I don't normally wear anything with studs - maybe because I feel that studs isn't really for my shyness, or because I don't know how to wear studded items. But when I received this Dahlia UK dress - a basic shaped sleeveless dress with buttoned-up upper and cute studded collar, I started to realise that studs can go classic to! I'm afraid of looking too much, but the problem solved eventually when I put on layers of basic clothes and having the perfect details combination (dots pattern on my dress, a certain cutting on my inner top's sleeves, and the studs on my collar). I also love the way my leather cluth is making everything simply neat - look at its simple shape and little bunny emboss in the corner. Sweet details are the keywords! Happy weekend for you, loves.

Let me share with you a bit about April. This month I'd be getting a year older, and the idea of reaching that +1 age is just... terrifying. I realise that most of my friends have been married, getting babies, being housewives. Meanwhile I'm still feeling and acting like a 18 years-old! And I think I will always be that child, too, with all my peasure. The more I see those people surround me, the bigger I feel blessed to be a silly young kid by heart. To be honest, in one side its good to keep having the numbers counting each years because it reminds us of how we should behave according to each of our own responsibility. Meanwhile, by heart, I think we should stay young and embrace the life we have through little children's eyes! Most people are so good being grown-ups that they forget how it feels to be innocently happy and creating silly moments. Not to much worried about anything and knows well how to have fun in a simple way. For the sake of colorful world and balanced life, let's just... stay young. Not to be childish or reckless, but to be more optimistic and sincere. The last day of April will still come, but fear will not become. Let's stay young together forever!

Fresh air, fresh air! I might have locked myself down inside the house for too long, that when I went out for an afternoon walk today I sense my knees were getting weak. They can't hold the excitement. I dressed up in my sweetest Pepa Loves dress, my forever-favorite brand from Spain who happened to be this blog's sponsor, too. They always came up with delicate classic designs and details, just like this bow-meets-floral dress I wore for the post. It matched very well with my cardigan, shaping together a very calming blue-ish palette I can't help not to love. Bows are such a lovely little thing and they're forever in my days, really. In the name of rainy days and perpetual gray skies, I choose a lilac and mint pastel tones for my outfit this time. I have some time to prepare myself so I went a bit detail, putting a very versatile floral detachable collar under my dress (it looks like a shirt, but it's actually a cropped collar). Then attached into it, a vintage collar clip I got from Etsy last time. Finally I end up taking one of the latest product from Inspired By Luce - the sweet little lilac haircrown, to complete the whole romantic look I tried to create. I guess I turned out feeling like a mild lavender evening, floating in the grey shades of hazyy horizon. Hmmm, say hi to the melancholy!

It only takes a couple of minutes for me to get ready now. My new short haircut helps a lot, and eventhough I received complaints and moans from my beloved readers who loved my previous long hair (I'm truly sorry!), I have to say I never feel this light and free before and it's completely amazing. I've been always wanted to have a 1920s-inspired hair, and just at the moment I finally got the chance to cut my hair short! It's not going to last long though, since I have to grow the hair again for my ballet performance next year, so I guess this year will be a precious moment for any hair experiments I'd love to try. And again, for me, having a new haircut means a coming back celebration into being a simple person, that won't fuss small stuff into big matter, and enjoying every decision made with grateful heart. The outfit above is a follow-up of my current preppy, school-girl mood. Simple combination of a dainty double peterpan-collar shirt and tartan skirt - it's really just that simple, trust me!

We will never be tired of seeing floral prints. It’s one of the most versatile prints ever that you can mix with any other elements, and will always be reproduced in many different styling. “La Fleur” is a French word means Flower, and it represents the pure feminine power given from floral patterns. As notion of nature-inspired beauty, La Fleur prints are available in lots of different fashion items – from dresses to separates, bags and shoes, flower crowns and other accessories.

Since it's easy to get and can be found everywhere, here are some stuff to remember when making fun remixes with any La Fleur embellishment :

Don't be too much. Head-to-toe flowery prints can be something interesting, but tend to be too heavy for people's eyes who see, so be simple. Put the La Fleur prints or accent in some part of your outfit, not all.
Avoid tacky La Fleur patterns. Some patterns are cute and elegant, but there are some color combination of flowers that are not coordinated, so be careful on choosing the right combination!
When mixing pattern for daily activities, try not to pick anything that won't go nicely. For example, La Fleur vs galaxy prints can be okay, but are you sure they have the great composition of shapes and pattern? Or do their colors matched and nicely coordinated? Consider something more friendly that makes you comfortable.

Just a quick update before leaving for a week to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Another last-minute working trip. I'm all about simple travelling outfit - look at that tiny Mont Blanc leather suitcase I brought! One extra pair of shoes, a couple of oversized-tops and daily beauty care are all stuffed into the small bag. Proudly said that's the tiniest luggage I ever prepared for a-week-trip. I'll let you know more about the details but meanwhile, I have a flight to catch. Quick outfit report from home! I wish I can tell you more about my outfit, but it's pretty much a combination of lace and floral femininity that wrapped up with a touch of creme and beige from my little sling bag and shoes. Spend some time at the coffee shop now, shall we?

PS : It's nice to have a full-print pants but I try to simplify the whole look by putting on something quite neutral, but not losing its details - that's why I pick this cropped lace top as the pair. If you have brooch or necklace, put it on, to give a sweet highlight on your outfit! xx

I love seeing smart combination of two things I like. The red and pink colors, my outfit style and to-go gadget, Hello Kitty and music. Maybe since Valentine’s day is near so I started to enjoy red and pink more, and maybe since I have no date then I tend to spend too many hours on my fashion musings and music crafting. Being both single (and somewhat kind of broken-hearted), me and my bestfriend Phoebe decided to play a role as partner to one another. While realizing how much we can just be grateful for everything. Lovers are everywhere - we found affection from our friends, our family members, our pets, our communities. Fresh Cut

Yes, I cut my hair short. Maybe the shortest ever since I was in my elementary school, so to speak. For me, to take decision whether I should or should not cutting my hair is not always easy - but when I did, it always be a decision I never regret. Hair will grow. With my previous long hairstyle, I shared and witnessed many stories and many things - but some stories has to be end and lots of things are changing, so then my hairstyle can be evolved, too. "It's just a hair," some people said. Well, sometimes it's more than just growing hair. It's about re-inventing yourself through being brave - how many times we're in doubt when we're about to cut our long hair? Lots of people end up cutting just a tiny bit and save their wishes to have a completely different cut for another time in disguise. It's not only about hair. I cut my hair just right in time on one of the biggest transition in life I've ever have to encountered. I challenged myself - should I keep growing my long but dry, fragile hair for the sake of my fearful tiny heart? Or should I listen to what I want and get a fresh cut, starting over everything in a healthier way. I decide to be brave, and I will not regret doing something I've always wished to do. I cut my hair back in Singapore on the last day of January - and between the talks, the very kind hairdresser said, "This life is pretty sounds like your hair... My hair, everyone's hair. When they grow healthy and beautiful, you keep them on. But sometimes they just went wrong and dry, damaged, hurting... You just cut them off. You need to, right? In relationship, love and friends and dreams. Just believe that even you cut them for many times, they will keep growing when you let them to." Now you wonder, why did I cut my hair and why this has to deal with life? Well, every tiny option we made in life, they matter. It can be only about my hair or more, but all I can say is, when you want to see changes in your life... Start making them. With good, positive intention... And do not regret. :)
