1. No. of Vacancies: Presently, the no. of Vacancies is 44 which may

increase or decrease depending upon the circumstances/requirement.

2. Nature of Post: Gazetted, Pay Level–8, 47,600 – 1,51,100/-.

3. Age Limit: (i) Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years

and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e.

they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not

later than July 1, 2001. For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is

55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1967,

(ii) Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: (a) Upper age limit shall be greater

by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of U.P.,

Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled

players of up classified Games, State Govt. employees of U.P. including

the teachers/Staff of Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and teachers/Staff

of the Govt. Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have

not been born before 2nd July 1977.

(b) Upper age limit shall also be greater by 3 years + period of service

rendered in army for the emergency commissioned officers/short service

commission officers/Ex-Army personnels of U.P. (c) Upper age limit shall

be greater by 15 year's for P.H. candidates of U.P.

1. Pay Scale- Level 12 (Rs.78,800-2,09,200) in the Pay matrix of 7th CPC. Total emoluments (excluding HRA and TA) at the time of initial appointment will be RS.78,800 plus DA as applicable per month approximately.

2. Age- Not exceeding 50 years for General category candidates as on normal closing date. 3. Essential Qualificaiton (s)- (A) Educational -

Degree in Law of a recognized University

Master Degree in Law of a recognized University

(B) Experience -

(i) For LLB Degree Holders - Ten years practice at a Bar or ten years’ experience in the State Judicial Service or in the Legal Department of a State Government or of the Central Government or in the processing of applications for registration filed under the Trade Marks Act or Geographical Indications Act or in teaching law in a recognized University,

(ii) For LLM Degree Holders - Eight years’ experience in teaching law or in conducting research in law in a recognized University or research Institution.

Note- 1 Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

4. Desirable Qualificaiton (s)- Ph.D in Intellectual Property from a recognized university.

5. Duty(ies)- Under the superintendence and direction of the Registrar, the Deputy Registrar has to pass orders on applications for registration of Trade Marks, hear opposition, rectification and other Trade Marks matters and issue orders, decisions and any other work assigned to him.

6. Probation- One year

Duty(ies)			Assistant Registrar of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications functions as a Tribunal under the Trade Marks Act,1999 and rules there under. Assistant Registrar of TM and GI takes hearings of contested matters. Assistant Registrar adjudicates and issues speaking order and decision. Assistant Registrars of TM and GI also attends court cases and briefs Central Government Counsel on Trade Mark matters, service matters, Litigation in CAT, High Court and Law Ministry under supervision of Joint Registrar, Senior Joint Registrar and Registrar. Assistant Registrar of TM and GI can be assigned any other work relating to the subject by the Registrar and other Sr. officers as per the exigency of workload.

SYLLABUS

JHARKHAND CIVIL JUDGE (JUNIOR DIVISON)
(A) "Preliminary Entrance Test" means Written Examination (Multiple Choice Questions/Objective Type) only and the candidates declared successful in the test shall be eligible for the Main Examination.
(B)"Main Examination" means Written Examination (Subjective) and the candidates declared successful in this Test shall be eligible for Viva-Voce Test.
(C)"Viva-Voce Test" means an Oral Examination.
The Syllabus of the Preliminary Entrance Test shall consist of :-
(1) General English
(2) General Knowledge(including Current Affairs)
(3) The Code of Civil Procedure , 1908.
(4) The Code of Criminal Procedure , 1973.
(5) The Indian Evidance Act , 1872.
(6) The Law of Contract , 1872.
(7) The Indian Penal Code , 1860.

* The Preliminary Entrance Test should be of 100 marks in aggregate. The marks obtained in preliminary examination shall not be counted for the purposeof final selection. There shall be no negative marking.

The Main Examination shall be of four papers of 100 marks each comprising of the questions on the following subjects :-
