While the world just learned Monday that Pamela Anderson had joined the “Dancing With the Stars” cast for season 10, her pal and fashion designer Richie Rich was in on the decision days before it was announced.

“I was just with her this weekend,” the Heatherette mastermind told MTV News when he stopped by the newsroom to talk Oscars fashion. “She’s one of my best friends. She’s starting rehearsals this week. She’s totally stoked and excited. She probably has the best legs I’ve ever seen on anybody that walks. I know she’s taking a lot of different lessons. She’s very on point. She’s like a showgirl at heart. I can only imagine how amazing she’s going to be.”

And while she has a vote of confidence from Richie, Anderson isn’t as convinced about her abilities on the dance floor. “Pam’s funny, ’cause she’s, like, tongue-in-cheek and she jokes, ‘I don’t know how to dance!’ ” Rich said. “She’s so great on point. She’s a great spinner. I was an ice skater, so we always joke and dance around. I don’t think she’s really nervous. I think she’s just excited.”

Richie said the only advice he’s given Anderson about the show is to win. “I just told her to keep her eye on the prize. I don’t really have to tell her much, ’cause she’s so focused on doing it right,” he said, adding that he’ll be stopping by the show to cheer her on. “I think Pam’s gonna win. I think she’s gonna go for the gold. She puts her mind to something, and she does an amazing job. She’s a blonde. She should win.”

Being that Richie is known for his over-the-top style, he would make for the perfect guy to design a few looks for Anderson to swirl in. “I’ll definitely do something for her,” he said. “I’ll design something fun and outrageous and Vegas-style. … She’s so easy to dress. Boom! Put it on.

“I definitely think it’s the Ice Capades meets Christmas. Gotta be over-the-top shiny, sparkly, colorful and fun … and wearable,” he continued. “Pamela doesn’t like wearing clothes, so it’ll definitely be skin, skin, skin.”

Baywatch bombshell Pamela Anderson won’t be running on the beach for her next TV project: She’ll be sashaying across a stage. Anderson has joined ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and she’s loving every minute of it.

“I’m having the best time,” the star, 42, tells PEOPLE. “This will keep me out of trouble.”

Anderson says doing the show, which partners professional ballroom dancers with celebrities, has been invigorating to say the least. “It’s stimulating mentally, physically and emotionally,” she tells PEOPLE. “It has my focus and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance. Maybe I’ll get in shape as well.”

She says she’s doing DWTS for her mother and her 85-year-old great-aunt Vie, who loves to dance and “has the best legs.”

Anderson admits she’s been “a little bit shy” about dancing in the past, but is up for the challenge.

“This is a leap of faith,” she says. “I’ll learn a life skill. I’m a romantic. I’m putting my heart into this.”

As for how the long rehearsals fit into her life as a mom, she tweeted Tuesday: “This is a great time for me to do this. I rehearse while boys are in school…love it.”

A raunchy commercial featuring Hollywood bombshell Pamela Anderson has been banned from television in Australia.

The Baywatch star appeared in a promo for internet company Crazy Domains, which shows her as a smart businesswoman who strips off to reveal a gold bikini and has milk poured over her by male colleagues, Contactmusic reported.

But the racy commercial has been banned by Australia’s Advertising Standards Bureau after it sparked hundreds of complaints.

“It’s meant to be a cheeky, over-the-top depiction, but in the bureau’s view it did cross the line,” Bureau’s president Fiona Jolly said.

The managing director of Crazy Domains, Gavin Collins, has blamed “feminist bloggers” for stirring up the controversy and is fighting the ban.

Pamela Anderson has made her name through wearing the skimpiest outfits - but she insists she has major insecurities about her body.

The 42-year-old former Baywatch star, who recently wore a barely-there swimsuit on the catwalk to promote her new fashion line, insisted: ‘I never feel confident. I really don’t love my body.’

The actress has teamed up with designer Richie Rich to launch her line, A*Muse.

Rich says the actress, who is single again after splitting with electrician boyfriend Jamie Padgett, wants to ‘take a break’ from men and concentrate on promoting her fashion and TV projects.

‘She said being single is the best,’ Richie insisted. ‘I don’t think she’s giving men up for good, but she’s taking a break.’

Anderson added of her upcoming appearance on US TV show Dancing With the Stars: ‘I think it would be fun. I can’t dance, but I like the challenge, and am looking forward to some of the outfits I get to wear.’

Pamela Anderson was certainly the star attraction at the Richie Rich A*MUSE Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday night, as she worked the runway in a barely-there silver one-piece that exposed most of her breasts, tummy and thighs.

But what the former “Baywatch” babe probably didn’t anticipate was that she would be left hanging in the cold bathroom for over an hour afterwards as nobody could find her dress.

“Pamela was hovering almost butt-naked sipping champagne while everyone ran around frantically trying to find her clothes,” an insider dished. “She was able to laugh it off, but she had to wait so long that it was becoming a bit of a worry.”

Although it seems the 42-year-old’s entire Fashion Week experience was one drama after another. We’re told the highly-anticipated fashion show started 60 minutes late as Anderson’s flight was delayed due to New York’s inclement weather and then she still had to stop by her hotel before high-tailing it to the venue. But being the good sport Pammy is, the busty blonde kept her word and posed for pics with Richie on the red carpet – albeit in her bathrobe.

On that note, we can’t help but wonder what Anderson’s sons, aged 13 and 12, must think of their mama’s escapades – although she at least tries to keep as much from them as possible.

“I don’t really show my kids a lot of stuff that I do. They just think when they go to career day that mommy rescues animals and daddy is a rock star,” Anderson told Pop Tarts last year, adding that her boys have yet to see their mama running up-and-down the beach in slow-motion in the hit 90’s series “Baywatch.”

But back to Anderson’s flawless figure (which was certainly in full-force on Wednesday night), what’s the starlet’s secret?

“Dancing with the Stars” could be getting a big rise in male viewership.

Radaronline.com reports that busty bombshell Pamela Anderson has agreed to be a contestant on the hit ABC show next season.

A source told Radaronline that the former Playboy model and “Baywatch” babe has come to terms on a deal that will have her following in the sequins and heels of such recent “stars” as Brooke Burke, Mel B., Jennie Garth and Kelly Osbourne.

Anderson “really wanted to do the show and the show thought it was a great idea,” Radaronline quoted the source.

“DWTS,” which debuted in the summer of 2005, begins its 10th season on March 22. Pop singer Donny Osmond was last season’s celebrity winner.

The new cast will be announced in early March.

Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is reportedly planning to buy a home by the British seaside.

The 42-year-old, who appeared in panto over Christmas in the UK, is said to be looking at properties near to the coast.

Anderson’s agent Toby St Just told UK newspaper The Sun: ‘Pammy loves it in England and is looking at buying two houses, one in London and one by the sea.

‘She has a real affection for the place and would love to have somewhere she can call home. She hasn’t decided where yet, she’s still looking at the options.’

A source added: ‘Pammy loves picturesque British seaside towns. It’ll be a far cry from California, where all the people are tanned and beautiful. And she may find the pebble beaches take a little getting used to.’

Looks like sparks are no longer flying between Pamela Anderson and her hunky lover Jamie Padgett, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

The blonde bombshell and the studly electrician/surfer became an item after meeting at the Paradise Cove Trailer Park in Malibu where they both have homes; the Baywatch babe had moved into the park while her nearby home was being re-modeled and Padgett was already living there.

The lovebirds were spotted showing-off their buff bodies strolling along a beach in Malibu this past summer but now it seems that their relationship has cooled.

Anderson confessed to a source that she was no longer dating Padgett and the pair spent the holidays apart with Anderson performing in the pantomime Aladdin in England before returning to celebrate New Year as a host at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.

A source told Radar Online.com: “Pam made it pretty clear she is no longer dating Jamie and that she was looking for a new love interest.

“She didn’t have anything bad to say about him and described him as a ‘sweet guy’ and that she hoped they would remain friends.

“Her ex-husband Tommy Lee was jealous of Jamie and Pam’s relationship and he had given their two sons Brandon and Dylan some surfing lessons.”

RadarOnline.Com spoke with Padgett Wednesday, and he remained cool when asked about the status of his relationship with the former Playboy pin-up.

He said: “Pam is a fine mother and she does some great work for animal rights through PETA.

“I did not go to London with her over the holidays as I was doing my own thing – it’s up to her to say if we are dating or not.

“I’m sure I will see her when I see her.”

Anderson will be hoping that 2010 will be a better year than 2009 as she looks to move her bank balance back into the black.

She reportedly ran $3 million over budget on the renovation of her Malibu beach property which still has not been completed.

She told British television presenter Joe Swash recently: “I’m going to sell it. I hate it. People commit suicide over constructions.

“Relationships break down over constructions and I can see why. It rips your heart out.”

The ‘Baywatch’ beauty admits that she made a career out of being a “dumb blonde,” and she doesn’t mind being stereotyped because she’s as happy as she can be.

Speaking about her image, she told Britain’s OK! magazine: “I think it’s funny. We all have to have a sense of humor about ourselves and other people. It’s definitely one of those things. I made a career out of it.

“I guess ignorance is bliss – when I do interviews people always say, ‘Aren’t you upset that people make fun of you?’ And I’m like, ‘Are they making fun of me?’ I guess I just don’t get it.”

When asked if she knew any dumb blonde jokes, she said: “I don’t. That’s how dumb I am.”

She can call herself a “dumb blonde” all she wants but she still managed to break into an industry most people will never be able to–and made millions out of it, so lets give her a little bit of credit.

Pamela Anderson left for Chile on Monday with a tweet saying:

And here she is today visiting a former torture center with employees of the Villa Grimaldi Peace Park Foundation.

According to today’s Santiago Times, Anderson’s arrival was quite a scene. Accompanied by nine bodyguards and wearing oversized sunglasses, she “angrily made her way through the gawking press crowd — all pushing and shoving to get the best angle.”

She became upset, says the Times, and at one point began pushing back against the press and yelling that she was being suffocated.
