck and leave crumbs in your hands for a rainy day. Before you become hard-wired to eating out here are some 'experiences' you may want to , need to be weary of :

Your living expenses can slowly grow over the years causing your budget to become unmanageable.

You are eating mostly over processed or processed food with a ton of chemicals in them. This affects your health in the long run and costs you even more money at the doctor's.

Like all things , eating out starts small but it can take over your life and put your savings plans on skid row.

Creating a mental ledger of your food expenses is no security. As habit takes hold of you , you'll slowly yield away to more and more mouth watering array of foods that'll gallop you into debt.

And if you're the sort of person who can't say 'No!' you could slowly give way and allow binge eating to leverage you into debt.

It's time to stop and ponder the longings of your tongue.

What's A New Year For , If It Ain't For Sail Aways ?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 23 Feb 2021 05:32:00 +0000

Time zings away so very quickly. And as you get older, it seems 'becoming old' seems to speed up even more. If you don't do something about it, your life will take place without including the person who's buried deep withinst you. You guessed the person I mean !The dreamer ! The boy or girl insides of you. The bright, starry-eyed optimist who was once 'owner' of your body and soul.

What did you want to be... or dream you'd rather be ... when you were in childhood? And what kind of dreams have you had since? Do you still have goals or ambitions you haven't achieved? We all have and have had dreams. And we're all guilty of putting off those dreams. Our real dreams take a back seat while the ones we would not rather be take the front seat! Seems life gets inverted ! So be honest with yourself. Have you achieved any or all of your cherished dreams? Are you even working toward them? Do you even remember what they were? “Being yourself” means owning your particular ways and styles of doing things , the way you steer circumstances, your sense of cheer in the face of armageddons ; yes, your oddities eccentricities too, and protocols.

So , this new year BEGIN something !Perhaps call to memory Mark Twain's spur on :

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO BE YOURSELF?

Do you have an idea for starting an online business and need help getting online? In the past, all businesses needed physical locations, but as online shopping continues to soar, many people are making successful business on the internet. What you'd need is a good idea [ maybe rooted in family history ], some startup money [ the price of a cup of coffee ], time to get started, and you can get on onto the highway. And online businesses, when run well, can be extremely profitable .When was the last time you took a chance and did something outside of your comfort zone?

Step Into The Global Marketplace

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sat, 20 Feb 2021 12:37:00 +0000

The Internet has been stealthily displacing printed, television and radio advertising for the past four decades and luring millions of people to pitch their entrepreneur noses into it's huge marketplace . It is even more incumbent pertinent , necessary for any one, looking for rainmaking trails and tracks to jump start their cash flows through sale of their products and services, to get online.

Dreams - the ones you had from the days you were a boy or girl can't be thrown off the cliff or shelved into oblivion. They could hold the sparks to turn your life around .And besides they could be the hardwired talents within your family history that could garner fortunes .

In the marketplace success is rewarded but mistakes get punished. That means that you can’t settle for weakness, laziness, and bad ideas, and couch marketing or your business will fall over the cliff . There’s a gulf between an idea, and a hunch that carries the hopes of rainmakers in real-world conditions. Almost everyone has ideas but most people can’t come to grips trading them off to live their own dream. It's good to heed the advice of a hearthrob of the yesteryears .

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails - Mark Twain .

How The Rubber Tree Changed A Nation..

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 19 Feb 2021 07:35:00 +0000

Trees have played a very essential role in the development and launch off of the economies of several nations. Before the RUBBER TREE came along the India Rubber Tree was it's predecessor. It's trunk exuded a milky sap called latex. Although somewhat like 200 plants in the world can produce latex, but over 99 percent of the world's natural rubber is made from the latex that comes from a tree species called Hevea brasiliensis, . However it was not until 1839 that this latex saw its first practical application in the industrial world. That year, Charles Goodyear accidentally dropped rubber and sulfur on a hot stovetop, causing it to char like leather but it remain plastic and elastic however. Vulcanization, a refined version of this process, transformed this whitish liquid into an essential product for the industrial age. But how the rubber tree began to change the economies of nations around the world had its beginnings with Henry Wickham. In 1876, this English planter, collected 70,000 seeds [ Brazil] and shipped them to England. 2,800 of the seeds germinated. In 1895 . Henry Ridley, the head of Singapore's Botanical Garden, convinced two coffee growers to plant two acres (.8 ha) with Hevea trees from these seedlings . Nine of these seedlings were sent to Sir Hugh Low, then Resident in Perak, where they were planted in the Residency gardens at Kuala Kangsar , Malaya. Twelve years later more than 300,000 ha of rubber trees filled plantations in Ceylon and Malaya .At the turn of the 20th century the industry began to grow dramatically with the advent of the bicycle and automobile industries .Every tire, hose, seal, valve, and inch of wiring required rubber. The rubber boom launched off . Rubber planting became highly profitable and rubber plantations spread across the Malay Peninsula

By the 1930s, Malaya had become the world’s largest natural rubber producer. And it rode this 'rubber' economy to the necks of the 80s'.But this international trade with the rest of the world was the first time Malaya earned foreign earnings in US Dollars. Thus the nation rose from a laid back sleepy hollow of an economy to a roaring tiger economy through the 'rubber ' years.

What does your financial future look like?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 20 Dec 2020 03:45:00 +0000

For many people, worrying about their financial future is a persistent habit. But unless you act you will be acted upon. No crystal ball can predict what your financial future holds or even IF there's anyone "holding" that future at all.
By taking risks , daring to get your feet as well as getting professional guidance from your financial advisor, you will be better prepared against sudden financial concussion .
So what elements need to be factored in when executing best financial practices?
Income is the starting point .What about a period of unemployment ? What about an illness ?What about savings ? The jobs we do impact our bank balances.
You might have pondered these a bit but none of these questions can be answered without the careful weighing in of your working life. After all, money doesn’t grow on trees nor will it fall from the sky. Tomorrow isn't promised. Neither is death. So long as there is family , rainmaking or wage-making HAS TO GO ON.
Financial wellbeing means different to different people but preparing for a growing family , meeting future plans , require unremitting attention to plans - whether a Plan A or a B or even a C.
Here's a way to sock some money away for the future .....

Want To Be Happy? Make A Bonfire Of Your Fake Dreams !

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Tue, 15 Dec 2020 10:13:00 +0000

Alain de Botton, the writer and intellectual has some unexpected advice about dreams. Forget them. “There’s a relief to be gained in giving up certain ambitions, if those ambitions really are on the other side of the moon and are getting in the way of other things that are going quite well in your life."

Many workers daydream about leaving their desk jobs behind to chase their true passions but turning fantasies into reality can be a scary walk out onto a limb. Walking away from a cosy job can mean tossing out benefits and perks that have come to define success of the sort everyone is toiling away for and face the unknown.

"Ten years ago I was working as a freelance business editor. I'd just sold my condo for almost twice what I'd paid two years earlier and I decided to take a three-month backpacking trip through Europe. Unless you love what you're doing now and would be content with it , there's GRIEF in ignoring or make yourself oblivious to what your real innards are. WHAT MINDSET ARE YOU ?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Fri, 20 Nov 2020 08:32:00 +0000

Someone with a siege mentality feels victimized and protective /defensive. Most people carry around a grudge mindset. Some have fled into a bunker mindset. Some are in a defeatist mindset. There are other mindsets too and they either DRIVE US INTO THE FUTURE or MOW US DOWN :

1. THE SOCIAL MINDSET

2. THE GROWTH MINDSET

3. THE FEAR MINDSET

4. THE LAZY MINDSET

5. THE ENVY MINDSET

6. THE BUSINESS MINDSET

7. THE DREAMER MINDSET

8. THE FOLLOWER MINDSET

9. THE GREED MINDSET

10.THE CONFIDENT MINDSET

11.THE CREATIVE MINDSET

12.THE SHORT TERM MINDSET

13.THE TORMENTED MINDSET

14.THE GO GETTER MINDSET

[ READ MORE : https://wealthygorilla.com/15-different-types-mindsets-people ]

But if you have worked long for someone , for a boss , you could have gone into the SITTING DUCK MINDSET.

This invisible affliction urges you to accept life as it comes and that being manipulated , carromed around , shoved here and there and beaten into submission by something , someone , by whatever is 'natural' and you OUGHT TO 'accept it all'.Well , you're what your mind is , what goes on in there is what's shaping you up or out.

So , what's the 'cure'. It's to go out there and start trekking on some trail , doing something different , going into the woods. Perhaps Mark Twain , says it real well.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”

Could Low Self Esteem Be Gnawing You Up ?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Wed, 21 Oct 2020 03:36:00 +0000

While there are times when we all don't at all like who we are, detesting your thoughts and actions is an indication of low self-esteem. Self-dislike is characterised by feelings of temper and frustration about who you are and an inability to forgive yourself for even the tiniest of mistakes.

One cure is to confront your negative self-beliefs: It’s possible that your sense of who you are is old baggage and has come down to you from others like your parents, ex-partners and colleagues. Don’t be afraid to challenge and edit or rewrite a self-playing own script – it’s your life and it better matter. One such nest of low self esteem feelings finds haven in the work you do.If you've always been a traditional nine to five-er , you could be have had in its clasps.

If there's something that runs in the family , then it's time to shake off and sail in new directions or remain slave to your gnawing low self esteem. It could do wonders for you come the new stretch of time in 2021.

Are You Digging New Wells ?

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sat, 30 May 2020 23:56:00 +0000

Water wells are dug to access groundwater in underground acquifiers.Wells are inexpensive and a low tech enterprise. Wells had been an important source of water needed for drinking and cooking down the ages.Where surface water was not easily available , wells came to the rescue. If not for wells, Mankind's habitable spaces would have been severely limited and confined. People built permanent communities around wells and water springs These waters enabled farming , irrigation of farmlands, trade, travel and food supply chains. From earliest times WELL DIGGING , digging new wells has been symbolic of finding life, putting down roots and starting communities that grew into nations.Digging new wells has been symbolic of a never give up attitude, of clambering ,overcoming obstacles to stake a family;s or families's future. We all have a need to dig new wells. The digging of new wells is something one NEVER quits on.But wells too are not forever - they can run dry or be out of water down the road.Dig new wells BEFORE your present one runs dry by a layoff ,an illness, or the company has gone under or be imperiled by a yet unseen sudden desolation like that unfolding now with the COVID-19 pandemic.Governments can topple and economies collapse. You owe it to yourself to find new wells.

Do Something 'Stead Of Being Something..

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 24 May 2020 05:20:00 +0000

Too many things to do, too many places to be at, squeezed of time to do it all. In all areas of our life—home, work, marketplace —we are increasingly jostled and contained by the perception that there's so little time and we must bulldoze into things to be somebody, someplace.somewhere.We charge like a bison from one commitment or event to another and have gotten ourselves clobbered into thinking that we haven’t a minute to lose. We long to be someone but drag and shortsightedness grab us by the neck and hang us.But until we change our relationship to what we ought to be woodpecking at,instead of rushing around like the Flash, the lives we ought to live will fall over the cliff at severe cost to our happiness and health.

How often people give up the steering of their lives to the wills, winds and shrapnel that litter their paths to the present day ....

Why not spend a tithe of your time online to something that matters?

FRAUD UPSURGE

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Sun, 15 Dec 2019 01:38:00 +0000

In the wake of today’s financial moods and bad headwinds , fraud has reared up as a savior of sorts. All over the globe fraud has become a superman of sorts .

Insurance firms have folded up under the weight of fraudulent claims. There have been cases where culprits have chopped off their fingers , exaggerated illness or faked death to claim moneies. Shops whose businesses have been going down the elevator or on the decline have been found to have set their premises ablaze for compensation claims.

Of particular concern are claims from those in debt – they worm their way to work with syndicates, contacts among claims networks and prey on weaknesses and loopholes in contracts and workplace system processes. It doesn’t look like things will change or mend when yesterday’s yuppies are on the other side of the fence now , i.e. in debt.

A far better alternative would be to become a self starter. Putting those crafty instincts and a talent for fraud into solving problems – to ask ‘why’ , ‘what if’ or ‘why not’ questions about problems , bottlenecks in the marketplace or processes or machine performances. Become a passionate , tenacious problem solver - new products that solve problems are better than stirring up the mud.THAT , will be a good streak to your dynasty’s door.

For years, Dorothy Atkins kept her side business as a greeting-card designer a secret. She worked for a bank in various client service and human resources positions. "It was totally unrelated to the card business -- different sides of the brain," she says. She used her commutes into San Francisco to brainstorm and sketch potential designs, and focused on her banking job from 8 to 5. Then, during her lunch hour, she visited local shops to see if they wanted to sell her cards. "I got a couple of clients that way," she says.

For many who have spent their first half working for other people, the soul-searching

often leads to entrepreneurship. "There was a management change at MGM and the boss who I loved working for left," says Doug Gleason, 56, who was running the consumer-products division of MGM Studios in Los Angeles at the time, in 2007. "I thought this is probably the time for me to move on as well." But in what direction?

If you want to ease into retirement without having to gain a whole new set of skills (or launch a job search or make a big capital outlay), you may be able to pass your expertise along in a consulting role. After Jennifer Hay of Seattle, 54, was laid off from her job as a technical trainer four years ago, a mentor suggested she start a business writing resumes for people in the tech industry. Today, Hay says, she works with up to 10 clients a month and is making a better living than she did before.

The World Is A Dangerous Place Because Of What You Don't Do ..

Start Up Your Life !

noreply@blogger.com (Unknown) — Mon, 07 Oct 2019 01:18:00 +0000

If you have had an idea swimming in the ponds of your dreams , some already sludge for years of inaction, and had been thinking about it for aeons and ages then it's time to make a leap of faith before age inks out your energies. But check out these 3 basics....

1. Break From The Pack !

You might never have someone applauding for you as you shoot the rapids of a new venture but that's been the turn in the road for pioneers , for venturers. With the New Year fast approaching, are you geared up to make this year your year or are you just going to wander aimlessly away another chapter of time in your life? Are you finally ready to stake out on those goals of yours and do what it takes to make them come true - at last? You are making a leap of faith that this is your road out of the dungeons , out of treadmils.

2. Comfort zones were never intended to be an end to themselves.
With a new venture, you may have to live WITHOUT a lot of things you're used to.There are no guarantees in a startup, so you have to make everything happen. As you step out, it's all about the culture of ASKing , KNOCKing on doors , SEEKing advice and help, getting new partners onboard , game changing marketing ... In all the euphoria of a startup, it's easy to brush aside that you're putting your family's meal plates in jeopardy.

3. Willing to wear several hats
Startup dashes are lean mean times. You have to be able to be a sparctatus of sorts - your own ideaboard , content inventor, marketer, bookkeeper , scratchbook keeper and a modern day media strategist.

In the 1990's South East Asia was a backpackers' paradise. But today, Laos, a nation in the heart of South East Asia which was fast asleep while it's neighbours , Malaysia, Thailand , Singapore and of late Vietnam , Indonesia and the Phillipines having moved away from colonial economies have romped on to become tiger economies . This resulted in the region undergoing tremendous transformation in becoming an investor's dream - growth rich economies , booming retail spending following in tow and with companies and governments loading up on borrowing and debt , much in US dollars. That invited investment bankers to come on in as well.

However ,today , Laos which once was a huge kingdom and a centre of commerce , is astir. It is expected to grow 7% annually. This boom that has taken off is fuelled by mining and hydropower . The country is aflow with rivers and waterways cutting through its mountains and jungles stocked with minerals.Laos's export revenue from copper and gold is projected to reach billions.Laos has launched a modest stock market, intending to attract capital to its growing enterprises and pour funds into its economy.Large energy-related deals , special economic zones and broader fiscal incentives being primed for its future , the sort of launchpads that were the springboards for industrialization in the tiger economies , are huge engines for growth.Shopping malls , cars and motorcycles clog the streets of a once sleepy hollow.Laos is finally landlinked from being landlocked. This is a new frontier !

One of the worst kept secret is that employees make less on average every year. There are scores of reasons for this.Staying employed at the same company over a period of years on average is going to make you earn less over your lifetime. Very substantially less - perhaps by as much as 60%. Think average pay rise spans , inflation rates and what has come to be talked about as 'market trends'.What are these 'market trends' ? These are the various ways economies can go - up , down , recessions and bumps and firms seize on these sentiments to cry alarm , declare pay freezes , cancelling bonuses , imposing pay cuts and even worse write out pink slips.Office politics pitch in too on the robbery.

The message here is it doesn't pay to be a sitting duck to sudden scenarios, to be an ostrich or even ascribe divine powers to your employer that they will somehow keep you on the job or that they'll keep you swinging happily in the firm's hammock garden.

Is There An Option ?
