Finding a free way to make money online isn't easy and might take a lot of time. So, I put together 10 methods of making money online in this post to help you out. I have done research on these money making methods. They were legitimate and didn't cost you money to begin.

You might already heard about paid survey if you have searched on the Internet for while. The Internet ads told you that you can make a living doing paid survey. So, is that really true? Well, the answer is of course no. The ad messages were exaggerated. But it's true that paid survey can potentially earn you extra cash in monthly basis.

It's simple. Just go to paid survey directory like Yellowsurveys.com and join as many market research companies listed in the directory as possible. If you find hard to get a job on Guru.com because of the tough competition there, you might try in Freelancefree.com and DigitalPoint Forum. Freelancecefree works the same way as Guru.com but the marketplace is smaller and so as the competition is lowers. Digital Point (DP) on the other hand is the largest webmaster forum. As a member of DP, you can post ads about your freelance services and also find freelance works that you're interested in the Buy, Sell or Trade section of the forum. I noticed in the DP that the topics like Wordpress, make money online, affiliate marketing, social media marketing are selling quite well. You may start creating 5 articles in one of the topics to test sell in DP. But these are just some of the good demand topics I noticed, you might do some researches in DP to find more profitable topics that you can write for.

Certain simple rules you must keep in mind is that your article must be unique (not published anywhere before) and can only sell once - to one buyer only.

How to write the ad
It's not difficult. You can just refer the existing ads and get an idea on what you should put in. There are only ad title and ad description you need to write. Here's an example of the title"

Making money online is more and more popular in past months and I can freely say in past years, just look at Google search trends and you will understand what I am talking about.

Today I will to explain how sometime can be easy to make quick cash. Let say that there is a thousands ways to make money today using Internet. We will take CraigsList as great example. What we need to make $100 or $1000 weekly on CraigsList? Nothing! Don't believe? Ok, it is not nothing, but You need just some time and patience, and no money investment. We will talk about drop shipping today. So what is drop shipping? That is popular way for retailers to sell any merchandise without having it in stock. Actually, without having any stock at all. Or to be more precise, You can have physical online shop from shoes to iPods without leaving Your home or investing in stock. I hear You asking "how that is possible?", easy, that is something called drop shipping.

In drop shipping You make an online shop (buy domain for $10 and that is Your only money "investment"), use open source cart software like oSCommerce (absolutely free), decide which merchandise You will selling, for example, let say iPods, use Google to find manufacture which support drop shipping, and finally use CragsList and other free classifieds to promote Your business.

I know that You still believe that this what I am talking is possible. Ok, I will go again, step by step, and I hope that then everything will be clear. To become drop shipper seller You don't need money to invest. You don't need to have stock. You don't need to have anything. Nothing. Nada :) Now you for example decide to sell t-shirts. When You decided that Your future job will be an t-shirt online shop, you are buying domain something like my-t-shirt-shop.com or something. Then You are using Google to find company that will cooperate with you, or in other words, that will make t-shirts and send to Your clients. Just use Google. Then You need to find payment processor to accept credit card payments from your clients, and again use Google, I used plimus, authorize and similar services, it still cost you nothing, except of domain name (about $10 depending on your ISP.) After You found and signed online contract with payment processor, you need to build site, so You will use osCommerce or some other cart software, download images from manufacturer that You choose and create 10-50 products.

After this you are ready to go. Start posing ads on CraigsList and similar service attracting customers with low prices, high quality and similar of Your t-shirt. When people (buyers) start coming to Your site, and start buying Your t-shirts, what happens is next: when You receive money for order of 1 or 100 t-shirts, you are paying half of that su (approximately) to Your manufacturer and sending him Your buyer details (name and address), manufacturer packing Your order and sending to Your buyer. Buyer receives t-shirt and he is very satisfied. You made 30%-50% net profit and You are happy too. Manufacturer sold his products and made profit so he is happy to. All of You are happy :)

I hope that You understand that You can really make some money doing nothing, just with some initial work, good idea and a bit of creativity and patience.

If you are trying to make money online for more than one month, I bet you already heard about affiliate marketing.

It's the fastest easiest way to get started online and make some real money.

What most beginners don't know is that you don't need to sell anything to make money with affiliate programs. You can make money when a website visitor perform an action like signing up for more information or downloading a toolbar or screensaver.

Those pay per lead programs are called Cost Per Action (CPA).

If you are new to CPA programs, let me show you how it works.

1. Getting started

There are two big schools of thought.

The first is that you should pick your market first, and then, pick a product that is proven to sell in this market.

The second school of thought says that you choose the product that people already buy first, and then, you promote it to hungry buyers in the market.

Personally, I do both, but if you are just getting started and didn't make your first sale yet, I suggest that you choose option two, because beginners generally struggle to find a niche.

2. Grabbing your CPA offer

This is a little bit more tricky than traditional pay per sale affiliate products (you are paid when someone actually buy the product you are promoting).

Let's say you want to start with Market Leverage.

With the CPA affiliate network like Market Leverage for example, you will need to go through an application process.

Most of the time, you will be asked how you will promote the offer, and they will also ask you for a website's url.

Just say that you are going to promote with seo. If you have the budget, you can also say PPC.

Once you sign up, an affiliate manager will contact you to see if you are a real person, and ask you a couple of questions to see if you qualify.

Don't worry. Here is a little known trick that will help you to be accepted in any affiliate network.

Please be honest. Don't tell your affiliate manager that you earn $2000.00 per month when you never made a dime online. Just tell the truth. Here is the twist what should get you in easily.

Just tell to your affiliate manager that you are brand new and that you never made a dime online, but that you are going to do whatever you can to make a lot of commissions every month for his network only.

You get it?

Here is why it works:

His role is to help you earn more. He is not doing this because he loves you, but the reason is that when you make money, the affiliate manager makes money. If you earn more, he earns more as well.

When you tell him that you are going to make money EXCLUSIVELY for this network, he will think twice, and you'll have more chances to be approved if you are just getting started.

If you are not accepted (it happens sometimes), don't worry, you have two things to do:

1. Call again

Just call the affiliate manager after one week, and he will see that you are serious.

2. Go the the next CPA affiliate networks, there are dozens of them and you should get accepted when you apply what I teach.

Basically you open up a store with them (which is free) then you upload a design or an image, choose which items you want it to be printed on, and then start selling your products. 2. Lulu.com – Lulu is similar to CafePress. Basically they are a self publishing service (print on demand). If you have written a book you can self publish with them and sell your products in their marketplace and anywhere you want to. You can create books, ebooks, cook books, photo books, Cd’s, DVD’s, calendars, plus heaps more!

3. Squidoo.com – It is free and simple to set up a Squidoo account. Squidoo is a popular publishing platform and community that makes it easy for you to create “lenses” online and create an income from the internet. You create a ‘Lens’ (A lens is basically a fancy word for webpage used by Squidoo.com); within your lens you can promote either your own products or other people’s products (Affiliate Marketing).

4. Blogger.com – Blogger is a free blog publishing tool from Google for easily sharing your thoughts with the world. Blogger makes it possible to earn an internet income via their free blog service. I personally use Blogger and have found success with it. I use Adsence, Affiliate products and sell advertising space on my blog to earn money online for free.

5. TheUltimateInternetMillionaire.com – This is a free online information and resource center for internet business. They have information on how to make money online including Ebay, Affiliate Marketing, AdSense, and Information Products business. They also tell you how to set up a website, how to market your website and products, plus heaps more. It’s a fantastic website full of goodies.

Make Money Online With … Pull Up Bars?

A few weeks ago, I announced that I was going to build a page pull up bars and rank it on Google. Well, I built the page, and so far it’s been on of the best “easy” niches I’ve found. Total time I’ve spent working on that page: less than an hour, and I’ve already made 20 bucks, and make a little more every day.
I haven’t worked on it at all. It’s a great niche, though, and I know that building an entire website in the niche would lead to $10-20 per day. Soo…
…I’m doing it. Last night I spent 89 cents on a domain and started an actual full-fledged pull up bars website. The domain is www.PullUpBars.info.
This is just going to be an example that I’ll use to show you how to build a website and rank it for anything. Again, I’ll be writing an entire article series explaining how I did it, detailing every single step of the way.

I did a little bookmark scrub this morning and thought I would share the remaining content of my "Online Money" folder. To warn you, there are certain things that I don't like and never bookmark so:

What's NOT included: Taking Paid Surveys, Getting Paid to Surf the Internet, MLM, Contest Sites, "Buy my DVD, CD, Audiobook", etc.

What IS included: Things you can use to legitimately make money online - Everything from Getting Paid to review software to good ole' Adsense.

Infolinks - Infolinks is probably the highest paying option for your in-text advertising. On DLM, you will see underlined links scattered throughout articles. Those are a function of Infolinks and without disclosing too much, it's been a great source of income. Best is that they accept all sizes of websites and blogs. Just sign up and begin.

Build a Niche Store - This is a simple store development platform which enables you to create content based sites that generate income through the eBay affiliate programs. Pretty darn simple and increasingly popular.
Adbrite - Sell space on your site for text ads. This would work like the DLM Marketplace you see on the right of my pages although I chose to manage it myself.
Amazon Affiliate Program - Easily create a store or shopping section on your site instead of sending your visitors to Amazon. Amazon handles the shopping cart and fulfillment.
Amazon Seller - Sell your stuff on Amazon
Associated Content - If you write a story, how-to, rant, how-to cut grass, etc., you can submit it to them and they will pay you $3-$20 per article if they like it.
Yahoo! Merchant Solutions - This is a pretty simple and cheap way to create an online store.
Azoogleads - Another ad program. They do have some decent companies lined up as advertisers. You provide space, they'll provide an ad.
BidVertiser - PPC (pay per click) program with a low $10 payout amount.
Blog - Start a blog and consistently write excellent content. With good ad placement, you may make some money. I detail my process here: Simply Said, How to Blog.
Cafepress - You provide a design, they'll toss it on a T-Shirt, Hat, etc. No upfront costs. Get a free online shop and promote your products on your website.
Chitika - Their eMiniMalls service has shown great results for many Bloggers and site owners. You choose a keyword and they show relevant products on your site using a pretty unique interface.
Clickbank - Quickly becoming my favorite affiliate program. They have thousands of things for you to advertise on your site.
ClicknWork - Get paid $5-$150 per hour for basically doing freelance work on a per-assignment basis. You have to pass a pretty tough test to get in.
Clicksor - These are the guys that generate contextual ads on sites that show up when you hover over a double-underlined word.
Commission Junction - If you have a site, you can join Commission Junction. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. There are easily over 1,000 companies to choose from here.
CreamAid - For blogs only, advertisers provide you with a topic and you write about it on your site. To do this, you have to install a flash widget into your blog post. The more people you bring into the conversation through the widget, the more you get paid. It's difficult to explain.
eefoof - Think of it as YouTube + Flickr + Music. You add original content and they pay you based on the visitors you attract.
Ether - If you are an expert on something, Ether provides a way for people to pay you to talk about it in a one-on-one setting. If you want to charge $250/hr, that's fine. You have to do all the advertising so you should have a blog or site already established.
eBay- Come on, you know what this is. Gather your junk and sell it!

eBay Stores - If you have a real store and want to sell your stuff online, this is a decent option to get you started.
ELance - Name gives it away. Programmers, Codes, Web Designers, Writers, Editors, can look for freelance opportunities.
Feedvertising - This is an arm of Text Link Ads and is currently only good for Wordpress 2.0 Users. This does me no good currently, but as you can guess, they place ads in your feed(s).
Feedburner / Google - Not only are they the best place to house your feeds, they will also add ads to your feed and website. You get paid per impression and if you implement Google Adsense to your feed, you are paid per click.
Google Adsense - Come on, you don't need an explanation; these ads are all over the place. Google displays relevant ads based on your site's content
Google Adwords - Create simple text ads and choose keywords that determine when they are displayed. This is where the Adsense Content comes from. You do not need a site for this.
H3.com - Get paid to fill jobs. Commissions range from $50-$5,000. It all depends on how tough the job is to fill and how desperate the hiring company is. This is another one that's tough to explain.
Indeed.com - Add their job board to your site. They then post jobs based on the geographic location of visitors and the position types you pre-select. I tried it and I they continually report that I sent 0 visitors and I know that's not right. Nevertheless, I may have an isolated problem so they make the list.
InnerSell - If you have a customer that wants to buy something you cannot sell, you can sell the lead here.
Jigsaw - It's a pretty flaky model but if you have a Rolodex full of good contacts, you can sell them here. I can't make sense of it but it looks like you get $0.10 per profile.
LinkShare.com - If you have a site, you can join Linkshare. Once enrolled for free, you can choose companies whose ads are pertinent to your site. Companies have the ultimate say on working with you. Like Commission Junction, there are a ton of companies waiting to evaluate your site.
Microsoft Adcenter - Bid on keywords and Microsoft places your created ads then they are searched for. This is similar to Google Adwords. You do not need a site for this.
Overstock.com - Sell your stuff on Overstock.com
Pay Per Post - I don't agree with this model entirely but they have advertisers that will pay you to write about their products on your blog.
Pheedo - If you have an RSS feed, run it through Pheedo. Like Feedburner, they can include ads into your feed and if you really become large,advertisers will pay a premium for you to show their ads.
Shareasale.com - I've never really worked with them but I do have an account. They are similar to Commission Junction and Linkshare however they seem to have lower tiered companies with advertising offers.
Shoemoney - This is a blog that can teach you a ton on making money online. I've spent hours reading his old stuff.
Software Judge - They will pay you up to $50 to review software.
Text Link Ads - I have never made a dime here but I know people that have. You can earn by sending advertisers to them or by selling spots on your site. You must have a real site or blog to do this - nothing on a shared domain (i.e. /blogspot).
Vibrant Media - Don't bother unless your site has 500,000 page views of text based content a month. If you have that readership, these are the guys that display bubble box ads to underlined words on your site.
West Work At Home Agent - Not entirely online but this is worth a mention because it's won awards and is very legitimate. If you are an at-home Mom or free-lancer without work, you should check this out.

28 Ways to Make Money with Your Website

There are several lists with “ways to make money with a website” on the Internet, but none of them seem to be complete. That is why I decided to create this one. If you know a method that is not listed below, just let us know and we’ll update it.

Notice that ways to make money with a website are different from ways to make more money from it. Methods to increase your traffic or click-through rate will help you make more money, but they do not represent a method of making money per se.
For example, one could suggest that blending AdSense ads with the content is a way to make money from a website. In reality it’s not; it’s just a way to make more money by improving your ad click-through rate. The real monetization method behind it is a PPC ad network.
The list is divided into direct and indirect methods, and examples and links are provided for each point. Enjoy!

Direct Methods

1. PPC Advertising Networks
Google AdSense is the most popular option under this category, but there are also others. Basically you need to sign up with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. The network will then serve contextual ads (either text or images) relevant to your website, and you will earn a certain amount of money for every click.
The profitability of PPC advertising depends on the general traffic levels of the website and, most importantly, on the click-through rate (CTR) and cost per click (CPC). The CTR depends on the design of the website. Ads placed abode the fold or blended with content, for instance, tend to get higher CTRs. The CPC, on the other hand, depends on the nice of the website. Mortgages, financial products and college education are examples of profitable niches (clicks worth a couple of dollars are not rare), while tech-related topics tend to receive a smaller CPC (sometimes as low as a couple of cents per click).
The source of the traffic can also affect the overall CTR rate. Organic traffic (the one that comes from search engines) tends to perform well because these visitors were already looking for something, and they tend to click on ads more often. Social media traffic, on the other hand, presents terribly low CTRs because these visitors are tech-savvy and they just ignore ads.

2. CPM Advertising Networks
CPM advertising networks behave pretty much as PPC networks, except that you get paid according to the number of impressions (i.e., page views) that the ads displayed on your site will generate. CPM stands for Cost per Mille, and it refers to the cost for 1,000 impressions.
A blog that generates 100,000 page views monthly displaying an advertising banner with a $1 CPM, therefore, will earn $100 monthly.
CPM rates vary with the network, the position of the ad and the format. The better the network, the higher the CPM rate (because they have access to more advertisers). The closer you put the ad to the top of the page, the higher the CPM. The bigger the format (in terms of pixels), the higher the CPM.
You can get as low as $0,10 and as high as $10 per 1,000 impressions (more in some special cases). CPM advertising tends to work well on websites with a high page views per visitor ratio (e.g., online forums, magazines and so on).

3. Direct Banner Advertising
Selling your own advertising space is one of the most lucrative monetization methods. First and foremost because it enables you to cut out the middleman commissions and to determine your own rates. The most popular banner formats on the web are the 728×90 leaderboard, the 120×600 skyscraper, the 300×250 rectangle and the 125×125 button.
The downside of direct banner advertising is that you need to have a big audience to get qualified advertisers, and you will need to spend time managing the sales process, the banners and the payments.

4. Text Link Ads
After Google declared that sites selling text links without the nofollow tag would be penalized, this monetization method became less popular.
Many website owners are still using text links to monetize their sites, though, some using the nofollow tag and some not.
The advantage of this method is that it is not intrusive. One can sell text links directly through his website or use specialized networks like Text-Link-Ads and Text-Link-Brokers to automate the process.

The latest trend on the web are widgets that let you monetize your website. Examples include Widgetbucks and SmartLinks. Some of these services operate under a PPC scheme, others behave like text link ads, others yet leverage affiliate links.

PayPerPost pioneered this model, with much controversy on the beginning (related to the fact that they did not require disclosure on paid posts). Soon other companies followed, most notably Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe, refining the process and expanding the paid blogging model.
Joining one of these sponsored reviews marketplaces will give you the opportunity to write sponsored posts on a wide range of topics. Not all bloggers are willing to get paid to write about a specific product or website (because it might compromise the editorial credibility), but the ones who do are making good money out of it.
If your blog has a big audience you could also offer sponsored reviews directly, cutting off the commissions of the middleman.

8. RSS Feed Ads
With the quick adoption of the RSS technology by millions of Internet users, website owners are starting to find ways to monetize this new content distribution channel.
Feedburber already has its own publisher network, and you can sign-up to start displaying CPM based advertising on your feed footer. Bidvertiser recently introduced a RSS feed ad option as well, with a PPC scheme.
Finally, some blogs are also opting to sell banners or sponsored messages on their feed directly. John Chow and Marketing Pilgrim are two examples.

If you website has specific columns or events (e.g., a weekly podcast, an interview series, a monthly survey, a special project) you could find companies to sponsor them individually.
This method increases the monetization options for website owner, while giving advertisers the possibility to target a more specific audience and with a reduced commitment.
Mashable illustrates the case well. They have several advertising options on the site, including the possibility to sponsor specific columns and articles, including the “Daily Poll” and the “Web 2.0 Invites.”
Problogger also runs group writing projects occasionally, and before proceeding he publicly announce the project asking for sponsors.

Some websites and blogs give away part of their content for free, and charge for access to the premium content and exclusive tools.
SEOMoz is a good example. They have a very popular blog that gives advice and information on wide range of SEO related topics. On top of that visitors can decide to become premium members. It costs $48 monthly and it grants them access to guides, tools and other exclusive material.
11. Private Forums
While the Internet is populated with free forums, there is also the possibility to create a private one where members need to pay a single or recurring fee to join.

SEO Blackhat charges $100 monthly from its members, and they have thousands of them. Obviously in order to charge such a price for a forum membership you need to provide real value for the members (e.g., secret techniques, tools, and so on).
Performancing also launched a private forum recently, focused on the networking aspect. It is called The Hive, and the monthly cost is $10.
These are just two examples. There are many possibilities to create a private and profitable forum, you just need to find an appealing angle that will make it worth for the members.

12. Job Boards
All the popular blogs are trying to leverage job boards to make some extra income. Guy Kawasaki, ReadWriteWeb, Problogger… you name it.
Needless to say that in order to create an active and profitable job board you need first to have a blog focused on a specific niche, and a decent amount traffic.
The advantage of this method is that it is passive. Once you have the structure in place, the job listings will come naturally, and you can charge anywhere from $10 up to $100 for each.

13. Marketplaces
Sitepoint is the online marketplace by excellence. Some websites and blogs, however, are trying to replicate that model on a smaller scale.
Depending on your niche, a market place that allows your visitors to buy, sell and trade products could work well. Over the time you could start charging a small fee for new product listings.
The problem with this method is that there are no standard software on the web, so you would need to hire a coder to get a marketplace integrated into your website.

14. Paid Surveys and Polls
There are services that will pay you money to run a small survey or poll on your website. The most popular one is called Vizu Answers.
Basically you need to sign up with them, and select the kind of polls that you want to run your site. Most of these services operate under a CPM model.
15. Selling or Renting Internal Pages
Million Dollar Wiki made this concept popular, but it was being used on the web for a long time around (check Pagerank10.co.uk for instance).
These websites sell for a single fee or rent for a recurring fee internal pages on their domain. Usually they have either high Pagerak or high traffic, so that people purchasing a page will be able to benefit in some way.
Implementing this method on a small blog would be difficult, but the concept is interesting and could be explored further.
16. Highlighted Posts from Sponsors
Techmeme probably pioneered this idea, but somehow it has not spread to other websites. The tech news aggregator displays editorial posts on the left column, and on the sidebar they have a section titled “Techmeme Sponsor Posts.”
On that section posts from the blog of the advertisers get highlighted, sending qualified traffic their way. Considering that the monthly cost for one spot is $5000 and that they have around 6 sponsors at any given time, it must be working well.
17. Donations
Placing a “Donate” link or button on a website can be an efficient way to earn money, especially if your blog is on a niche where readers learn and gain value from your content.
Personal development and productivity blogs, for instance, tend to perform well with donation based systems (one good example being Steve Pavlina).
A small variation of this method appeared sometime ago with the Buy Me a Beer plugin. This WordPress plugin enables you to insert a customized message at the bottom of each article, asking the readers to chip in for a beer or coffee.
18. In-text Adverting
In-text adverting networks like Kontera and Vibrant Media will place sponsored links inside your text. These links come with a double underline to differentiate them from normal links, and once the user rolls the mouse over the link the advertising will pop. Should the user click on it the site owner will make some money.
Some people make good money with this method, but others refrain from using it due to its intrusiveness. It is also interesting to note that very few mainstream websites have experimented with in-text advertising.
19. Pop-ups and Pop-unders
Pop-ups are a common yet annoying form of advertising on the Internet. If you are just trying to make a much money as possible from your website, you could experiment with them.
If you are trying to grow the traffic and generate loyal visitors, however, you probably should stay away from them. Just consider the hundreds of pop-up blockers out there: there is a reason why they are so popular.

20. Audio Ads
Also called PPP (Pay Per Play), this advertising method was introduce by Net Audio Ads. the concept is pretty simple: play a small audio advertising (usually 5 seconds) every time a visitor enters into your website. The user should not be able to stop it, creating a 100% conversion rate based on unique visitors.
The company is still rolling tests, but some users are reporting to get from a $4 to a $6 CPM. Regardless of the pay rate, though, this is a very intrusive form of advertising, so think twice before using it.
21. Selling the Website
Selling your website could be your last resource, but it has the potential to generate a big sum of money in a short period of time.
Market places on online forums like DigitalPoint and Sitepoint are always active with website buyers and sellers. Keep in mind that they most used parameter to determine the value of a website is the monthly revenue that it generates, multiplied by a certain number (the multiplier can be anything from 5 to 30, depending on the expectations of the seller, on the quality of the site, on the niche and other factors).
Some people also make money trading and flipping websites. They either create them from scratch or buy existing ones, and after some revamping they sell them for a profit.

Perhaps one of the oldest money making strategies on the web, using a website to promote a related ebook is a very efficient way to generate revenue.

Brian Clark leveraged the success of Copyblogger to launch a mentoring program teaching people how to build membership and how to sell content online. The program is titled Teaching Sells, and it costs $97 monthly. Sounds expensive, but they have over 1,000 members.
28. Creating a conference around the website
If your website takes off and becomes an authority on its niche, you could create a conference around it. Depending on the size of your audience, the event could attract thousands of people, and you could make money directly from conference passes and sponsors.
Search Engine Land, for instance, created a series of conferences that visit several cities on the United States and on other countries as well. The conferences are called Search Marketing Expo, and the tickets and passes cost thousands of dollars.

Making money online used to pretty much require you to have your own Web site, products to sell and some marketing savvy. But a new generation of dot-coms have arisen that will pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a web designer or a marketing genius.
But it's hard to tell hype from the real deal. I did a search on "make money online" and "making money online", and much of the information out there is just promoting various infoproducts, mostly about Internet marketing. I see why people sometimes ask, "Is anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts?"
So I put together a list of business opportunities with legitimate companies that:

Pay cash, not just points towards rewards or a chance to win money
Don't require you to have your own Web domain or your own products
Don't involve any hard-selling
Aren't just promoting more Internet marketing
Give a good return on your time investment

In the interest of objectivity, none of the links below are affiliate links, and none of them have paid or provided any other consideration for their presence here. These are legitimate companies with business models that allow you to get paid for a wide range of activities.Help friends find better jobs.
Sites like ReferEarns, Zyoin, Who Do You Know For Dough?, Bohire and WiseStepp connect employers with prospective employees, many of whom are already employed and not actively job-hunting, via networking - the people who know these qualified candidates. Rewards for referring a candidate who gets hired range from $50 on up to several thousand dollars - not chump change. If you know a lot of job-seekers (and who doesn't these days?), this is a great way to break into the recruiting business with no overhead.
Connect suppliers with buyers.
Referral fees are a common practice in business, but they haven't been used much in online networking sites because there was no way to track them. Sites like Salesconx, InnerSell and uRefer now provide that. Vendors set the referral fees they're willing to pay (and for what), and when the transaction happens, you get paid. uRefer also allows merchants to set up referral programs for introductions and meetings, as well as transactions.
Write.
A growing number of sites will pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium will "pay for performance" based on page views for just about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they're looking for can earn direct payments up to about $200. The rates are probably low for established writers, but if you're trying to break into the field and have time on your hands, they're a great way to start. Start your own blog.
You don't have to have your own Web site, or install blogging software, or even figure out how to set up the advertising. At Blogger you can set up a blog for free in less than five minutes without knowing a thing about web design, and Blogger even automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog by displaying ads and getting paid when people click on the ads. To make even more money from it, set up an affiliate program (see below) for books, music, etc., and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items. You'll have to get a lot of traffic to become a six-figure blogger, but pick an interesting topic, write well, tell all your friends, and you're off to a good start.

Create topical resource hubs.
Are you an expert on a particular niche topic? Can you put together an overview of the topic and assemble some of the best resources on the topic from around the web? Then you can create topical hubs and get paid through sites like Squidoo, HugPages and Google Knol. Payments are based on a combination of ad revenue and affiliate fees. You'll get higher rates doing it on your own, but these sites have a built-in supply of traffic and tools to make content creation easier.
Advertise other people's products.
If you already have a Web site or a blog, look for vendors that offer related but non-competing products and see if they have an affiliate program. Stick to familiar products and brands - they're easier to sell. To promote those products:

Place simple text or graphical ads in appropriate places on your site

Just be careful that you don't have images of trademarked brands, copyrighted art or people's faces that are readily identifiable (unless you have a model release), but just about anything else is fair game, and I promise - you'd be amazed what people need pictures of, so don't make any assumptions. If it's a decent photo, upload it. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, Dreamstime and iStockphoto. The great thing about this is that it's truly "set it and forget it".
The above list is by no means comprehensive, but it highlights some of the new and interesting ways to make money online without investing any money, without having a product of your own, and without having expert sales and marketing skills. Most of all, unlike taking surveys or getting paid to read e-mail, the potential return on your time investment is substantial.

I don’t really want to get into Project Payday, but I’ll give you a nice overview of the program simply because we already made a post dedicated to Project Payday. With Project Payday, you get paid for trying out membership trials and then canceling those trials. The only catch is that you must cancel the membership before the trial ends or else you will be fined for next month. Ideally, you can spit out a couple of $50s a day once you get used to it. How to Successfully Market Your Product on the Internet

I’d bet every single Internet Marketer has at least once thought about creating their very own product and marketing it. Why settle with just 75% when you can take 100% of the profit. You don’t need to be a well known authority figure on the web to make your very own product and sell it. Although it may help, it isn’t necessarily required. As long as you’re a knowledgeable person that has the slightest clue of putting words together on writing something informative, you have the capability like any other marketer, to make your very own product and sell it. Don’t let competition discourage you from creating your own product. While it may seem everything has been written about, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is off limits, writing your product in your very own prospective alone can already be a reason why people would buy your product. If it is a service you are offering or a real life product, think of a competitive edge for your business. You won’t know if marketing your own product is profitable or not until you try.
Product Presentation
In any given situation, presentation is the most important thing on deciding the success of a product. The way you present your product will define how successful your product will sell. Presentation is like a weapon, it can either build way to a bright future for your product or in the wrong hands, dig a deeper hole for you and your product. Google Emphasizes on Website Quality Even More

Google SEO has always been an on-going battle for many webmasters, luckily, Google is taking action. For the most part, Google’s major concern are the users doing the searching, where quality and relevance is all that matters to Google – reason why Google’s algorithm was invented, to get rid of spam and rank high quality sites on top. Google’s ideal goal is to serve users the best relevant results and in order to do so, this involves Geo-targeting, looking at web surf behaviors, and much more. In other words, Google is looking at a lot more factors now more than ever to rank a site. There was once a time where getting a simple link from a trusted source was enough to rank universally for any good keyword, nowadays, it is a lot more complex. Google is now taking into consideration bounce rates, search behaviors, time on site before a surfer leaves, and many more factors to rank a certain site. They are really trying to push webmasters to create better quality content that is engaging for users. It has been noted that back when search engine optimization was still very young, there were only around 128 factors in deciding a site’s rankings, nowadays, the tides have changed and we are now looking at above 200. As you may know, Google doesn’t like to reveal much information on how they rank sites, however one thing still stands clear, is that Google wants to push high quality sites up and low quality sites down. If you take into consideration in adding quality content to your website that has some of these engaging components like pictures, videos, and audio and much more, you are looking at the right path. Quality search is the future and in order to stay in the game of SEO, one must adapt.

The more Google becomes more sophisticated, the more factors we are going to be looking at as webmasters. Google is really trying to clean up it’s mess on really trying to eliminate low quality sites that just clog up the search engine results and they are willing to look deep down at web analytics in order to push spam.
And what connection does these 2008 interviews regarding Google search have on us today?
If you haven’t noticed, Google has most recently pushed it’s new caffeine update search results in one of Google’s data center. You can bet that they have been testing some of the factors mentioned in the videos and have incorporated some in their algorithm. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they incorporated social buzz from sites like Twitter, Digg, and Mixx, as one of their factors in their algorithm. Google officially plans on slowly pushing the FULL caffeine search results to their live search results after the holidays. I have been reading A LOT and trying to learn as much as I can. I have run into conflicting stories, though. I just don’t know where to start. I am not a computer tech, nor that knowledgeable about how to start. I am NOT asking for a handout; just a helping hand in the right direction.
I’m not expecting to make tons of money today, but ANYTHING to help me get started in the right direction. I have saved thousands of lives and now I can’t even get through the month without running out of food!”
Cathy has the right attitude — she’s not looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, but instead a legitimate way to make some extra money online.
Having been sucked into some scams myself in the past, I know how difficult it can be to find real ways to make money online fast. Thus, I’ve compiled this list. Some ways require knowledge of certain skills, but all these skills can be learned. If you don’t know where to start, I suggest picking one of these ways and learning more about it, then trying it out!
Note: None of the 20 ways listed below contain affiliate links (that is, links that make me money if you click on them.) This list is for your benefit, not mine. Enjoy!

1. Amazon’s Mechanical Turk.

Mechanical Turk is a great way to make some extra cash. You probably won’t make much more than a few dollars an hour, but it’s also dead simple to complete many of the tasks. Most tasks take less than a minute to complete and pay a few pennies. If you do a lot of MTurk, it could add up to at least some fun spending money. Sign up for free, then complete qualifications to earn access to higher-paying tasks.

2. Sell stock photos.

iStockPhoto is just one site that allows you to sell stock photos; there are others. Before you decide to go crazy and upload your whole album, take note of what’s selling well and try your hand at doing something similar. iStockPhoto also works for those who know how to render images; some of their most popular images were created on a computer! Have three killer stock photos ready for iStockPhoto’s inspection; they will want them when you sign up.

3. Sell stuff on eBay.

Start by selling your own extra stuff. Then, once you get a feel for selling your extra stuff, go door-to-door in nicer neighborhoods in your town. Develop an eye for what will sell and what won’t (old laptops, for instance, could be a gold mine–if you know how to format them to get rid of the previous owner’s personal data.) Sign a contract where you take 25-30% (or more) of the gross sale. Your customers will be happy to get cash for their old junk, and you’ll make some good money selling other people’s stuff. eBay

4. Become a freelance article writer.

It may not pay well, but there is a growing demand for this. Write 200-300 word articles and submit them to article directories. Potential clients include bloggers, marketers, and small businesses. You can write articles in a niche in batches and sell them as a package to one or more clients, or you can offer your services for hire per word or article and let your client give you direction. A foundation of keyword research is important to succeed at this job (unless you’re just taking direction from a client), but keyword research is learnable.

5. Write articles for magazines or other publications.

If you have a background in journalism, or just a passion for it, you can try your hand at submitting articles to publications. Don’t just randomly fire off articles, however; have a plan and, preferably, a contact at the publication you wish to submit to. The good news is that there are publications in pretty much any niche you can think of. To see some publications that are hiring, visit Online Writing Jobs, PoeWar Freelance Jobs, and Writing.com.

6. Transcribe audio files.

An easy job; doesn’t pay well, but also a quick way to make some money. Sign up on eLance or oDesk to start, and/or advertise your services in entrepreneur forums. Requires good hearing and a good command of the English language. You may also want to invest in a foot pedal if you plan to transcribe often. Make sure you know how to transcribe interviews before you start your first job.

7. Become a virtual assistant (VA).

There are entire books written on how to become a virtual assistant, so this job is definitely worthy of more research. My advice: Focus on one niche (I just hired Lisa Morosky of VA for Bloggers, for instance.) Also, reach out to potential customers directly and let them know what you can do for them instead of hitting up freelance web sites. Finally, you may want to consider resources such as AssistU, which provides training for up-and-coming virtual assistants.

8. Write articles on eHow.com.

If you understand the basics of keyword research, you can make a good monthly income from eHow. eHow pays you a percentage of the ad revenue they make from each “How to” article you create. You can crank out a few articles a day with relative ease. Try this for a month; assuming your article titles match up with what people are searching for in Google, you can make a significant income. The great news is that you write your articles once and get paid month after month. I’ve seen figures of $100-$150/month for 30 articles. Make money writing for eHow.com.

9. Do some videos to promote affiliate products.

Enjoy making silly videos? Even short, silly videos can sell products online. Find an product worth promoting that has an affiliate program, then target your video toward potential customers of that product. In your video summary on YouTube, place your affiliate link for the product, and after the video, do a 30-second still frame showing a short URL where people can buy the product. If your video is funny, informative, or useful, you may sell some products. Big tip: Try to promote a product that makes you a fair amount of money for each sale, but doesn’t cost a whole lot for the potential customer. You can find products on Commission Junction, for one.

10. Write an ebook targeted to people who need help.

Alexis Dawes created a product called “Desperate Buyers Only”. I interview her for an upcoming case study on Inspiring Innovators, where she mentions that she is able to make up to $97 from ebooks as small as 12 pages. The key? Finding people who are incredibly desperate for the information you provide and then doing good research to find a real solution to their problems. The result? Happy customers whose problem is solved, and money for you — a win-win situation! Caveat: It may be tough to find a real desperate buyer niche (Alexis reveals some in her case study). Here are some hints: When were you last in a situation where information would have either saved you a lot of money or a lot of pain? Has someone else close to you been in a situation where they could have used information to avert pain? Think legal, medical, and financial niches.

11. Build a small niche website.

Yes, you can make money online.I run a few small niche websites. For instance, How to Convert PDF is a tiny site that has free videos on how to convert other types of documents into PDF format. It sells a piece of software called PDF Creator, and I make a few dollars every time someone buys from that site. I promoted the site using pay-per-click ads and it was profitable. Don’t copy me directly, but do find the intersection of people needing help and a tool, ebook, or software program that will help them fix their problem. Then, create a website designed to get them to buy it!

12. Help local businesses develop an online presence.

Local businesses are struggling. Many have websites, but aren’t getting any results from them. Others don’t have websites at all. You can help by learning search engine optimization, how to set up an email list, and more, and then implementing these for local businesses. If you typically hang around geeks, web marketers, or the Web 2.0 crowd, you may be surprised how many business owners are 10 years (or more) behind you! If you can deliver results, business owners will happily pay. Find customers by going door-to-door.

13. Learn Wordpress, then offer to install plugins and upgrade it.

I hired David from Web Geek 4 Hire to upgrade my blogs and install new Wordpress plugins. He charges $5 to upgrade a plugin…great for him, since most plugins only take a few minutes to upgrade, and great for me, since if anything breaks, David gets to clean up the mess! You can make this a full time position; there is a ton of demand for these services. Find customers by contacting bloggers directly. Get references from bloggers who understand the value of outsourcing these tasks.

14. Become the go-to person for installations of a particular piece of software.

Anything from Amember to Quickbooks is fair game here. In the hosting industry, iDevAffiliate and Plesk Billing were the pieces of software we would have paid a lot of money to have someone else deal with. The more niche and more complex/annoying/frustrating the software, the better! Even if the software company offers free installation, you can make hundreds or thousands of dollars training business owners or their employees on its usage. Focus on one piece of software and become the trusted expert. Create videos and tutorials using screencast software like Camtasia to increase your profitability; this may also lead into a niche product that you can sell. (Amember offers “free installation”, but it took my boyfriend and I over 10 hours to configure it properly. That’s definitely something I would outsource next time!)

15. Interview other people and sell the interviews.

I experimented with this in 2008 and made over $800 from one interview. The key here is to understand a pain point that people are experiencing, interview an expert, and ask the expert the questions that the people experiencing the problem are having. Then create a small website and sell the interview. There’s more to this, including having good copywriting skills so your website sells the interview well, and knowing where to advertise, so don’t expect to immediately pull in hundreds of dollars. That said, it’s a neat way to quickly create a product. Get the interviews transcribed, then string a few interviews in the same industry together as a membership site or bundle that you can sell for more money.

16. Become a freelance “web geek.”

From configuring a shopping cart to installing and tweaking blog themes, there are virtually unlimited projects out there for geeks who enjoy working with small business owners to get them up and running online. Find people looking for web geeks on the Warrior Forum or other places where entrepreneurs gather.

17. Enter logo and design contests.

Fancy yourself a good designer? Try your hand at creating a logo or other design that a company loves! 99 Designs is the most popular marketplace. Beware, however; you won’t get paid unless your logo wins against many others, which makes many designers unhappy. In my opinion, this is a great way for a budding designer to build a portfolio and learn quickly what clients love.

18. Create Twitter backgrounds and e-covers.

Competition is stiff, but if you are a savvy designer, this is a good way to pick up extra dollars. Even better, if you are an artist, this is a good way to make your art skills pay off. Consider that every design will need to have a reason why the customer should buy the book or follow that person on Twitter to have a real impact. 19. Submit websites or blog posts to social media websites.

Not very exciting work, but in high demand from bloggers and small businesses. This involves setting up accounts on all of the social bookmarking services and then bookmarking your clients’ websites or latest blog posts to help them get more traffic. You may be competing against software that does this, but in many folks’ opinions, it’s better to have a real person do it. Even better is if you can goose your accounts with plenty of friends and become a star on a few of the services; then every site you bookmark has higher credibility and you can charge more. 20. Edit audio for others.

This is something that is fairly easy to learn and also in high demand. On Windows, one good program to edit audio is Sony Sound Forge. I use Sound Forge Audio Studio, but if you are doing this professionally, you might consider the upgrade to Sound Forge 9. Get the hang of editing out “um”s and “ah”s from audio. Even better is understanding the “flow” of an interview conversation and editing out portions that don’t make sense. Finally, learning to find and add intro music really gives podcasts that professional touch. Advertise your services on oDesk or eLance. I pay people to do this for the podcasts I am setting up on Inspiring Innovators, and it’s a job that can definitely be done from your house.

2. Affiliate Marketing (Get Paid Per Lead) - This concept is also similar to that of the above way of making money on sale of affiliate products but here you are not required to make any sale to make money. Your work is to promote a link which would lead a prospect to a site where he will be asked to do an activity as desired by the programme and you get your commission when the activity is done. The activities that I have just mentioned are just simple tasks like filling up a form, entering their email address or address or zip code or phone number etc, sign up for a free service, download a pdf or software etc, sign up for a free trial and etc.

Commissions are generally low as compared to the get-paid-per-sale programmes . As the tasks are free to be done and no payments of any sort are required to be made so generally the conversion rate is high and this more then balances the low commission rates. Now many webmasters and affiliate marketers are seen to focus their attention more on get-paid-per-lead programmes to make money online due to their high conversion rates. There are many such programmes on net just do a Google or Yahoo and you will get plenty of pay-per-lead programmes to promote and make money online.

3. Content Website - Start a content website and put up useful content, resources and the like on a topic that is of much importance and general demand. Optimize your website for the search engines so that you can get free organic traffic. Promote your site online through various mediums like forums, classifieds, advertisements, PPC etc to drive traffic. Then when you start getting a good amount of traffic to your site you can monetize it through various means to earn a considerable income online. You can use contextual advertising like AdSense of Google, promote Affiliate Products (both pay per sale and lead), sell advertising space, sell links, use in-line text ad programmes like Kontera and etc to make money from your website. 4. Blog - You can start a blog and monetize it to earn money online. There are hundreds of blogs online which are making a fortune with this way - in fact this is the second most popular choice of persons who are interested or have already started to make money online. You can start a blog for free at Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, MovableType etc but Blogger is the best choice. You can also start self hosted blog if you have money. For this way the basic requirements that you need to have is a computer, an Internet connection and some skills to offer. You can get freelancing work at GetAFreelancer.com, Elance.com, RentACoder.com, Guru.com and Scriptlance.com etc. These sites mainly work as a middleman between the employers and the freelancers. Registration is free and you need to pay a minor part of your earnings to the freelance sites for their service. Some examples of Freelance work that you can get are Copywriting, Proofreading, Translation, Data Entry, Data Processing, Website Design, Web Promotion, Graphic Design, Link Building, SEO, Telemarketing, Banner Design, Logo Design, C/C++, Photoshop, XML, PHP, Flash, Website Security, Java and etc. Get your self registered to these sites and choose some projects to bid upon to get one to do. 6. Surveys - Answering surveys is a great way to make fast and easy money online. It is also a legitimate and popular way to make money online which virtually requires no personal skill set. You only require a computer, an Internet connection, addresses of some survey providing sites to start with and of course some spare time to answer the surveys and you are ready to get paid for your opinion. Once you are registered with the sites they will send you surveys which you need to fill up to get paid. Pay rates vary but normally are around $5 per survey. 7. Online Ebay Store - You can start a virtual store online selling out products on Ebay. The products can be your own inventory or somebody else's. You can sell virtually anything on Ebay.com - from pins to ships. In case of your own products you need to handle the packaging yourself but if you tie up with a drop shipping company and sell their products then you need not worry about anything other than promotion of your store. All the tools and help needed for promotion can be found on Ebay. They have a very detailed "Help" section to help you set your store.

You can even sell the junk in your house or office that are of no use to you on Ebay and make some money. You can also sell other people's junk through your store in return for a commission. You can bid for products and buy them at a lower cost and list them in your store to sell at a higher price thus earning good profit. In fact you can sell anything on Ebay to earn a healthy income.

8. Ebay Affiliate - You can register yourself for free as an Ebay affiliate and promote Ebay through promotional means like through your website or blog, through forums and groups etc. You will earn a commission of $3 for each person coming through to Ebay by clicking on your affiliate link and registering for free. Get 10 people to register a day and you can make $900 a month - a decent way of making money online just for motivating people to do something for free.

9. Equity Trading - I hope we all have heard somebody or the other talking about equities, shares, share market and stock exchanges quiet often. Even you or anybody else can start share trading by getting ourselves registered with any share broker. Though a high risk medium to earn money but if done properly can earn you a real lot of money. You can trade on shares through the broker or sub-broker's terminal at their premises or can open an online account to start trading from your own computer having an Internet connection.

You can buy shares and keep them to be sold when their price rises or can even do Day Trading which means to buy and sell shares on a daily basis for small profits. Once again I must mention that this is particularly a very risky field and you can even lose your capital in just a matter of seconds if you are not careful enough. So it is advised that you educate yourself about the different aspects of share trading including its risks and gains before entering the market. Learn some technical analysis to be on the safer side and never ever believe any so called expert blindly because nobody can predict the movement of an equity. There are many resources available on Internet to learn the field so go ahead - learn - apply. Start with a very small investment and gradually increase later as you start learning the loop holes of this online money making way.

10. Futures and Options - Almost same as above but you got to buy shares in bulk and the game is played on future prices so large investment and more larger risk factors come into play. It is advisable to first enter the Equity trading field and then slowly gain knowledge on Futures and Options and then enter it gradually. This is a very high risk and high gain way of making money online.

Commodity Trading - Almost same as above in the concept except here you have to deal with commodities like metals, oil, grains etc. There are separate commodity stock exchanges that deals in commodity trading. The game is played on future prices so more risky. You would have to invest in bulk amounts. There are two options to go for - Future and Options. Again utmost caution is advised and learn before you jump in. Again a high risk way of earning money online but is quiet rewarding too.

12. Forex Trading - Foreign+Exchange=FOREX. This is also one more very enticing way of earning money online. This is also almost similar in concept to equity trading but here foreign currencies are traded through one large world over market - the Forex market. The Forex market is a non-stop cash market where currencies of various nations are traded, typically via brokers. You can open an account with any of these brokers and start trading currencies online from your home. Foreign currencies are constantly and simultaneously bought and sold across local and global markets and traders' investments increase or decrease in value based upon currency movements and their values at a particular moment. Foreign exchange market is very volatile so conditions can change at any time in response to real-time events the world over thus affecting the rates of currencies.

The best part is that the market is open 24hrs and never closes - so you can trade at any time. You can trade in any currency you want like Dollars, Euro or Yen etc. It is a volatile market offering many profit opportunities like you can gain both from gaining and falling markets. There are also many risk controlling instruments like arbitrage and hedging etc. You can trade in large amounts with a very small margin money kept as security with your broker. There is also the option of zero commission offered by many brokers. But as in the previous options educate yourself before you jump into the field. PPC – Drive Traffic With These PPC Networks

Google AdWords is a very popular PPC (pay per click) network. It’s no surprise that it is the most popular network, because they do have far more traffic available than any other PPC network out there.
But they do have some drawbacks that discourage many users. For one thing, they are also considered the most expensive PPC network. Since they have more traffic, they also have a lot more competition. This drives prices way up. AdWords also has more rules than most of the other networks.
Because of things like intense competition, high prices, and rules that many believe to be a bit excessive, more and more marketers are looking for other options.
One of the best alternatives is MSN AdCenter. MSN/Bing is one of the most popular search engines, and they do have a decent level of traffic. It’s obviously nowhere near the level of Google, but they do have enough traffic to make using them worthwhile. Their prices are generally cheaper than AdWords, making them an attractive option.
Yahoo Search Marketing is also popular. Yahoo has been a leader in the search engine marketplace for many years, and they provide a decent level of traffic. Their prices are reasonable, too.
Kanoodle has been popular for several years. They boast pretty good traffic and competitive prices. Although they don’t have the level of traffic that one of the big three could provide, they still have enough to provide a steady flow to some of the bigger search terms.
AdBrite is a network that pays webmasters to put their ads on their sites. Because they have a relatively large number of Non-AdWords Options for Pay Per Click Marketing advertisers, they can provide a fair number of visitors. Since they have to pay their advertisers, their prices aren’t quite as low as they could be, but they are still generally far less than AdWords. Personally I haven’t had much success with them.
One of the networks that many webmasters recommend staying away from is GoClick. This network is notorious for providing high volumes of very low-quality traffic. Their clicks are generally very inexpensive, and they can provide very high traffic volumes, but most webmasters claim the quality of the traffic is so poor that it’s practically impossible to even break even, much less make a profit.
There are several other networks that might have potential for some website owners. Some of them have decent traffic levels and good prices. It’s best to put a few dollars into several networks and test the traffic before you make a decision on which ones to use in a bigger way.
Some others you may want to try include: 7 Search, Miva, LookSmart, Ask.com, Search 123, Search Feed, ABC Search, Findology, Local.com, and Pulse 360.
Although Google Adwords should be your first choice do try several of these PPC networks to see which one works best for your niche.
